“I really wanted to love this place but it wasn't quite there.Pros: breads and dips are great. Highly recommend. Knocked it out of the park hereCons: our pasta was way over salted. Maybe it's a one off but it made it hard to enjoy. Atmosphere is ok. The place has good bones but the designer didn't get a number of things right (e.g. artwork doesn't quite work with the space, table and chairs could have been better selected, floor is an odd choice). It's still a decent atmosphere but they could do a lot more with their space if they had the right designer“
“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“
“A New York Institution IMHO. Amazing pizza, great beer, cool vibes, friendly & knowledgeable staff, to-go counter, seasonal outdoor area. Indoor seating may feel claustrophobic to some. They might make you a pizza no longer on the menu ?, 2/5 success rate.“
“Lovely little restaurant within walking distance of where we were staying. Service outstanding! Never felt rushed despite not having a reservation. The food was delicious. As with most restaurants these days, it’s a bit noisy but the music overhead was not overpowering. We will definitely return here when back in Brooklyn.“
“Lilia is our favorite restaurant in New York!! It is worth all the hype and more! Not only is the food fantastic, the service and management team is amazing as well! They have gone above and beyond for us! Anyone looking for an amazing experience, this is the place to go!“
“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“
“The best little Italian spot in bed stuy. The food is soooooo delicious. The staff and owner are super fun to talk to. It's super cozy inside and on the patio out back. And worth every penny.Favorites: oxtail ragu (of course), brown butter sage gnocchi, burrata, and tiramisu♥️.I've been coming here with my fam since it opened and it never disappoints.“
“I have been trying to find this style of pizza (fresh soft chewy but crispy dough) ever since I moved to nyc. So happy I found it ?the decor inside is simple but aesthetic. They have a small selection of beers including two local options. Staff were lovely.“
“Natalia our server was amazing , she provided her suggestions with wine options and they were great! She was very attentive and sweet , the place was very clean , food was great suggest the meatballs , Spaghetti Bottorga, Garganelli and Agnolotti.. Enjoy ❤️“
“Shoutout to Niya for holding down the entire second floor on her own. She made sure we had all of our bottomless drinks and anticipated our orders, while making sure all other tables were ok. Awesome experience I’m always happy comig to Ainsle for brunch.“
“This place is a pretty decently priced handmade pasta place. The texture of the pasta was a quite excellent al dente, which I enjoyed. The gnocchi was really soft and I liked the sauce that came with the Monday gnocchi special. The sausage pasta had a great texture but didn’t have much sausage and was a bit underflavored. The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. Arancini was pretty crunchy but not sure if worth the price.Cramped sitting area but we managed to find a table for 5. Overall, reasonable pricing, good pasta texture but flavor was lacking.“
“****Michael’s Of Brooklyn Restaurant****Hello, I am MR. BIG RED, and I want to share what a Great Night on The Town, I had last evening, with my friend, Scott Ruscillo. We dined/partied at Michael’s of Brooklyn Restaurant, and immediately were made to feel at home, as we were treated like Kings!!! The ambiance is very warm, classy, spacious, yet quite comfortable. The food is absolutely exquisite, scrumptious, delicious, course after course, dish after dish, with beautiful presentations. We started off with a Campari & Soda with Lemon, and a Bourbon Concoction from the Cocktail Menu. More Campari, and a Tangueray Negroni followed. Then Scotty and I sampled: The Chilled Crabmeat Cocktail & delightful Fried Calamari Appetizers. For the entrées, my Boy had a perfectly cooked Medium Rare Filet Mignon, with Asparagus. I chose The House Special, a melt-in-your-mouth Veal Chop Parmigiana, with a side of Spaghetti Bolognese. Two and a half hours into our meal, we made room for dessert. Scott had the largest Lobster Tail, stuffed with Whipped Creme and drizzled with Chocolate Ganache Sauce, that I’ve ever seen. He paired that with a Frangelico Coffee. I had an Assorted Sherbet dish with 5 Amazing flavors of Sherbet, and paired that with a Double Espresso and Romana Sambvca…...I purposely parked two blocks away, in Marine Park, Brooklyn, as I knew I would need a stroll after this tremendous dinner, and I have no problem walking City Streets around Midnight, even though I’m carrying a Louis Vuitton “Murse” clutch. My friends know what I bring to the party…..LoLoLoLoLoL.My dear friends, Matthew Mari, Esq. (Famous Defense Attorney), and Billionaire Businessman, Political Talk Show Host, John Catsimatidis and a whole host of politicians also dine here. As a former Finance Chairman of The New York Conservative Party, I can see why. Additionally, I understand that this is a favorite restaurant of Andrew Dice Clay’s and of Joe Piscopo’s, amongst a whole host of other celebrities. The Management; Chef, Kitchen Staff and Waitstaff are most Attentive, Amazing and Uber Professional. Michael, John and their Staff made our visit to Michael’s simply I N C R E D I B L E ! ! ! I highly recommend this establishment. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. Ask for Michael, and tell him MR. BIG RED from Table #1 at Park Side sent you….Bon Appétit, my friends!!! Thank you to all of the Great Folks at Michael’s for making our “Boy’s Night Out” a Spectacular one, across the board. We’ll be regulars!!!Kindest regards,MR. BIG RED.“
