“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“Great place.. Amazing dishes and desserts. Amazing staff and host. Will definitely be back. —— If I had one con, it would be the speaker volume. It really needs to be at an appropriate dinner volume in that you can have a discussion with that people at your table and not shout. We asked twice for it to be lowered. But I’m unsure it was ever adjusted. Loud club-music volume while dining is just unnecessary.“
“It is very good but not worth going out of your way to obtain. Worth trying once if possible. We drove from Jersey, paid the toll, and waited 40 minutes for a margherita pie. We ate two slices freshly served, and they had a nice crispy bottom and balance of sauce. It was lacking a bit of salt for me. We ate another microwaved slice at home, and it tasted no different than any other Jersey pizza. Please note it takes at least 40 minutes to prepare from the time of placing a takeout order.“
“When we came we thought that it is going to be like many other good Neapolitan pizzas but it was simply THE BEST. Very nice environment and great service. The pizzas were so good and delicious so do the desserts. The many attempts we did for getting a reservation were completely worth it. Highly recommended!“
“A vibey restaurant that screams NYC from the effortlessly casual yet attentive service, killer cocktails, cosy but vibrant atmosphere and slamming pizza. The pizza is a thin and cracker style bar pie but with enough body and chew to bring the bite satisfaction. Toppings are quality and cooked perfectly.Cacio e Pepe was a bit lacking in oomph with a light cheese and black pepper taste so would not order again.Cocktails were so delicious - get the bar experts to whip you up something off-menu and you will be happy.Notes about scoring:1 star = Memorably awful2 star = Not good and would avoid3 star = Good but would not return4 star = Recommended5 star = Incredible and must visit if you can“
“We looked up this place before our trip to NY and it didn't disappoint. The service we received and the food was phenomenal. We sat close to the oven so we watched the chef work his magic on the dough. We also salivated ?? as we watched every sizzling pizza emerge from the oven. They made a small error with our order and insisted on making a brand new pizza and giving us drinks "on the house". Superb Customer Service! The homemade ginger ale was fantastic!!The Garlic Bread with cheese was soooo good with Tomato Sauce on the side ??.This is a must stop for our next visit to NYC.“
“This place is so much fun to go on a date or with a group friends. Such a fun spot , and our Axe expert PJ was absolutely awesome . He was so helpful since some of my friends had zero experience holding an axe . PJ is definitely a good vibe !They have a good selection of beer and hard seltzers. Must try the Pretzel, delishhh !Also, good board games meanwhile you wait for your turn to play Axe . Lol“
“Definitely worth the half-hour wait. The employee was a rushing us a little bit but I can understand because of the long line which is why I have it a 4 star for service. I highly recommend trying the plain cheese and pepperoni pizzas, but steer clear of the white sauce option. The pizzas were crispy and with an amazing flavor. If you find yourself in the area, it's a definite must-try!“
“So happy with this restaurant! The dishes were plated in such delicate and detailed way, perfect for get you ready to get into all the flavors. The Grandma-style pizza is a must! And arrive just in time! Also it’s such a great place with an amazing staff and the perfect ambiance; the brunch bartender suggested the best cocktails keep in mind my preferences about liquor.Definetly Loring Place continue show dishes full of flavor, color and an open invitation to come back for more.“
“A wonderful tomato sauce penne fish complete with mozzarella cubes and fresh basil. Noting ordinary-- freshly made with great ingredients. And I came on a cold, rainy evening by myself snd felt very comfortable i will return with friends and family.Dietary restrictions: Nice options for GF diners.“
“food was really good but I didn't like the way they treated this man standing outside in the rain. they treated him like he was trash and he didn't even do anything wrong. food was excellent but they need to treat all customers the same. treat the tourists the same as the homebodies!!!!“
