“I've been enjoying the grilled cheese sandwich with mozzarella and tomato nearly every day, except Saturdays when they're closed. It's consistently delicious, especially when paired with their refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice, which I simply can't get enough of. Also, another recommendation is if you come early enough you can enjoy the blueberry crepes they make early in the morning. Everything truly tastes delicious. Artur the owner is always there making sure all the food is fresh and service is top notch. Thank you :-)“
“Their cakes and eclairs are a true indulgence – generous portions at an excellent value. The quality of ingredients is exceptional, ensuring consistently fresh and delightful baked goods. The staff is unfailingly polite, and the array of sweets to choose from is simply vast. A truly enchanting place that I wholeheartedly recommend.“
“Lady Wong Pastry & Cakes offers a sweet escape! Clean seating though it’s tight. First-timers may need staff guidance due to extensive flavor choices. Seasonal flavors vary. Tried Baked Ube Rice Cake - tasty but tricky to cut. A delightful treat worth exploring.☺️“
“I came here to make a pilgrimage to this pastry bakery, which has been operated by a family for more than a century. It is a very authentic Italian dessert. Sorry, I made an appointment with a friend here to catch up with old times, but I ended up eating the cake without taking any photos while chatting...The three of us ordered New York cheesecake, tiramisu, and eclairs. Sorry for those who are reading this review, there are no photos of the food this time (I can only attach photos of people who have finished eating) and can only use the rest. Imaginative…“
“I love their bagels and it's my top choice and has been for years. But I've got to ask; what's with the need for food coloring? The egg bagels look like they could be called turmeric and the pumpernickel renamed Coal Tar. You already make the best. No one needs that part.“
“I went here on a Wednesday at 1:30pm and was able to get a seat at the bar. No wait. The blueberry pancakes and fried chicken sandwich were good, but definitely not the best I have had. In addition, the cappuccino was not well executed. It was good, but definitely not “waiting in line” worthy.Overall I don’t think it’s worth the hype.“
“Just found this place by walking by. Walked in because of the window display and line wrapping around the shop. Did not disappoint! I got the jelly donut and the chocolate cruller, both were amazing! I'd go as far as saying best I've ever had. Super fresh and soft. Even the jelly was so fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend. **CASH ONLY**“
“I got the Lemon Croffin and Colored Croissant, and the basic bread had an excellent texture - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Lemon Croffin was a perfect match, with the tangy lemon complementing the bread beautifully. It would be even better if they had indoor seating in addition to the patio. I'm looking forward to coming back when it's warmer outside. :)“
“I have recommend Crumbly to patients when they ask where to go after their appointment. Everything I have tried, I have loved so far. They are my go to place before I go into work.It makes it even better that they are so nice. I can keep going, everything just taste so good.I got a Fudge Brownie this morning ?“
“I bought a sandwich and some canele in ubereats. They gave me a written note for the missing canele(since they ran out of it), tell me to refund, and even added other pastries in bag for compensation…never seen a better service in my whole life, most importantly everything tasted AMAZING!!They had just earn themselves a new costumer, this made my day, thank you so much.“
“We love everything about this local shop. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the products are always fresh and delicious. This past week we ordered a custom birthday cake due to dietary restrictions and it was a hit. We can’t recommend this place enough.“
“We went here for the first time and had the most amazing experience. The espresso was great, pastries were phenomenal, and the owner made us feel right at home. 10/10 would highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area.“
“We could not be happier with how our event at Farm to People went. The space is cozy and warm, the food was amazing (with lots to choose from) and the staff was incredible. I was able to completely relax and enjoy myself at my event because I knew everything was well taken care of. I have not a single complaint!“
“Great little coffee shop. Delicious macchiato. Staff was friendly, and informative. They make all their syrups in house. Not a lot of seating. Music was great and not too loud. They have some delicious pastries. Coffee presentation was average, but the flavor was perfect.“
“All I can say is wow! I’ve been meaning to stop by here for a long time and I’m so glad I did. The chocolate chip cookie is without a doubt my new favorite in Manhattan, the brown butter brownie is perfectly chewy with a rich chocolate flavor, and the yuzu olive oil cake is the best olive oil cake I’ve literally ever had. The woman at the counter was so kind as well, and the area was so cute and cozy! Do yourself a favor and visit the Pastry Box next time you’re craving something sweet.“
