“Exceptional eatery! Diner style all the way. Had eggs and corned beef hash with potatoes. Grapefruit juice (tropicana) and took a cinnamon roll with me (the best). Hash was not crispy but LOVELY that way, eggs were done just right, over medium, the heavily buttered rye toast dipped provided excellent yolk dips. Potatoes were abundant, and had morsels of pepper and onion. Ketchup exploded on me a lil..(can't put the bottles in the fridge). However they were attentive and apologetic following the incident.
I made my return for a waffle, the way it had tantalized my nostrils on the previous visit was inspiring of such. Waffle with banana was perfect. Filling, fluffy, crispy, sweet and savory.
p.s. ask for the salsa verde :)

“Dishes packed with flavor and texture. My favorite was the Zorba, everything is high quality and balance of flavors. We got the blueberry pancake and it was fluffy and heavenly.

The ambiance of the place is perfect, with every detail thought through and music perfect to have as background noise. Loved it!“

“The menu looks great the write up about the food is promising. The problem I see is with your training of your staff. That falls on the management. The management is setting up their employees to fail. Train your staff, hold yourself accountable, you as a manager is to train your staff, to your standards and expectations. If you have staff members who will not or cannot meet your expectations of doing the job, if they cannot or will not follow instructions, you need to terminate them that includes family members. It sounds harsh, I know jobs are hard to get in the Philippines. That is more of a reason to train your employees to do the job to their best.“

“Good food for the right price! My fiancee and I came by on a saturday for brunch and it was perfect. Food came out fast, service was great, and the atmosphere was very chill. The french toast was so good, perfect flavor and texture the way it's meant to be. It's all that and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is warm, welcoming and treat every customer with the utmost respect. The restaurant itself is very clean, even before our current COVID situation. “Delicious local spot serving griddle cakes and sides. The griddle cakes are unique and a nice alternative to pancakes. They are crispy at the edges and soft in the middle. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly done and the hash brown was very crispy. The only downside is it’s very busy on weekends so your best bet may be to go during the week closer to lunchtime.“

There is never anyone at the register, and while I was waiting for my food, I witnessed several other people come in and tried to yell to the back to ask if anyone could come to the counter. I did not see anyone respond, so customers just picked up bags off the shelf and left.“

Is it possible maybe bc the old owners are quite bitter they had to close down due to them being caught for not selling kosher? Maybe. The food is excellent - last night we opted for the prix fixe menu with the floor show which consisted of an appetizer with three small bites including bruschetta, Korean fried chicken slider, and meatball lollipop - all excellent, chicken soup or caesar salad - both terrific, three main plate choices including steak frite and salmon which my wife and I shared - both outstanding, and chocolate cake or cheesecake for dessert - again, both top notch. We're still stuffed. You might say surprisingly good food for a "diner," but it's really a restaurant. The floor show was a USO style music revue by the Satin Dollz who are very talented. They have trios performing all over the US and really are fantastic - outstanding voices and very fun, so that was very enjoyable. The restaurant decor is reminisent of a fancy train carriage like the Orient Express, and the staff are all friendly and professional. It's located close to everything in Times Square so a great place to pop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Prices are better than others in Times Square but it's an expensive area in an expensive city so not cheap. Regardless, a nice place for a terrific meal. Highly recommended.“

Staff is friendly and very welcoming. I’m mostly there on Saturdays, and Catherine is always my server. Love her! “To all my Willy-B's(Williamsburg Neighbors) and anyone passing through...This place right here is the only original undisputed spot close by that I can call a real Diner and it's right here in the borderline of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. We walked from Metropolitan Ave and Meeker looking for this place. When we stepped inside, my son and I were very impressed. It has a very friendly atmosphere. The menu & it's large portions of freshly made food along with the wonderful service by Nazi(our server) was absolutely amazing. Our gratitude to the Chef as well. So exciting with it all that we forgot to take pictures :-D It may be a little pricey, but it's worth every single bite :-p We will definitely be back ... Next time for breakfast :-) This place deserves a 5 plus review rating“
