“My son said "Blue Smoke has the best brisket in NYC and maybe even TX too" I agree with him. The seasoning is perfect, the meat is super tender and moist, it just melts in your mouth, and we loved their homemade tortilla chips. It was our first time trying it. We started making bites with layers of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a piece of brisket w/their delicious sauce on top of their homemade tortilla chip, and to top it off, we would add a calbee hokkaido butter chip so both sides would be crunchy with savory gooey perfection in between. It's difficult to find a better bite and now we want to order it again now.“
“First of all, let me make sure you guys understand that I’m a 29 year Brooklyn native. Not knowing anything about southern cuisine I strolled into Krewe as I explored Jersey City. Before even getting through the doors I’m greeted by calming music leading me into an eye catching environment filled with tasteful art along with festive decorations.Smiles all around taking me to my seat as my stomach began to growl with anticipation. I’m a heavy eater of chicken so I went with the Chicken Po Boy….didn’t regret a thing. The south cut up chicken thigh overflowing out of my sandwich was a sight to see and the juiciness left my tastebuds back flipping. Water for my beverage as I’m a simple man. On a reccomendation I tried the Grit Fries - never knowing what grits truly were. To my surprise the delicious crispy crunchy outer layer was nothing compared to the soft warm cloud in the middle. I was sold, sandwich so flavorful along with a side of deep fried heaven - what more can I ask for from my new lunch spot.Service was amazing as people were warm and friendly. Cooks did an amazing job and the food was complimented by a very clean and vibrant environment. You’ll definitely catch me there again!“
“Chicken was tender and tasty.Buttermilk biscuit was dense and fluffy. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's how I can describe the texture. I like that combination, though.I wished the chicken and biscuit were warmer. It was more of a room temperature by the time I started eating them.“

The entire staff was funny and exuberant, made me feel welcomed and quite frankly at home. “I Loved My Experience Here! It Was My First Time At This Location And I Love That Its A Sit Down Restaurant. They Offer Hookah And BYOB! The Service Was Amazing And The Staff Was Super Friendly and Attentive To Our Needs. I Love That The Atmosphere Is Kind Of Dark And They Provide These Tap Lights That Minimize Privacy. I Had The Honey Garlic Salmon Bites And They Were Amazinggggg! Me And My Guest Both Got The Stuffed Chicken With Pasta And Shrimp. The Shrimp Was Super Fresh And Tasty, Chicken Cooked To Perfection And The Rasta Pasta Had Just Enough Rasta In It. The Owner Was Amazing I Love His Spirit And He Is A Very Good Person Who Is Passionate About His Business. I Won A Competition And They Compensated With Dinner, A Nice Bottle Of Champagne And $100! “The food was good, service good; just not 5 star worthy. 20% Tip is included when you get the check so be mindful of that. When my friends and I split the meal with our cards, we were each charged with the 20% tip included. I wish I would have known that prior to us splitting the check.“
“The place is like a very large house. Funky decorations make for a pleasant atmosphere. We were promptly greeted as we entered and seated at a comfortable table for our party of 3. We ordered blue crab beignets for the table. These delicious little bites were a nice starter. A nice drink menu offered a bunch of different old fashioneds. We ordered brisket, fried chicken and fried catfish. All were exceptional as was the efficient, cheerful service. I don't rate 5 stars lightly, this place deserves it!“