“No frills, no glam, just GOOD PIZZA. This is our absolute go to spot for pizza anywhere in there city. I am out in Queens and whenever me and my family want pizza, this is our go to place. We’ve had almost every type of slice at this point and none of them disappoint.“
“Our local pizza gem!Shrimp / Clam / Vodka / Funghi are the mvp slices. Picante also good if you like the heat.Tried the burger today which really hit the spot.Owner / Staff are very friendly. Pizza chefs care a lot about their craft, down to the last basil theyre garnishing with.“
“Adrienne's NYC is a culinary gem nestled in Broad Channel, Queens. It never fails to dazzle with food and gorgeous views of the water! The ambiance, decor, and service makes the experience unforgettable. I have had the pleasure of attending both dinners and events at Adrienne's Restaurant and it's consistently EXCELLENT EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.The menu is unique with melt in your mouth choices. One favorite: Bolognese with a rich sauce that transports you to Italy. And, save room for dessert because Colleen's cheesecake is legendary! The owners are on site and active in service. This is a true oasis so make reservations for a special occasion or an extraordinary meal; you will be satisfied from start to finish!“
“I love this truck because it's independent individuals making quality, fresh, craft food. I actually get a hot dog more often than a sausage hero, but both are very good. They allegedly use a Sabrett's (skinless) dog just like everyone else, but their dogs are far plumper than you find from most other places and they use a Martin's potato roll. And they're grilled, which I prefer to the boiled dogs from the other truck up the street. When I get a sausage hero (which I just got myself in the mood for), I get it topped with marinara sauce. There's only one negative to this truck. They shut down at around 3:30pm each day and I don't think they're ever there on Sundays or holidays. In my perfect world, they'd be there practically 24 hours a day, so if I had a craving at 11pm, I could get my dog or sausage hero. Like everybody else, they've raised prices - dogs are $4 and I think the hero sandwiches are now $12, but still well worth it.“
“What a great experience at Vetro. The staff is amazing. They are so polite and respectful. Special thanks to Teal at the front desk for finding a table for my wife and I so we could celebrate our wedding anniversary!! The place is spotless clean. Food was tasteful and yummy. We're definitely going back.“
“The menu is amazing, and the specials they are out of this world .....the chef will cook anything you want, the restaurant was very clean. the bartender Salvatore was professional and friendly ,very knowledge of mixology of any drinks ? that you want. I had excellent experience from management Nicholas and Joe to the Service, I recommend it 101%Vegetarian options: The chef cooks anything you want .“
“Personally, this spot is a 10/10 for several reasons. The personable owner is from Italy and knows how to provide great service and authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect for me: lowkey, dim but not too dark, nothing crazy or lavish just a homey, great dining experience. The butternut squash was to die for. Definitely going back!“
“Great Family operated restaurant and sports bar. NO Problems great service and cold drinks. Always a nice surprise last month there was a live D.J A Couple weeks later was a Jazz crew. Very relaxing and dont forget about the Deseret dishes.“
“This place was incredible…. Walked here from north Williamsburg and will be definitely be back. Had the Ragu and it was some of the best pasta I have ever had. It was so perfectly Al Dente and fresh. The chicken Milanese was probably our favorite dish but everything was amazing. We came with a vegetarian and a vegan and everyone left very satisfied! The drinks are also great.“
“I highly recommend eating here!! The food is Amazing!! The Service is always on Spot!! They are always friendly and helpful. You never have to wait to call your server, there always on top of it!! The atmosphere here is so pleasant. So in all you MUST try Filomena's you will not be disappointed!!!!“
