“Before I went back to college after spring break, me and my family took a stop at the Colonial Diner to get some food for diner, driving into the parking lot and getting seated pretty quickly. There were a good amount of other people in the diner, so getting a seat quickly was nice. Service wasn't anything special, but I don't really mind. The atmosphere of the diner is great, a very retro feel like it just came out of the early to mid 1900s. It was a cozy vibe. We got the 21 shrimp, breakfast burger, french toast, and some fish that was a special- sorry for forgetting the name. Really liked my breakfast burger and my sister's french toast. The shrimp was pretty basic though, and I think the fish could've been seasoned a bit better (it still tasted good!).Overall a pretty good place to drop into if you're looking for an affordable bite with a nice vibe.“
“It's a very long wait on a Sunday. I arrived around 11.15 and the wait for one person was an hour. For two people or more it was a 3 hour wait. The famous pancakes were delicious, even as a single stack was quite large. The home fries were just broken up hash browns so a little disappointed.I would go back if I was super hungry, but because of the long wait I had eaten something small beforehand.“
“I really wanted a tasty burger. I've arrived. Nice, cozy...I took the burger. And they stuffed so much finely chopped grass into it that it felt like you weren’t eating meat, but had become a vegan...The chicken is delicious, the sauce is just greatFrench fries are very, very goodOverall a good place, but the burger was disappointing“
“If you want a New York/Broadway experience which includes talented people on the rise singing for you as well as waiting your table... Eat in here... Open from breakfast to dinner... Pop in when the line is not too long or else you might be in for quite some wait time.“
“The shrimp and grits are good — cheesy, lemony and perfectly seasoned. The people are nice and the decor is immaculate. We sat at the counter and the bar is so aesthetic✨ Would love to come back with a reservation and dine in one of the booths.“
“Amazing, uncomplicated food that's tasty and really good value. The challah bread is particularly good, and I love the potato soup. It's also a very welcoming place to eat if you're on your own - just take a seat at the counter!“
“Our favorite diner in Park Slope. Our most preferred dishes are the chicken & waffles, classic nachos, huevos rancheros, mango smoothie, cheeseburger, and enchiladas. The diner does Mexican dishes very well. Their house hot sauce is hot, makes me sweat, that's hot spicy it is. Strongly recommended.“
“We found out about Westway from reviews left on our hotels website. After doing some research and seeing how thoroughly and thoughtfully Peter read and answered the reviews people left about the Diner, it quickly became clear that we would pay this establishment a visit. Was it worth it? Hell yeah it was!All in all we visited twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. The moment we walked through the door into this restaurant with a classic American diner aesthetic, we felt very welcomed by the staff working there. During our breakfast visit Maria, our server, did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to meet. The choice of food and it‘s quality was great and all drinks were always kept full during our visits. Be it coffee or be it soda. All was taken care of.If I were in the neighborhood again I would definitely pay Westway diner another visit!Kid-friendliness: Family friendly establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level. No stairs into the diner or to the restrooms.“
“Times Square Diner & Grill is where the heart of New York City beats in every bite! Nestled in the vibrant Theater District, this bustling diner is a symphony of flavors and friendly vibes. Picture this: you step inside, and the aroma of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee envelops you. The menu is a love letter to classic American comfort food, with generous portions that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance. ?☕Breakfast here is legendary—whether you’re craving a Western omelette with ham, onions, and peppers or diving into a stack of cinnamon-kissed French toast, you’re in for a treat. And let’s talk about their potato home fries—crispy, golden, and addictive! ??The service? Lightning fast and genuinely friendly. The staff at Times Square Diner & Grill make sure you’re well taken care of, whether you’re a solo diner or part of a bustling crowd. It’s like stepping into a warm hug from your favorite aunt. ?Now, let’s chat about value. You won’t break the bank here, but you’ll leave with a full belly and a smile. It’s the kind of place where memories are made—where you laugh over pancakes, share stories, and feel like a true New Yorker. ??️“
“Stellar!! You'll have to wait in line (no reservations) but it doesn't take too long. Service is good and food comes out quick. Extremely reasonably priced and really incredible food. No frills diner and authentic new york experience. Could not recommend this place enough“
“Had our breakfast here every day during our recent 5 day stay in NYC. Worth the wait some mornings. Friendly staff, especially Josie - beautiful, smiley, friendly and welcoming. Tasty, filling, great value for money breakfasts - set us up for the day.“
“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“
