“How have i never popped in here?!?? I am now and forever a regular!!! Couldn't decide on what to get, the choices were endless. The cakes are beautifully decorated and all look scrumptious! Big ones, mini ones, slices but I decided on a mini raspberry chocolate mouse cake and a walkin snack of coffee cake. I told my man Sebastian it was my first time in and he'd see me again, he hooked me up with some little tasty cookies (i forgot the name of) but YUM! If you're headed to a party or gathering or really just celebrating making it through a Tuesday, this is your spot! After a stop at new park for pizza it's the perfect dessert spot with Coffee bar and seating!!“

“Recently got a poke bowl with shrimp and spicy salmon, portions are pretty filling and a lot of selections to choose from to add into the bowl. The strawberry banana smoothie is my favorite, along with the bubble tea, mainly their mango milk tea and taro. There isn't much seating inside, mainly a take out spot I would assume. They brought out bread (including gluten free bread) with a dipping sauce of olive oil, garlic paste, and peppers that was incredible. We split the caviar topped tater tots, tuna crudo, broccoli (served over yogurt, so unique and one of the best veggie dishes we’ve ever had), and the limone pasta on a gf noodle (gf noodle made in house and my non-gf friend said it was amazing pasta even among non-gf. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy.The balance of flavors is just right. “Very authentic, homemade style Yemeni dishes with fresh ingredients and a variety of choices. The flavours are very close to the original Yemeni food. What I loved the most is the out of the clay oven bread with the hot dipping sauce, EXCEPTIONAL! “Hidden gem! I always see how packed the restaurant is at all times of the day and decided to try it out. The lattes we had were delicious! And the brunch special was superb! The chickpea curry had the perfect amount of spice. The seating area is rather small, so come in early for a seat. We had to sit at the shared seating couch - which is laptop free! “Pastries by Anne is one of our favorite shops in the neighborhood. You can count on Anne to always greet you with a smile and to have unique and inventive flavors available. I’m a huge fan of both the Thai iced tea cake and the Triple C. She’s also made cakes for our celebrations, which our guests devoured. We are so lucky to live close to such an incredible pastry shop and Anne herself is the absolute best!“

“Amazing breakfast sandwich. Chicken sausage was so good and flavorful, spicy mayo was perfect. Perfectly toasted brioche was the cherry on top. They have a full menu and specials like corn bread french toast and shrimp and grits, will try that next time. Cappuccino was really good. Few seats inside, handful of tables outside. Food was made to order and unexpectedly very quickly. We left and almost came back to get something to go for lunch. Staff went above and beyond to welcome us in... definitely recommend“

“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. “Really great sourdough baguette, I'm still thinking about it! I got the tahini spread and it went well with the baguette. My friend got the Mediterranean quiche which was vegetarian and had zucchini, feta, tomato, and onions. She loved it! They are very sweet even though we can in and out 30 mins before closing and they didn't have many other customers. It's a warm homely space and smells delicious!“

“Mom and I visited Guria for the first time on a Saturday, late afternoon. The young man at the counter assured us he would answer any questions. We sat down in this bright, clean cafe and had some delicious Borscht, which Mom described as "tangy". There was a lady in the kitchen kneading dough and bringing out freshly baked Georgian breads. We had wonderful mushroom bread fresh from the oven! Mom had a large cup of foaming coffee which looked and smelled terrific, and we shared a piece of Georgian baklava which, unlike Greek baklava, has thick layers of pastry and is filled with walnuts and raisins--loved it! I will absolutely return to try Guria's "batons" of shoti (amazingly chewy Georgian bread) and the Lobiani (Georgian red bean bread). Dumplings can be ordered in advance. There were several varieties of soup and breads available for take-out. Thanks to the baklava, I was able to resist the tempting chocolate chip cookies displayed under a glass dome. I tremendously appreciated the patience and kindness of the young man who answered my questions and served us with a smile. “I visited Hibiscus Cafe less than an hour before closing on a Sunday evening. The café was really busy, and everyone (including myself) was ordering complicated drinks. A few folks ordered things that required ingredients that were out, and something like that could throw anyone off their game at the end of their shift. However, the woman working was handling everything so smoothly and efficiently, and she was just plain awesome. My matcha latte was also delicious! I can’t wait to go back!“