“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need?“
“Lovely, compact Scandi bakery with a small market in the back with selection of Haribo licorice and more.We ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich, cardamom bun, and salmon focaccia. When I come back, I’m definitely going to order the breakfast sandwich with a perfect brioche bun and thick multi-herb green aioli/sauce as the bottom layer! This was the most memorable of the items. Salmon was generously applied to the focaccia along with thick chive cream cheese, but the flavor combination wasn’t quite as unique in the lox bagel capital of the world. The cardamom bun could benefit from, well, more cardamom. And I fully admit that I’m not being quite fair on this front after having tasted the cardamom buns at Juno Bakery in Copenhagen, which are laced with so much freshly ground cardamom throughout that the scent fills the surrounding neighborhood. If you’ve tasted these buns, Smor’s will underwhelm you, but they are definitely one of the best in NYC.“
“I went this place after work and hit the spot. We had a delicious hot chocolate like I have not tried anywhere else, super tasty and delicious.m, it doesn’t need more sugar. The maple cruller was delicious but the passion fruit was exotic delicious and unique ! The staff very friendly they make you feel at home ! I loved the place and I will definitely go back!“
“Mom and I visited Guria for the first time on a Saturday, late afternoon. The young man at the counter assured us he would answer any questions. We sat down in this bright, clean cafe and had some delicious Borscht, which Mom described as "tangy". There was a lady in the kitchen kneading dough and bringing out freshly baked Georgian breads. We had wonderful mushroom bread fresh from the oven! Mom had a large cup of foaming coffee which looked and smelled terrific, and we shared a piece of Georgian baklava which, unlike Greek baklava, has thick layers of pastry and is filled with walnuts and raisins--loved it! I will absolutely return to try Guria's "batons" of shoti (amazingly chewy Georgian bread) and the Lobiani (Georgian red bean bread). Dumplings can be ordered in advance. There were several varieties of soup and breads available for take-out. Thanks to the baklava, I was able to resist the tempting chocolate chip cookies displayed under a glass dome. I tremendously appreciated the patience and kindness of the young man who answered my questions and served us with a smile. I am so impressed with the hard-working lady, tirelessly baking in the kitchen. Thanks, Guria, for a lovely lunch!“
“I happened to be in Greenpoint on a weekday morning so I decided to add Radio Bakery to my list of places to stop by. There was no line, so I was in and out. There are a few counter seats by the window and some tables on the sidewalk outside for those who want to eat at the bakery. I was hoping to get their chocolate PB croissant, but they didn't have them that morning, so I ended up getting the double baked pistachio croissant and the earl grey morning bun. The pistachio croissant was very good - super flaky and crispy on the outside and not too sweet. I liked the whole pieces of pistachio on top. The early grey morning bun was also solid, and I really liked how strong the early grey flavor was. Overall this bakery is great, but I knocked off a star because this place is pricey, even for NYC ($8 for a croissant!). I also don't think it's worth waiting in line for on the weekends, so I'm glad I got to go during the weekday.“
“Russ an Daughters is one spot where you go for the finest things!!Awesome placeAwesome serviceWorth the price and time... An for some reason I always meet interesting people from here in New York or from around the country an even people from around the world ?“
“The sweet nuttiness of Comte & salty Jamon, nestled between a slim baguette, is the perfect bite to keep you going throughout the day.The food's only given a 4-star because we can't do halves, so, it should be a 4.5-stars. Also, everything should be warm, otherwise, the beauty of each bite can be lost in either the hardening that automatically happens once cooled and/or staleness that can set in. Hardness did happen, not staleness but we still wolfed everything down because it's THAT GOOD!The buttery richness of each pastry: The Danishes, our choices: Blackberry and Blueberry. The juiciness from the berries are still in tact once baked. The danishes are flaky largesses of divine greatness with French butter oozing from each layer! The Raisin aux Pain is JUST as pillowy and fruity with plump raisins. The Almond Croissants give slivered nutty satisfaction, with or without the infusion of chocolate. Our last bites of French delights was the Chorizo, Garlic, Parmesan, Carmelita Onion Bagels are as long as your forearm and every bit of savory, salty goodness!Overall, 4.5-stars & a MUST visit!“
