“Im gluten and dairy free and this has been a god send. There are so many delicious options that I havent been able to try everything but I want to! The smoothies are some of my favorite with no added sugar which is amazing! Can't recommend it enough“
“Our first time here and we would definitely go back. There was so much on the menu we wanted to try. We ended up getting a bunch of small plates, all of which were excellent. My favorite, though, was the octopus. It was outstanding. The service was excellent as well.“
“Absolutely great. From the people, to the design, to the food; of course. We had not been before last night which was a shame as I guess we stick to our normal places too much. But from the moment we walked in, every staff member was a absolute delight.Scott our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We started with the REDD Wings. They are Thai Chili coated with sesame seeds and spring onions. They were perfectly cooked with an amazing crunch. We couldn't have been more happy with the perfect balance of sweet and heat, and the decadent flavor.Personally I was torn between two specials, and the classic steak on offer on the regular menu. The one special was basically a comfort food; the classic beer battered fish fry, which ultimately Scott recommended since it was a special that is only available during Lent. This choice was amazing. He was right in that it was a basic fish fry, but elevated. The fish was tender and flaky, with a perfect beer battered shell that had a great crunch. The fries were great and handcut with a pillowy softness to them, but the tartar sauce was absolutely killer. And while the fish fry was an absolute stand out on its own; that tartar sauce just pushed it to the stratosphere! Get this if you see it on their menu.My wife got the Wild Fluke with Clams. The presentation of the dish was amazing, with a creamy sauce, tender clams, a flaky fish, and a rice base that absolutely was creamy and delicate holding onto the sauce. She usually sticks to basics, but went off her beaten path, and she was glad she did.For drinks we tried a couple of their specialty ones. My wife had the spicy margarita which was amazingly complex, and not too spicy. But it is a back of the throat spice if that sort of thing bothers you. I had the Negroni which was great as well. I've found you can tell a bartenders skill based on how well blended their Negroni is, and this one was masterfully crafted. Before I get to the deserts, their desert spoons have what seem to be a dent in them. It's supposed to be there. It's a French Sauce/Desert spoon that is supposed to allow the sauce or glaze of a desert enter the spoon without having to tip it too far and lose your bite on the utensil. Also, you may notice a small fork with a thick tine on it. That's a desert/pastry fork. The thicker tine is meant to replace you having to use a knife to cut the cake or pastry. The more you know. For desert was the decadent chocolate cake for my wife. It was rich and creamy with a scoop of ice cream. Great stuff. I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was fantastic as well, with the same requisite scoop of ice cream. So, after all that, just to once again say, this restaurant and it's food and people are well worth the visit. If you haven't been due to sticking with your normal haunts, you owe it to yourself to try it. Or, if you just only do a nice yearly sit down for a special occasion, make it here. After my friends and family all raving about REDD, I just wish my wife and I had tried it sooner.“
“As a chef for a fine dining restaurant, I give Edibles Restaurant a 10/10. I have not been able to eat anywhere since before March 2022 since that was the last time I was off from work to go out for dinner. I am so thrilled that I was recommended this fine establishment with the most down to earth, kind, and most hospitable team members. I very much enjoyed the lobster ravioli and my friend enjoyed the flank steak. Thank you for this amazing experience and I look forward coming again and recommend all to check this place out!“
“This posh place stays busy, so just remember to make a reservation unless you want to eat at the bar! Now, everything I ordered was big and too much! Had leftovers for days!!! ?The ceiling is exposed, the cocktails are strong, and the menu is niche! Dimly lit, you can access this restaurant from outside or inside of Village Gate. And don't forget the food is delicious! My falafel was a bit overcooked, but hey... ??♀️“
“I have lived in Greece for over 10 yrs and never tried this place until last year.OMG now I can't get enough. Breakfast ,lunch and dinner are all wonderfully home made and delicious. Staff is very pleasant and efficient. It is now our go to restaurant.“
“Founders Café is a Rochester treasure. AMAZING food - everything on the menu is great, even if I tend to get the same thing most visits because I love their salads so much. But everything else - quiche, sandwiches, baked goods - are all phenomenal. Very friendly service and we're definitely always made to feel at home. Love it here.“
