“I love coming here ! The food & pastries are sooo delicious, and the service is great! Definitely 10/10Vegetarian options: This is a vegan bakery.Kid-friendliness: Very sweet and patient with my daughter while she decided on what she wanted“
“I went back to Liebman's Kosher Delicatessen & Restaurant today, 10/18/2023 for Riverdale Restaurant Week. For $22 (Plus tip) you get a Pastrami or Corned beef (I got pastrami), a square or round knish or steak fries, cole slaw, pickles and a Dr. Brown's soda. Look: A great deli knows that the secret of success is not to futz with perfection. My Aunt Joan and Uncle Bill of Blessed memory either took me to Liebman's or had them cater their simchas for as far back as I can remember. The pastrami I had today was as fatty, smoky, salty, tender and delicious as it always was and always will be. Was it worth two and a half hours on public transit from South Brooklyn to get there? You betcha. Will I go again? You betcha. Should you go? Heck yeah.“
“The food is always amazing, unique and generous portion size.Recently did a sheva brachos in house, and the owner and staff outdid themselves. They were attentive, accommodating and responsive. Also added some fish entrees for those who requested. They even set up Spotify Jewish music for us! The guests were comfortable and happy, and the restaurant did everything we contracted and more. Leftovers were packed nicely and efficiently for distribution. We would definitely do this again!Wheelchair accessibility: street level access“
“First time here. Read great things about this place so wanted to try. There were 8 people ahead of us but the line seemed to move pretty fast and the vibe I got was that you should know what you want before you make it to the front of the line. We got plain, cinnamon raisin, rye, and everything. The size of the bagel was smaller than what you’d normally see but the doughiness and freshness was great (the cinnamon raisins had just come out of the oven). I’m not complaining about the size because i think bagels are typically too big and I usually cut it in half and save it for later but this was a perfect size. Would definitely come back.“
“We ate there two Shabbats in the last month.Excellent foodExcellent service .Ephraim the owner is there and takes care of everyone.Reasonable price for a very good Saturday night dinner(New prices are expensive). In short, delicious, nice and worth every dollar.with appetite“
“Best vegan food in NJ. Extensive Chinese menu and also other Asian cuisines. Just very well done, clean food. The restaurant itself is just very clean and simple nothing fancy. Food is outstanding.Vegetarian options: All vegan Chinese food and other Asian cuisine offerings.Dietary restrictions: All vegan“
“Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“
“Love Effy’s! The lattes are divine - a secret gem and perfect way to start the meal. We got the Middle Eastern breakfast and the labneh and beets were so fresh and delicious. We also go the Italian Omelette which came with a decadent side salad! The service was fantastic and attentive. We took a smoothie to go which was the perfect dessert. Highly recommend!“
“Whether you're looking for a selection of old-school Jewish appetizers, like pickled herring, the lox and cream and onion sauce, or prepared kosher entrées, this establishment will do the trick! Even better it's glat kosher and Shomer Shabbos! They're kosher for Passover Pizza is a real annual treat. And if I'm not mistaken, their fried chicken which they make fresh every Tuesday, it's absolutely fabulous.“
“Food? Fantastic! Great pizza, side and salads.Service? Superb! Food was hot and ready for 20 peeps within minutes.Atmosphere? Amazing! The music choices were on point! We came to celebrate a marriage after the fact...the guy in charge overheard and started playing "death of a bachelor" ? perfect“
“This is a small deli, one of the few remaining in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. They offer a full range of deli delights, most of which are made on premises. It's really only a take-out place, as there is only bar seating with stools. The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and talkative. If you're in the area, go there. You won't be disappointed.“
“A great selection at a good price. The customer service is excellent, very friendly and great at helping you find what you need or give recommendations of something new to try. I have been able to rely on this place for a good selection at different price points. From reds to whites and whisky to vodka, they had a great selection with exactly what I needed at a bargain price.“
“It was a miserable, heavy rain Saturday and really fancied some good matzo ball soup. First time at this place, literally googled ‘best matzo ball soup in Bergen County’, don’t regret the decision. We had two soups, a potato knish and a pastrami sandwich. The knish was really hot, best left to cool a bit… but it was probably the best one I’ve ever had. The soup, the matzo ball was really light, the soup had good flavor and not salty… my husband really enjoyed the sandwich too. definitely worth returning to for some comfort food.“
