“I had the best stew peas I have ever had in my life! I have to go back and get my mom some.I had the pepper shrimp, it was extremely hot and flavorful. I had to immediately pull out my asthma pump. My chest was already tight, but as soon as I tasted the shrimp my chest closed up. I thought I was going to have to call the ambulance. It was scary!!!I will not put this on the restaurant. I have been eating seafood for 50 years and think I have recently developed a seafood allergy.“
“My opinion is 8.7/10. Is it the best Jamaican beef patty I've ever had? No but overall our place that makes handmade Jamaican beef patties with a good overall flavor I recommend it. Best thing definitely has to be the crust I just wish for $3 it was a little bit more meat / seasoning. Check out my in depth video reviews on any of the platforms below. “Shout out to the owner! I used the 'to good to go' app to order from their store and it was cancelled by the owner and I didn't get notified in time so I went anyway. They ended up not only refunded me but giving the food for free. Not only was he considerate but the food is great!Jerk chicken could be a little spicier but the seasoning is good and he added gravy so it wasn't dry. PLUS he gave me festival, which was delicious. Thanks man ?Actually rating is a 4.5 ✌️“
“I grew up eating Jamaican food and this is hands down the best Jamaican restaurant that I’ve been to in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“
“This place had some of the best jerk chicken I ever had in my life. I've gone back 3x times in the past month and they are not there anymore. Does anyone have an updated location for this jerk pit?Because now I'm sad...sad spelled backwards is das and das not good :/“
“I come here all the time. The food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming I never had any problems with them unlike some other places. Highly recommend! Try the ackee and salt fish or the corn beef and cabbage and thank me later ? The sweet chilli wings slap “
“I usually get jerk chicken there and patties. These are the ones I like to buy there. The other food are good too but, I have my preferences. Just jerk chicken, not the meal . Long time ago, I used to buy fish there but,it became too hot/ spicy for me to digest.“
“Anas has great customer service the food was prepared quickly. He even gave me a small sample off a few items on the menu to help make a decision on what I wanted. That alone satisfied me as a customer and would recommend him if your in the area. Food gets a 8/10“
“One of the BEST Jamaican spots in Little Caribbean Brooklyn. I stopped by to experience the smoky j*** chicken and it was delicious - part of the reason is that the meat (chicken and pork) is cooked on the outdoor grill. It is a must try to understand why! The lobster and conch is cooked to order, so you may want to call ahead to avoid waiting too long. I also ordered plantains and a festival - both done well, but be prepared for small servings of both sides. This vibrant place is more like a pick up and go, so don't come here expecting to dine in. The service is normally what you experience at most Caribbean spots - place your order, pay, wait and you're on your way. Nothing epic - you're here for the food! So, if you are in Brooklyn and interested in taking some Jamaican food to go, this is a great spot to try!“
“I’m very new to Caribbean food so take my 5 stars with a grain of salt but it was incredibly delicious J*** Chicken with plenty of seasonings and very tender, rice and peas which were very good, and mac and cheese. There were really generous portions and the staff was very kind.“
“Tasted the jerk pork and jerk chicken including the wings, the macaroni and cheese, Rasta pasta, potato salad, macaroni salad and oxtails all in one sit down and everything was absolutely amazing. My meal was only $39 including a sorrel and I would definitely be visiting again.“
“The food is great. It's always crowded and long checkout line. Weekends are lunch hours are worst. Atmosphere is not the best very mama and papa type Atmosphere. Service is decentVegetarian options: They are a few vegetables options, there is always 3/4 type of veggies options on the menu“
“Personally, you have to go there like an hour after they open because if you wait til late the food sits there and over cooks but get me wrong most of their is awesome and they give you kinda big portions - also the woman serving you ( so far all in seen is one ) is very nice and makes small talk with you. She also makes some of the drinks there which are amazing. One of my favorite being the homemade Ginger fruitpunch . ExcellentParking: Not so bad ... Very little wait if that“
“was around the area and tried this and fell in love .i recommend the jerk chicken and Mac and cheese . They also have a lot of different drinks .only bad thing is bad parking it’s in a busy area .Food - I gave it 4 stars because the first time I went it was perfect but I went again today and the plantains were very dry and hard .Service - nice peopleAtmosphere - they play music videos on a tv it’s calm .“
“For Thanksgiving dinner we ordered a large pan of j*** salmon and a pan of Rasta pasta. The pasta was amazing and the salmon was even better! They don’t serve you small pieces of salmon... they were meaty! And made for great leftovers. When I visit New York again, Island Choiz will definitely be a go to.“

“I'm always trying to find some hidden gem jamaica food spots in Brooklyn each time I visit and came across this restaurant. I took one look at the pics on google maps and I could tell it was authentic Jamaican food( if you're are Jamaican you know what I'm talking about). I most definitely wasn't disappointed, we certainly enjoyed the food. The Curry goat was tender, flavorful and well seasoned, the fried chicken slightly dry but still good though. Rice n peas was shelly and moist, which is a must. Also, they are very affordable and you'll get your money's worth. You can't beat the portion size for the price.“
“Delicious, clean, fresh and authentically Jamaican food served in a pleasant atmosphere with a courteous, pleasant and efficient staff. Orders may also be taken out. Rowe's Restaurant catered a very happy event for my family and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Folks had multiple helpings- also a testament to Rowe's generous servings. This restaurant is a wonderful find!“
“My sister told me about a restaurant she drove from Queens to visit, and we decided to go there for a meal. I ordered a large serving of gungo peas soup, along with oxtail and stew peas – some of my favorites! The two ladies who served us were very friendly and hospitable. The food was delightful, although I thought the rice and peas could have had a bit more coconut flavor. Overall, it was delicious and tasted just like home. Very satisfying experience!“
“Ordered mostly breakfast from this place many times and some lunch and dinner dishes. I am never disappointed by the food here. I especially love their liver and dumplings. The customer service is very good as well. I had an issue with my food and they were quick to offer an apology and a discount for next time. I will definitely be a customer for the foreseeable future.“
“Had this yesterday. Fried chicken with the sauce and rice. The flavors are bonkers! You haven't eaten fried Chicken until you've eaten Fried Chicken with the Sauce! I can eat the sauce by itself! No, really! You got to try this place!“
“The food was delicious and generous. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon, so it was very mellow and low-key. Our server Stephanie was very friendly and attentive. The music was very catchy and the overall atmosphere was very nice. Will definitely visit again“
