“If you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of substandard pav bhaji and vada pav at every Indian restaurant, then behold - this is the greatest pav bhaji you’ll find in the state.First up - they have the pav that is the closest to what you can get in Maharashtra. Soft and flatter - none of the buffed up nonsense being served up everywhere else.The bhaji itself is excellent and buttery.I’m going to have dreams about this dinner!Highly recommend trying out the gulab jamun as well. It’s made fresh and served hot! Excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed.”

The coffee is good with coffee-adjacent drinks with fun names. I have never seen the place empty or slow.There are a handful of pastries (croissant, pecan roll, ham and cheese croissant, everything bagel twist, etc.) to accompany the beverages. I was told the pastries come from Le French Dad Boulangerie, so if you like their baked goods, you’ll be pleased.If you’re prone to migraines or if you’re looking for a semi-quiet place to work or have a chat, this is not the place for you. If you want to show friends or visitors a unique place with good coffee, this does the job.”

“This place is, with out a doubt, the best Acai/Chia pudding place I have ever been to. On top of that, the chia pudding recipe tis shop is using is something distinctly different from other chia pudding I've had. It's blue, and tastes far more awesome than normal chia pudding.I accidentally discovered this little shop while visiting a friend near Montclair. I live in NYC - caught a train to Montclair Bay St station, and wandered up the block from there looking for some treats to share with friends.Jackpot.I don't live near Montclair, and this location is not convenient to me. However, I now go out of my way to visit this shop whenever I'm passing through the nearby train line.Worth it.If you (please) bring boomchia to downtown Brooklyn, I would eat there everyday. As it stands I'll have to settle for once a week.”

We both shared a caesar salad, it was delicious. My wife ordered pasta with sausage. That too was delicious, I had the pasta with cherry tomatoes and crab meat, absolutely delicious. When our order came, we immediately got fresh pepper and before I could even ask for fresh cheese, a gentleman was waiting behind me with the cheese. “Ladies and gentlemen this is one of the best cafes in and around clifton-paterson- garfield area where you can grab a very flavorful coffee and enjoy a little studying time. The cafe has plenty of seats for everyone and plenty of outlets. Mario and jason are both great baristas and are phenomenal with the customers. I definitely come here often and study and enjoy the environment and vibes of cafe. It can get a little hectic and loud when there are inconsiderate people around but all in all one of my fav cafes. They always have new drinks and the baristas are very creative. Well done!”

“My friend and I went on a weeknight and it was very busy! I haven't had Thai in years and was not impressed at that time. This restaurant quickly turned all of that around! The Crispy Duck salad was phenomenal and so was the Thai curry chicken dish that I ordered. Beautiful ambience and great attentive service. We sent our compliments to the chef as every thing we ate was absolutely delicious. I haven't been excited to go back to a restaurant in a long time and I would definitely recommend to everyone!!!”

“I have been to De Novo several times. Each visit is more delightful than the last. It begins as soon as you enter the room. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. He suggested a few meals for us but we ultimately chose the Omakase which came with a 5 course meal.We started with Salmon Crudo which was served over a Furikaki Cracker and Crema. The cracker was SOOOO GOOD and the crema was great!The Calamri Fritti packed a ton of flavor and had a slight but subtle spiciness to it.Next we were served the Ramen Shrimp Scampi. It was very delicious and had a sweet note to it. A little on the saltier side for me but would still rate this dish a 9/10!My absolute favorite part of the Omakase was the Black Cod which was cooked to perfection! The Miso had the perfect balance between creaminess, salt and a little sweetness. The Cod literally flaked right off and couldn’t have been cooked better!!!Our last dish was the Zeppoles with a chocolate dipping sauce. The Zeppoles had a crunchy exterior and a very soft and spongy but light inside. It was a delightful dessert.Overall I would 10/10 recommend.”

“I am glad I saw their delivery van when I was driving by. I did a Uturn and hoped I stumbled on a yummy bakery. This place is gem. Small space for dining in so I decided to order a cappuccino and almond croissant to go and drive to a nearby park. I also got a container of their poppyseed hamantaschen cookies. Everything was top notch and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. First authentic croissant I have had in recent memory. I really appreciate that the baked goods were flavorful and not sugary. Perfect.”

