We adore Garlic Old Bay Shrimp appetizers, fried calamari, crab cakes, BUTTERY lobster rolls, OMG!. For our entrées, we couldn't resist going all in! Seafood Linguine in Garlic Sauce, steamed clams, mussels, grilled salmon, and lobster tails with crabmeat stuffing (seasonal). If you don't see something on the menu that piques your interest, just ask your server if they can prepare it for you. “Don’t sleep on this restaurant on Bloomfield Ave. The space is notoriously awkward and the storefront is not that appealing from the outside but this is some of the best food in town. Roasted mushroom appetizer was some of the best I’ve had. For two people, order a pasta and a pizza (both to share) and it’s great meal. Tonight we had the shrimp and spaghetti and the sausage pizza, both delicious. Been here 4 times this year and it’s consistently good food.”

The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. The owner, Jessica Troupe, has poured her heart and soul into this cafe, and it shows. It is one of the best coffee shop in the area.”

“We enjoyed a gorgeous dinner at La Rocca Osteria, on the corner of Midland Avenue and Portland Place (a block south-east of Valley Road and a block north-east of Bloomfield Avenue), this week. The food was brilliant - fresh, flavorful and great portion sizes. I was thrilled with my choices of the buratta salad, crabmeat-stuffed lobster tail with mashed potatoes and a chocolate mousse cake. My fella demolished the mussels and clams in a white wine and garlic sauce, lasagne (he thought it was so delicious that he even bought a second portion to give to his dad) and cheesecake. I almost wish I’d taken photographs, but I was more interested in the experience than documenting it. The service was fantastic as well - friendly, calm, organized and reliable. Parking nearby wasn’t difficult either. It’s the second time we’ve eaten there; the first was on our first date. It was just as lovely then too.”

It was all the music I grew up listening to as a kid, and it made me feel at home. McKenzie was our server and she was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. The menu has so many great choices, but the specials shouldn't be slept on either! Here's what we had: Appetizers: -Brussels sprouts salad with sliced apple, marinated feta, roasted squash, candied pecans, quinoa and tossed in a vinaigrette - Kabocha squash ravioli in a braised beef and peanut ragu, crispy eggplant and a peanut-green bean crumble. Entrées: -Flat iron steak in a mustard-sherry au poive sauce, carmelized onions, and potato churritos -Fresh cavatelli in an escargot sauce, shelled escargot, topped with a parsley butter crumb - Side of sautéed wild mushrooms with sage and citrus Dessert: -Orange and cardamom olive oil cake, assorted coffee and tea. The food was stunning. Every bite was a hit and truly made with love. Such thoughtful flavor combinations and interesting applications, all the while cooked perfectly. We had the opportunity to speak with Beverly, and we learned so much about her passions for the industry and the pride she has for the products she creates. We will certainly be back again and again!”

It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.”

We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). I wish they were closer to us, Old Bridge could definitely use a really good burger place.”

I was expecting maybe some folklore something Peruvian. I asked the waitress to please lower the volume and she did but only a bit. I thanked her and at least we were able to conversarte. I asked for a big bottle Inca kola be side I saw they had some but I was told they can only serve small cans to the table. I think the place should offer the big bottles be side I had to arder like six cans and it’s bad for the environment.
None of these things are the waitresses fault. These are the owners rules.

Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.”

The atmosphere is cozy and warm and their coffee robust. We selected breakfast options of a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese and the zucchini parmesan frittata. Both came with a choice of toast and roasted potatoes. Both were fresh and savory and the potatoes roasted perfectly. Staff was friendly and prices were moderate and fair. Bluestone is a very good choice for breakfast and lunch.”

Augustine greets you when you arrive and you are seated in their lovely dining room. This Montclair BYO restaurant provides the perfect place to gather with family and friends. Service is prompt and attentive and the menu is varied with something for even your more finicky eaters. You will not be disappointed by both the familiar Italian standards and the creative specials. We recently hosted a holiday party for 24 and the group is still talking about the event. Pappardelle provide choice of packages at different prices for groups . We chose a package which began with family style appetizers followed by pasta and salad courses and then a choice of several main dishes with dessert and coffee. We were not rushed and enjoyed our evening. Thank you to Augustine and his staff for creating a memorable event for our group.”

Flavor was very authentic Middle Eastern in both the shawarma and pickles. I also had their fattoush which was very good. 2 people can easily be served from both the shawarma and fattoush! “We arrived at the restaurant and they proceeded a seat us next to a table of family with toddler children. The entire restaurant was still empty. We all felt that was a little bit weird. Anyone that arrives with children should have great service, but maybe they should put them in a more secluded area. Most of the food was rated pretty good except for the sushi tuna roll which had a lot of fatty grizzle in it. And that was very unusual cuz I've never had that in a spicy tuna roll before. I don't know if I would order any of the rolls. We stayed mostly with the appetizers which were very filling. Definitely will try it again. The tuna Pizza was exceptional.”

“Everything is so amazing and fresh here! I loved the tofu mushroom soup, it was so delicious and everything was so fresh! Their fish cuts are always so delicious and flavorful. The owner and staff are incredibly kind as well. Definitely an awesome place!”

“We arrived at the restaurant and they proceeded a seat us next to a table of family with toddler children. The entire restaurant was still empty. We all felt that was a little bit weird. Anyone that arrives with children should have great service, but maybe they should put them in a more secluded area. Most of the food was rated pretty good except for the sushi tuna roll which had a lot of fatty grizzle in it. And that was very unusual cuz I've never had that in a spicy tuna roll before. I don't know if I would order any of the rolls. We stayed mostly with the appetizers which were very filling. Definitely will try it again. The tuna Pizza was exceptional.”

“Juice House is such a staple, that I go there at least 2-3 times per week. Super healthy and lots of delicious options, perfect to refuel after a workout. The menu has tons of options from smoothies, to bowls, and various fresh juices and everything I’ve tried has been great. Highly recommend, especially the Ellie smoothie!! Service is also very quick and efficient, making it more appealing.”

“Had an excellent dinner at Paper Lantern of Montclair. The short ribs were excellent for an appetizer, delicious sauce. Wonton soup and dumplings were perfect and the sesame chicken and spicy Szechuan chicken were also wonderful. All of the staff were nice and the restaurant is cute inside.”

A really reliable tasty lunch with great value for your money. I love the shrimp and fish burritos, which is a sentence I never thought I’d say. The chips and guac are super fresh if you want a cheeky treat.”