“After a breathtaking view of New York from Rockefeller Center, hunger spontaneously drove us straight to Ace's.Without looking for long, we spontaneously decided to eat there. The furnishings in the style of the 80s and 90s appealed to us, and the ever-popular ALF was playing on a tube television.David, who served us, was incredibly personable and warm. At the end of our visit he even became my hero. The pizzas you get here are authentic and vary in dough and are prepared in a pan.We ordered the Hot Burrata, Vodka Meatball and the Buffalo Pizza. And we can say they were simply divine. Crispy, fluffy, juicy and tasty. This Detroit-style pizza blew us away, even as Neapolitans. Our favorite was definitely the Hot Burrata.A little tip: Order the small pan pizzas in different varieties, David will certainly give you good advice.Thank you again, David, for your hospitality and for bringing me my forgotten backpack (my hero). The fact that you found us in the crowd was nothing short of a miracle. In conclusion, if you're in New York, treat yourself to this pizza at Ace's. We will definitely do it again when we visit New York. Until then, we wish you all the best and keep it up!!“
“The Chimi pizza was bomb! The dough was baked just right not too burnt not too soft perfect and crunchy.Don’t get me started on the Dominican Pizza. It was so good it took me back to thanksgiving with my aunt who makes it perfectly. It took me back home and almost made me search the kitchen for my aunt?.Owner was great interacted with us and made conversation very genuine and warm welcomingParking: Parking was pretty decent. Not great not badKid-friendliness: Music was clean and up beat“
“Great place, walked we found this place that seems not so relevant but when we entered and enjoyed their food it was a pleasant experience, their pizza napoletana It was delicious, my wife ordered Lasagna bolognese Very good kitchen, Splendid service at all times thanks to everyone Excellent “
“We’ve eaten at several places in Little Italy but this may be our new favorite. It’s the real deal. Truly fresh pasta - you can taste the difference. We had the bucatini and the gnocchi. They also brought a chocolate cheesecake or mousse dessert that was ridiculously good. The service was excellent. Very friendly, patient, and right on top of everything. There is plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables. The interior is fresh and welcoming. We even enjoyed watching an employee carve a large wheel of cheese. It’s been the closest thing we’ve found in the US to our experience in Italy. The bucatini reminded me of the same thing I had at a tiny, family restaurant in Sienna. We will definitely be back any time we are in the city.“
“We had the best time at Little Charli! I've been there for small dinners, group dinners and also did the pizza making class. Every time we have had an amazing experience! The pizza making class was so much fun and the food was to die for! Between the food, atmosphere and staff, this is place is a must!“
“FOOD- Freshly baked dough and rich tomato sauce, the crust, perfectly crisp on the outside yet delightfully chewy inside. Each bite bursts with flavor. The cheese stretches tantalizingly with freshness. An experience that captures the essence of New York's culinary heritage.PRICE - very reasonable.LOCATION -many surrounding shop.ATMOSPHERE- cozy, friendly staffs and clean!“
“came here not knowing what to expect but the pizza was really good. brought my picky brother who only eats plain pizza and they added this delicious puree to it i think it was pumpkin. our waiter was super friendly and attentive! definitely recommend! :)“
“Went there with my friend today. Hands down, best pizza I have had in Astoria. Order Marinara sauce on the side, trust me. Service was as good as the pizza, ladies inside were really nice. Highly recommend this place if you are a pizza lover like I am. I’ll be back for sure!“
“The pizza is first & foremost amazing! Im not a pizza kinda person but i could have their pizza everyday for sure, not even trying to exaggerate. My favorite is a bit basic, margarita/plain slice but they make it better than any other pizzeria ive had in NY?“
“The food was amazing. I had rigatoni with broccoli and shrimp. My friend had chicken parmesan. The portions are really substantial. We started with the meatball and fried mozzarella appetizers and were full by the time the entrées arrived. The waiter was informative and the staff was on top of their game. Very attentive. Most important, we ordered drinks, I had a gin and ginger with lime and I must tell you that the bartender was not stingy.. We had a good time and I'm definitely going back.“