“Great kosher place with a cool vibe. The menu is pretty big and the service was extremely nice and helpful. Food tasted fresh and amazing.Vegetarian options: No meat in the store, if you don't want fish they have many non fish items as wellDietary restrictions: Kosher and vegetarianWheelchair accessibility: Ground level“
“We enjoyed the meal very much and the service was warm and responsive. The ambiance could be enhanced by a style makeover but this factor was not enough to spoil our enjoyment of the evening. Overall 4 stars. Recommended. We will eat there again for sure.“
“Wow!! Small little place. Was in ENGLEWOOD and was told to check this place out. Glad we did. Everything was delicious. We started with Humnus with mushrooms which was outstanding. Came with fresh pita .They started us off with complementary bread and hummus with Amba. Amba is a peach sauce. Was outstanding. I went with a chicken Schwarma in a Laffa I highly recommended this restaurant“
“Good prices! Good food especially their burgers!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options for all Burger sandwiches and salads.Kid-friendliness: Lots of comfortable seating for a family.Wheelchair accessibility: I think it would be easy to eat here and order in a wheelchair“
“I Had what could possibly be the best experience at a restaurant. Let’s start off by saying that the Brisket is 10/10. The food here is amazing. The staff is so friendly. I was served by Edgar and he made it very memorable. You can tell that they go above and beyond to provide not only good food but a great atmosphere that will make you come back for more .“
“Went there for years when I lived in the neighborhood many times a week. My favorite pizza in all of NY. They need to be talked about for how amazing their pizza is. The owner and staff are all great guys! I visit every time I'm back downstate.Parking: Side lot and street parking“
“If I could give them 6 stars I would, they are great!!! Went there on a date with a lovely friend expecting the usual Kosher Chinese fare that I have had from LA to Pittsburgh to my hometown here on Long Island, NY. I came expecting the food to be the normal I have expected in an inexpensive (for Kosher that is) Chinese restaurant, OK to good. However this restaurant astounded me, it was different!!!The food was fabulous!!! We both had the 'Hot and Sour' soup, and it was impressive! The temp, was just right, not luke-warm as I have come to expect in many restaurants, and, not scaldingly hot, but just right! The spices were hot as they should be, but not too hot. As I said, I was amazed!!!Then for the mains, we had, Spicy Chicken and Curry Chicken. Again the spices were quite hot, but not too, at least for me. They were just wonderful, tasty, yet with a subtle delight. It is hard to express. And we both commented how the presentation of the food on the plates was 'picture perfect.'I would suggest you go and write your own experience! I live 30 miles on the other side of the NYC metro area where traveling can be a challenge all on its own, but for this restaurant in the Bronx, NYC, NY, Kai Fan, I will be returning!!!ps I only wish they were closer to me here on Long Island!!pss I was served by one of the owners, and an owner was on duty at the cash register! A great family run operation!!Dietary restrictions: It is Kosher!!!Parking: Parked across the street at 430 for $5. After 7pm it would have been FREE!!!“
“Hey I mean, been there 2 times so far. Very reasonably priced. Got the lomein and crispy chicken; delicious! Also springrolls were super good. Also got the udon noodles and orange chicken another time, also amazing. Again, reasonably priced. Went with 5 people and it came out to $200.“
“Had a great time at this restaurant , came in with a few friends and really enjoyed the fresh food and the atmosphere my server Sarah was wonderful she made the experience even better thank you for being very professional and niceThank you I will definitely be “
“The best eggplant parm I’ve ever had. Ugh it’s so good I’m obsessed with it. If I was dieing and got to pick my last meal it would be Prime Times eggplant parm!!I haven’t tried anything else there because I need the eggplant Parm hahaThe people in there are so nice too!“
“Have not eaten in... Just take out. But the food is delicious! Recently got a couple of platters. Packaged really well in sectioned trays, keeping the cool (salad stuff) away from the hot chicken and falafel. In the past I have also ordered shawarma and schnitzel by the pound for a party and was very happy.“