“We are Italians and rarely (if ever) go out to eat Italian food in NYC, as we have been bitterly disappointed several times in the past. Last night, however, we decided to try Il Passatore, and we are so happy we did! The food is absolutely delicious, truly authentic Italian food with all the right flavors and ingredients, and not one single thing to criticize. We tried several appetizers - artichokes, crocchette, burrata (unbelievably good!) – and “primi piatti”, including the strozzapreti with porcini mushrooms and salsiccia and one of their specials, tagliatelle with wyagu beef ragu. Every single dish was delicious, the homemade pasta was cooked to perfection, not too soft or too crunchy, and we found the strozzapreti with their balance of different flavors and the perfect texture of the pasta truly superb. The lemon gelato, which too often tastes like dish soap, was excellent as well, and the wine (a Rosato della casa) was really enjoyable. The staff is fantastic, they were taking good care of us giving suggestions as to what we should try, always with a smile on their faces. Overall the atmosphere was great: warm, welcoming and relaxed. We had a wonderful experience, we are definitely going back... tonight!! :)“
“As a Queens local, I think the thing that impressed me the most was the variety of fresh ingredients at a reasonable cost. Their cocktails are amazing. We ordered a tuna tartar special, salad, gorgonzola gnocchi, and their famous pressed veal parmagiana. 2 drinks for each of us and a slice of their pistachio tiramisu. We were so impressed by the staff, asking our names, our allergies, etc. Our waitress Isabella was so warm and helpful with any questions we had. We truly truly were so impressed. We can't wait to return. This place is a must try.Vegetarian options: They would be able to accommodateDietary restrictions: They asked ahead of time for any allergies.Parking: Compliment valet. Appears we showed up before the rush and parked on the street at the meter.Kid-friendliness: Children were dining at other tables. Staff brought over booster seats as necessary.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to enter. They would be happy to accommodate anyone I'm sure.“
“Mystical Flavor of Food and Mystique of the Restaurant Site/EnvironsWe discovered a mixture of ages at each table but all present a refreshing youthfulness, no matter the age, children, middle aged, older.Immerse in the geography of the restaurant interior: eight bar stools which catch/attract mini families and the only one diner alone present this weekend evening; notice seemingly small tables that seat three to four or a bit more lined up and placed conveniently and refreshingly geometrical. Efficient wait persons, each carefully focused on her/his task, stand out, for example, service at a corner table of five, one stalwart, well postured waitress arrayed in perfectly taut jeans connected to all her stable motion that shows her steady, stable stance, bringing out the best of the jeans and the jeans bringing out the best of holistic her. Men servers, also efficient, are the majority; one of the two women servers as described above focuses facially and geometrically perfectly both in motion and also while not moving.Lighting at our table at first seemed dim (bulb above was out it seems) but later seemed to get lighter and was fine. Overall the light from entrance to kitchen at the other end horizontally maintains its motion.Food conveys an holistic Italian feel. Delicious looking and especial tasting appetizers grab and hold diners' attention, panelle for example and also fried zucchini blossoms, as tasty as the sound of their name. Gaze at and savor Leonard Street pizza (cool name), replete with pistachio pesto, zucchini, heirloom tomato, flor di latter, chillies, lemon, burrata, basil, so many pizza parts flowing smoothly together. The pasta rigatoni jealously views its glowing pizza competitor. The restaurant's motion and taste work together and reach all diners present, as evident from their peaceful, satisfied visages.Visit again and again to continue to delve into and continue delicately to probe Pecoraro Latteria's forever mystique..“
“Food was very delicious and would reccomend. I ate a pepperoni pizza with basil and the Caesar salad, and I have also heard the calamari is very good although I did not get it. The service was normally good, although we did have to wait for water refills for a sizable amount of time. The atmosphere was very loud and since I have hearing aids, the seating was not very friendly but the food and service more than enough to make my review go back to 5 stars.“
“A small group of co-workers enjoyed dinner there for the holidays and it was simply wonderful! The food is outstanding and can be prepared to your particular specifications if requested. Staff is courteous, accommodating, and so pleasant! Everyone in our group had drinks, appetizers, entrees plus dessert, and we were already saying we NEED to make plans to return soon, just chatting outside the restaurant after dinner! It was my first time at Dolce Vita and I've already recommended it to a number of friends. The single negative is that it's hard to find parking, but it's so worth the effort, as well as the trip from another neighborhood!“
“Where to even begin? I guess with a, go to Joe’s, you won’t regret it.My wife and I have been coming to Joe’s since we first moved back to Ridgewood - 3 years ago and it has become our go to spot for date night and celebrations. The staff is incredible and the food is perfection! I we have tried the entire menu multiple times over and have no critique, there is something for everyone! Check em out, you won’t regret it!“
