“*apologies in advance for the poor quality photos - the lighting wasn't conducive to capturing how brilliant and beautiful these dishes were. I was a bit hesitant going in as there were a few mixed reviews, and of course paying $145 pp, you want to be blown away. I had recently watched the Chef's Table episode on Dan Barber and was intrigued on the vegetable focus, farm to table tasting menu at Family Meal. Also, with the daily menu change you simply do not know what you'll be served. 2 hours later - I was blown away and amazed with the entire meal. The veggies served were unlike any veggies I have tasted before. The entire meal from start to finish was enjoyable. In addition, I was surprised how much fish and meat was served (for those worried about the lack of protein). Highly highly recommend this place. Well deserved Michelin Star, and of course the service matches that distinction. Honestly surprised this place isn't as hyped as it is.“
“This restaurant is fantastic. I can't believe anyone would rate this place anything less than five stars. I have traveled all over the world and have yet to find a vegan/vegetarian restaurant I have enjoyed more than this place. My wife and I chose to sit at the counter top, overlooking the kitchen. It was enjoyable watching the chefs meticulously prepare each dish. Every course brought to us was thoroughly explained by staff. Every course tasted better than the previous course. The interior also had low lighting, which set off a romantic vibe. I highly recommend bringing your spouse to this place.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu - Vegan upon requestDietary restrictions: Vegetarian menu - Vegan on request“
“So glad there are multiple locations around the city. Los Tacos delivers the flavor and speed required to serve NYC. The steak taco was good but the chicken was even better! Size fits the purpose and they are filling. Three work pretty well. This location inside of Chelsea market lacks seating options so you have to travel down the corridor to relax. Otherwise get in line and take the plunge, prices start at around $5 per taco. Free limes on deck!“
“After hearing about Keens was a must try it night. Got there at 4ish and was seated immediately. Had the oysters Rockefeller which were very good. Caesar salad fresh but a bit too much dressing followed by an outstanding porter house which was cooked perfectly medium rare, accompanied by a nice baked potato. Dessert was the crème brûlée delicious. Our waiter Milton was very good and service excellent. Everyone in the restaurant were very friendly. Definitely will return but would probably recommend reservations, we went early but by 6pm pretty full.“
“Peter Luger is one of my Top 5 favorite restaurants since I started dining there in 2022. Amazing service as always. From the time of our arrival, Alan greeted us at the desk and made sure we were seated right away. Marian was our host and did not disappoint. He was able to make sure that our orders were take care of right away.Everything from the Tomatoes and Onion, to the bacon was very enjoyable especially with the sauce they brought out. We ordered a Porterhouse for 3 (Medium Rare) with German Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. All I can say is perfection. I enjoyed dinner more last night than the two times I was previously here. Thank you so much Marian and Alan for making our night at Peter Luger a night to remember.“
“Had been hearing about here for a long time and even put my name down a couple of times but the wait was so long so I finally got to try it out and it didn’t disappoint at all. The pizza was so good and one of the best thin crusted pizzas in NYC for sure. We had the arugula and Caesar salad too and they were good. In the end we had the bread pudding desert and that was average in our opinion. The pizza we got were the ones in the picture. Tie dye was my favorite.“
“It is easy to see why this place is on the Michelin radar! The service was well above average (new dinnerware between courses, dish descriptions upon delivery, very attentive). The food was incredible. Our server recommended four courses for two of us and that was perfect—we ended up pleasantly full but not stuffed. We tried two toasts (artichoke pictured left, roasted beet right); the tamal, which had the tenderest jackfruit I’ve ever tasted; and the risotto with seasonal mushrooms, which had us oohing and ahhing at every bite. We had the first reservation of the evening at 5 pm and enjoyed a lovely quiet meal. The seating is tight and it was filling up by the time we finished, so if you’re prone to sensory overload an early time might be the move!Vegetarian options: Menu is fully plant-based/vegan“
“We've been getting pastries from Veniero's for more than 50 years. Everything is consistently fresh, and the quality is high. I love the huge variety of smaller pastries with whipped cream, custard, cannoli filling, fruit, and chocolate chips. I have a lot of nostalgia for Veniero's and am delighted it's still around, and the products are as good as ever.“
