“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“
“We were fortunate enough to bag an early lunch here after sitting on the waiting list for weeks, and so glad we got in today. The food, service and overall experience was simply outstanding. It certainly lives up to any hype and is totally justified. If you are visiting the city and luckily enough to secure a table, you won’t be disappointed.Outstanding team Torrisi…“
“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“
“A vibey restaurant that screams NYC from the effortlessly casual yet attentive service, killer cocktails, cosy but vibrant atmosphere and slamming pizza. The pizza is a thin and cracker style bar pie but with enough body and chew to bring the bite satisfaction. Toppings are quality and cooked perfectly.Cacio e Pepe was a bit lacking in oomph with a light cheese and black pepper taste so would not order again.Cocktails were so delicious - get the bar experts to whip you up something off-menu and you will be happy.Notes about scoring:1 star = Memorably awful2 star = Not good and would avoid3 star = Good but would not return4 star = Recommended5 star = Incredible and must visit if you can“
“Simply the best every single time we go! Super friendly with kids, outdoor backyard spaces, beautiful, and feels inside but open… And the pasta is amazing.I’m still remembering the mushroom special pasta I got months ago. Also, the wine list is great and good price points for quality.“
“Order: broccoli, brown butter, buffalo mozzarella, rigatoni, olive oil + pistachio ice creamVerdict: first and foremost, just an awesome waitstaff. Effortless but nice. The pastas are totally fine, but honestly one note. Felt similarly about Lilia so no real change. The gelato was Excellent though. Only thing I'd come back for is the desert.“
“The restaurant is cozy and very charming with a good vibe. However, my wife’s dish was too salty and mine was heated in the microwave. The gnocchi was overheated and overcooked. A disappointing experience. It was my wife’s birthday and I am sad the food was way less than I expected due to the good reviews I read before thanking her there.“
“Experience Lucciola – NYC's finest Italian dining! Immerse yourself in the exceptional 9-course tasting menu, enhanced by expertly chosen wines. Chef Michele crafts each dish with unmatched skill, presenting masterpieces of Italian cuisine. For unparalleled value and a remarkable culinary adventure, Lucciola is your destination.“
“Decided on this place for a business lunch a few weeks ago and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food. The lunch portions were more than reasonable as was the pricing. For a dinner lunch, it is definitely a bit less formal due to the seating arrangements, but for a casual client lunch, this spot was pretty great. I'd definitely go here with my team or on my own as it was worth the visit.“
“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“
“Excellent food and service. I am a visitor in NYC and was referred to the restaurant by friends who had all good things to say about their experience. We are so happy we went there for dinner. The duck was delicious. The pasta was delicious, the sauce was sooo good. We will be back again. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. As an added plus, Gabriele greets his customers, and that made it extra special when he checked in on our table.“
“Classic NY-Italian bakery in all of the best ways. My family and I have been coming here for years. The cakes, cookies, and pastries have been featured on many of our holiday tables. One of my favorites. While their cheesecake varieties are amazing, (their Italian style is my favorite of their cheesecake varieties), I absolutely love and adore their Fruit Supreme Cake and their Strawberry Shortcake. Also the Sfogliatelle/lobster tail pastries are delicious! I favor the custard filling over the cream but to each their own, they also have chocolate filled ones. I appreciate that they have mini pastries like mini cannoli and others for when you want a small, quick treat but can’t take a larger pastry with you.“
“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.“
“Fun food hall and mercantile for all. Great if you have multiple people looking for different types of food, looking for a fun higher-end casual date night, or dividing and conquering to go find yummy takeout to go enjoy with a group out on Pier 17.Plenty of tasty options, fresh ingredients, and NYC goodies to purchase.“
“We were in town visiting our son, who lives in Greenwich Village, and he recommended Maestro Pasta as he had recently dined there. We loved it so much…the atmosphere, the food, the service…we went back a second time in the same week. I know it’s crazy. Of all the restaurant choices there are in NYC, we couldn’t get that freshly made pasta off our minds and had to go back. The swing seating by the tables is a very special touch. Alessandro, the owner, is amazing… so friendly and personable. We’ll definitely go back there every time we visit. Still can’t get that pasta off my mind.“
“You have to remember that when you dine in a Michelin star you will be paying a big price for tiny portions. So all that aside the food itself was truly amazing. You must get the gnocchi fritto. The bread is pillowy soft, not greasy at all and pairs so well with the salty proscuitto. I was most excited about the uovo ravioli and tbh it was a bit disappointing but I think this was just a personal preference because of all accts it should be a perfect dish. You need to be prepared to go all out because otherwise you will leave hungry.“
“what an incredible experience. the place is packed all night long and serving the best squid ink pasta i’ve had. strachiatella and fig toast along with the mushrooms are essential too. the cheesecake for dessert hit home. fabulous wine list too. must go!“