“This place is ridiculous , one of the best chicken parm heroes I ever had , what stands out more then anything is their quality of ingredients , very clear they’re hauling the good stuff and you can taste it , never knew this place was there but holy smokes I’ll be back often , staff also was super friendly, sick “
“Although it's cash only and on the pricey side, it is worth every penny. Food it delicious, staff remembers you even if you haven't been there for awhile. My wife went in recently, although it was early and they weren't ready to do baked clams, they did it for her.We love their mixed fresh seafood. But their pizza is second to none. Their pizza in our opinion is NY BEST. Any topping you want, they have. You'll eat every bit, not even the crust is left over, in fact you work your way to the crust and that's the finishing point. That leaves you completely satisfied and filled.Love this place!!!I'll update with pictures next visit so you can visualize how delicious their food is.“
“My family and I went there to celebrate my husband’s and my birthday. We were treated like royalty, the service, food and lovely atmosphere couldn’t be better! This restaurant truly lives up to its name! We look forward our next visit!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“We haven’t been to Lenny’s in a few years and decided to go for dinner on a Thursday night. The food was just as good as I remembered it. The fried calamari was great. My son devoured the mozzarella sticks. My husband got the linguini alfredo with breaded chicken and I got the penne ala vodka with grilled chicken. The portions were huge, we could have definitely shared. But the food really was fantastic.“
“Great food at a small local place with ambiance... if you can get a reservation. They change their menu seasonally... Their wood fired pizza -smoked mozzarella, figs, prosciutto, arugula, pecorino, balsamic is amazing! So is the octopus//lemon & squid ink bean puree..pistachio gremolata..pickled chiles & red onions..celery! They should have cushions available for their metal chairs for those with back issues.“
“Fly me to the Moon (or Velmas)! My boyfriend and I are huge Gordo's fans! Velma is the Italian pizzeria sister restaurant. And even closer to home. We went before a show and were more than excited to hear that it was Sinatra Night! Hell yeah. I love Frank Sinatra. What a perfect date night. The band also played songs from Elvis Costello and the Carpenters. I noticed some older gentleman came to watch them. He drove to the show and ordered a hefty size of creamy pasta. This guy is my hero. We ordered the calamari to start. And Nick had a Birra Morreti and I had the "Diesel" cocktail that had the perfect amaro mix! The cocktail was balanced with sweet, strong and still remained smooth. The mushroom "Funghi" pizza was banging. I loved seeing the whole mushrooms on top. And the pesto marries well with the flavors. We devoured our decadent date night meal while time traveling to a different era with the tunes. Highly recommend having an intimate dinner here or get a little group going. The best was leftover pizza for breakfast!“
“- Scalino GP is an absolute gem in the heart of NYC, and I can't sing their praises enough.- The star of the show, without a doubt, is their rigatoni. It's not just pasta; it's a culinary masterpiece. The texture is perfect, and the sauce is a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. It's a dish that keeps you coming back for more, and I find myself craving it frequently.- Vanessa, a member of the restaurant's staff, is the embodiment of excellent service. Her warmth and attentiveness elevate the dining experience. She's not just a server; she's a true ambassador of hospitality.- If you're in NYC and craving authentic Italian cuisine, Scalino GP should be your go-to spot. The combination of outstanding food and impeccable service makes it a standout in the city's culinary scene. I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“
“My husband and I were walking around and found out about this pizzeria. It’s just perfect! My paladar was literally exploding with the appetizer “corn ribs with a pesto sauce”. I got a “Pera & Coppa” pizza that was INSANE, I never had a flavor with combined so well savory, spice, and sweet on the same bite!! You don’t know how much you need to try this place, so just go ?“
“My neighborhood pizzeria and absolute favorite! I love the different options to choose from. I have too many of their different types as a favorite of mine, original, Margherita, chicken tomato, taco slice and many others. Their grandma slice is my mom’s favorite. I grew up getting treat with their eggplant rolls in Thursdays when my mom was a lunch lady at Our Lady of Hope. I used to split it with my best friend. Great food, great memories, still as delicious as ever!Wheelchair accessibility: My dad used to come in here with his mobility scooter. He said the waitresses would help him in and get him setup and he’d go there several times. He found them very kind and helpful.“