“This was our third time dining at Blue Ribbon Sushi and the place never disappoints ! The food is always extremely fresh and perfectly prepared and the service is outstanding. The servers have an excellent knowledge of the menu and consistently give great recommendations of what to order. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Great spot for temaki. You can mix and match your order. I mixed some of the classic with the toro and red crab. The scallop one was particularly delicious. We started with the spicy tuna dip which was also great. Tried the nami nori salad, interesting flavors, wasn’t my favorite but definitely something different to try that you won’t find on another menu. Awesome lunch spot!“
“We held a private party at Casa Ora and had a wonderful time. Food was delicious, cocktails amazing, restaurant beautiful and service impeccable. I highly recommend it as a venue. Special shout out to Gonzi (private event host) who was attentive to all our needs during planning and on the night of the party.“
“A hidden gem in the east village. Food is experimental and delicious to eat. The Hawaiian Asian fusion food is very unique and rare to find in the city. The gluten-free fried chicken is a must go for anyone who has dietary restrictions. It is crispy, juicy and delicious.Szechuan Bolognese is quite an interesting combination of Chinese and Italian cuisine.Heritage pork chop is a very delicious too.Not to mention the dessert!! The brûlée Hawaiian pineapple and the Chocolate Haupia Sundae are too good to miss!I love the intimate environment. Small space without too much pretentious. The service is superb. You can tell the staff generally care about if their customers have a good time there. Very spontaneous, very friendly and very observable. Will come back again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free fried chicken“
“This place is AMAZINGGGGGG ! It’s right around the corner from my job. EVERYTIME I have enter it’s always an amazing experience. Barbra is soooo sweet and amazing, soon as I entered I am greeted by her amazing smile and wonderful energy. I hope and wish this establishment gets more acknowledgment and presence on social “
“I ate here with my family earlier today as a pre-dinner snack. We were hungry and needed something small, quick, and sweet that would hold us off until dinner. Admittedly, I am not much of a pie person and usually decline pies when I am offered. However, these pies were absolutely amazing. I shared the double chocolate pecan pie with ice cream with my mother (highly recommend), and my father and sister shared the signature pie which was a fruit pie. The pies were about $7 a piece and we also ordered two teas for I think $3 a piece (I may be a few dollars off). Anyways, it was an overall lovely treat. The inside is 60s diner themed and the workers were so sweet. Our server kept on checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and best of all, he shared some very cringey (but still funny) dad jokes. Unfortunately, I don't live in NYC and will not be able to eat here as often as I would like to, but I fully recommend this place to anyone that has the opportunity to eat here.“
“Levain Bakery offers an exceptional selection of artisanal bread and pastries. Their signature item, the chocolate chip walnut cookie, is a must-try, boasting a perfect balance of gooey chocolate, crunchy walnuts, and a soft, chewy center. Their bread selection is equally impressive, with options ranging from rustic sourdough to fragrant cinnamon raisin swirl. While prices may be higher than average, the quality and taste make it worth the indulgence. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall experience, making Levain Bakery a delightful destination for any pastry enthusiast.“
“I ran into Steph at one of her pop-ups and fell in love with her macarons. Not only are they adorable, but they are DELICIOUS!! I reached out to her for a custom order for my bridal shower favors and they came out so perfect. Everyone was raving about them! Steph was very responsive via email and helped to create an order that fit within the budget I specified. I can't wait to order from her again!“
“Got here early and got a spot for dinner! Ordered the Vegan Wild Honey, the Better Off Veg, and Mo Cheeks. All of the pizzas were delicious! Loved the flavor combinations. Friendly service. Something to note is that it’s kind of loud (bar type atmosphere) which was not bad but something to keep in mind.“
“Ooooof. Amazing!! Incredible!! A must try!! Came for my birthday while in NYC and we weren't disappointed! Everything we had was incredible!! The service was impeccable. The atmosphere is perfectly classy. I can't wait to go back!!!!“
“Overall rating: 4.4I was very excited to try Egyptian when I found this place on Google. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I know I was hoping for unique food. I was a bit surprised when I went it was mostly a variation of halaal. I also didn’t realize the place was mostly vegetarian and think its description should be updated.I think I got the basic halal with beet and another sauce. The sauce was reallly good!! I would go back for the beet sauce. But the food ended up being a side to my beet sauce. The staff seemed very friendly but it was so bright. Wish they could lower it just a tad. If you’re a vegetarian, I think you’re going to like this place a tad more.“