“Definitely give Odeon a shot if you're around the neighborhood. The burger there? Top-notch. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and hits the spot every time. The croque monsieur is another win. They make a good espresso martini, but my favorite is the cucumber martini. It's the kind of place you keep coming back to, whether for a casual night out or just to catch up with friends over some good eats.“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“A wonderful tomato sauce penne fish complete with mozzarella cubes and fresh basil. Noting ordinary-- freshly made with great ingredients. And I came on a cold, rainy evening by myself snd felt very comfortable i will return with friends and family.Dietary restrictions: Nice options for GF diners.“
“Ever since Village Crown closed I have missed a truly satisfying kosher restaurant...and now that I am vegan the challenge is greater. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. These were the highlights of a memorable dining experience in a charming place.“
“Best tip: dinner and try the braised artichhokes. Not sure I want to tell many people about this place or it will become even harder to get a reservation like Don Angie or Rezdora. We were very surprised by all the dishes. The braised artichoke though was amazing, flavorful and unique. We only had the pasta and they were great (tortellini and the verse ragu).Although I must say the ambiance is a bit louder than I would typically enjoy so be prepared to a more lively and noisy dining than usual. Definitely more casual than those I mentioned - but the food is worth it.“
“This is my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. And they have the best pizza in the city in my opinion. I’m Italian and it’s very hard to find true Italian pizza!! But you can definitely find it at Aromi. You can also chat with the owners and the staff, they are really kind and the service is awesome. Also they have real delicious mascarpone and every time I ate that I wanted to cry because it reminds me of Italy! Really recommended!“
“probably the best pizza in new york city. the food was great, we tried 3 different options (and yes, we exchanged slices), they were all to die for. we ordered the spinaci salad and it was the best salad i’ve ever had. note: one salad is not enough to share since it is so good.“
“Lobster saffron risotto was yummy. Hubby’s red shrimp spaghetti was apparently rather salty for his liking but this is NY. We find NYC’s food quite salty compared to our food back home.Concierge was very kind to offer us a glass of bubbly. We were severely jet lagged and needed somewhere to quickly grab our supper. So we went to this place as it was near from our hotel. It is not the cheapest restaurant in NYC but food quality (lobster was cooked perfectly), service by Genara and Concierge made our dining experience so memorable. The only downside was the restaurant has two dining areas and we were seated in the most inner part. It was highly rowdy..! I wanted a quieter/ more intimate ambience as the restaurant oozes out this romantic atmosphere. Maybe next time? Will def return.“
“We spontaneously got a place - reservations are recommended. Seating is rather tight, please pay attention to the volume when the restaurant is full. More authentic Italian cuisine. Taken on its own, it tastes very good. Service friendly and accommodating.“
“This was our first time and we had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the ambiance set the ideal mood to enjoy the experience. The duck and the agnolotti were particular standouts that were quickly added to our “best in the city” list. We will be regulars from here on out!“
“Hands down best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had, as well as the best red sauce on the lobster ravioli. The atmosphere was immaculate, with classic Italian music playing outside over the patio. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was cheap for lunch. However, dinner options are around $20-$30 per person. We were looking for somewhere to eat and many waiters were asking us to dine at their establishments as we walked through the neighborhood. We were drawn in by Mr. Ayman and one of the waiters. Mr. Ayman was an excellent, gracious host who truly cared about his service and food. If you’re in Little Italy you have many restaurants to choose from. Be sure to choose L’Amore.“
“Old world styled service crafted for enjoyment & delivered to perfection. Superb Italian food w several preparations table-side. White table cloths & candles but not stuffy. We were lively and had a super memorable time. Table of 8. We will be back. Highly recommend East side location now on 46th street between 2 & 3. $$$“
“I like the environment, service and food. I like the lobster head-on shrimp pasta, signature egg york ravioli with black truffle, salmon entree with mushrooms and onion sides.Nice desert. Chocolate soufflé is good. A little sweet for me. Best pistachio gelato I have ever had including in Rome and Florence.“
“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“
“A New York Institution IMHO. Amazing pizza, great beer, cool vibes, friendly & knowledgeable staff, to-go counter, seasonal outdoor area. Indoor seating may feel claustrophobic to some. They might make you a pizza no longer on the menu ?, 2/5 success rate.“
“The pistachio pasta is the best. The Portugese octopus appetizer was just as good as Europe and the beet salad was the perfect mix of soft cheese and flavor. One of the teenagers had the pasta with the fries procutto and pecorino cheese, it was also just as good as the pistachio pasta. It was full even at 8p for our reservation so either reserve or visit as a smaller party to get seated easily.“
“I was up and down about buying this pizza because of the cost...HOWEVER, I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived today...Man. REAL PIZZA after 20 years of being GF. It was delicious! I've order online frozen items (cookies, pizza, apps etc) before and this was, by far, the best delivery result. Frozen solid, minimal waste and even the GF taramisu I was nervous about experienced no thawing. It was supposed to be for someone else but oops, so good my taste testing went a bit too far. What taramisu?? :) I ordered 3 GF pizzas and have only tried the sausage and mushroom so far. The crust edge was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle while the pizza itself cooked up nicely. I like mine a bit well done and even doing so, the toppings didn't burn. My ONLY complaint was it needed a bit more sauce for my personally liking and because it was fresh and tasty, I wanted more. Maybe a side to dip my crust in?? What? Yes. Great job Kreste!“
