“I've been to Tobalá a couple of times since they opened, and their food, drinks, and service have always been great. But last night, they were absolutely stunning. I tried a few dishes (Memelas de Wagyu and Enmoladas de Pato) for the first time, and I was in shock, super delicious!! I want to congratulate their staff and owners for their constant effort to elevate the experience at Tobalá and improve every day, bringing this beautiful concept to the community. “I organized a parents night out for Grace Nursery School parents to get together on a weeknight and had a great experience. Elena helped me organize the 15 person event by reserving space at the front of the restaurant/bar for our group and they offered appetizers to our group, while we ordered dinner and drinks. Food was tasty, service was great. I'll be going back again and would recommend for a group gathering.“

“My boyfriend loves red snapper so I am consistently seeking places that serve it - on the bone where possible. We just so happened to be in the area when I found it on the menu. Went once and now regularly drive an hour just to come here for the red snapper and Pollo al ajillo which is my favorite (huge garlic fan). I want to explore other items on the menu but I can't because I absolutely love that dish. The happy hour during the week is also fantastic, he drives and I indulge in mojitos, which is a huge win for me. The happy hour apps are great too! We've tried them all.“

“The restaurant is small but the ambiance is wonderful. The establishments location is a bit harder to find parking but thankfully they offer valet. The appetizers are portioned well for the price and delightful to your taste buds. Make sure you make reservations on a Saturday evening. Thankfully the management was able to squeeze us in for a last minute walk in which was truly appreciated knowing our end. The customer service is pleasant and they made sure they accommodated to their customers well. Just a side note currently the restaurant doesn’t serve liquor but is byob. They do offer mojito and sangria mixes.“

“I've been wanting to stop here for awhile & it just so happened my friend had a wedding luncheon there. They were highly aware of the crowd that was coming in & then seemed annoyed to have actual customers. The main bartender (bald guy) was completely rude about everything. The food was amazing, I had a chipotle burger that was delicious & the place itself is nice. The food is definitely overpriced & they need to get rid of that nasty guy. When you are asked if you want your martini served in a martini glass that's a problem. I asked for stuffed olives and was served plain. She corrected it later after I asked. The food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, especially top with their secret sauce and the sweet potato fries were delicious, with a side of garlic aioli dipping sauce. The atmosphere reminded me of being in a bar but with a hint of the calmness of a winter cabin in the woods. What made our experience top notch was the service. Kim was our server and she made our first time very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. “The place has a very nice cozy feel yet almost like you're in a different country or manhattan. This is a gem in the Bronx. A real fancy looking bougie spot like you can take your family, friends, or loved ones here to celebrate for a special occasion. You cannot go to a steakhouse and not have a steak, the ny strip was juicy and there were plenty of options to choose from for a sauce and comes with one side dish. My steak my pipping hot and I love that. My partner had the rib eye and had no complaints. The crab cake was delicious with a mango and pepper combination with the right amount of kick. On another note, our waitress was attentive and our bartender Ariel was on point and friendly. The drinks were definitely made with his own flair, I had a lychee martini and cosmo totally forgot to include that. He even gave us shots to celebrate Mother's Day, don't judge me guys. I see yall lol. But yes! Overall, top five and a staple in the Bronx yes the Bronx.