“A great place to stop while walking around Manhattan.Their bakery products are great.Their marzipan filled almond croissant and chocolate rugelach my favorite. One thing that maybe overlooked is the coffee. They offer great coffee. Perfect combination with their baked offerings. It's my go to when when walking Manhattan.“
“Hidden gem in Brooklyn Heights. We loved coming here for the food and the service. Jamel has always been very warm and made us feel welcome every time we came in. The soup is 10/10 and was a personal favorite, but we loved everything we ate here!“
“Ordered the Philly cheesesteak with a gluten free bun and lentil pancake and I was blown away. Almost tastes as good as the real thing. Definitely will be coming back and being my friends ! The Philly was flavorful, bread was fresh and warm.“
“Per Se graces the bustling streets of Manhattan, New York, with its culinary prowess. Led by the renowned Thomas Keller, this three Michelin star restaurant delivers an unparalleled dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step through the doors, you are enveloped in a world of sophistication and refinement. The service is impeccable, ensuring every need is met with grace and precision. And the wine pairings? Simply perfect, elevating each dish to new heights.Among the many highlights of the evening, the cheese signature dish, Oysters and Pearls, steals the show with its harmonious blend of flavors and textures. It's a true testament to the culinary genius at work in the Per Se kitchen. But what truly sets Per Se apart is its attention to detail and commitment to exceeding expectations. The thoughtful gesture of a Goodybag filled with delectable pastries for our young companion was a delightful surprise that added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. While dining at Per Se may require a significant investment, every dime is justified by the unforgettable memories created and the unparalleled quality of the cuisine. For those seeking a gastronomic adventure like no other, Per Se is an absolute must-visit destination in the heart of Manhattan.“
“This was not my first time there. The food was a bit cold, and the taste I came back for was just not the same. Cornbread was delicious and pinto beans on point. I hate all the reserve tables empty, and people are aimlessly looking g dor seats with food in hand.“
“Fantastic date spot in West Village. Cozy interior and options for outdoor seating. Authentic French cuisine and vibes. Loved the cocktails and service was friendly and quick. Went here for brunch before a jazz show nearby. Highly recommend.“
“Happened upon Figo on our walk around looking for a sweet treat. My friend has a gluten allergy, so finding a sweet treat that is celiac safe is not always easy. Justin was sooo kind to help us out, he really heard our concerns and made sure to offer my friend a safe to go gelato container. She said is was so tasty. I had the lemon and strawberry, which were both amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful! Would highly reccomend!“
“Lovely spot, came for brunch on my birthday. Same great food and great service as always, but I was surprised to find the Yemenite Pancake renamed (which is the best thing on the menu).I always thought they were cool for putting aside differences and shouting out their southern neighbors… I mean, Yemenis food is delicious.“
“December 2023My friend and I back here again for great wine. We were waiting for next door to available, so we decided to hang out here first. I Could eat here at I saw they have lots of nice menu but my best friend who is super crazy about food demanded to go to the next place so I'm very easy person just go with it. Service is always nice and professional. With out my friend I will come back to try great food next time.2019Il Buco is next to the restaurant that my friend and I went to have a dinner. Looks from the outside this place is very attractive then we stepped in and we spent time in il buco for couple hours, lol. We had several drinks, met some interesting people, had a nice conversation and enjoyed my evening so much. We didn't eat there but from what we talked to another people, they all say food here is very delicious and I will definitely try to eat here next time:) nice drinks and nice interior!“
“Dante is an NYC classic, I love coming here. Amazing vibes, playlist, food, and service. It's great for a date, great for dinner with the girlies, great to bring your parents, just a great spot in general that works for everything. Did my bday dinner here for a big group recently, and the staff (special shoutout to Rebecca for all her behind the scenes planning help!) could not have been more accommodating or easy to work with to plan a prix fixe menu and during the dinner itself. This is a place I keep coming back to and would recommend to anyone - truly such a great spot that embodies everything that I love about NYC.Dietary restrictions: They were super accommodating for my friends with dietary (celiac + shellfish allergies) restrictions! Lots of really solid menu options and some things can be made GF as well.“
