“For what I ordered (steamed chicken with broccoli - garlic sauce on the side for dipping as you like - or don't), it's very good. The chicken when steamed (if it is good) is how you can measure if the restaurant is any good and it defintely passed the test. Most other Chinese restaurants chicken when steamed (with no sauce on it and eaten) will taste gamey and just not edible in my book. This was NOT the case.
Other than that, the parking is non existent in the later hours till closing in front of the restaurant as the parking is shared with tenants of the building above and other restaurants in the same location. Not good for being on route 5 I can assure you, but still doable.
Lastly, I know it's a Chinese restaurant, but they rush you off the phone when ordering without you finishing a thought or a sentence. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT.
Have one more minute of patience and you might make more money per order. An extreme turn off when ordering anywhere really.
Lastly, NO DELIVERY.
Take this all into consideration and see if it's right with you. Any updates as to all items ordered, I will update here shortly. Happy food hunting....
***This is strictly an order to pick up type spot as the inside seating is small and needs a refresh if you ask me and some cleaning.“

“I ordered it for delivery a few times, and the taste of the sauce and seasoning were just right for my taste, so I plan to order it again.
-What I liked the most were Nanjawans and Yoo Sanseul. The Yusanseul was delicious as it came out exactly as I expected, and the Nanjawanse was a bit perplexed by its appearance as the individual pieces of meat were more round-shaped than I expected, but the sticky meat inside and soft texture on the outside went well with the sauce. I enjoyed it.
-I didn't enjoy the Jjajangmyeon and Kkanpunggi as much as I did, but since I live about an hour away from delivery, I think there was nothing I could do physically to prevent the noodles from going bad or the batter from becoming mushy.“

“Was here 3 weeks ago with 4 girlfriends. The food we ordered were delicious and loved that the skewers rotated itself once they were placed.
If you are plan on eating a lot of skewers (particularly lamb) I suggest coming in pairs or small group of 3. While the menu states there's a minimum piece order, it doesn't tell you, you are also capped at a certain amount of pieces when you order certain cuts (i believe it was lamb and beef?)
There was one dish in particular I loved and still think about - I don't remember the name but it was deep fried red chili and pork. It was so goooood! The owner was kind and explained when we asked why buy it would've just been nice to know at the very beginning or see it on the menu for full transparency because it caught us all off guard.
All in all, I would definitely go back and cap it to 3 people max so we can have the full skewer experience.“

“I’ve tried in store and takeout (Jjajangmyeon, jjampong, 탕수육, 깐풍새우). The food is amazing and portions are okay compared to the price. The only thing is when it gets really busy like around noon, it gets very crowded in the small space.“

“I'm a regular here. Jjajangmyeon is delicious. It doesn't taste like sugar and tastes like Miwon. It feels healthy, right? Anyway, it's delicious. It was like that for a while after the store moved, but it seems like it's back to its old taste. In particular, the Jjamppong sweet and sour pork is generous and the best in New Jersey!“

“The sweet and sour pork and dried shrimp dishes were really delicious.
I had soybean paste and red pepper jjamppong for dinner, and it was just so-so. It was a pity that the noodles were swollen.
Parking has to be on the street, which is a bit inconvenient.“

“Yingtao offers an elevated dining experience, honoring the owner’s grandmother with both its name and the thoughtful approach to each dish. The restaurant’s sleek, modern interior and open kitchen immediately impress upon entry. The tasting menu is a carefully curated array of dishes with refined flavors, with the duck, toast, foie gras, and nian gao standing out as memorable highlights. The flavors here are subtly layered and delicate, showcasing a restrained elegance that even extends to the desserts, which are perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Service at Yingtao is exceptional, among the best I’ve encountered. The front-of-house team is attentive and professional, and a special mention goes to Ria, whose deep knowledge of the menu enriched my experience by offering thoughtful insights and explanations. Yingtao is a beautiful homage to family and fine dining—a truly refined experience that’s well worth a visit.“

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

“Pretty standard flavor spot, slightly pricy if considering the quality. Things would go wrong but nothing really stands out.
They serve fast, clean fast, bill you fast. Understandable but it feels like you are rushed to get out.
✨Tea-smoked duck might be the one I would recommend. The flavor was mild but rich. Meat was not dry.
Dan-Dan noodles was good, a classic. I recommend ask for some vinegar to mix with.
The chive fried pancake was authentic.“

“all of the food was incredibly flavorful, even the traditionally more milder dishes were still packed with flavor. the interior was beautifully decorated and the staff very lovingly decorated the restaurant with halloween decorations for this season.
we loved the yunnan fried tofu with the super soft interior and perfectly fried outside, the best texture combination in our opinions. the deep fried short ribs had so much flavor and paired perfectly with the lime. the highlight of the meal, the yunnan signature crossing bridge had some of the most tender meat along with the soothing soup that was much needed on a cold day. the portions were pretty big and the food was filling.

