“Just had the absolute pleasure of dining at La Casa Bronxville for the first time. Where do I start? It had been recommended to me by a couple of friends as a really unique, quality twist to the Mexican dining genre and were they ever correct. Started with the warm and friendly greeting and spacious well decored bar and dining areas. Once seated and presented with the menu - I was pleasantly suprised with the cool spin on some of the more traditional Mexican menu items (ex. Oyster soft tacos to die for - and I don't even like oysters but these were out of this world). The quality of the ingredients and food items are clearly a top priority for the management and the chef. The owner Spencer Pingle is very present and you feel it. He explained that the chips, guac and many other main items are freshly made in house daily - any wow the flavors pop!!! I can go on for quite a bit about this Westchester GEM but I will simply recommend that you go for this experience and see for yourself. Very reasonably priced for the impeccable food quality, portions and presentation. YES YES YES!!!!“

“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“
“All I can say is this was an excellent experience, A nice interactive experience in Nyack, if you are looking for something to do besides eating at a Restaurant. Naomi is an excellent instructor and Mr. T has fantastic recommendations for drinks. The bar is fully stocked with a variety of choices. The music was pleasant and the atmosphere was soothing. Great place for a date night, or an evening with the girls.“

“Wow. Great restaurant. While it was a bit pricey, the portions were very nice and the food was incredible. Don’t skip the arancini or homemade tiramisu. Alessandro was our waiter and the service was impecable. Thank you for a great night out!“

“Food was good. The service was not. Our waitress did not smile much. She was playing with her cell phone when I approached to the service desk with computer and other billing stuff. She name starts with a C.I observed how she treated other customers, she was not warm nor smile either. I told myself, it was not me.“

“We LOVO Boro6! It is out Friday night spot (but make sure you grab a reservation!). The staff are super friendly and always attentive. The food is always great — and the bread — I would just eat the bread and be happy! We need more places like this around Westchester! I hope they expand soon.“

“My boyfriend and I celebrated our 3-year anniversary at this restaurant, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors and taste of the dishes were absolutely delicious, leaving me wanting more with each bite. Not only that, but the service was impeccable. The manager, Tommy, and our waiter were incredibly attentive and treated us with such warmth and hospitality, making us feel incredibly welcome. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.“

“The food at this establishment was incredibly delicious, making it my second visit here. On our first visit, we didn't have a reservation, but the staff still accommodated us on a busy Saturday night. The food was exceptional. This time, we were seated in a better location, and the meatballs were outstanding! I enjoyed a Pom martini and the carbonara pasta, while my date savored the balsamic chicken, which was equally delightful. The top-tier customer service and dedication to patrons make this place worth visiting many more times!“

“Why aren’t more people talking about this place??!!!??My friends and I went tonight night for dinner and drinks because we saw they had the speakeasy and we love that vibe.We decided to sit at the bar. Immediately, the bartender, Steven/Stephen, starts telling us about the place and it’s rich history. He was so kind and helpful the whole night. He made sure he connected with us for a great experience. We ordered espresso martinis, because obviously. They were INCREDIBLE. You can get it with or without Baileys which was nice. We even got decaf espresso. The level of sweetness was just right. The foam was foaming. They were truly a treat. 10/10. I also ordered a Tiramisu martini which came with a lady finger on top. This was a little stronger but still nice and creamy with great foam. 9/10.The food was absolutely DIVINE. He told us the food is made fresh because they don’t have a freezer..?!?!!? Impressive if true. We started off with the Arancini because they are my religion. Mouthwatering. The rice was perfectly cooked. The crispy outside was amazing. The flavors melded together well. 10/10. I had the Spicy Rigs. It was made with homemade pasta…!!!!!!!!!! I am not a pasta girly but when it’s homemade…consider me a pasta girly. The sauce was smooth and creamy. The tomatoes really came through. I wish the Calabrian chilis poked through a little more for more of a spice. However, the flavors were still balanced. 9/10.The vibes were immaculate! We got there about 7. A DJ started playing music around 9:30. It turned into a club vibe which was shocking. The music was blaring so it did become hard to hear each other. The music was still good though. They do have HH Monday - Friday which seems like really great deals on drinks/food.I would 100000000% come back here and recommend it to anyone. I hope to try their sister restaurant soon, Hudson Prime Steakhouse, which is the only steakhouse in Irvington apparently!!!For me to live in Westchester all my life and to not have heard of this place before is crazy! It was so good.“