“This place being the oldest diner in New Jersey (1925), walking in was like stepping back in time. The man running the place was very nice, it was fun and enjoyable having a conversation with him. It was great as my friend and I sat at the counter watching our food being cooked on the grill right in front of us. My friend ordered their stuffed pancakes, and they were as big as a flying saucer! I had the standard sunny side eggs, toast, bacon and sausage. Everything was delicious and had that classic old time diner taste we all remember. My friend and I are definitely going back there again very soon as it was that enjoyable.“
“A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.“
“EAT HERE!! It’s my first time in NYC, and this place is my go-to. I’ve come here for breakfast & dinner. It’s clean, BIG food portions (delicious food), the staff is VERY friendly and kind. It’s also in a safer area as well, I haven’t encountered any problems around here. I recommend this place!! 10/10“
“We came here on a Saturday and from start to finish Ray’s was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and for it to be as crowded as it was they were very engaging with the customers. The food came out quickly and was delicious! Truly a wonderful family owned spot! Will definitely be going back.“
“We had lunch here, and sat outside on a lovely fall day. Service was a bit funky -- not bad at all, but somewhat forgetful -- but the staff was friendly, apologetic when appropriate, and enjoyable. The food was very good. Classic old-style diner with a broad-ranging menu. Everything we had was well-prepared, tasty, and served hot. I'll go back. A little gem.“
“Top notch! I was skeptical of the high ratings since many of the places we've been to in Manhattan have been higher rated than I would give them but ZAZA'S has earned it. The turkey bacon was the best I've ever had and the French toast was divine. My husband also said it was 4.5 stars for him, the highest rating he voiced for any place we visited this trip.“
“Burgers and Chinese food at one place, never would have thought! Burgers were good, big and juicy, and relatively inexpensive. The "caramelized onions" were those fried onions you get from a can and not really caramelized onions. But for 10 bucks with fries and a can of soda, im ok with it.“
“The check in was a tad chaotic, even with a reservation, but it was a Sunday morning after all. However the Carnegie overcame my initial skeptical impression by offering excellent service with vast portions of food for a fair price in an expensive city. I would definitely return in the future.“
“We were looking for an original diner in this area.We went in not sure the expert as going to be worth the price of seating for lunch in NYC.We were welcomed and served so professionally and nicely by Fernando & Luis much beyond our expectations. Food was fresh, served generously and with great care. The Cobb salad was judge and excellent (only missing some blue cheese to be perfect!), I finished it the day after.Dietary restrictions: Parler au chef cuisinier, très adaptable !“
“Always a good experience here the hosts always Greet you with a positive attitude and the service is always top notch. Prices are also very fair.Parking: Fair amount of parking entrance and exit are also easy to navigateKid-friendliness: Kid friendly food options and chairs“
“Est. 1995Layout/atmosphere*Orange painted walls/yellow painted windows; mostly booths; bar in back with coffee station, wine bottles & cakes (no seating); enclosed outdoor dining area in front of entrance on sidewalk; tables out on sidewalk on Bethune StService*SolidFood/drink*Sunny Side Eggs on Focaccia (two eggs, turkey, avocado & arugula) - good; solid bread, runny egg, crunch of the arugula*Blueberry muffin - really good; came out still warm; soft but still some texture in each bite; no add-ons needed“
“We have dined at both Brooklyn Diner locations for breakfast and dinner and both experiences were excellent. These locations have the classic diner feel which seems harder and harder to find these days. Most recently we were in for dinner, the spicy margaritas were a perfect start to a fun meal with Genina(?). We shared the Mexican burrito bowl and the burger for dinner and the bowl was outstanding. It felt like a home-cooked meal in the big city. Genina was attentive and welcoming from start to finish. The burger and fries were well executed. We will be back for the pot pie and the lasagna ASAP.“
“I lived in this neighborhood for almost 10 years without noticing it until recently! I have to let you know that I fell in love with this place after the first Brunch I had with them on Jan2,2023! And then a few times after that . It's the cutest little spot with amazing food. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts: the host made me feel welcomed. Even though they are very busy, everyone pay attention to your needs , always efficient and polite . delicious dishes: I enjoyed every single bite of the meal ! -Soup and pasta were so flavorful. -Best Buffalo wings I ever had -- so so crunchy outside, moist and tender inside AND BEST IF ALL , I am so grateful you put the sauce on the Side , so I can adjust the tangy and spicy taste depending on my preference -Cheeseburger grilled perfectly , so juicy and mouthwatering. -Waffle: mine was golden-brown in color, with a crispy outer texture and a soft interior. - grilled cheese sandwich : perfectly toasted slices stuffed with melting cheese ,It’s worth every single last crumb! and , extensive menu : breakfast, lunch and dinner menu , from comfort food to vegetarian options. They also offer wine , juices, coffee and tea So ,Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant , Highly recommend! I would definitely come back here again and again.“
