“Definitely had an enjoyable brunch at Jacob’s Pickle. The drinks were delicious, and service was pretty good but I could tell the waitstaff were a bit stretched. I had the hot chicken biscuit, which was so delicious. The sandwich was huge, pickles were extraordinary, and the hot sauce they use is not only hot but also very flavorful. We had to purchase a bottle of hot sauce to go home, that’s how good it was! My husband got the chicken and pancakes, and the chicken was tasty but the pancakes were dry and thick. We will definitely be back and will just stick to the chicken, biscuits and pickles which you can’t go wrong with!“
“Excellent food all round. Solid menu choices, good prices and good service.- 9/10 Fried chicken, the crisp and seasoning is on point.- 9.5/10 MacNcheese, the two cheese combo is close to perfect- 8.5/10 Smothered Chicken, slightly too thin- 9/10 Collard Greens, the strips of salted meat in there were a real treat- 8/10 Candied Yams, sweet, soft and syrupy!- 7.5/10 Ribs, probably the most disappointing thing on the menu. Not big in size, the sauce was odd.“
“March1 . My first time going to Melba’s . The food was a 1000/10! for me. I placed my order as soon as I walked in at the bar . I was greeted the moment I came in by a very nice host. The person who took my order at the bar could’ve been a bit more nicer attitude when I asked her the differences of the meats. Attached is what I got . Meal 26$ they definitely should at least give u more, another set of wings cause just this ONE wasn’t enough for the amount I paid. UNSURE of which selection I got between dark meat white meat etc . But food overall 1000/10“
“This is one of the best sports bars I’ve been to in NYC. Met up for one of my friends birthdays and went bar hopping and ended up here. They have TV’s at every angle, and plenty of spacing for standing or seating. The have many options for drinks, and the food options are very strong as well. It was my first time here, but I’ll definitely be returning. I would recommend this to any group of friends looking to catch some games and enjoy and solid hue.“
“Food was pretty good, a bit overpriced for Cajun food. I really liked the blackened fish but the shrimp was just okay. Staff was hesitant to seat us which was weird because there was a table right next to us. Work on better customer service!“
“I find myself loving this place more and more, not only is the food great but the owners are AMAZING!!! It’s black owned, and the love they put in their food just keeps me coming back everytime I’ve had to come to Harlem. The fried foods are made fresh to order which is what you would hope for, and everything else is on point. Exactly what I be hoping for when I crave soul food. Must try!!“
“Went to Ginny's for Thanksgiving! Thank you for such a great experience. The jazz singer and her band were sent from Heaven to bless is all! The food was delicious! The Mac & Greens slapped my taste buds and made me tell my mama about them! ?. Definitely will return, and return, and return!“

Amy Ruth's in Harlem ? serves an wide selection of delicious ? dishes ?️ such as fried chicken ?, waffles , sandwiches ?, salads ?, and more all named after historic American ?? figures. Staff ?? and friendly,. service is quick ⏲️, and they have lots of indoor seating. Recommended that you arrive early ⏰ to avoid waiting in line. ? I wish I came here more often!“
“Ordered via UberEats. I got the bodega & the ACP.Oh my god. Immediate eyes rolled to the back of my head at the first bite of the bodega biscuit. I got the maple cayenne butter also which I feel was a nice touch. The buttermilk biscuit is buttery, rich, soft, and so good!! Not dry at all!The ACP came with the gravy on the side, which I appreciated to avoid a soggy biscuit. Again, absolutely delicious although I will say it might’ve been a bit salty.. but regardless it was great! Savory and just *chef’s kiss* Worth every penny!I couldn’t even finish it. They are not skimpy with the portions at all! I only wish they had some lattes / tea. Will definitely be ordering again!Truly a neighborhood gem!“
“Oh my goodness! I was here with my best friend. The food is exceptional. The staff is top notch. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The best part was meeting the head chef, Sal. What am amazingly humble, kind, sweet & talented man! Patsy's is a MUST GO place in NYC!!“
“I order from Javelina all the time and the food is always great. They are willling to modify my order without any issues and I am super appreciative. But this time they went even more over the top as I accidentally ordered pickup instead of selecting delivery. When I called to ask them to change my order they could not have been any more kind to me. (And they don’t know this but I am hurt and would not have been able to walk to pick my food up). So thank you Javelina. You guys rock.“
“Ok so the chicken tenders are AMAZING! Very fresh and hot and crispy. It’s s small menu that has a lot of southern inspiration. The biscuits with the honey butter are melt in your mouth good. The cocktails are nice and they are strong. If your in to watching sports games this is the place for you. If you just want to sit in the corner and do your own thing, this is also the place for you.“
