“Such a great dinner spot! Came here with a two coworkers and were blown away by the service. Our waiter gave detailed recommendations that turned out to be delicious!! I got the ragú as my main meal and loved it, and the cabbage/shrimp appetizer was what especially surprised us with its flavor. It was a small and quaint spot with only a handful of tables, which created an intimate environment. I came from out of town but if I was local, this would be a go to for me!“

“Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this gem for dinner. We were able to walk in around 8pm and be seated quickly. The restaurant was big with many dining rooms, a bar and w beautiful outdoor area which opens up in the warmer weather. We were greeted by the owner himself, Marco and he sat us fairly quickly. He was so nice, the second he brought us the menu he said, "if there's anything not anything on this menu that you want, just let me know" which was already unique in itself. We were all able to find something for each of us on his pretty extensive menu, he had everything you would find at a typical Italian restaurant. When you sit down, you get a bread basket and a little bowl of bruschetta with balsamic vinegrette which was a great start. The wine selection was nice and the cocktails were great. We ordered with the burrata for our app which was good. For our entrees we got the orchiette, jumbo shrimp pasta and gnocchi with vodka sauce. All of it was so good. The jumbo shrimp sauce with the angel hair made the dish and the vodka sauce for my gnocchi was to die for, in addition to them being pillowy goodness. Our only regret is that we wish we had saved room for dessert. Looking to coming back here for their outdoor patio!“

“Even though Google says they open at 11 am. I called to push my luck and to my surprise they were open and I called them at 10:30 am! The owner of the restaurant Anthony picked up the phone. He is the most sweetest man I have ever spoke with on the phone. This is my first time ordering a huge order for my work place and he helped me plan everything and I was so nervous to because it's my first ordering for my work place and trying out NJ pizza. I only know NYC pizzas lol. I am getting off topic here. I highly recommend this place for anyone. They are so welcoming and you can definitely tell they care about their clients needs. Their pizzas is just as good as NYC.“

“Do you like authentic thin crust Italian pie? I do! This is why I love their pizza. I love the bubble in the crust with just the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio. I always ask for very little cheese on my Margherita pizza and more sauce. They get it perfect every time. I liked it better than the pie I had in Naples.“

“Lots of pizza places to choose from in Long Valley, but this is our go-to. Love their pizza! And staff so friendly. For the 3rd year in a row, they let the middle school play have their cast party there. The kids run around on the grass and pizza and drink soda. Pizza has long been consumed, but they let us stay and celebrate and eat cake long after they have closed. Very supportive of kids and the community. I'm happy to recommend them!“

I always order it in advance and then walk to pick it up and the guys in there are always super friendly. If you are picking up, it’s easy to park on the street right in front and pop in a grab your food. All I want from a regular old school pizza place is good pizza and Sorrento’s never disappoints.“

The new owner has transformed the restaurant into something completely different, with its own unique identity, but kept the charm of the original building, which we love. The string bean salad with beets, and the Lobster ravioli entree special with shrimp and scallops, served in a vodka sauce, was my favorite. This was perfect place to enjoy a meal and a conversation. The service was attentive but didn't make us feel rushed. “Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“

“Always searching for new pizzerias, I stopped in for lunch at Pizza Rustica yesterday. This restaurant is located in a strip mall off Main Street in Rockaway. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front. The place is big inside with plenty of seating. The counter is on the right with a few small tables. To the left is a large dining room. I always love when there's plenty of choices of pies for slices, and they had an excellent selection here. I chose a slice of broccoli rabe with sausage. That combo is great and you don't find that on pies too often. Very friendly server behind the counter giving details on other pies. It was a fun stop and I definitely recommend!“

“Went to Forte last night for the first time in many years. We don't live close, but was traveling to a dinner party in the area. There was ample food for everyone and food was enjoyed by all. “My wife and a good friend ate at Mia Nonna's yesterday. I have never given a restaurant a review because I never felt compelled to. That changed yesterday. The first thing we noticed was the fantastic attitude of the staff. Eager and constantly at our service. Then there was the food. Excellent and generous portions. And served HOT! First, we started with an order of the Fresh Fried Calamari. Shared 3 ways it was excellent. I had the veal saltimbocca. As another reviewer commented, I got two very large portions of veal, pounded so thin it was almost as thin as the prosciutto. Served with broccoli, carrots, and roasted potatoes. One of my favorites when dining Italian. This was one of the best. My wife had the special veal dish and my friend had the penne alla scampi. Everything was excellent. We finished with dessert, home made creme brûlée, spumoni bomba (strawberry pistachio and chocolate gelato covered with chocolate). The wait staff was excellent and always there meeting our needs. And equally important to seniors with hearing aids, it was quiet with gentle background music. A very pleasant dining experience. We have definitely added Mia Nonna's to our "weekend night out" list. We will be back soon.“