“Tried 3 pies incl 2 on the in-house only menu and they were surprisingly VERY dry. The crust was fantastically chewy incl the outer crust but how do you have vodka sauce so thin on a pie that it has almost no effect because overall the combination is too dry?⁉️Why would you make pizza like the El Cubano which is comparable to the sandwich and interestingly great flavor combination but with mostly "cheese" and toppings of ham, pickle and the occasional strip of mustard but on on plain crust/bread & with no sauce or juiciness that you get on a Cuban sandwich so, again, a dry pie?I'm being very generous in my score because one of the three at least felt like there was some sauce & moisture on it.. as well as a great chew all the way out to the edge of the crust was fantastic and tasty dough plus the staff was very attentive but what's going on with the negative moisture factor?⁉️“
“Had dinner here last night, last minute, no reservations. So happy with our decision. The food was very tasty, and generous portion. Downstairs there was like a private lounge which was super cool. Definitely a vibe.? we will be back. Service was a 10/10 even though they were busy.“
“Excellent pizza and interesting toppings. They once had a hazelnut pizza that I still dream about (please bring it back!). Is it the best Neopolitan style pizza in the NYC area? I can think of several others in NYC that I prefer. Still, it’s up there among the best, and definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and craving pizza. For sure the best pizza in Jersey City. Service is efficient and friendly.“
“If you want Italian food while you’re in New York, Marcellino is the place to be. Everything from the pizzas, pastas, and drinks are incredible. Located in heart of little Italy. And great service too. Thank you Nestor for taking care of us! Will come back “
“This is by far the best vegan Italian food we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, healthy and delicious! No refined sugar, excellent gluten free pasta and crust, only healthy oils (no canola or soybean oils), and super fresh ingredients. Love their concept of truly healthy food. Sha, our waiter provided stellar, friendly service. He was able to easily answer all of our allergen/ingredient questions. He was the best! All of the chefs and floor staff were incredible too. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“Sitting at Diego’s bar made me a better wife, mother, daughter, and person. He brought me back to life and shared his passion for New York, making me excited about waking up tomorrow. If Sofia’s does not give Diego a significant raise, they will be doing themselves a disservice. Diego is the reason for Sofia’s. He is the light. Go to Sofia’s for Diego… And the orecchiette di salmone. Sofia’s is lucky to have him.“
“The Best Pizza in NYC! - If you want the best pizza in NYC you have to go to Pop's Pizza. I'm a native New Yorker of 50 years and Pop's Pizza is my favorite pizza in NYC. They make a perfect slice... thin crispy crust with fresh sauce, toppings and ingredients. If you like garlic, you have to try the Margarita but no matter what you order every slice is amazing and the owners are fantastic. ?“
“Delicious, hot out of the oven pies in a cozy wood paneled old school spot. They have espresso martinis on tap but we opted for the wine - all reasonably priced by the glass and super tasty!Between two people we shared the DelRay (their version of a pepperoni) and a white kale pie. The DelRay was a juicy and savoring slice with perfect tomato sauce, and salty greasy saucers of meat. They have chili oil and chili flakes which only help magnify the flavors. The white kale has a base of a nut-free kale pesto with cheese and garlic. This one was a sleeper hit. I usually don’t like white pies but this one blew my expectations. We also had a tres leches cake which was soaked in sweet milk and had a sponge texture. Not my favorite dessert but it could have been that I was so full at this point.I can’t wait to come back and try my pizzas. Might be my favorite sit down spot in NY for pizza ?❤️“
“Food, drinks, and service were incredible! My husband and I stumbled on this place on a date night in NYC, and it was absolutely perfect for a date night! The only thing is the restaurant is tiny tiny so don't think about having a large dinner party, but for a more intimate dinner or lunch, I would highly recommend it! The burrata was our absolute favorite dish! 10/10 recommend!“
“Solid spot for a slice or two of pizza. A little limited in options, but still delicious for the classic options. Plus their hot honey hits just right. Some limited seating in the back but the turnover is decent. Service was quick and brought it out to the table.“
