“I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We ordered the Totchos (tater tot nachos) which were delicious and had drinks flowing. Nikki, another bartender, arrived before we left and she was also so wonderful. The vibes were amazing - a lot of 20 somethings there to watch sports games. We ended up staying way longer than intended and I'm planning to come back here frequently!“

The seasoning is perfect, the meat is super tender and moist, it just melts in your mouth, and we loved their homemade tortilla chips. It was our first time trying it. We started making bites with layers of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a piece of brisket w/their delicious sauce on top of their homemade tortilla chip, and to top it off, we would add a calbee hokkaido butter chip so both sides would be crunchy with savory gooey perfection in between. The food was so reasonably priced and delicious! I had the popcorn chicken bowl, 10/10! Other members who weren’t originally interested in eating actually decided to eat to after seeing my meal. Will definitely be back to play pool here again, and over all just to a place to hangout.“

After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! “O'Hanlon's is pub meets basement rec room meets one of the oddest cuts of locals you'll find in Manhattan. Probably best known for its soccer showing which draws in weekend crowds, you might be surprised to learn it also opens at 9am, apparently to cater to night shift workers like those at the firehouse across the street. Because of that, I can never quite tell if O'Hanlon's is weathering bumpy times (it isn't always the cleanest and sometimes is low on stock) or if that's simply the reality of being open nearly 24-hours a day. Either way, that weirdness and its rougher edges do lend it an odd kind of charm that's hard to replicate, which is made all the more charming by great staff who are often more than happy to chat when it's not crazy busy.Edit: In response to the reply from the owners, for me it'd be 5 stars probably if there was a bit more stock of bottles on the back bar. For bourbon for example, these days I don't see much besides Maker's but I remember there used to be a bit more variety? But if the strategy is to keep a simpler inventory, that's totally fair! Just have been surprised since it's a large bar“

“My husband and I stopped into Triona’s on our way to a show at Irving Plaza. We shared an order of wings and I seriously debated ordering a second order. They were delicious and the blue cheese was great. I had the philly cheese steak and my husband had the burger. We’re both keto so we asked for no bread or French fries. My philly was so flavorful and juicy. I’d ordered a $12 salad as a side and shortly after our server informed us that the chef would like to offer us side salads since we weren’t having fries. I thought it was really nice of them to do this, especially when they could have made more by having me purchase the salad. We’re not from the city, but I’d definitely go back if I’m ever in the area because those were some of the greatest wings I’ve had in a while!“