“Came here to get a light snack for dessert and there are interesting sweets they have for display. I just wanted something conventional so I chose a chocolate fudge & peanut butter cake. Don't let the modest size of this slice if cake fool you, it filled me up proper, maybe because I had this after a meal but the cake itself was so tasty I had to endure finishing the rest of this because I did not want to waste this. Maybe this would have been best as a standalone snack but it was worth getting. I'll revisit again soon.“
“This is a store specializing in delicious mousse. My recommendation is the passion fruit flavor.Other flavors tend to be sweeter, but the passion fruit flavor is sweet and sour, and when eaten with other flavors, it brings out the goodness of the other flavors. The passion fruit flavor was the least I expected before I bought it, but now it's a must buy.Overall, the texture was good and it was like eating a mousse cake from a high-end restaurant. Considering that, I think it's a pretty cheap price.I've only purchased take-out items, but there is an eat-in area, and I feel like the customer base is mostly cute women. It was never crowded, giving the impression that it was a hidden gem of a sweets shop. It's in East Harlem, so I'm hesitant to go there, but I feel like Japanese tourists can walk up to East 100th without worrying. This is my favorite sweets specialty store.A mousse with a smooth texture.I especially recommend the passion fruit flavor. When eaten with other flavors, the other flavors stand out even more.“
“What a treat this place is! I was working a gig in the area for 5 days and I came here every morning!! I got the ham and cheese croissant the first day and I was hooked. MAN, is that thing GOOD!!! So yummy. I also tried the egg sandwich on focaccia, which was delicious. And I tried two of their cookies, I very highly recommend the triple chocolate. *chefs kiss*. I bought half a loaf of sourdough to take home as well. The only item I had that I didn't care for was the orange cream brioche. Everything else was a winner!“
“woke up with a craving for the perfect blueberry muffin and Rex delivered. super soft, fruit forward muffin with a perfectly crusted top, sprinkled with sugar. so so good. they also make a proper cappuccino and have great ambiance with pleasant music, nyt copies, and books to peruse. I will definitely be coming back for a lil Saturday morning outing one of these days.“
“I enjoyed the avocado toast, with two fried eggs (extra) (they don't do poached). Nothing fancy, nothing catchy. When it came out I prejudged and was thinking, oh hmm, this might not be good. But overall the avocado and the eggs were good enough for a 4⭐, and I think the two things that helped to push it over the edge to 5⭐ were the bread and the pickled peppers. In particular the pickled peppers added a little bit of sweetness and a little kick. Pleasant surprise.Matcha latte was reasonable and not remarkable -- lacking in latte art but slightly making up for it in portion. Also, could have been sifted/whisked some more because there were lumpy chunks at the bottom. Nevertheless I won't let this pull down the 5⭐ for food.~10am on a rainy Sunday morning but the place was almost full. And there was a robust pickup / delivery business.“
“I love love love this place and order burritos frequently from here as a weekend treat. However, my order is frequently wrong. I would definitely check your burrito before taking it away! I am lactose intolerant and get the veggie burrito with vegan cheese and maybe 25% of the time they give me a chorizo burrito with regular cheese. Today is one of those days ???. I should have checked! I would say that this place would be a nightmare if you have life threatening dietary restrictions.“
“We had ordered a baby shower cake. The base was a Jaffa cake with butter cream frosting. The cake was fantastic in the way it looked and the taste. The service was excellent. Ms. Marie is a talented artist. Would highly recommend this place!“
“Went here last January on a friend's recommendation, mostly just for the sake of trying. Asked the server which cookie was the best-seller, and they recommended the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie. It was huge! I was initially planning on eating only half of it take the rest home, but it was soon good that I finished it all without leaving the store! Would highly recommend!“
“A damn good burger! ? Seriously I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life and burgers happen to be my favorite food but this all American cheeseburger from @cake_burgers has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I mean from the top to the bottom the soft, perfectly toasted brioche bun, to the perfectly crisp and fresh lettuce and tomatoes and melty cheese, and their special burger sauce?! Whenever a restaurant has a special sauce I have to try it because I have high expectations and this one exceeded it. The grilled onions made it even better! The meat was perfectly cooked and so juicy. It was like my dream burger had finally come to fruition. I am also a big sweet potato fries lover and they make the PERFECT sweet potato fries, everything is balanced so nicely from seasoning to texture. It’s no surprise the chef has past experience working at Michelin star restaurants and even received compliments from THE Anthony Bourdain!!!! I can’t wait to come back and try their specialty cakes and other desserts! My new favorite burger joint ??Plus the owners are so sweet and kind and provide amazing service and fun and welcoming atmosphere!“
