“The servers at Casa Ora are super friendly, focus on their customers and are very attentive. My server Freimar, took time to answer any questions that I had, pertaining to some of the items on the menu .She had such a wonderful personality and really made my dining there, all the more enjoyable. The food I ordered was well seasoned, I should know that, as I am a cooking school grad, and worked at Port Authority of NY and NJ ,four different facilities, in their kitchen and dining room/cafeterias for 20 years and six months. I am also a Veteran of the US ARMY,served for 17.5 years. I totally enjoyed the Pastelito,, The Brisket was most excellent, had a very nice flavor,.There was a mild garlic sauce that I put on it,made it taste even better. I just loved the sweet plantains, which came with sour cream I had a glass of Mongarda Brut Prosecco,, which was very good. I ordered a cup of Cappuccino, which was very good. I really enjoyed this meal and most definitely will return. I plan to bring a very special friend of my family, who is from Peru, the next time that I dine at that restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, I give them 5 stars and as far as Food Presentation, they get a 10 from me.......“
“The best I have eaten in a long time, since I got Covid I started to have new allergies and had to stop eating sushi. I took a risk and gave them my trust. Incredible, super attentive, good communication, the sushi was fresh. They took all my specifications into account and were very careful about cross contaminationThank you very much I will definitely order again“
“Cannot wait to go back!I had a pabellón arepa, a chicken empanada, a beef empanada and a passion fruit juice. The pabellón arepa was too good! I don’t really eat arepas (I’m a bad Venezuelan, oops) but I couldn’t resist because pabellón is my favorite. The shredded beef in this arepa was great, it wasn’t tough to eat and it was full of flavor. The empanada, which was actually a pastelito is made in the oven. I told the owner, Esteban, that they are pastelitos, not empanadas, he told me it’s easier for non-hispanics to have an idea of what the item on the menu is if described as an empanada which made sense to me.The chicken in the pastelito is shredded, these pastelitos are pretty darn tasty!I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef one but it was alright too. I’m definitely looking forward to more chicken “empanadas” haha. The passion fruit juice is always a fave for me because it reminds me of back home. Very refreshingI really enjoyed this little restaurant. They recently celebrated their first anniversary, I wish them many more ☺️The owner is super friendly, so Venezuelan. There is limited seating, only about 3 stools and a table by the window, which I guess is fun for people watching :pI love that they show some of their menu items on their Instagram, I hope they add more photos and videos. It’s always helpful for people who are trying food from another country for the first time to see photos.Oh! There is also a lady who makes custom cakes and cookies here, Sweethaze cakes but I did not try any of them. Very pretty cakes, you can check them out on InstagramVegetarian options: There is a vegan arepa on the menu.“
“In Venezuelan food they are the best, I have no doubt about that!! Excellent attention and service; It is an impeccable restaurant, the atmosphere is the best to go alone, as a couple, with friends or family. I would go as many times as I can!“
“Came by for an early dinner on a Saturday night. This place is a little outside the busy main Astoria area. The outside looks very minimalistic you wouldn't know it's Peruvian just passing by. From the drinks to the entree, everything was tasty and portioned well although slightly on the pricier side. One cocktail, fruit drink, arepa small dish, ceviche mixto, and entree came out to $100 after tip.“
“White maize has the best venezuelan food i’ve ever tasted !! Arepas are full of protein and food, Delicious !! the flavors will melt into your mouth. service is great and the waiters are very polite, i definitely recommend coming here !! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This is by far the best Venezuelan food I've tried outside of the country. The empanadas are out of this world, they're the best! Plus, the service is top-notch.Congratulations and keep up the excellent quality. I can't wait to return to NY to visit Chamolandia!“
“This place has really good food. The portions are small, however, and the prices are simply too large for the size of the arepas. Cheaper arepas are available in Brooklyn. Of course, the rent is cheaper in Brooklyn too. Again, the arepas themselves are great, they’re just a bit pricey.“
“El Toque Restaurant is a super hygienic place, its spaces are all organized, the bathroom is super clean and odor-free. The services are super friendly, respectful and kindness above all with VIP attention, they make you feel like family. Their empanadas and pastries are the best in the entire Westchester area, super delicious, with good seasoning in their fillings, they are super tasty. I recommend the place so don't miss visiting the place.??“
“Excellent place, the most delicious food in the world! Please order tequeños or cachapas, you won't regret it. In addition, the attention is 10/10, they are super attentive!!! Without a doubt one of my favorite places. 100% recommended!“
“As a Venezuelan-American, this place does me so proud! I just noticed this little gem during Hispanic Heritage month since they had balloons outside, and I don't know how I missed it before! I called my family immediately and that same week we made dinner reservations. The tequenos, arepas and cachapas are SO good and very authentic. I am so happy to have a little piece of my heart on Mamaroneck Ave, my hometown - FINALLY! The owners and staff are so lovely, they made us feel like family.I will be raving about this place to my family & friends until this place gets as busy as it deserves! Will be returning soon. Thank you, Marianna!Vegetarian options: Arepas with avocado, pico, cheese, beans and more!Dietary restrictions: All arepas are gluten free!“
“Excellent place with typical Venezuelan food, I recommend ordering “el budare mix” to taste various dishes in small portions. Tequeños make me feel at home / Excellent place with typical Venezuelan food, I recommend ordering “the budare mix” to taste various dishes in small portions. The tequeños make me feel at home.“