“We are always so welcomed and feel at home when we come here. This is our place to go after a long days work. The food is always solid. Amazing beer selection.. and best of all amazing service. Our Bartender Julie is so personable and real. We had the French dip tonight and it was amazing!! Wings great as always!!“
“World class beers & excellent food. The staff is well versed in the product, and the hand-made bar and tables are gorgeous.2024 Update. It's only gotten better.Dietary restrictions: Good options for vegetarian and vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible“
“The meal was excellent, the service was wonderful. The staff was very efficient and friendly. I enjoyed hearing the owner come out and describe how the meal was prepared. Overall an exceptional and enjoyable dining experience. A nice atmosphere.“
“The food here is really good! They have a limited menu, which allows their food to be delicious. They even have a vegetarian option, which I feel like you don't often see on limited menus. Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times without being over the top. The inside of the restaurant is nice and quiet...easy to have a conversation.“
“Always delicious food with great servers. We haven't had the opportunity to hear live music yet, but the patio is our favorite spot to dine when weather allows.Kid-friendliness: Great with kids. They have crayons and coloring books for great entertainment. Good kids menu.“
“First, the food took its sweet time getting to us and the meal timing was off. My guest received their meal 13 minutes prior to mine. The food is absolutely delicious and the service/hostess/waitress were extremely nice. I love the Lost Meatball Ragu pasta dish but it’s a bit pricey at $22.00. All in all, a great experience. Perhaps they can tune things up a bit and work on those price-points. 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Great food! Great music! The sound was on point! This little venue is so intimate. It just invites people in to have nothing but a good time. This thing you might be small but the bands they bring in are not! I recommend this place highly if you're looking to have a good time with some good music and some good people!“
“This place is nothing short of amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and the staff are top tier. I would highly recommend their smash burger (make it extra fancy), their latke frites, and any of their craft cocktails (though puttin' on the razz is my favorite!).“
“Fantastic!Cocktails, food, service and atmosphere are perfect. I highly recommend the deviled eggs as appetizers. My friend had the salmon and ate every last bite. I had the burger and cleaned my plate. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Also easy parking if their lot is full there is another lot right next door. Make reservations and enjoy!“
“It was apparent that the new owner Vickie wants to change the whole vibe and not for the better. She could care less about accomadting you with options & if you have any food allergies. I do not recommend Nosh, not the same restaurant and feel its a turn for the worst. One out of the four meals one was acceptable we had 12/14/2023.The waitress very sweet but felt she was as frustrated as we were. Vickie the owner made no effort to accommodate us and was almost rude.I will pass this along, is a small coummiity in Rochester. Any postive reviews you read are prior to Vickie taking over restuarant.“
“The Owl House is one of those places I expected to dislike, but came away pleasantly surprised. It's a converted house, redone in a somewhat arch and artsy manner, with Alice in Wonderland motifs all over the walls and old-style cutlery and furniture to match. The food is over-priced, like all food everywhere nowadays, and the dishes quirky. And yet I've always enjoyed the meals, and had a good time there. Maybe it's the music, or lack thereof. No overpowering rap, throbbing techno, or wall-to-wall Superbowl. Just a nice quiet attractive place to sit, thoughtfully prepared food, and pleasant and unobstrusive service. The last meal I had was some intricate sampling of differently seasoned potatoes, but each one was just delightful, and the atmosphere was just subliminal enough that I could delight in my date too. I've never had a bad time or a bad meal here--elsewhere, for sure, but not here. I'll be coming back, I'm sure.“
“I was in town for business and we went here for dinner. What can I say amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. And the service was great. Keep up the great work. I look forward to coming back when I’m back in town. Thanks for a great evening.“
“Asked them to accommodate a party of 20 people in a week and they did! Convenient location. Plentiful parking. Venue itself is lovely. More importantly the food is delicious and the service was phenomenal! I definitely recommend and will be back! I wish I could remember our servers' names because they were awesome. Get the Brussels sprouts dish! So yummy!“
