“I had the corn in a cup and the chicken platter. The corn in a cup was delicious, the chicken platter with white sauce was also really good, however I asked for hot sauce and they didn't put it on top also the chicken could use more flavor , it was pretty much flavorless chicken. I’d be back to get the roasted corn on the cob, it seems like that’s what everyone was mainly getting. Like if this was helpfulPlease Subscribe to my youtube : Safiya Lin“

New Jersey Beer Company Brewery • $
4201 Tonnelle Ave, North Bergen

“NJBC has been in the craft brewing industry since 2010 and, over their long existence, have created some of our favorite NJ beers. While they have always excelled in the IPA lines ranging from traditional to hazies and milkshakes, I think the stout and porter lineups are even stronger offerings. As a fan of strong, dark, and generally more complex beers, NJBC really hit a home run with their "Cups of Peanut Butter and Chocolate" porter. But you won't go wrong with anything on the board. One of, if not the most popular beers they make is the "Blood Orange LBIPA." This would be your must try beer if you've never experienced it.“

I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“

“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! “After having enjoyed Bersi's eye-poppingly large platters that feed 3-4 people for $20-60 in total, not even Ras's lunch special ($18 bowls) seemed like a good deal. I did prefer the collard greens at Ras over Bersi's though. (Too bad I didn't try the injera at Ras for a comparison.) All that said, I did enjoy the Bole Bowl: the crunchy soy crumbles were a fun textural element, and the avocado injected creaminess into the mix. FYI, they have a couple of beverages with honey: honey wine and hard kombucha. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-08“

“Was looking for a quality pizza place with a nice sit down experience, and a friend recommended John's. Delivered on every level. The dining room has efficient little booths crammed into a space full of old graffiti and celebrity photos. The soundtrack is Stevie Wonder and Ella Fitzgerald, both welcome. (Didn't have any wait at 11:30am.) And the pizza! Our large pie showed up in what felt like 5 min, and it was fantastic. The amazing sauce was clearly made in house -- a far cry from the crappy canned sauce so many places use. Ample cheese and a crisp, delicious crust made every part of it fantastic. “The best brunch plate that I've ever had. And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Straight up the juiciest, most tender chicken I've had in my life. I've never seen chicken so tender that it just falls off the bone like this one did.I got the Dark Meat combo with scallion pancake as my included side and the portion was decent and reasonably priced. This was way beyond my expectations and I'll definitely be back!“

“Before I even lived in the neighborhood Jajaja was easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. Highly recommend!“