“Just as its name says, Santa Salsa is the one they offer you here, very good consistency, flavor and color in all their sauces.Very attentive in the service, always attentive and you can start a conversation with their workers without problem. As for the atmosphere of the place, it looks a little sloppy to be honest. I think that by wanting to give the establishment an underground touch, they crossed that line between cool and sloppy. The fact that there is only one bathroom for both genders and that the bathroom does not seem to be completely suitable for use is something that definitely caught my attention.Touching on the topic of food, I wholeheartedly recommend their dogs with all the sauces, they leave you speechless and the touches of fried cheese they add elevate them to 100.As for the nugget, in our experience, we added extra meat to the chicken nugget, and in our opinion the extra portion they gave was very little. We also ordered the one that came with black beans and it was more beans than protein, I don't recommend it. a lot.The tequeños, very regrettable when you go to a Venezuelan place and they offer tequeños is the first thing you go for, the tequeños of Santa Salsa look like tequeños from a box, from a supermarket, I don't recommend them very much.and without a doubt they offer you canned Polar, this adds points to them. It's a good place to hang out, but not the best.Thank you very much ??“
“The food is always great, always consistent. When I was ordering in person for the first time the cashier explained certain things on the menu. This was my first time being to a Venezuelan restaurant. It was clean and nice in there, not busy for an early Sunday afternoon. I like ordering from here whenever I'm in Dyckman, nice local spot & they're open late!“
“Patacon is venezuelan food. If you like to eat sweet plantains, this is the place. It's one of those fast food truck place-order to go only. I had a "yoyo" a choice of chicken, beef, or pork. I had the chicken. Basically it looks like a gyro instead of getting the pita bread, you get sweat plantains with lettuce and tomatoes. It was very tasty. You should look at their website for more details.“
“I dont eat meat but let me tell you their vegan option is delicious. Its a small little place and I wish they had space to dine in and spread out. Its very typical street food but Venezuelan style. It little pricer than expected but they give you a lot of food!“
“I have been getting this for years , food is amazing, staff is friendly and welcoming, you can always order a head saves you lots of wait time. They are organized and have a great system. I now travel from upper westchester down to NY to grab some great food from here.Parking: Hard to find a spot near the street, but can go around to find a spot.“
“Spotted by this place for lunch while returning from an estate sale on a rainy day and the restaurant was still packed. The service was impeccable, our server was so sweet and kind, despite dealing with hangry masses in a small space. We got the arepas tasting platter and the sweet corn pancakes. Both were delicious. The Reina arepas stood out with their avocado chicken filling. We also got the sugarcane lemon drink which was very refreshing. I will be returning here to try their all day Venezuelan brunch menu next!“
“I was craving cachapas and a friend recommended this place. Food was great, we ordered tequeños, cachapa and I forgot the name of the other plate, but it had fried yucca, meat and fried cheese. It was delicious. Service was a 10/10 they were amazing and we talked a bit about everything while waiting. Place was tiny, I honestly recommend doing take out, as most people do. We were the only ones there, but it was still quite small with 3 bistro tables with not so comfy stools. Great place though!Wheelchair accessibility: No“
“Carlos & the food is incredible! We placed an order through Postmates & one arepa was missing...even on the restaurant's receipt & in their system. When I called the restaurant to see if they could do anything about it, he was just as bummed & bamboozled as I was. He kindly informed me that we were about 4 blocks outside their delivery zone. We offered to order extra & pay to make it worth their while to deliver. He declined payment & said we didn't even have to give their personal delivery driver any money (who arrived on bicycle...in below freezing temperatures - which, of course, I refused to not pay for it & tip...he declined full payment & only charged for one of the items & I tipped extra). Even during these tough times where restaurants' only business is takeout & pickup, Carlos' kindness, generosity, & integrity (even when the error & burden were not his, willing to go above & beyond what they might have done had the error been on their end) will not go unnoticed. Also, the taradas & pabellon were super delicious!! This was our first order from them & they have certainly made customers for life!“
“A Great Family Environment, I felt at home. The waitress Maria Jose was very friendly and had a great sense of service, the cooks were very friendly and attentive to our orders as well. Dayana and Wendy thank you very much. It will always be a pleasure to return to this great place for authentic Venezuelan food.“
“Today we visited the place, excellent place, very good food. The Gensi boy was very attentive and helpful, his service was excellent, and the blonde cashier was very kind when charging us. My congratulations to the kitchen, everything was super delicious. I would definitely return ?“
“This place is hands-down, so good. Are usually get the Arepa with chicken and avocado and it is so delicious and so simple. I also usually get rice and beans and plantains and some empanadas. Everything is so delicious. You can tell that it's very authentic and it's very quick and easy to get. The service is very friendly and fast. I usually do take out from this place but they do have some seating, but it's very minimal.“
“I was lucky enough to stumble upon this gem earlier this week. I’ve had many arepas before, but never stuffed.. My husband and I tried 2 different types (I cannot remember which ones exactly but two of them had plantains in them…YUM). Each one was delicious! And so filling. The ones we tried all had chicken as we aren’t big red meat eaters, but these were sooo good that I just may have to try the skirt steak next time! The man that took my order and prepared our food was so pleasant, I regret not getting his name but trust me, I will be back! ? 10/10! Highly recommend if you enjoy good food!“
“Always enjoy the food. For this, I used to travel to the heights. Because of the location, I had doubts about the meal. I went there after giving it a try one day when I was feeling lethargic due to traffic. There is always a lot of cheese in palitos de queso. The cachapa and patacon are also excellent.“