“This location always has fast service and friendly staff. They also have a drive thru. Their food is always hot and fresh. If you are looking for genuine Chinese food this is probably not the place especially because there are tons of other places in the area. But it is a good value for the portion sizes and still pretty tasty. I tried their limited time hot chicken and was disappointed. For "fast food" there are some real healthy options on the menu like the beef and broccoli.”

The lamb meat was GOOD but I got some nasty hard pieces. But, after getting rid of the pieces the gyros were great STUFFED with fries and I Loved it! I would 100% go back but i would personally try the chicken instead. The spanakopita was great and enough to share between two!”

You walk in and aside from the squad of friendly workers at both main counters you'll first encounter the amazing breads (and treats). All the shapes, styles and sizes your carb-loving heart desires will be found on one of these racks. Expertly made... dense, sturdy, flavorful, with a mighty crust (that'll give your Fixodent a workout!). Take a few steps towards the 'back' and now you're at the deli and it's overflowing with options. Each item looks bewitching and alluring and before you can even finish saying, "A pound of..." - somehow it's already sliced and bagged and the guy is waiting on the next item you need. (Maybe it's that luscious square of eggplant parm that they've intentionally left "posed" on top of the spatula or the Italian hot dog platter or that mountain of sauteed broccoli rabe that you know it's going to have that perfect 'bite'.) And as soon as you get home you immediately start crafting what's to be a most perfect sandwich with their seeded semolina, fresh ball of mootz (so creamy and delectable), and a few other odds-and-ends you snagged. Thank goodness this town is big enough for more than one amazing Italian deli and I don't have to pick which is my all-time fave.”

“Our son recommended Palato’s and for once the kid steered his old man right! Haha. Our waitress was warm, friendly and most helpful with the menu. The owner stopped by our table a few times to check on us and was a very gracious host. Food was nothing short of spectacular from appetizers to entrees to gelato! We went with another couple and we each drove over 30 minutes to get there. Well worth the trip! We can’t recommend Palato Cafe any higher! Don’t miss it!”

Nothing here is lacking in flavor and the cocktails are outstanding. Came here with a few girlfriends and we had a pleasant time. The atmosphere would lend itself to a beautiful date night location. There is a private venue upstairs if you'd like to host an event there and is conveniently connected to Egan and Sons if you wanted to have a relaxed drink after an upscale dinner. If you park in the lot in the back, at Egans, you can walk straight through to Halcyon. Make a res of you're going on a peak night. Can't wait to go back.”

My server had me scan a code for a review of his service but i lost it. I believe his name was Manuel (my apologies if i may be wrong). I was there on Tuesday about 5pm party of 1 my total was $68. I had the Mary Mar with roasted potatoes along with sangria if that helps you figure out the server. He deserves special mention for exceptional service. From my dining experience i tend to remember the level of service before i remember the meal. Servers set the tone and create the dining experience from beginning to end. It's imperative they are well trained and understand the importance of the role they play for the restaurant. The food is outstanding in taste and presentation. The atmosphere is relaxing and the place is well decorated. Thank you for the perfect dining experience.”

“My friend and I went on a weeknight and it was very busy! I haven't had Thai in years and was not impressed at that time. This restaurant quickly turned all of that around! The Crispy Duck salad was phenomenal and so was the Thai curry chicken dish that I ordered. Beautiful ambience and great attentive service. We sent our compliments to the chef as every thing we ate was absolutely delicious. I haven't been excited to go back to a restaurant in a long time and I would definitely recommend to everyone!!!”

“Depending on your style and needs, this could be the right place for you. The aesthetic is super fun with seating like airplane seats, bright lights, and really loud music. The coffee is good with coffee-adjacent drinks with fun names. I have never seen the place empty or slow.There are a handful of pastries (croissant, pecan roll, ham and cheese croissant, everything bagel twist, etc.) to accompany the beverages. I was told the pastries come from Le French Dad Boulangerie, so if you like their baked goods, you’ll be pleased.If you’re prone to migraines or if you’re looking for a semi-quiet place to work or have a chat, this is not the place for you. If you want to show friends or visitors a unique place with good coffee, this does the job.”

“I’ve been here twice, once with a late party and a party of 6 and both times we had incredible service and the food is delicious. Even the basics are incredible. No children’s menus so if your kids are picky then make sure to look at the selections. We had the chicken cutlet (served with a garlic parsley oil if you like), meatballs, margherita pizza, carbonara pizza. The carbonara pizza is to die for. Excellent marinara sauce and meatballs. Get the bread basket to soak up the sauce!”