“My lady truly loves the Rueben, we drive clear across town for it. The staff has to be some of the most welcoming, kindest and attentive people I ever had serve me. The restaurant itself is always white glove ready. I’m just a little hurt they won’t split the sandwich anymore cause my lady doesn’t eat the whole thing she loves to share the other half with me.❤️“
“I love the Daily Refresher. The cocktails are always excellent and the service is great. The charcuterie board is huge and is the best in the city. I do wish they had more food options/larger plates, but everything I have had there has been really good.“
“Excellent hidden gem within the Eastman museum complex. We didn't plan to have lunch while we visited the museum but after reading the eclectic menu for this restaurant we couldn't resist trying it and we weren't disappointed. Had a chicken sandwich that was a daily special along with their house chips and a pickled egg. All of the food was outstanding and full of flavor. Also had a stuffed cookie which was delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem.“
“We've been hearing great things about CRISP Rochester and it did not disappoint. Despite being a little busy, they handled us with ease and a smile. Food was creative and tasty. There are several options for both vegetarians and vegans. What's really nice is that these offerings aren't an afterthought, rather they are creative options even an omnivore like me can enjoy (my spouse is vegetarian/pescatarian). The pimento cheese appetizer was fantastic. As good as I've had when traveling the Deep South. Unfortunately they were out of the Shrimp & Grits entree we wanted to try, but what we ordered was just fantastic. Our only comments are the "for the table" section's items are more single serving sized than true sharing portions. Still amazing, though we might have ordered more in advance if we'd known. Finally, there was a nice selection of mocktails as well as traditional cocktails. Like the comment about vegan/vegetarian options being creative, it's nice to see creative mocktails instead of just virgin versions of the same tired drinks. We will definitely return. The patio was lovely and the food great.“
“The Hideaway was the perfect place to hold a private event for my sister's wedding shower. The professionalism and execution was flawless. The food was great with gluten free options and the attentive service heightened the overall experience. I highly recommend working with Max to host your next special event.“
“We found this café through my Seed Oil Scout app. We have come to Rochester for the eclipse and I just purchased the Seed Oil Scout app so I thought I would give it a try while we're traveling. This restaurant was recommended as a safe choice and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious! I got the Paleo salad with beef tenderloins. The beef was perfectly cooked, better than most steaks I've gotten. My husband got chicken Parmesan and loved it. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We are so glad that we canceled the reservation that we had over in the Finger Lakes and decided to just stay closer to the hotel. Excellent decision!“
“Went to the Brown Hound for Easter brunch with the family. I'll get right to the point, the food was incredible, the service was a fantastic and the atmosphere at the MAG was great. Went with 2 Adults and 3 kids and there were plenty of a selections for both breakfast and lunch fare, with the waffles being the standout. They simply were the best I've ever tasted. The wait staff was super attentive and made us feel right at home. Can't wait to go back, and we won't be waiting until next Easter :)“
“A wonderful experience from start to finish. Fantastic service, top notch cocktails, and everything that came out of the kitchen was wonderful. The pot roast was out of this world. Thanks to Drew and everyone at The Classic for a great evening. We will definitely be back!“
“Never thought I would be saying this, but…I’m darn near speechless. What a heavenly experience I had at Swan Dive!Pizza was the best I’ve ever had! EVER! It only took 45 minutes to come out, too! You’d think pizza of that quality would take DAYS to make!!!Give these mfs their doggone roses!!!!!!!!“