“I visited the establishment a week ago, came late and couldn’t enjoy my favorite Adjarian khachapuri, we were offered instead just warmed khachapuri, which was no worse than what I wanted. BUT I was disappointed by the fact that if you come an hour before closing, the only thing you can enjoy are leftovers and salads..In general, these are the things that I can say about salads. The salads tasted very disgusting (the ones I ordered), the usual vegetable salad was cut into huge cubes of bell peppers and cucumbers, and there weren’t any other ingredients; further, the taste of this salad was like metal, with the smell of old oil and the smell of stale onions, I was very amazed by this and I do not recommend eating their fresh salad in the evening if you are a harmful person like me. Next, I took mushroom salad, it tasted no worse than fresh salad; the taste of the salad was reminiscent of coconut, oddly enough, and also the taste of greasy oil, as if the mushrooms were fried in a ton of oil and there was no particular hurry to remove them from the stove after frying; I don’t recommend the mushroom salad. And so, I gave it four stars because it was nice and quiet, and the guys were quite nice to us.“
“Wow wow wow. Took the ride from Philly for these donuts for my birthday. Before I even got to eat the donuts, the owner who happens to be the sweetest person in the world, gave me pins for my bday! The donuts were mind boggling. The guava cheesecake donut is other worldly. The miso apple, raspberry currant, and salted caramel, were so amazing. Thank you so much!“
“A delicious cookie spot! I finally caved and tried one. It is tasty, crunchy and soft and chocolatey as a good cookie should be. Honestly, for the city and the size of it, the price is okay. I definitely enjoyed it and understand why it is so cherished. I enjoyed mine in the park.“
“This cafe is a lovely escape from the mean streets of the city. Wonderful desserts and beverages. However, it can be very crowded. That isn't a bad thing, you just need to be prepared for the crowds at certain times. We love going here and having tea and hot chocolate.“
“I went to the Crumbly Cafe & Bakery on Second Avenue this week for the first time. I ordered the feta and spinach bistro and it was one of the best baked goods I've had in a very long time. I was so impressed that I just placed an on-line order for 8 different items to try and can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. In addition, the wonderfully talented baker, Ms. Miriam and her lovely daughter, Mia, could not have been nicer and more welcoming. It will definitely be a favorite and am so glad of the new discovery!“
“The interior is very cute, but the space is too small for people to sit and eat coffee or bread.Personally, I recommend iced tiramisu latte because it is so delicious.Parking: There's a lot to say about this...After confirming that I could park for free inside the building, I went in and parked... but I couldn't enter the building itself, so I had to call someone when I went in, and when I went back to pick up my car, I had to call someone, but there was no response and there was no place to ask, so I had to drive directly into the basement. I walked down the street.“
“Delicious food. Great service. Unique atmosphere. The cookies are very thick, so if you like thin crispies, I would not tell you to come here. But, if you’re a thicc and gooey gal like me, you’re going to enjoy the two-chip-chocolate-chip cookie they serve. A bit on the expensive side, but it’s worth it.Dietary restrictions: If you’re allergic to peanuts, I wouldn’t eat here, bc it seems like they probably make everything with the same stuff they make their chocolate-walnut cookies, so bear that in mind if you have allergies to nuts.“
“Been here twice already and I'll be coming back! I love supporting small family owned shops but it's easy here because the desserts/pastries here are delicious. The desserts are Filipino-inspired which is not commonly seen in this area. I've tried their basque cheesecake, ube donut, and their Bicho bicho, along with the ube foam iced coffee. I'm not even a big fan of ube but that recommended ube donut was a pleasant surprise. I'll be back to try their croissants :-)“
“I moved to Williamsburg three years ago and I’ve gone to Butler nearly 400 times (I counted). I live near the Williamsburg location but have taken the ferry many times just to try the dumbo location as well. I always get a coffee or tea AND the breakfast sandwich which is why I keep coming back. It is delectable. No joke I’ve spent almost $10K eating here because it’s my comfort food. I do pick up, dine in and delivery. Always good.Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian and pescatarian options. For the breakfast sandwich which is my fave you can omit meat. However they really need to lower the price for adding avocado for those that omit bacon.“