“Came here for a birthday. Very friendly staff and great decor.Started off with some Brussel sprouts, calamari, it was all pretty good. Brussel sprouts slightly overcooked but not too bad. Calamari is great esp the green color sauce.Had a burger, very good! My fellow diners got pasta - they said it was mid but they still enjoyed it.Overall a great please. One slight bother was the $8 for bottled water. Not sure is tap water is an option but seeing $16 charged for water was not pleasant and a surprise.Additionally, more non pork options would be great.“
“I happened to be in Greenpoint on a weekday morning so I decided to add Radio Bakery to my list of places to stop by. There was no line, so I was in and out. There are a few counter seats by the window and some tables on the sidewalk outside for those who want to eat at the bakery. I was hoping to get their chocolate PB croissant, but they didn't have them that morning, so I ended up getting the double baked pistachio croissant and the earl grey morning bun. The pistachio croissant was very good - super flaky and crispy on the outside and not too sweet. I liked the whole pieces of pistachio on top. The early grey morning bun was also solid, and I really liked how strong the early grey flavor was. Overall this bakery is great, but I knocked off a star because this place is pricey, even for NYC ($8 for a croissant!). I also don't think it's worth waiting in line for on the weekends, so I'm glad I got to go during the weekday.“
“This cake was an absolute masterpiece!! All three tiers were a different flavor, one even better than the next….my personal favorite was the coconut cake. Planning a wedding is so overwhelming and there are so many decisions to be made. Polkadot Cake Shop was well organized, quick to respond and so easy to work with. Also loved being able to support a business local to me. Thank you so much!!!“
“A classic bagel shop in NYC. Throught its use of first-class ingredients and super-fast service, Russ & Daughters quickly became my go-to shop to grab lunch on the go. There's lots of different types of cream cheese + assorted smoked fish, etc. The chocolate babka was absolutely delicious too!“
“I was so tired so I grabbed the first thing I saw that looked familiar instead of reading the menu or checking out comments. It was beyond burger, which was delicious. After I ordered I saw crab cakes that looked yum, I wish I tried those too. They also had a bunch of desserts that looked good, but I can't eat that much at once. So if I'm ever back in New York I'm definitely coming there again. Service is really good, nice people working there, order ready fast! I definitely recommend this place.“
“Had a little hiccup with the computer putting in our order. Something I don’t think happens often, so the wait for food was long, but the waiter made up for it with a great personality and giving us coffee and hash browns. Food was great, really enjoyed a weekday “
“We returned to New York after 2 years and obviously returned to Il Punto, discovered by chance last time.I confirm the impression I had the first time, the food here is truly Italian, in flavours, quality and quantity! The welcome of Antonio, the owner, really deserves a separate chapter. He and his staff created the family environment that remains in the heart.“
“Had a very enjoyable dinner here on a Monday night. We weren’t rushed at all and our waitress was really sweet. I loved the lotus flower salad and the steamed gyozas were really great - I would never have usually ordered these two dishes so I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was fresh and the sashimi also had good flavor. Finally the vanilla mochi ice cream melted in my mouth! Such a treat and all for a very reasonable price when sharing dishes.“
“I absolutely love the coffee, however, everytime I come to this establishment, I am charged differently for the same drink. I am not to certain as to why. I expressed this with some of the staff here at Hamlet, who then empathized with me, but I guess did not relay the message. I am starting to believe that specific staff members are making up prices. I am not too happy about this. I truly enjoy the coffee, however the fluctuations of the pricing will be their downfall if it persists.“
“3.5 stars. As a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, these are definitely overhyped. Not bad, but mostly good because they’re warm. Once they cool down, the outside gets stale, and the flavor is average. I prefer more of a thin style with high-quality butter & sea salt ? “
“I got an assortment of gourmet cookies for a party and they were a hit!! The oreo cookies, red velvet and crème brulé was amazing and everyone who tried them kept asking where I got them from. I look forward to trying the other pastries ?“
“My go-to coffeeshop in the neighborhood! I love swinging by here on my way to work, coffee in hand on the subway, station just around the corner. I'm usually a simple cold brew person, but their blended drinks and lattes are both excellent, while boasting a variety of flavors usually hard to find (sorrel and soursop).“
