“I eat at local steak houses Roots and Ruth Chris relatively frequently at least once per month, I wanted to switch up my experience so I searched best steakhouse in New Jersey and this came up. I had no clue how much of a treat I was in for, my father and I sat down for a 3 hour dinner that easily was one of the top meals I have ever had in my life. Sushi here is amazing, the Foxy and Lover Rolls are a must have. All meat products here are high quality and seasoned in a captivating way that will keep me coming back for more. Deserts are plentiful, more on the adventurous side but still amazing, all of their coffee options are also great. The mashed potato rings are a must have! Our waitress Cathy was outstanding in every way, very attentive, and overall a nice person. Everything else aside, and most importantly: the Feathered Fox is CONSISTENT! This establishment is a true hidden treasure. Compliments to the entire service team and chefs at the Feathered Fox.“

“I truly enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great as well as the food. It is tiny and not loud like other Portuguese restaurants I have visited over by Newark. I do believe the prices are right based on the quality of the food.Average price per person is between $30-$50.“

“Went here for dinner and had a good experience. Our server, Nia, was awesome. Incredibly friendly. She was quick to get our order in. When one of our steaks was over done she had a new one made right away no issue. She’s definitely a stand out employee that any restaurant would be lucky to have.“

“The service here is truly 5 stars, worth it to return for that attention and comfort. They have the routine down and give you the attention you want and feel special on for a night out. Definitely recommend reservations as it got major crowded in the tables and around the bar. Their cocktail list is impressive and was not disappointing in execution. We had the stuffed mushrooms to start and it was juicy though underseasoned. Their steaks were exactly what you want and I recommend the au poivre sauce as a tangy condiment. That was memorable for sure. The place overall just seems dark and outdated in furnishings, especially in the bathrooms. Their food hits the mark and service makes it worth returning.“

“What a delight! Nick, the manager, was gracious as he met us at the door and made sure we were seated at a table we liked. Our server, Hillary, went above and beyond to explain the menu, guide us to making superb choices and kept us well entertained with her wit and humor. The filet was perfectly prepared, simply the best steak I ever tasted. The sides were equally good, and we found a very nice Malbec that complimented the meal perfectly. My husband and I shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was delicious. The portion was so large, we brought half of it home. Absolutely a top recommendation. We will be returning!“

“I have to say this place is top-notch phenomenal ?. I was here with my family for my birthday and Jon was our server. To start we ordered the wings and Burrata as appetizers OMG delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Tomahawk for my husband and I with hand-cut fries and brussel sprouts and my daughter ordered the Boneless Ribeye with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Every single dish tasted like homemade. For dessert, we had the Tres leches and Tiramisu. Tres leches wasn't too sweet and Tiramisu was on point. “I came here with my parents a few months ago. As usual, Roots rustic ambiance, excellent food/drinks and impeccable service did not disappoint! I ordered the surf and turf and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was prompt, polite and checked in frequently without being overbearing or annoying. The cocktails were unique and stellar. I'm so thankful that such a high quality restaurant exists in both Summit and Morristown. This steak house competes with all of the upper echelon ones in Manhattan. It's just as good as Keehn's and other prominent city destinations. Highly recommend!“

Our server Danielle was knowledgeable about the food and asked about allergies before we ordered. Get the crab cake if that's your thing, this was one of the best I've ever tasted. “Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. This was a great choice for our 10th wedding anniversary. We’re so glad we found it. Highly recommend!!!!!!“

“Traveling for business and my colleague and I were craving steak came across this place. Decided to go here based on the reviews. Run do not walk to this place. Oh my God fantastic food. The staff is amazing. It's what you want in a steakhouse. We had the meatball appetizer , lasagna, New York strip, filet mignon and we split the Wagyu steak. We got mashed potatoes, and broccoli. lol it was only the two of us - plenty of food - ooh and I got ricotta cheese cake for dessert.“

“We frequent this location at least once a month it is a little further than our local location but worth the trip. The staff is always friendly and make it worth the additional 15 mins. We were there on Saturday the busiest night in the business . One of our steaks was a little over cooked ( it happens ) We notified Joyce our server who is a very good waitress about it she sent Taj the manager over she came over rectified the situation quickly and was a very pleasant young lady a real asset for Outback. We will continue to frequent this location for this reason.“