“Golan Heights serves by far the best shawarma sandwiches I’ve had outside of Israel. The myriad of sauces, such as their green charif, amba, and of course techina make all their sandwiches so addictive. It makes it generally worth it to pay the few extra bucks for Laffa over the Pita. They also offer other products with interesting names like “Zaidy’s” (spicy) poppers and “Stupid” (mix) chicken. They have a small space with a few tables, but I’d recommend this place for takeout like most people do.“
“Sammy's Bagels offers a delightful experience with their delicious spicy tuna bagel. Despite the small size of the location, the inviting aroma upon entry adds to the overall charm. The seating, though limited, provides a cozy atmosphere to savor their flavorful creations. A must-try for tuna enthusiasts!“
“Love the chicken lo mein dish I got there, the place looked very nice, & the service there was amazing they got my food done and to me quick despite it being night time (dinner hours) and they were nearing closing hours. Very impressed. 5 stars for chop chop.“
“First of all, the current store manager is a delight, just a friendly, smart, helpful person! Second, the Drunk Man Noodles are delicious - I ask for extra chicken at a fee and less sweet- and its all worth it. No kosher Thai food in the vicinity that is near this good.“
“This is the standard while other restaurants have come and gone. Deli Kasbah remains. Expanded menu from steaks, burgers, wraps, Israeli dishes. Good service as well. Spots can be hard to come by as any NYC restaurant may have. It's was our 28th wedding anniversary. We got a spot right in front.“
“The food is excellent, the ambiance sublime, and the employees are super friendly. I am a chef by profession, from Germany, the land of kartoffelsalat, and their potato salad is so good. Artistically decorated. Even the bathrooms are lovely. A lovely cafe and I will come back.“
“Delicious breakfast food and I loved the heated terrace. So sunny and airy but still warm. Service was top notch!I really appreciated that breakfast mains included coffee AND bread - and no upcharge for GF toast!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options abound, including GF bread options as part of the meal!“
“Came here with my goddaughter after a day at the beach. We wanted to have something refreshing and healthy. The lady behind the counter was so welcoming even though she was busy and alone. She was handling online orders and let us know that she would be with us momentarily. These were our first bowls but she was super patient as we made our decision. This was my first time at this location and only second time at SoBol overall but I was pleased. The classic bowl size is generous in size. I will be back.“
“Great place to have lunch with friends! Met my friends here who were staying in northern NJ and I'm in NYC. Really easy trip there, you can take catch the bus right on the corner to and from port authority! The food was delicious and we were able to hang out and catch up for almost two hours with no one bothering us. Highly recommend!“
“They are always busy and it's only because their food is worth the wait, so order with anticipation. They are super hospitable. If you need utensils, condiments, or even fortune cookies they're in a basket for your service. Yes, I have friends that say they're pricey, but when the food is prepped and taste the way it does from Chopstix, U will understand. My mother will only eat Chinese food from here (We're Latinos) and I'm 41yrs old, she will not have it anywhere else. Thank you guys for the superbness service!“
“I'm one of the original customers. Yes, I am old. Ages ago, S &S was a well kept secret in the catering world. I truly believe they set the standard. My Father was in the food business, and he would bring home the GIANT cheesecakes for parties and family events. It was a special treat. As an adult, I lived with my wife in Riverdale. It was great to be able to get a cake from the Bodega or Candy store on their block. Until recently, I had never seen S & S's gate open, because they worked through the night. I went there 2 days ago and it was a happy sight to see it open, on a very busy street. We also lived in downtown Brooklyn, and I felt that Junior's was all about hype. The obvious difference is quality, and a touristy establishment versus an artist who has always been consistent. The newly self annointed FOODIE experts continuely show their ignorance. But they are loud. I have learned that people who are loud, are usually wrong. Thank you S & S for being a memorable part of my life. Thank you for always being the example of how a quality food business should be run. BIG STANDING OVATION!!!!“
“A great old school place. Fancy schmancy it isn't, but who cares. Go and do as many pushups as you can, right there on the floor, in front of eveyone. You'll have your name on the wall with how many you did. Just love the place.“
“Epstein is a kosher delicatessen. The corned beef and pastrami is delicious. They serve hand cut fries, excellent soups and you can buy kosher cold cuts by the pound. The do charge more if you use credit.Dietary restrictions: They are kosher and observe kosher traditions. The food is great.“