“A surprising delight! We stumbled upon CURE from a recommendation from another restaurant to grab a drink while waiting to possibly be seated. What a fortuitous event! The warm and charming atmosphere of this not-so-fancy French cafe and the endearing conversation with the lively hostess convinced us to stay and eat here instead. We were not disappointed and in fact, delighted and surprised with the excellent flavors of the three options we ordered.Upon being seated at a cozy table for two, I ordered a French 75 infused with their own carbonated tonics and my husband ordered their tasty non-alcoholic proprietary concoction that he thoroughly enjoyed. The menu is split into smaller sharing plates and larger shared plates. Since so many options enticed us, our waiter recommended three of our larger options and said they would be enough for the two of us for dinner. The roasted root veggie salad had us wishing for some fresh bread (made right next door at Flower City!) to sop up the remains of the flavorful dressing. The hot veggies layered on the arugula warmed them just enough without making them soggy. The Brussel Sprouts caught our eye and though we had expected crisp and crunchy, we enjoyed this soft, warmed and charred version - again, the dressing was bread-worthy! Our last was the most intriguing and unusual - duck breast in a crepe. We are always seeking unique ways to serve duck and thought this was a good one. Definitely! Two crepes were expertly wrapped, stuffed to the brim with shredded duck and an abundance of sautéed spinach, sitting in a tangy, semi-sweet, light sauce, begging to be spooned overtop. We eagerly complied and filled our bellies until the last bite.We left just enough room for a tasty sweet option to share for our final course aptly named ‘dessert french toast’ with crème fraiche and blueberry syrup soaking the fresh bread from the bakery next door.Thank you to the proprietor who stopped by our table to inquire about our experience and engage in a pleasant conversation about his restaurant entrepreneurship. (Thanks for dessert!)We highly recommend this lovely restaurant with its design-worthy, cozy atmosphere, intriguing light fixtures, generous proportions and delicious food. Don’t miss a visit to the restroom to see the walls full of ‘cures’ and a peak at the compact kitchen busily preparing your food!“
“Food was ok, wish it was a little spicy, but it's alright, the soup is the best, they have all the right Jamaican Soul food. I have visited about 5 times so far.. it's worth it, and reasonable for the price. You save money with them. Good people, good vibes.“
“Perfect meals, perfect service wonderful atmosphere! Had the burger, the cutlet, french onion, the simple salad, the gnocchi, the seared cod, and the cheesecake! And lots of cocktails. All were superb! Can’t wait to go back! What a gem!“
“My husband and I went last night and had a wonderful experience; the food was incredible and inspired me to write this review. The beef on weck, the vesper burger and the Moscow mule were absolute stars. I plan to tell everyone I know to stop by.“
“I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid. My parents house was nearby, and I’m so glad it was!My dad would rave about this place and it’s easy to see why. Outstanding food with a fair price. Every time I go, it’s consistently delicious and satisfying.I’m not sure about the review below me, but I can you first hand this small local diner mainstay is ANYTHING but average.Nice clean atmosphere, welcoming servers and staff and a wide variety for you to feast your eyes upon. What more could you possibly need?“
“A special thank you for providing a great space for our dads 75th birthday! He has been enjoying time at O’Loughlins for more than 50 years so there was no doubt we had to celebrate this milestone here! They were so accommodating, staff was friendly and helpful and the space for event was perfect! Highly recommend!“
“Best kept secret in Rochester! Best chicken parm I've ever had! Portion was so big I got two meals out of it. my daughter in law had chicken French, my son had the 4 corner pizza, and both raved about their food! We will definitely be back!“
“I was only in there one time, but I was treated very, very well. The woman that worked there said she had been working there for quite some time. She was an excellent conversationist. And I liked the fact that they have a separate smoking room. Because I don't smoke and I would not even be in there if they did smoke but the atmosphere was great. The people were great and the chicken wings were very, very good. I ought to know. I used to have my own restaurant called Ron's famous wings. And I won several awards for my chicken wings back in the day.So thank you everybody for being such a great host. And I will be back again 1 day.I only live walking distance from you“
“My husband and I had a great meal here for my birthday ! We ordered octopus starter, I had scallops and he had lamb lollipops. Everything was so delightfully fresh and delicious ! We overheard the owner say most of the seafood had come from Boston area just a day prior and you could definitely tell with how tender the scallops were ! The atmosphere has allure, great for an intimate meal and had a couple large parties so could host a larger party as well. There was plenty of parking. Josh was our waiter and said he was new but was attentive and helpful with menu recommendations. Prices are a bit on the higher end but dont let that deter you, the quality and great service makes it worth every penny! We will be back- wehad trouble not going back later in the week !“