“My boyfriend loves red snapper so I am consistently seeking places that serve it - on the bone where possible. We just so happened to be in the area when I found it on the menu. Went once and now regularly drive an hour just to come here for the red snapper and Pollo al ajillo which is my favorite (huge garlic fan). I want to explore other items on the menu but I can't because I absolutely love that dish. The happy hour during the week is also fantastic, he drives and I indulge in mojitos, which is a huge win for me. The happy hour apps are great too! We've tried them all.“

“This is our new favorite place! Everything from the delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented food, to their staff, esp our amazing server Kley, to the welcoming new owners, Victoria & Joe, Taverna is definitely 5 stars ? ?!! 2 of the 3 pics were taken after we realized we forgot to take pics first bc after the delicious burrata appetizer, we couldn't wait to dig in to our crabcakes and chicken skewers! ?? Kley makes the best cosmos too! ??Love that they have entertainment too and so looking forward to Latin Dance Night!“

“Good place for "bar pizza". Tasty dough and great wood fired flavor. Burger and fries very good also. Menu tries to be a little fancy and should stick more to what makes the place special- burgers- pizza- onion soup - etc. Good atmosphere with comfortable seating and cozy bar feel. Bartenders personable and serve good drinks (nice pours).“
“This small tucked away location seems to be a big date night spot, or let me say first date night spot. I came to meet a friend here and was pretty amazed at how many ppl seemed to be on dates. The ambiance is very cool you would never expect this inside of an old train station. Food menu is limited for more of snacks which I think is perfect for this size place. Drinks were flowing and service was attentive and had recommendations if you need it.“

“Food was terrible. I didn’t enjoy the cheesesteak at all. So bad I almost ordered a second one as soon as I was done so no one else would have to suffer. If you can’t tell I’m kidding please order off the children’s menu. Pete’s has always had great food and still does. But don’t get the cheesesteak, those are for me.“

“Was visiting another store in the plaza and dropped in here for lunch. Wasn't busy so we were able to pick our seats. Nice drink menu and the margarita was large. The salsa tasted really fresh and had a little hint of spice to it. Loved the beef flautas. Service was friendly and fast. We also had a shot of coquito at the end that was delicious!“

“Our server was not interested in serving us to the level she should have. Normally the servers are very personable. Not this time. When you are asked if you want your martini served in a martini glass that's a problem. I asked for stuffed olives and was served plain. She corrected it later after I asked. I blame training on that. The manager was fantastic! Very attentive and personable. We have dined there many times and food is always terrific. It was nice to hear live music tonight. Please tell your servers NOT to stack plates. It's rude and disgusting. You're not a diner.“

“Had 6:45p reservation. After 15 minutes of waiting finally acknowledged by a server. Otherwise food was delicious. Spicey rigatoni, chilean sea bass, prime skirt steak, truffle fries, calamari and burrata were all delicious. Parking not enough. Thank goodness able to park by another business since they were closed on Sundays.Parking: See other comment“
“We had some time to kill before an event and this place showed us a great time. Their DJ was fantastic! He knew we weren't regulars and still made us welcome. The food was perfect, if I am drinking I need perfect wings and they hooked it up. All in all the staff was friendly and the space was great I would definitely go back to enjoy another night.“

“If there were more stars I would add them. This place still has what so many now lack. Care for their customers. Just celebrated my birthday here and to say they went the extra mile is an understatement. They decorated the food DELICIOUS and served quickly. The owner checked on us personally. This place is AMAZING. THANK YOU for making my birthday brunch go so smoothly.“
“Sabor Costeno is a restaurant whose delicious aromas can often entice neighbors during the warm summer months. I stopped by for the first time at the top of the year and my only regret is not having visited sooner. The restaurant is decorated with vibrant colors, artwork, and festive ornaments that create a timeless atmosphere. It feels like a Rockland County staple. The festive music elevates the mood without overwhelming the senses. Together, the design and atmosphere offer a relaxing dining experience that feels like being invited to a friend’s home.I kept things simple with my order and selected the number 1 specialty dish on the menu. This included white rice, lentils, plantain, chorizo (sausage), pork, and some steak as well. I also enjoyed a blackberry mora smoothie with milk. The smoothie is delicious but the meal is a delight. I enjoyed it so much I had a tough time putting my fork down!Sabor Costeno offers a family friendly gourmet dining experience that I’d highly recommend.“