“I moved to North New Jersey from Brooklyn, NY recently and have been on the hunt every weekend with my wife for decent pizza. When I finally found Pizza Knight, I knew this was it. Their pizza is comparable to NYC and might be even better (depending on what spot you go to). Also got to note that there is no FLOP at all. *chef kiss*“
“Forget your search for the -perfect- Neapolitan Pizza in New York City. In my opinion, this place is the undisputed champion, serving up pies that are as authentic and delicious as anything you'd find in Naples itself.Speaking of authentic; its not just the pie's which are 100% authentic, its also the entire ambience of the location. A wood-fired Pizza oven, cozy tables, Diego Maradona and SSC Neapel decoration everywhere - exactly what one would envision when thinking of a true Italian Pizza place.Favorite Pizze:The Tarturfata, Calzone "Song' E Napule" and the Cotto e Fungi.“
“I had a lunch at Osteria Barocca and the food was delicious In addition to the spicy rigatoni, I also ordered the fried calamari. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, exactly how calamari should be. The accompanying dipping sauce added a delightful tanginess to the dish. Overall, my dining experience at Osteria Barocca was delightful. The combination of delicious and fresh pasta with the perfectly cooked fried calamari made for a truly memorable meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Italian cuisine.“
“I went with my family to celebrate my 32nd birthday. The food was 10/10 andres, our waiter was super kind to us. The appetizers were super delicious. When the main course arrived, Andrés recommended that we combine my steak with a wine that was spectacular. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again and again.“
“Amazing experience! Thank you AMBER ?! And thank you Adoro leí for such great service. My boyfriend and I came for our 4 year anniversary and she made sure to alwayss be on point and make sure we were enjoying our time together.. again thank you adoro leí for the experience and thank you AMBER. For being such a sweet heart ? we appreciate you !“
“I am always in the lookout for great pizza places, and this is definitely in my top 5 in NJ. You can’t go wrong here if you are a fan of wood fire neapolitan pizza. My wife found this place on google and the reviews definitely encouraged us to try, and boy I am glad we did. It’s a small, cozy place, but looked like they have options to sit outdoors when the weather gets better. We were welcomed and served with a great smile, which always makes the food taste even better. We tried the Hot honey and a special pizza on their menu with purple potato base. They both were just yummy. The dough - cooked to the right amount of crispness and softness - was just what perfection is. The toppings, cheese, all tasted just fresh and delicious. I am definitely returning to this delightful place serving love in the form of pizza!“
“Not only is this place super delicious as a NY slice but their selection is outstanding along with everyone that works there. The manager Dawn is a sweetheart we’ve hit it off since me and my wife met her. Anyone looking for a great pie this is spot.“
“The best pizza we tried in New York.We liked it so much that we came back a second day to eat this pizza. The dough is tasty and crispy, in other places thanks to the toppings the pizza tastes like something, here the toppings make it sublime. We ordered the first time, a portion of cheese and another of pepperoni and sausage. The second time only pepperoni. The ones from the first day were better, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't order pepperoni again.Highly highly recommended!!“

“I recently celebrated my birthday at Vic’s with a group of friends, and it was an absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the ARANCINI, which were fried to perfection and surprisingly light, with a delightful balance of lemon and fontina cheese. The VODKA pizza was special, featuring unique toppings like guanciale and marjoram that perfectly complemented the gooey fontina cheese. The MAFALDINE pasta was a revelation, with its inventive combination of pistachio, chive, and bread crumbs creating a symphony of flavors and textures unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. And of course, the CHITARRA pasta with lobster and spicy tomato sauce was fresh and indulgent. To top it all off, the TIRAMISU dessert was the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend Vic’s for any special occasion or simply for a delicious meal with friends. Be sure to make a reservation, as this gem fills up quickly!“
