“Love the Flavors and the Novelty of This Gem! So Sad You're Closing for the Season in October! Don't know bout anyone else but I Eat Ice Cream All Year Long!”
“Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and there are plenty of options to keep them occupied on the deck. Staff & regulars don't seem to mind the extra noise. For some of us (empty nesters/grandparents), it's music.BTW, the wood-fired margherita pizza is awesome!”
“We live in N.J. and did a little family get away with my Daughter & her Fiance. My Family & I enjoyed our experience @Via Emilia . It was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to, All four of us enjoyed our meals. My husband is writing a more detailed review .”
“The food is very good. Bartenders have always had a high attention to detail. Randi especially have been very considerate of my needs. Every server I’ve had here has a high level of care. Some of the best food & service I’ve had a hotel”
“I had the Chicken Piccata. It was cooked perfectly & crispy. The sauce was light, but flavorful. Excellent service,in a pristine & clean atmosphere. The cheese cake was light and delicious. Looking forward to returning again sometime.Parking: Large open parking lot, right in front of restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in & open spaces to navagate.”
“Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.”
“Parking across street large lot. Chairs tables front of restaurant before you walk in. Bathroom to right as you walk in. Hostess to left. Get a seat closer to the bar area. Views are magical. Outside another dozen or more tables and a bar. So no need to worry about space. But as the season kicks in make a reservation. Prices are inexpensive for the shore. Food is excellent. Drinks prices reasonable. Good beer choices and mixed drinks.”
“A lot bigger inside than it looks from the out side and it is a wonderful location on the waterfront. The food was fantastic as well as our server. Thank you will be ”
“Made a quick stop here for Dinner. Food quality was excellent. Good portion sizes for entrees and appetizers. Service staff were friendly and quick to help with any questions. Place had a decent ambiance. Overall good experience with food and service.”
“Had the crème brule French toast and eggs Benedict at our Easter brunch and both were outstanding. The ladies of the wait staff worked so well together and made our visit a joy. My husband said that the eggs Benedict were as delicious as those he had at Commanders Palace in New Orleans years ago….complements to the chef!”
“We arrived at the restaurant around 7pm without reservations and were seated immediately (Thursday night in late April). The dining area faced the waterfront, looking clean and classic. Service was fast, courteous, professional and friendly, attentive without being smothering. We ordered bread which is made on site, warm and delicious; entrees included the Seafood Squid Ink Pasta and a glazed salmon and black bean risotto special. Both were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Portion size was good. Coffee was a little bitter; i usually take it black but found myself wishing for some sugar. Desserts were carrot cake and creme brulee which were ok. The small parking lot was full, but we found street parking. Prices were medium high, ok for a special evening out.”
“Insanely good Indian food. I love their vegetable biryani! Their prices are also reasonable and the service is excellent as well. I left well fed and feeling great. Highly recommend if you're in the area or just travelling by on 95.”
“We had a lovely time . Clara was amazing , explained the menu and drink options very sweet. Also very hygenic she left our table spotless after every round of food also very patient.. We where there for 1.5 hours. It happened to be happy hour, but the atmosphere was very laid back ,chill. The Pupusas are authentic the drinks are unique and tasty. All the food we ate was really good. It was a nice getaway from Boston. Really nice place. I felt classy for once! Ha”
“When Pigs Fly is a great breakfast location offering new breakfast specials every week and they have a Coffee Bar! Yup unlimited pour your own coffee buffet. Special pancakes and french toast are my go-to they bake the French toast breads in house and usually have seasonal flavors. Must try if you are in the area they also have a sister restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut named “Somewhere In Time cafe” if that's closer to your stay. Be prepared to wait in lines on the weekend. This place is very popular with the locals. But overall great breakfast”
“One of our favorite restaurants. Have been here upwards of 20 times or more and have never had a dish or cocktail we haven’t enjoyed. The best burger in town for sure and their sourdough is out of this world delicious. The menu changes often with a few staples so you’re never bored and can always try something new. Very fresh, always.Extremely talented team!”
“I loved this restaurant. It is a fun and lively environment. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the sea scallop risotto and the lamb chops as our main courses, they were both fantastic. For appetizers we got the ricotta bruschetta and white sauce mussels, also very good. The wait for our food was quite long but it was a busy night.”
“This place is a solid breakfast place. I was surprised they open at 5am. As I sat and ate my spicy omelette I saw numerous people come and go. Many I noticed were regulars and were greeted by 1st name. Meals came out fast.”