“I was introduced to Jacob's Pickles recently when meeting a friend at the Moynihan Trail Hall. He insisted on finding food as soon as he arrived from Washington, D.C., refusing to venture outside the building. So, we headed to the food court and stumbled upon Jacob's Pickles. The enticing aroma from the kitchen beckoned us, especially with its unique southern-inspired menu, which particularly resonated with me being from the south. I opted for the barbecue chicken-loaded fries as a starter, which turned out to be a substantial meal in itself. The portion size was exceptionally generous, prompting me to take some home. It's rare to find such generous portions in New York City without breaking the bank. Additionally, I indulged in biscuits and gravy and mac-and-cheese with two friends. I recommend treating these dishes as a family-style dining experience due to their size. Although Jacob's Pickles in the train hall lacks a dedicated dining area, the hall provides a pleasant space to enjoy your meal, provided it's not too crowded. While the food was served in a reasonable amount of time, it did take a bit longer for the barbecue chicken-loaded fries. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Jacob's Pickles and look forward to returning when my friend visits again and inevitably demands immediate dining. It's safe to say where we'll be dining next time!“
“Vietnamese food is one of my favorite cuisines so I've had a lot of Viet food in my life. I've also been to Vietnam three times. So believe me when I say Saigon Bistro has really good Viet food! The grilled pork was delicious and juicy. Spring rolls were crispy and perfectly cooked. Summer rolls were also good. We also got the sweet corn pudding which we liked too. Oh service is great as well. We'll be back many times.“
“I didn't know what to expect upon arrival. The food was DELICIOUS!!! It was definitely worth the travel from Connecticut to Yonkers, NY.The prices were reasonable especially for the quality of the food! They have so many options, I want EACH OF EVERYTHING!!!Go because it's great food, but also go to support a Black owned business. This young man and his family are in a business that is rough. It is hard work, and the profit margin is slim, but one can see he loves his work.“
“Had the catfish poboy at uptown night Market! They told me 15 minutes was done in 15 minutes. It was a large fried catfish filet and it was perfectly crispy. I think the tartar sauce may have needed a little more salt but overall great experience. Reminded me of Louisiana“
“For Breakfast, I bought French Toast and an Omelet. Most bodegas in the area don't make French Toast (a few don't know what French Toast is), so I was fortunate to discover that this place makes French Toast. There isn't much room to eat inside the place, so I think it's mostly take out orders. My food was ready relatively quickly. Approximately 5 minutes and the food itself was fine in a basic way.“
“I BBQ and smoke meats at home but don't always feel like doing a 12hr brisket cook. Saw this place nearby and figured to give it a try. The Korean fixings on top of traditional BBQ went great. Got the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. Corn bread was really good too.Was expecting to order takeout but ended up sitting inside. They but had a decent amount of tables. It also had table service which was unexpected. Service was excellent and really appreciated the conversation and genuine help. Definitely will be going back.“
“I’ve been wanting to come here for a while so today 03/14/2024 I decided to drive all the way from Queens and I wasn’t disappointed. The woman that took my order was very welcoming and polite but the only issue I had was it’s not really a sit down restaurant. More like an order to go place. Now there’s a small bench with three seats inside near the front window and I was lucky that 3 customers that was waiting for their food gave me the seats. I ordered the 3 piece Pan-Fried Chicken with Mac&Cheese and Yams which came with Cornbread. The food was AMAZING, SO AMAZING I ordered a plate to go(with a little guilt)! Food shouldn’t taste so good. They make it hard for me trying to stay healthy. I’m just happy they don’t have one in Queens near me! GREAT FOOD!“
“Kiki and Nikki and the rest of the staff were so kind, fun and gracious. We came in around 1:30p and stayed until 7p. Very unusual for us but we were having such a good time. The food was delicious but what made it great was the staff. My friends went back last night for the live music and I plan on visiting in the near future.“
“The best restaurant of the entire trip to New York. We felt like we were at home eating dinner with our mothers. It filled the stomach and the soul. This is an obligatory stop to discover how well people eat in the United States. Great southern food.“
“I wanted decent fresh seafood for my birthday, and The Cap't Loui was EXACTLY what I needed. Oh my word, it was absolutely excellent ? Everything from the time we walked in until we left was on point. My waitress was very attentive & kind.My s☀️nshine, and I haven't been out for a minute, so everything was just groovy. He's a picky guy and he was very impressed.Oh wait....but the drinks in the pouches, were potent & very tasty.“
“Excellent soul food. Everything had great flavor and not salty or greasy. Cornbread was best I have had. Collard greens were excellent flavor and mac has great flavor too.I had shrimp and fish combo, and it was a good amount. Nice size shrimps and good amount of fish.My son had wings and mac, he enjoyed it very much. Wings were a great size too.My hubby had shrimps and fries and he enjoyed as well. Can’t wait to try their chocolate cake.Place is clean and welcoming, will def be back.“