“Update: ive had 1000 vodka pizzas and penne a la karens since my last review - still delicious. Tried the chicken marsala - YUM. Picture doesn't do it justice imo. I also tried the lasagna and I didn't love it I thought it just needed something more. Overall still obsessed with this place!!!“
“Great family feeling. Delicious food...owner???.Had my birthday dinner tonight....can't wait to go back!!!!Kid-friendliness: My 7 year old granddaughter Abigail loves it there. She can practice the two words she knows in Italian... Ciao Bella and loves the food“
“An insanely delicious sausage sandwich. Fresh bread and juicy and hot Italian sausage, topped off with peppers, BBQ sauce and ketchup.Definitely give these guys a chance for lunch if you're in the area; they're super kind and have perfected the classic after so many years in the business.“
“I work fairly close to this deli and never knew they were a crowd favorite! I decided to order ahead over the phone since my lunch break tends to zoom by. I figured my sandwich be ready when I got there but I had no idea where to go to ask or checkout The sandwich did not disappoint! I am a sucker for anything burrata and balsamic glaze.. this hit the spot!“
“I was a solo female diner greeted immediately and warmly by female bartender (always appreciate that!!). Nice music vibes and perfect sound level. Bartender very attentive asking how I was doing and if I needed anything (always appreciate that too!). My third time here and each time has been excellent. Focaccia bread with rosemary with a side dish of olive oil was perfect. Cod Bacala with tomato, potatoes olives was divine (and only $22. I thought it would be "tapas" style but it was entre size). The wine pour is generous and the ambience very chill. I really love this place.“
“I have to say AMAZING There are not many true Italian pizzeria is left in New York anymore. This is a testament of old Brooklyn, amazing pizza great crunch not too thin great amount of cheese, fresh ingredients, prosciutto slice is amazing, some of the best garlic knots I've had in a long time, airy filled with flavor. whenever I'm in the area I stop by because it's rare to come across a pizza joint like this nowadays.“
“Gio's has become one of my favorite restaurants to dine. Not only is the food delicious but the staff is truly the best, so friendly and accommodating. My husband and I have dined here 3 times (twice bringing friends). We look forward to bringing more people with us that haven't experienced it yet. My go to dish is the Veal Sorrentino, I can't get enough of it. It really is “the best in the city”. Last night we also had the Bolognese, it was perfect and the stuffed artichoke. Sop up the sauce with their delicious bread. Great cocktails and wine too. Everything we had has been amazing and flavorful. Kudos to Deena (hope I spelled correctly). She's a gem!!“
“I come back again and again for their severini sandwich. The focaccia is perfectly toasted and the sandwich’s innards are delightfully-balanced with sweet and savory elements (and a little kick). Their new space is great, too! So charming. Can’t get enough of their covered backyard area.“
“We recently moved to Lynbrook and Gallery Four is one of our favorite restaurants for take-out. We order frequently. Our meal comes with salad and bread. Their food is delicious, fresh, and affordable. We have ordered chicken francese, lasagna, chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and garlic knots. Will continue ordering from them and trying new meals. ?“
“Dinner tonight was excellent! Staff is amazing everyone is friendly, helpful and hardworking. We found this gem in January and we have been back 3 times since then and we couldn't find anything wrong with this restaurant. Great staff, great and plentiful food. Don't miss out!“
“Came here for a Christmas party last year. The food and service was great! I would definitely return with my family to try some of their other menu items. The only problem I had wouldn't apply to anyone else coming here, but for the Christmas party, the inclusion of a written menu with a description of each dish would have been helpful to both the waiter and everyone dining. Instead, the server had to individually ask every single person at each table if they wanted 1 of 3 options as their dish and he did so pretty quickly. Many people didn't understand what the options were upon his first recall and needed him to repeat it. I think the poor waiter said "Chicken Francese" 100 times in 5 minutes.“
“Didnt want to cook today, decided to try this spot out for a family of 4. Glad we did - this will definitely be our go to moving forward. We ordered on SeamLess called to confirm the order and everything was exactly how we ordered. Deciding next time we will visit our neighborhood location to check out the atmosphere ?Great Food! Great Service! Pleasant Customer Service“
“I have been an Elegante customer for years. Always great food and great service. However, they have truly outdone themselves with this pesto pizza. This pizza is fantastic and possibly the best pizza I've ever had hands down. Please leave it on the menu, not just for St. Patty's Day!!“