“I came here with a friend after roaming around the neighborhood while we waited for our table at Evelina. We walked in and immediately were drawn to the great selection of pantry items they had (sucker for colorful labels as well). I’m not a big cook so it kind of inspired me to want to try some recipes just to incorporate some of the items we saw. After looking around for a bit we walked out and decided we definitely wanted to come by another time to check out the sandwiches, well that some time turned into a few hours later when we got hungry again and wrangled our other friend to come to the shop with us.While looking at the menu the guy behind the counter was super nice and asked what we were in the mood for, while we looked over the wide selection of sandwiches he gave me a taste of the buttermilk fried chicken in the Korean sauce they had and WOW it was soooo tasty and juicy. I ended up getting the Korean fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickled onions. My friends both got the friend whiting sandwich and they absolutely loved it.Call us creatures of habits but we ended up going back again the next day to try another sandwich because we were craving it so much! 1 whiting sandwich, 1 shrimp po boy and I got the chicken cutlet with Calabrian chili aioli and wow, someone needs to bottle that chili aioli and sell it!So happy to have such a nice neighborhood spot (just discovered it but I see they’ve been open since 2021) with such amazing customer service and great sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back and try more!“
“Just moved to the area and Charlotte Cafe was an incredible surprise. An authentic italian experience, with cornettos (croissants) the same as the one you would get in Bologna. The staff is very friendly and professional. It would be amazing if they added vegan cornettos as well.“
“Amazing maritozzi, arguably the best. Id love for the dough to have a bit of an orange zest flavor to it, regardless the cream they use is the perfect balance of bitter & sweet. The Coffee is even better. If you are looking for Italian sweets that aren't too sweet, this is the spot. Light and flavorful pastries“
“Friendly, cozy, comfy seating, and bright, this is my favorite coffeeshop in the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where folks say hello & most folks are regulars.Super tasty croissants, made fresh. The rocket fuel is my favorite treat-my-self drink. They make a great americano, too.“
“At first glance, you would think this shop is just a wholesaler, but to my surprise you can actually buy boxes too!! They have a wide array/variety of sweets and all of them looked heavenyl. The gentleman whowas running the place is extremely professional and helpful. He allowed me to sample 4-5 pieces of the sweet itself. I ended up buying 4 small boxes and 2 big boxes. Toally affordable priced as well! My favorite was definitely the “Mango barfi” which is a milk based sweet. I finally have a place i can go to for all my sweet needs! Especially since it is Ramadan and sweets are necessary for every iftaar.“
“We live in nearby Dobbs Ferry, we have came by a few times for special occasions (birthdays, valentines, etc) and have not been disappointed. I wasn’t sure if Gluten Free, Non-Dairy and Kosher would taste different, for their cakes you hardly notice any difference than one that is not those things. It’s not an inexpensive place as evident by their locations but you get an excellent product from them which makes them worth going to.“
“Great neighborhood bakery love the place love the vibe. The staff is super friendly. Everything freshly made every morning never get enough of almond croissants, chocolate babka , and etc.. Highly recommend this place. The owner is an incredible person!“
“I actually think the pastries are a bit hit and miss, but I’m clearly in the minority on that one. They also rarely heat up any of the display food (quiche, fritata, etc) much above wave-a-candle-in-its-general-direction temperature.BUT, sitting outside or in the backyard with a coffee and sandwich make this place a return spot. The breakfast sandwich is a delicious mess and the bread was phenomenal. Cappuccino was also fantastic (I’ve had much worse at dedicated coffee shops nearby)“
“I love coming here and patronizing this hyper local business. They are hardworking owners and really value their patrons and suggestions. They are into building relationships, and encourage staff be the same. Their PDQs are great (and the only place near me with them), and they have a selection of other tasty choices. They have cozy indoor seating, and cute outdoor space and are very toddler/kid friendly.“
“Such a cute small location. Big enough for purchase and take-out. Although…during winter season, you may have to wait in line outside. That’s a bummer. The cookies are so yummy and even though pricey; worth it. I was once told by a worker they don’t serve coffee as in the other locations, but recently went and for some reason decided to mention that it’s unfortunate they don’t sell coffee there and the worker that day stated they do and always had. Found that interesting.“