“I truly love this place. Everything is perfect there. Great food and atmosphere but mostly is the people. I always feel welcomed and appreciated. The biggest thanks to Andres who is always taking care of each customer making sure we are all feel good! Thank you guys and see you soon! You’re the best!“
“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“
“I really wanted to love this place but it wasn't quite there.Pros: breads and dips are great. Highly recommend. Knocked it out of the park hereCons: our pasta was way over salted. Maybe it's a one off but it made it hard to enjoy. Atmosphere is ok. The place has good bones but the designer didn't get a number of things right (e.g. artwork doesn't quite work with the space, table and chairs could have been better selected, floor is an odd choice). It's still a decent atmosphere but they could do a lot more with their space if they had the right designer“
“All was so incredible - food, service, vibe of the restaurant, all were 10/10. We got so many delicious dishes but our favorites were the cacio e pepe and the chicken parm smothered in vodka sauce (what’s not to love about that???). Would recommend going, and we’ll ABSOLUTELY be back!“
“Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“
“Had a cozy lil' table for two last Friday night, and Osteria Carlina hit all the marks for outstanding food, warm hospitality and intimate atmosphere. Everything we tried was a treat, with the beef tartare, Barolo risotto, beef cheeks and molten chocolate cake standing out as our favorites. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! It was a packed restaurant with couples and friend groups, seemingly everyone in high spirits. Also: points for the playlist which spanned from the Bee Gees to Fleetwood Mac – we're excited to come back!“
“I love this place. Especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon for brunch. It was fun watching fashionable diners of Fort Greene trickle in and out of this airy dining room, ready to devour their brunch plates and cocktails. My lobster scrambled eggs were a bit salty, but I’d let the extra sodium slide. The short ribs with polenta was amazing.Breakout star - I really loved the biscotti that came with the espresso. I wonder if that’s homemade?I was here for dinner before as well. Loved both of my visits.“
“The food was spectacular. Our server, hostess, barmaid and valet were truly the best. They all deserve to be recognized on great customer service. The hostess came to our table well after we paid and asked us politely if we wouldn't mind moving to the bar. I understood the reasoning for this completely. The manner in which this was done was very professional. I know there are people that have a problem with this. We are not one of those. It's all in the way it is handled which was very professional. We did go to the bar and the staff was kind enough to offer us a drink for understanding. We were pleasantly surprised by this and very grateful. We appreciated the parking instructions sent by the restaurant. It made it so much easier knowing in advance what to expect. We made a long trip from Long Island and look forward to returning.“
“A fantastic Italian restaurant! Very good quality authentic ingredients, delicious wine at a good price. Two visits, both times the waiter service was at a high level, no one here pretends to be Italian style, it's just like in Italy (and in the best places in Italy!)“
“We came across Aura on a night out, and we are so happy that we decided to go in. We loved it so much, that we stayed till closing. The owner welcomed us with so much warmth, and hospitality. He was incredibly accommodating and got us seats by the beautiful, electric bar even though it was full. The bartenders were super sweet, fun, and everyone was so pleasant to be around. Overall it was a cozy, fun, charming little place.Drinks were amazing. Our friend tried the food and she loved it. We will definitely be back for more drinks, the food, and the aura ;)“
“I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“
“Cafe Mars is truly out of this world! The food is delicious, exciting, and fun — the Waves pasta dish is our favorite in the city. They have excellent wine and amaro/grappa lists and are eager to find ways to introduce you to new tastes. The ambience is one of bright, upbeat, whimsy, with a number of surprises that I won't spoil here. But the star of Cafe Mars is the staff. Everyone you encounter from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave makes you feel like a beloved guest at their wonderfully wubulous dinner party. They are all warm and welcoming with just the right amount of weird, and they've mastered the art of authentic hospitality. Can't wait for our next visit!“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“I went to Rome in October 2023 and I wasn't able to eat the famous Italian panino, as the queue was huge and I didn't have much time. But I took advantage and when I was in NYC 2024 I went to the Times Square store and ate The Odd Couple, wonderful!!!!“
“We were in Queens and asked a friend who lived in area for dinner recommendations. We are super happy he did. This place is great. All 4 of us loved our dishes and service. The place was packed but they keep it moving and everyone looks quite happy with their food. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time. The mushroom pasta I had was on long thick cuts of homemade pasta cooked perfectly and the mushoom mixture was excellent and I really appreciated it cooked in white wine sauce instead of heavy cream you usually get. My wife ordered something not on the menu for her and my daughter. Home made spaghetti with vodka sauce and grilled shrimp and waiter offered meatballs and spaghetti for my daughter. They loved it. My son had the lasagna and finished every morsel. I don’t leave too many reviews but this place deserves it 100%. Thank you.“