“The true essence of a neighborhood gem - quaint & cozy! Will have you coming back again and again once you have a taste of their food (BEST BURGER in the area hands down!) that brings complete joy and comfort, wonderful wine selection, and DO NOT SKIP DESSERT...or underestimate the salads. The date pudding is not one to miss- also a goodie to stop in just for dessert & wine/coffee.Service & hospitality that is on point and makes you feel at home.Great date night or catching up with a good friend for hours.Ed's Elbow room next door is also superb and a spot you'll end up chatting with whomever is next to you and marking a new neighborhood friend!“
“There are other locations, but this location gives the best NYC experience with its cozy seating and patio. The espresso drinks are excellent and the pastries, too! The folks behind the counter were kind and patient. Well worth the walk from the subway.“
“I recently celebrated my birthday at Vic’s with a group of friends, and it was an absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the ARANCINI, which were fried to perfection and surprisingly light, with a delightful balance of lemon and fontina cheese. The VODKA pizza was special, featuring unique toppings like guanciale and marjoram that perfectly complemented the gooey fontina cheese. The MAFALDINE pasta was a revelation, with its inventive combination of pistachio, chive, and bread crumbs creating a symphony of flavors and textures unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. And of course, the CHITARRA pasta with lobster and spicy tomato sauce was fresh and indulgent. To top it all off, the TIRAMISU dessert was the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend Vic’s for any special occasion or simply for a delicious meal with friends. Be sure to make a reservation, as this gem fills up quickly!“
“I enjoyed the food and ambiance of this restaurant. The interior is decorated so cutely. It has very playful decor and was a great brunch spot. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was quite empty. We were seated immediately. The food was tasty and had unique touches! I was a big fan of the Rosewater Waffle - I could definitely taste the rose flavor coming through, which was super fragrant. I also liked the yogurt topping. It provided a savory touch to balance out the sweetness of the dish. The Madame Freda was also delicious. The sandwich was steaming, covered in cheese and a soft egg. The prosciutto flavor was super clear, perfectly savory and a good pairing with the rest of the sandwich. The service was super quick. The waiters observed my dishes and brought me pairing sauces without me even asking, which was impressive. I will say that because the restaurant was not too busy, there were a lot of waiters standing around and talking and even singing. It was entertaining. I enjoyed the food and ambiance of this restaurant. I've never seen these dishes anywhere else, and it made for a lovely brunch.“
“Solid vegetarian menu. Very generous portions for a tasting menu. Some things like the lettuce wrap salad with pineapple were fantastic, but others like the fried tofu & sweet potato noodles didn't do it for me. Would go back for the a la carte. Very inventive though, four stars for service, atmosphere, and creativity.“
“We came to this restaurant because of a subway ad, there were mega ribs coming out in the photo... what caught our eye.The ribs were not the same as advertised, they looked smaller but they were very good. The spectacular cake. The truth is that everything was very good. The waitress who served us didn't speak much Spanish, but the others did, but she served us wonderfully. It was the only restaurant where we were told that we didn't need to leave a tip because they get paid well there. They left her because of the good attention they received. The restaurant teacher, who spoke Spanish, helped us with our doubts and came to greet us and chat with us.The establishment is very cool and original. We will be back for sure.“
“We shared that my surprise on Valentine’s Day was from Patisserie Chanson and we enjoyed it so much. Hence, we decided to give their brunch menu a try.We were still appealed by their pastries when we walked in even though we knew it wasn’t our favorite kind. However, the quality is stable with reasonable price. We used their app to get dine-in orders since there are food photos for reference and we were able to check their daily promotions. We shared Market Salad, Creme Brûlée French Toast, Hot Lobster Roll and Merguez Migas. It was overall decent with reasonable price & portion.“
“Went here on a Sunday morning (8am) and it was not very busy. However, they have about 20 employees standing shoulder-to-shoulder so I'm guessing it does get busy at other times. We ordered bagels with cream cheese and bagels with egg/cheese and everything was great. We had ample cream cheese (more than I would put on at home) and the wait was not very long. I thought everything tasted great.“
“El Fenix is a welcome addition to Bergenline. First thought when I walked in was how clean the shop was. It had an assortment of cuban desserts perfectly aligned. I got a bunch of stuff and enjoyed all of them. They also have sandwiches but didn’t get them this time. Will be back.“