“Bendix diner is like stepping back into time. It's nice to see an old school diner like this. Don't let it's facade fool you into thinking that the food is greasy or average. Quite the contrary, the quality of food is very good, the portions are of good size and the prices are reasonable. There are artisan hot sauces on each table and counter, the syrup is maple syrup only but with cool flavors like Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, habanero and others. Also the tea, they use premium tea leaves. All of that struck me as odd in a good way. The owner John and his son Michael are wonderful. They are attentive and provide good service. Their food is excellent. I had a turkey club there that rivaled 4 star hotel restaurants. It's truly a hidden gem“
“Tucked away old school diner.Had breakfast 4 times.Service was super nice on the first two days.On the other two days also nice but a bit taciturn...The food was delicious, fresh and the portion size was completely OK.Pancakes were super tasty, as were the omelettes.Price ok for Manhattan. For 4 people, expect to pay $75-80 with tip.“
“First impressions, we were greeted with a warm welcome the moment we walked in the door. The menu has so many options there is something for everyone. One great cup of coffee to start. Service with a smile from the owner to the wait staff. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming everyone is friends here and seems like there are no strangers here. Now let’s talk food. We chose from the breakfast menu and let me tell you right now WOW. We ate like kings and queens at little cost. We definitely did not walk away hungry. I am a grits fan and they came out perfect, not to wet and not to dry just right. So from the Wilson family we say thank you Seaport Diner for such a wonderful experience. If we are ever in the area again we will 100% be returning.“
“This place is a 10/10! I definitely recommend this restaurant. I come to New Jersey often to see family and they always told me about this diner. I finally decided to visit and am very happy with the result. The atmosphere is awesome and I see they have other locations that I plan to visit too!“
“Todays breakfast was enjoyed at The Golden Grill Restaurant in Teaneck, NJ. It's a cute breakfast nook tucked amongst a row stores and shops on a busy road in Teaneck, but the vibe is homey and comfortable. The staff is super down to earth and have this bustling little restaurant working like clockwork. The prices were great and the food was stick to your ribs good. We wound up ordering the following menu items: - chicken noodle soup - corned beef hash with eggs and grits - Smoked ham and eggs - hot chocolate“
“this place is an awesome burger time capsule. The burgers are made to order and fantastic Smashburger. Now this place is CASH ONLY and don’t be afraid to order when you want more, the cook has a great personality lol . If in the area check it out“
“This is a very good old school diner. I've been coming here for years. They are always courteous and the food is reliable. I was in the mood for grilled chicken with honey mustard on a roll. It wasn't on their menu as that but they were more than happy to make it for me. They have a number of daily specials and they are different all the time so you can be a regular without getting bored.“
“High number of Google reviews are justified. Loved this diner! Fajita omelette and banana pancakes were really good. Fortunately there was no waiting over the Easter weekend. Sit by the windows, and enjoy some good sunshine while having your brunch. Service was a bit slow as we had to remind about our orders thrice, but the staff was very pleasant to work with. Great place for brunch!“
“This diner's service is always great. I think there is so much to choose from it can be intimidating. When it was time to pay the check, I noticed their new pay system had already added a 15% tip to the bill. I think tipping should ALWAYS be the discretion of the patron. Because my server was great, I didn't have a problem paying the 15%. I wonder if her tip is shared. FYI, you can change the tip amount at the register, but ya'll need to pay attention.Food at this diner is always yummy. The staff is great and at my visit they were on top of everything. There is someone ready to clear your plate if you're done. Our server was attentive. Making sure if we needed anything else during our meal.Kid-friendliness: They have paper placemats for kids to doodle while waiting for their meal.“
“I have been visit this diner from a very young age. I love it here and will continue to eat here. One of my favorites is the “Big Mess” it consist of potatoes, onions, green peppers, meat of your choice, eggs all mixed up in one dish. I also like the salmon hash over egg whites or eggs of your choice with home fries, french fries or grits. The only thing I will say is the coffee can be a little stronger coffee, kinda taste like water, but in this recession that we are in, I don’t expect the coffee to be like Starbucks.Highly recommend this place.“
“This diner was nice and had a very old school atmosphere. It's not my type but if it is then a good place. Food was good but not as good as other diners I've been to. Overall would recommend going here for a more classic feeling diner.“
“Lovely, inconspicuous place on the edge of nyc chinatown. Seems to be mostly visited by locals. Only place we visited twice during our last week trip.Service was incredibly nice and helpful, food was great as well as coffee ??Unbelievably fluffy blueberry pancakes, worth-a-sin eggs&beacon waffle and perfect, classy breakfast burrito. My personal recommendation though? Peanut butter milkshake “
