As we walked up to the store, we saw the owner cleaning up the outside and while we were sitting inside, we saw him cleaning up as well (bonus points), you can tell he wants to keep his shop clean. “We just found this place a week ago my son comes into the store to purchase our low-fat or sugar-free yogurt. He was skeptical at first because it's hard to find a good yogurt place since we used to a place in Brooklyn New York that was fabulous. The owner helped my son with the various products that were either low sugar no sugar or low fat. “This is such a fun spot!! I live only a couple of minutes away and never really thought to try it out... the other day I wanted some fro-yo and decided to try out the Fro-Yo Cafe! Stopping in just made my whole day better, it was such a great experience! First off, the decor and ambience in the little shop is adorable and even has a little fish tank in the seating area!! Second off, all of the flavors were unique and not your basic vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry type of thing. They have cherry tart, s'mores, fudge brownie, cake batter...! And this fro-yo was sooo good! it was light and airy with authentic flavors that didn't taste too rich or overbearingly sweet. Last but definitely not least, the TOPPINGS !!! Something about the layout and selection of their toppings just made my mind go wild! There were so many to look at and I was overwhelmed with the amount of delicious options! after some careful decisions, I decided on some cookie dough bites and waffle cone crumbles but I could have gone MUCH crazier! One last thing to mention is the super friendly and helpful service! Also not sure if it mattered, but when I went it was pretty quite, it was a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm. And fairly priced, too! a bowl that I was able to share was only $5! can't wait to come back!!“

Every time I go to a Ralph's on Staten Island, there is always a line and it's cash only. Through the app, I am able to order many flavors with no stress. “I grew up with Ralph's Italian Ices on Staten Island back in the day. It has been 20yrs since I've last had the sweet delicious frozen treat that is Ralph's. I've been wanting to go back and get it for the longest time but haven't had the opportunity nor time or desire to make the trek back to SI. On a recent visit to my family living in the NJ area I saw that Ralph's has expanded. Went on a whim to try it to see if it is as good as I remembered. Spoiler: It is! I was so happy to see that it was still made and tasted the same. You will not find Italian ice like this anywhere but Ralph's.“

“Thank goodness I don't live very close to this ice cream parlor because I would be there every day. Six of us took a tour and decided to try the ice cream when we were done four of them had the black raspberry ice cream with black with chocolate chunks and I fudge over the top, it was delicious. I've tried the lemon bar with caramel. It was so good I've gone back twice. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. They explain everything and everything was wonderful.“

“This is the second in a series of Staten Island reviews I'll be doing, based on my "Staten Island Adventure" with Jill R. and Rebecca G. Funny enough, I did not start with the first place that Jill R. and I went to the minute we got off the Staten Island Railway. Have you ever taken that thing? It's a trip. I'm pretty sure two homeless kids with bikes were trying to make fun of me. Anyway, it took about 20 minutes for the thing to get going, Jill and I had worked ALL DAY, and then taken a BOAT to sit and listen to these homeless kids with disproportionate ages (one of them was clearly a grown man actually) say really ignorant thing and have their nips keep slipping. Yeah... they were wearing tank tops in September. My point is: I needed ice cream. I said as much at one point at the ferry terminal, 'cause they have some sort of substandard ice cream you can buy at the ferry (sorry ferry ice cream stand). This place was like a majestic beacon the minute you get off the great kills stop. When we in, NO ONE WAS INSIDE. I was going to get something more classic, like a waffle cone or some such, but my instincts asked if she could make a milkshake in any of the flavors available. Could she? Oh, she could. I had a cookies and cream milkshake. It was fantastic. I did suck it down way too fast, and essentially had a dairy hangover for the next 6 hours, but this was aided by not eating anything all day. The lady talked to us for a bit, too. They had games for kids inside. Some sort of rewards program I could not properly sign up for. There's a big ceramic ice cream thing in the window. Good place to bring kids to, I would say. IP.S. Joe G. and I were talking down 2nd Ave later the next week, and I saw a stand outside a pizza place for the SAME EXACT ICE CREAM. I'm like I JUST went to this place on Staten Island. Then the guy behind the counter yelled, "Hey! That's where I'm from!" I'm glad I waited to write this so I could tell you that part. It was the best part of the whole thing.“

I ordered the chocolate waffle and asked them to replace m&ms with mangoes. They did charge me extra for the mangoes though. Overall the waffle was freshly made and the ice-cream was good too! Nothing to not like about an ice-cream and a waffle!“
