“Lately the pastries red bread pinetarts and blackeyes are horrible. Not very tasty and very dry. Very disappointing.“

“I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl! To finally bring my husband here now is really full-circle. The quality of the food is STILL amazing, the portions are huge, and everything tastes perfect. Love this spot. Best place I like to get Guyanese food apart from my grandmas cooking!“

“I've been going to HDL consistently for 2 years now and it's still one of my favorite hotpot places in nyc. In terms of cleanliness, service and food quality it is top notch. In terms of price it is on the pricier side ($50-$75pp). The servers are very attentive and offer to make you a soup and dipping sauce. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. The Chinese opera show, dancing noodle and birthday singing also make the dining experience more fun and memorable.Parking: Paid parking lot“

“Oh my goodness, this might be one of my favorite restaurants in the world. To be honest I was never a fan of injera or Ethiopian food but this place has made it a top 3 cuisine for me. The food is truly exceptional. You will wonder how they made the humble chickpea so creamy and flavorful. Get the shiro, seitan tibs and kitfo. Man oh man.Our server was perfect. Just attentive enough, so kind and warm. The ambience!!! I absolutely love the aesthetic. Just makes you feel like you’re having a fun night. They do bring the vibes, as they say. A colorful, vibrant, plant centric aesthetic with gorgeous wall art. The music was popping and made me want to dance. I can’t express more how extraordinary this place is. Wish they would cater for my wedding!“

“I came on a Monday evening and I got a reservation the day before. There were plenty of reservations available. The servers were nice and came to refill our water often. The food was unique and I don't get a chance to eat elevated Mexican food that often. I ordered: * Swordfish Tacos - 9/10 - The charred flavor on the swordfish was really good, and the spicy sauces added heat and a slight tanginess. The taco didn't have many toppings but the simplicity of the dish is what made the individual flavors shine. * Lamb Barbacoa Tacos - 7.5/10 - These had good flavor, but I felt like they were missing something. The meat was a bit dry, and all the ingredients were soft. I think adding another texture would elevate it. * Soya Marinated Tuna Tostada - 8/10 - The chili oil paired nicely with the soy marinade on the tuna. I liked that they put fat slices of tuna. The tostada was perfectly crunchy. * Oxomoco Guacamole - 7.5/10 - The chips on the side are the same tostada that comes with the tuna. The guacamole itself is delicious but it's hard to justify almost $20 for guacamole, no matter how good it is. * Recuerdame - 8/10 - A fun drink to order with tacos. I liked the aesthetics and that it was a blended ice drink. The alcohol flavor wasn't too strong and it was sweet. Overall, all the food I had was really delicious and for a Michelin-starred restaurant the vibe was pretty casual and chill. However, it is quite pricey for the amount of food you get, so I would save it for a celebration or special occasion.“

“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“

“We had an unexpected delay JFK airport and decided to look for a place for some good vegan eats. This place did not disappoint! They have a hot bar with ready made food (so many options) as well as a sandwich menu. I picked some items from the hot food (kale, Mac, lo mein, and bbq chicken) and my husband got a po boy. Everything was delicious. The po boy was out of this world! We also had fresh made juices and splurged on chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. It was definitely worth the trip from the airport! This is vegan comfort food at its best!“