“No frills steamed bun & dumpling place, apparently a huge wholesale provider for stores in the area! <$10 to feed two people. In the basement of the mall (East Broadway Mall, under the highway), kinda hard to find, but it’s a vibe when you get there!
The ladies work are so nice. Service is super fast. Cash only.
The buns had a taste that lingered in my mouth all day, but they were good at first bite. I preferred the dumplings (order #2).“

“It is not often enough that great atmosphere and ambience pair together with great food, but this place has done just that.
Since their renovations last year the quality of everything from the plates to the whole interior design has improved. Not only that but the food is one of the best in the neighborhood.“

“The restaurant truly exceeded all expectations and left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was both cozy and sophisticated, making it an ideal setting for any occasion, whether casual or special. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless and enjoyable. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece—beautifully plated, seasoned to perfection, and packed with rich, authentic flavors that showed off the chef’s expertise. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the menu offered a perfect balance of classic dishes and creative innovations. Even the smallest details, from the perfectly chilled drinks to the warm bread served at the start, were carefully thought out. The dessert menu was equally impressive, with indulgent options that were the perfect ending to a flawless meal. Overall, this restaurant is a gem, and I can’t wait to return!

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“I made a Friday night reservation for my father's birthday, and it was packed by 7:30! The majority of the crowd was on the younger side.
That being said, it was a bit weird that I arrived with my family just a few minutes before our reservation time, but some younger couples behind us were greeted and introduced to their tables first. The hostess did request we honor a 1.5 hour seating and I thought that was pretty reasonable given how busy it was.
The food highlights were the whole fish and the unique fried glutinous rice balls! The whole fish was rich with a spicy and non-spicy diced broth, which was subtly spicy. Fish was cooked just enough to not fall apart in the chili pepper sauce. I've never had black sesame glutinous rice balls before deep-fried and then stir-fried with pickled mustard greens; it's a pretty interesting flavor combination that I ended up liking. It's a bit on the pricey side for what it was but worth trying if you're feeling adventurous.
Other dishes including the Chongqing noodles, sauteed pea shoots, and Zi Ding (spicy chicken), and truffle fried rice were perfect. I'd avoid the black pepper beef cubes, which were a little under-seasoned.“

“small noodle shop near Harlem as a gluten free eater getting something satisfying and seasoned well without sacrificing quality can be tough. This place is a go to. They're fast, and my go to rice noodle pork combo tends to last me two meals for the price it costs. Can't advocate enough.

“These five skewers: arguably the best thing I've eaten in this city for under $15. The highlight are the mushroom / scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled over coals... For $2.50?! Pinch me, I'm dreaming

“A little gem of a place smack down close to midtown: affordable, delicious, good portion sizes, and great ambience. The waiters are attentive and there’s a good buzz around the restaurant.

“Yummy and fun. Expensive but it's a good date night spot. We loved the cocktails. We tried the Wizard of Oz, Ozmanthus, the Autumn, and the old fashioned. Chili oil wontons are always great. Tofu pockets were so cute! Loved the signature noodles and the black truffle rice. Wish we skipped the tomato tofu hot pot. It was too tomatoey. Overall it was a nice time.“

“Din Tai Fung has been a long-time favorite of mine, and I’ve visited their locations across Asia more times than I can count. So, I was really looking forward to the opening of this NYC location. It took some time, but as soon as I walked in, I could see why. This isn’t like the more casual branches I’m used to – they’ve gone all out, creating a stunning space that’s perfect for a special night out. Though it’s a large venue, it feels intimate, and the table arrangement makes conversations easy. Service was excellent; our waiter was excited to introduce us to the restaurant and stayed attentive throughout the meal.
Now, the food! We tried two varieties of their signature xiaolongbao – the traditional pork and the pork and crab. Both were superb and just as good as what you’d find in Asia. The paper-thin wrappers are some of the best I’ve had outside of the Pacific, with great flavor and delicious soup inside. The pork chop fried rice was also outstanding – tender, juicy pork served over perfectly cooked fried rice. We also enjoyed the seaweed and tofu salad, which was a great starter. I did miss the wild vegetable tofu and sesame oil salad I’ve had in Asia, but I imagine it might be due to ingredient availability here. Prices are a bit higher than their Asian branches, but for me, the atmosphere and quality were worth it. I’ll definitely be back.
Note: Unlike other locations, this one is reservation-only.“

“If you need to read reviews to decide to go to Congee Village, the order is wrong.. your family or friends should have brought you there before. No one visits Congee Village alone. “Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.“
