“The food and drinks were AMAZING!! We went here for our 30th anniversary. I had the Bison Tender Loin which was flavored and cooked to perfection and the carrot puree and broccolini were perfect compliments. The wife had King Salmon and it too was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We started with the Jumbo lump crab cake and was leery about the pimento cheese but after trying it it too as excellent! Wish I knew the Maitre D name but he was very accommodating and helpful. P.S. Make reservations for the dining room even on a Monday!!! The ambiance was phenomenal dining with the apple trees made for a perfect anniversary dinner. If ever in Taos this is a must on your bucket list and I know we will be back.”

The waffle fries were tasty and a nice treat. We were looking for a nice dessert of ice cream and were delighted to order their homemade apple pie a la mode. Wine and local beer and cider are also available, and there are always some cocktails on their menu that are available “spirit free.” The menu changes seasonally, which keeps things fresh. We are dark dark coffee drinkers so if you like coffee beans to take home I don't recommend for that reason only. Our drinks were tasty just on the light side but again that is our preference.”

“The food was the best Mexican food we’ve had in New Mexico. The staff is super friendly and there’s shade to eat in at the picnic tables. Definitely highly recommend checking it out! We had tacos with Barbacoa, el pastor, and camaron and a barbacoa torta. The barbacoa tacos were so tender and flavorful and the el pastor had the perfect amount of spice. Whether you’re passing through or here to stay, it’s definitely worth the time it takes to stop for lunch.

Parking: You can drive right up and hop out to order and wait in your car if you want.

Kid-friendliness: Spices are pretty mild and the area is far enough from the road to feel comfortable with your kids walking around a bit.”

“Came in craving a steak and ordered the coffee crusted ribeye. The steak was cooked perfectly, but I will ask if they can NOT put the coffee crust on. Was complimented by the dip (thin steak sauce or thick au jus? Very tasty). The potatoes were ok, the asparagus was so. I also had the chili appetizer and that hit the spot. I will come back, and I know the Mexican dishes are very good.”

“I have been enjoying Toribios food for many years now. Over 12 years my wife and I tried many items on the menu. However, my favorite is the breakfast burrito. On many fly fishing trips up north, Toribios is my last stop before leaving town. Armed with my breakfast burrito, hot coffee, and fly fishing gear it is just a wonderful way to start the day. At least to this customer.”

“This place was a little unusual. No wait staff except to deliver orders. Fast food format. Order and pay prior to meals. Flies we prominent outside so we moved inside. Only to be have a pesky fly there as well. Atmosphere was a work in progress. Moderatly priced. Good place for a good, quick, cost-effective meal. Lots of seating but more as a convenience than an attraction.”

“So disappointed that this restaurant has never reopened for dining in. We live an hour and a half away and used to eat here often. It's too far away to get take out. If I pay for a meal, I prefer to be waited on. Haven't eaten here in 2 years for those reasons.”

“My husband and I are visiting Taos for a few days and stopped in for dinner based on my mother in law's recommendation. The food was amazing and we'd go back in a heartbeat. We ordered the fried zucchini, chicken parmigiano, and a sausage sandwich. The portions were good size and we both left with at least half our meal.”

“I come from an Italian family, am a long time chef myself and I cherish food greatly ! We ordered take out pizzas and they were delightful. Sauce was ripe, simple, sweet. So lovely that there are multiple cheese offerings. Adequate toppings for satisfaction. So grateful for a GF crust option AND we would love if you made your own GF crust ! It would be so much more soul nourishing.

“ALWAYS enjoy our visits/meals! However, it is one of the few local restaurants we take out of town guests because the prices are extremely high for some of the food items. $16 for 1 chili relleno is a bit much! Wait staff is ALWAYS pleasant, attentive and helpful!”
