“This place is tightly packed with tables and quite popular even during weeknights, so we wish we had a reservation for our group of 5. They have a kids menu, which is rare in NYC, and the portions were substantial for both kid and adult plates. I thought the two fish dishes we got (salmon encrusted with mustard and pistachios and a whole halibut) were both prepared excellently though the sides of broccoli and spinach were overcooked and not flavorful. My favorite part of the meal was their outstanding, homemade Napoleon. Service was great. Definitely will return!“
“Nice ambiance. Good service and delicious food. The servings are on the small side and the entrees do not come with pasta or sides. All sides are at an additional cost. My only negative was that the waiter was advised a few times that we were celebrating a birthday but when the dessert was served, they did not light a candle or acknowledge the birthday so that was a bit disappointing.“

“I came with my girlfriends for brunch for a belated birthday. We started off with unlimited mimosas. I had four glass and was tapped out. The waiter knew it was my birthday and he kept making sure my glass was full at all times. I had the poach eggs. My friend had the omelette and my other friend has the dish with the amazing bread. They both order hanger steak on the side and it was cook to perfection. I had a wonderful time and I truly recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed in the food nor the atmosphere. Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. “The food was spectacular. Our server, hostess, barmaid and valet were truly the best. They all deserve to be recognized on great customer service. The hostess came to our table well after we paid and asked us politely if we wouldn't mind moving to the bar. I understood the reasoning for this completely. The manner in which this was done was very professional. I know there are people that have a problem with this. We are not one of those. It's all in the way it is handled which was very professional. We did go to the bar and the staff was kind enough to offer us a drink for understanding. We were pleasantly surprised by this and very grateful. We appreciated the parking instructions sent by the restaurant. It made it so much easier knowing in advance what to expect. We made a long trip from Long Island and look forward to returning.“

The owner welcomed us with so much warmth, and hospitality.He was incredibly accommodating and got us seats by the beautiful, electric bar even though it was full. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“

We came at 5:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy at first, but all the tables filled up as the night went on. It's a smaller restaurant but the ambiance is very classy and the decor is beautiful. You can just tell the food is going to be good when you walk in. We got the burrata and garlic bread as apps - both were really good but the garlic bread was my favorite! I got the short rib pappardelle as my entree, which was delicious and very fresh. They also have a nice wine menu to choose from. I don't remember which wine I got (it was a white wine on the happy hour menu), but it was really good! The service was also great, and our waiter was very attentive. If you're looking for an aesthetic restaurant that almost feels like being Italy, this is the place for you!“

“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“

I keep seeing burgers in reviews but it wasn’t on the menu that day. Only thing negative is the service—we kept being forgotten about and had to ask for the check three separate times. One reason is they have yummy bread before the pasta. For example, when you sit down there is some bread to eat. The bread has butter and pesto sauce. Another reason is the pasta has good sauce. After I eat my food I I order gelato. The gelato is good too. Another example is penneal pomodoroe basilico. The last reason is you can bring your family and have a good time. My friend and I would always get the seafood soup dish wrapped in side a piece of bread, called Cacciucco. It feels very light and healthy! And the taste is so good. You can choose portion for 1 or 2 people.“