“Wedding photographer, Mystic local, and food lover here...Oyster Club is the best restaurant in Greater Mystic for sure. I've been with my wife for a few special occasions but have also photographed a wedding celebration here.Chef Renee and company know what they are doing. If you're anything like me, you'll love the uniqueness of everything Oyster Club has to offer, from the the dishes to The Treehouse. This is New England fine dining at its best.If you're in the area (and even if you're not; just make a reservation and plan a drive), you have to stop for a meal at Oyster Club!”
“Can only comment on a few items... Buttery smooth lattes with the Canyon Coffee they use. Great Chicken Salad sandwich! Really good Rotisserie Chicken and sides. Drip coffee is really good too. Egg sandwich is a tad bland, but solid. Staff is always really friendly.”
“Food is great with really reasonable prices. Portion size is awesome too. Really refreshing to find a restaurant with good food with good portions and that won't destroy your pocket. Hope this place never changes. The steak and cheese was enormous and the chicken sandwich was the size of my head. I have a giant head.”
“Really cute place. could feel the love. The wait does take a while so beware if bringing kids or if starving. I had a shrimp special and it was good and light. my husband has ate here before and adores this place. this time he got the Buffalo Mac and it was amazing. the garlic bread is good. the Tiramisu was really good. I got a little pasta dish, a cannoli, and carrot cake to go. the cannoli wasn't my favorite but it was my first cannoli so maybe I'm just not a fan. the pasta was simple and plain. but the carrot cake, absolutely try this.”
“When we decided to take a day trip to Mystic, Connecticut, I asked my Insta friend @mysticlocal for recommendations. Top of his list for breakfast was Sift Bakery, and rightly so. Gorgeous French pastries that taste as good as they look, and a beautiful interior. It was tough to choose, but eventually I picked this exquisite orange pistachio pastry. Pistachio financier with pistachio ganache, orange vanilla pastry cream and pistachio Bavarian. Heavenly ??This great pastry shop is the perfect way to start your day in Mystic. (You'll be walking a lot, so you'll probably burn off the calories ?)”
“Delicious!! What fun to have the happy team making salads to each of our wishes!! They were as joyful as we were to mix and toss and dress our creations!! The homemade soup also yummy!! We Sat on the benches overlooking the old swing bridge right nextdoor. A perfect lunch. :)Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free”
“My new favorite authentic Mexican place to go. I travel from westerly, RI for this delicious cuisine! I loved everything about the operation after visiting today! Great job”
“Nice, friendly local pub "where everybody knows your name." Try to stop here when I'm in the area. Nice selection of bottled and draft beer. Good food including some homemade desserts.”
“We came to mystic for a weekend trip with our 4 children. I googled places for breakfast and kitchen little came up. I am so thankful we went and checked it out, it is in such a beautiful spot, we walked down by the water while we waited 5 minutes for a big table, the food was delicious, everyone was so welcoming, staff was amazing! I already want to go back for the eggs Benedict. And from ages 13, to 1 all my kids ate. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area”
“Nice ambiance and music playing in the background welcomes you in. I was able to sit wherever I wanted. There was only 1 person here, besides me. I ordered their cranberry Vanilla Mule. Really tasty and the freaking libation I would recommend to anyone who likes vodka and lime. My drink came in a little can with a lime. Different take on a mule and worth trying. I ordered a Naruto Salmon roll and a Su Sa Tower. Great picks for someone that wants the protein vice fillers. I liked the candles that were lit in the background of the restaurant. Nice soft touch to make the experience even better. Fresh fish on the line and it tasted even better than it looked, which seems hard to achieve but they did it! Tuna Tower was hitting the right spot! Crunchy with the most delicious tuna and the sauce set it off. Great pairing of protein and sauce. Naruto Roll was crunchy and flavorful. Nicely plated as well. I greedily ate both appetizers and was full. Remember my reviews are based on Those that had a Bariatric surgery and can not eat a lot. Took me about 45 minutes to eat all of it and 1 drink. I definitely left happy and full. The waiter offer fried coconut ice cream. Jesus pray for me. I so wanted it but knew I couldn't eat all of it so I didn't get it. Maybe next time . Great spot for those that want a bite while waiting for their train too.”
“Went in to order takeaway and decided to have a drink at the bar. First off, how gorgeous the bar area is. They are ready for Easter that’s for sure. We waited about 15-20 min and our food was ready. Everyone was very polite, service was quick and the food delicious.”
“Great atmosphere on the grounds of Mitchell College. The ice cream is plentiful but a little one note in flavor. The service is prompt and courteous. Definitely a stop while in New London.”

“Love this place! Makes me wish I didn't live so far away! Lily has a great thing going here, and her staff were lovely to my friends and I while we were on the island. The sandwiches and baked goods we tried were all good, and the whitefish dip was addictive. I'm excited to return!”