“WINNER IS A WINNER. Wow guys, this place deserves more love! Only 18 reviews (?!) (at the time I'm writing this) shocking. Are the sandwiches teetering on $20? Yes. Are they worth it? 100%! Firstly, the sandwich is HUGE. I definitely could only eat half so if you want to come and split a sammy with someone that's a smart way to approach this menu. I ordered the midnight club (a somewhat different take on a cubano sandwich) fried pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mojo dojonnase and pickled jalapeños on a hoagie. I also opted to try one of their sauces, the ramp ranch as well as a hibiscus Arnold Palmer. So, let's break this sandwich down: - the hoagie itself is a beautiful, fresh piece of bread. Perfectly toasted and crispy exterior but fluffy, buttery and bouncey middle. They also throw a glaze on the top that's adds such a nice touch to the bread. - fried pork: think of a dark and deep fried mozzarella stick but without the cheese. This pork is tender and full of flavor. I absolutely love the breaded coating on this fry. It's crispy and crumbly and so so good. - love the ham & Swiss classic combo. The portions of everything it perfect for almost every bite - the dijonnase sauce on the bottom soaks into the bread just enough and really pairs well with all the other toppings - the pickled jalapeños are also a perfect addition of acidity and pop of spice The sauce is expensive at $5 but I'm so glad I got it. It was a special ranch and I'm happy that they basically provide a bowl of it for the price I also really liked my hibiscus Arnold Palmer. Extremely refreshing and a nice light lunch drink option. Just sweet enough. The space itself is gorgeous. I was not sure what to expect based on the minimal pics online but they have some bar/ counter seating at the front and a decent sized dining section in the back completel with sky lights and a shuffleboard (I think that's what it's called?) for night use I believe. I think they shift from cafe into a bar at night. As another review mentioned, you order at the front counter and the provide you with a table number and you can sit down and eat. The bartender was very helpful with me choosing my sandwich and was super friendly. One of the staff also saw that I wasn't able to finish the second half of my sandwich and came and brought me a box and I didn't even have to ask. This truly is a neighborhood gem and I will absolutely be back to try more items on their menu. 4.8/5“

The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. “The kimchi and pickled radish tasted just like in Korea, and the bulgogi rice bowl, teriyaki rice bowl, and soba noodles were very delicious. It was also surprising that there were more local customers than Korean customers. Korean food seems to have become more popular now. I really liked the smiles of the staff. I think I'll come here at least once every two days while I'm in Manhattan. Of course, if I lived here, I would want to come every day. Since there are only a few tables, it may be difficult for groups to visit, but they allow about 3 people to sit at each table and arrange about 3-5 tables. Basically, it is more like a take-out store. There were 6 of us, 3 at each table, and we ate well. Highly recommended“

“A wonderful and wide selection of pastries, tarts, muffins and sweats. I assume the assortment changes regularly but don’t expect a huge variety within a genre. All very yummy and wonderful for sharing if your palette is adventurous. I understand their savory and egg dishes are wonderful but I stayed with the sweets and a perfectly prepared cappuccino. The owner and the staff were a delight, patient and helpful. If you are near Vanderbilt and Dean, do pop in!“

“I came to this restaurant by chance, as I was searching for a kosher restaurant on the Lower East Side. I love lentil soup. As a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, I’ve always thought that my lentil soup was the best. I was wrong. Theirs is better.After the soup, I ordered the ravioli stuffed with artichokes. The artichokes were plentiful, and the ravioli was perfect. My friend ordered the lasagna. She couldn’t believe that it didn’t contain meat. It tasted like a traditional meat lasagna. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the lemon tiramisu. It contained a lovely citrus flavor and it was light and airy, and we ordered a 2nd one.Randi, the proprietor, owns the historic Blue Moon Hotel, which houses the restaurant. He gave us a tour of the hotel. The room had a terrace with a view of the whole city. There was a lot of memorabilia from the time that these were apartments. Randi is also an artist. His art adorns the walls of the restaurant.If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars.“

Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. “I visited the establishment a week ago, came late and couldn’t enjoy my favorite Adjarian khachapuri, we were offered instead just warmed khachapuri, which was no worse than what I wanted. BUT I was disappointed by the fact that if you come an hour before closing, the only thing you can enjoy are leftovers and salads..In general, these are the things that I can say about salads. The salads tasted very disgusting (the ones I ordered), the usual vegetable salad was cut into huge cubes of bell peppers and cucumbers, and there weren’t any other ingredients; further, the taste of this salad was like metal, with the smell of old oil and the smell of stale onions, I was very amazed by this and I do not recommend eating their fresh salad in the evening if you are a harmful person like me. Next, I took mushroom salad, it tasted no worse than fresh salad; the taste of the salad was reminiscent of coconut, oddly enough, and also the taste of greasy oil, as if the mushrooms were fried in a ton of oil and there was no particular hurry to remove them from the stove after frying; I don’t recommend the mushroom salad. “Parking: This Cafe is located in a residential area, so the parking is tough. There's only street parking available. This is more of a neighborhood place that people walk to, there's benches outside as well to sit and enjoy your purchases.“

“Was in NY for 9 days last year. My lodging was around the corner and found Frisson on Yelp. It's a funky little espresso heaven! I echo then multiply what other 5-star reviewers say about the staff, the coffee and the beautiful latte art. Once discovered it was an every morning destination. The best cappucino I've had in my life was at a neighborhood bodega in Rome for a few successive mornings several years ago and Frisson's is neck and neck. I'm returning to NYC next month for only three days and I look forward to being back in there for all 3.“