“My family happened upon the best pizza of our lives!.We were waiting for a tour bus and wanted to grab a quick dinner. We saw the cute and vibrant colors of Unregular Pizza and decided to give it a try. WOW!WOW!WOW! It was the best pizza of my life! Staff was so friendly! We are from NC and looking forward to next NYC trip just for this pizza!“
“When a craftsman takes pride in their work, it shows! Let me tell you that this pizza has "craftsmanship" written all over it! To begin with not many pizzerias make grandma slices, whereas they had an abundance when I went in. To top it off the taste is just an explosion of flavor! This is besides a variety of pizza styles they have ready. I'm definitely coming back and can't wait to try out other craft slices!“
“Abbiamo trovato Via Toscana per caso, ed è stata una coincidenza perfetta! Andrea e il resto dello staff sono stati gentilissimi, accoglienti, e precisi. Esperienza italiana di accoglienza vera e calorosa. Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo e dopocena al bancone e siamo stati tutti molto soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Grande chef Alessandro. Molto consigliato“
“I gotta say this as a Southerner who was in town to see Long Island’s own Billy Joel at MSG. I made a total bonehead mistake and typed in the wrong amount online for payment (roughly 10x the amount with tip) and these guys were quick to recognize and contact me, assuring me that they had averted the crisis and would have my slices ready for the correct payment when I got there (which was ~ 5 til close). Not only was their service and conscientiousness appreciated, but the slices were just what this bonehead Southerner’ tastebuds were looking for.“
“I mean, what can I say? I sat at the bar, like a lonely weirdo, and the staff was amazing. Fun people, great food, great service, and every one of the staff members has a great backstory. I’m only here four nights, I’ll probably come back four times.“
“We walked into Lil' Frankie's, having not been for a few years, and we are SO glad we returned. For many years, it was our go-to for weekend lunches, pizza with our daughter, and late-night dinners with friends. This particular Saturday at 7 pm, the joint was already jumping. There are various rooms at Lil' Frankie's; your experience might differ depending on where you sit. Everyone enters adjacent to the bar, which, if memory serves, is first come, first serve. Adjacent to the bar is the main dining room with seats in the hall and the back; Frank would put tables on the ceiling if he could figure out how. Through an adjacent door is the Pizza oven room with a few large booths and some other tables, and then you enter "the back," which is a long and narrow seating area with an outside patio. Don't worry; it doesn't matter where you sit; you are here for the food.We ordered a bottle of wine ASAP (Gavi, a dry Italian) and the fried calamari. It was exceptional; I might even go so far as to say the Calimari alone is worth the trip. Crisp and crunch with a soft, delicate interior is difficult to achieve with squid. The tomato sauce is tangy with just the right sweetness, and suffice it to say, a huge hit is our table. Not wanting to mess around, we filled the table. Two chicken parmigiana, a spaghetti limone and a pizza prosciutto Di Parma w/ agugala. On the side, we had the Spinach al Forno and some steamed broccoli (which was a little soggy). Otherwise, everything was exceptional, and we loved every bite.Make reservations as soon as possible and make them often. Don't forget because you will be the one who loses out.“
“We went there on Tuesday night, and I think we got lucky that the restaurant wasn’t crowded. We must have timed our visit well (unknowingly), as we were leaving it got crowded. We picked the window seats and enjoyed the view outside. The food was delicious!! I would love to try other pizzas during my next visit.“
“I have been trying to find this style of pizza (fresh soft chewy but crispy dough) ever since I moved to nyc. So happy I found it ?the decor inside is simple but aesthetic. They have a small selection of beers including two local options. Staff were lovely.“
“Gus, Sam, and Jared were extremely kind and welcoming. Overall providing the best experience and food I've had at one of these locations. I'm never disappointed with my order, and will continue to come here! Thank you to these 3 for making my time here a pleasurable, simple, and kind experience!“