“To make the experience a little fun you get a “ pass word “ sent to you the day of your reservation... a knock on the door, a door panel slides open and you say the magic word ! It starts the whole b experience! First blush as you walk in your imported to a different era with the wait staff in appropriate outfits and the walls and music surround you with that “ speakeasy “ feel! Our server, Karissa was spot on with her comfortable way she welcomed us and explained the specials. We shared some of the offerings since they listed some as half or full order and Brussel sprout sides was excellent. All in all we will go back for sure.“

“The food here is terrific, and after a long absence, we finally had an opportunity to have dinner there with friends. Since our table wasn't ready for a while, the bartender comped us with drinks while we waited, which was unexpected and gratifying - as well as a really nice thing to do!“

“Santiago was a great server, he knew the menu very well, he recommended almost everything on the menu to the point we let him chose our meals and it was all wonderful. Everything was great, the service, the food came out in a timely matter, there was water ready at the table to quench our thirst. For 4 people spent $200, that's with an appetizer 2 entrees. We had a kid who had fries and someone who had a soup special and buffalo wings (they ate before getting there). No cocktails, 4 sodas; that's gratuity included. Overall, the ambiance is great, right by the train, across from the waters, plenty of parking.“

“In town on business, and found this place on a Wednesday evening. Really enjoyed the visit. Had a rye old fashioned and the short rib tacos. Food, drink and service were great. Atmosphere was chill. Only criticism I would give is I think the music at the time didn’t fit the vibe. Just my opinion though. I will be back next time I’m in town.“

“My friends and I wanted to try something new, and we were not disappointed! The menu is creative, offering lots of great food options, and the drinks are perfect. But what sets this place apart from the rest is the service. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by a bartender named Yaneliss. She was kind, energetic, and very helpful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great service, great food, and a warm inviting atmosphere.“

“This place was amazingly fun. The only negative was the wait. We had 6pm Reservations, but did not get seated till an hour later. Due to prior guest arriving late. They made up for it with two rounds of free drinks, and a few free apps. Once we got seated, the chefs were super fun and the food was good. Will definitely be back.“

“Really great Food! Here are the details to help with your order: Apps-- Beef Short Rib Rolls: Delicous. Filled with a generous amount of meat. Very tender with a great sauce. Very rich and filling. Lobster Risotto: Delicous. Dense dish with tender pieces of lobster. Very rich and filling. French Onion Soup: Delicous soup with an amazing broth. Not salty at all and tastes home made vs other restaurants that use bouillon cubes. Perfectly browned gruyere cheese topping. Duck Dumplings: Delicous with a generous amount of tender minced duck meat. Crispy shell with a great sauce. Entrees: Grilled Filet Mignon: The best steak ever! (And we've had A LOT of steak) High quality meat, amazingly tender and cooked perfectly. The herbed bordelaise sauce is absolutely fantastic. Mashed potatoes are soft and creamy. Very good price for the size and quality of the steak. "Angry" Stuffed Shrimp: A good dish but not as stellar as other menu items. Good quality shrimp and cooked well. Shrimp weren't Angry which was a bit disappointing. Stuffing a bit mushy for our taste without a defined taste. Would have preferred more texture. This is personal preference. Other Notes: Crusty warm small rolls served with an herb butter. Great wine and beverage list. Good pour on the glass of wine. Many of the Apps we tried are very rich so order accordingly. Only ding...Restaurant is shockingly dark. We were the only ones in the dining room 6:30 on a Thursday night so we asked if they could turn up the lights a little which they did accommodate. Even then it was still dark. There are 2 areas. A long bar area that also has dining tables and a long dining room. They are separated by a wall which is mostly glass. I can see how this restaurant can be very noisy when full.“