“Very pleasant diner experience, with good food and excellent service. Reasonable prices and all-day food items make this place an excellent option for dining in this area and a great value - There is something to eat for everyone.Vegetarian options: Lots of salads, cold items and pasta dishes. They also offer a veggie burger.“
“Great neighborhood spot with standard fare. Definitely a spot worth checking out for breakfast/brunch. They are currently renovating/expanding part of their dining area so ESPRESSO DRINKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I would call ahead to see if they're back on the menu if it's a deal breaker for you. Good variety of food and super quick service no matter how packed it may be. They are also fairly accommodating if you need to adjust/remove an item from a dish or two.“
“Glad l went, heard about this diner. Good prices, good portions .. great service.Nice staff, friendly and they have so many pictures of Legends on the wall.Highly recommendDietary restrictions: They will accommodateParking: Parking was availableKid-friendliness: They have a family vibeWheelchair accessibility: Ramp n easy parking“
“Went here after a show that ended at 10pm with family didn't know that they close at 11pm the staff were very receptive and accommadating no questions asked they served us and didn't rush us out. For this we are appreciative and will definitely be backWheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp accessible to the diner and room to move around inside“
“I'm rating this place based on their breakfast food. It was exactly what I expected and wanted. They were quick to seat and take our order. And the food was also quick and precise. I went on a sunday noon and it was completely packed. They are a small place that give a retro feel to it. And the ladies working it also give it a home-ish feel. I liked it! The omelets and pancakes were real good and i had no complaints. I guess the only slight dislike i had were the potatoes,as they were a bit burnt as you can see on the picture. Its nothing spectacular but they delivered and at a reasonable price as well! Overall really enjoyed it and would go back for some quick breakfast!“
“Tosti stands out as an excellent lunch spot, great for gatherings of friends and family alike. Their ability to accommodate diners with ease and efficiency makes every visit smooth and enjoyable. With meals served quickly, guests are spared long waits, perfect for lively groups. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere ensures an energetic dining experience, complemented by the staff’s friendly and welcoming attitude. Offering delicious food, rapid service, and a congenial setting, Tosti is a prime choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal with loved ones and friends.“
“I was there with a party of 15 on Sunday night (4/21/24) for my cousins birthday ! The service was phenomenal! Our server Sam was the BEST!!! He needs a raise! We even took a picture with Sam! Thank you so much! Yummy food, I had the turkey club with fries and a delicious vanilla milkshake and I had a bite of my cousins yummy pot pie she had ordered!“
“I recently visited this breakfast place and was thoroughly impressed by their delicious breakfast options and generous serving sizes. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the portion sizes were definitely satisfying. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot!“
“Union Street Cafe is an old school diner with an amazingly affordable menu of solid choices. CASH ONLY. Pancakes, egg sandwiches, burgers, turkey clubs, tuna melts, coffee, pastries all make the menu. It's a small place, mostly 4 top tables. Would be difficult to accommodate groups larger than that unless you came off peak. Ambiance is very casual and a little retro. Service was understandably a little frantic on a busy Saturday and very friendly. Staff is bilingual (Spanish).CASH ONLY.“
“If you are in need of a quick bite, but you don’t want to stop at the gas station I recommend coming here but just be prepared to have a bit of a weight if you’re gonna have something for takeout.Parking: There is also street parking if you cannot fit in the parking lot“
“I love when I see a tiny diner that seems out of place in NYC. Hector’s is still servicing simple, delicious breakfast.Delicious pancakes, but I wouldn’t spend extra to add blueberries. The pancakes had so few of them scattered around I almost forgot I ordered blueberry pancakes.“
“Meat loaf was very good. Turkey dinner very good. Large portions. Service ... very polite and friendly. Atmospere ... clean and tidy. Salads ... the good stuff, not iceberg, Try the starburst salad. Best diner around bar none. Trust me on this one.“
“I ordered a pull a part cupcake cake, number 9, Fortnite themed for my son's birthday. The entire experience was so easy from start to finish. From the convenient user-friendly website ordering system, payment system, and seamless correspondence with Polkadot Cake Shop, I knew I was working with a true pro. I sent a picture of what I envisioned and got exactly that and even better. I've never had any service where I have provided a picture and gotten the EXACT results! Just blown away. The ingredients of the cupcakes were top notch as well, tasted so good, my guests were commenting how it was the best cupcake frosting they have ever tasted. And the 'icing on the cake' was that we received a premium custom-made cake at a reasonable price! I will definitely be using Polkadot Cake Shop for future events, thanks for making my son's birthday a memorable one!“
