Our server didn't check back often or offer refills, we had to ask another server for refills. When we arrived they told us a 30 min wait, we didn't have to wait that long at all! Even though the service wasn't up to par, we will definitely come back.”

“I've been here a couple of times, and have been blown away with each item I've tried. In fact, this place may have the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried the cold cut trio, the Tony, and the Gabagool. Each was unique in their flavor combinations, but all hit the same height in terms of taste and quality. Definitely will be looking to try each menu item.In addition to the really, really good food, the atmosphere is great. The small, curated grocery section was fun to look at, the place is decorated really well, and the service was amazing. The person taking our order was extremely welcoming and helpful, and I believe the owner came by and cleared our table and offered us a to-go bag. “Perhaps my favorite Mexican restaurant I've been to in Dayton (and there are some good ones).Food:I ordered most recently the Chilaquiles Con Huevo Y Bistek Asado (pictured below). It was awesome. Thinly sliced (flank?) Steak cooked well, with nice slightly crispy edges and a good sear. Eggs were sunny side up and tasty. The meat and eggs were served on top of a nice bed of tortilla chips with lots of cilantro, cotija cheese, and I believe lime juice. Rice and refried beans were served on the side and quite good. There are other variants of this, along with huevos rancheros on the menu. The visit prior to this one, I ordered a pambazo (amazing) and an al pastor sope (also amazing) along with some horchata. A note on the horchata: you get your money's worth ($5 for a huge mason jar of it, I think at least a quart?) for the horchata, and it's easily in the top 2 homemade quality horchatas I've had. Definitely worth it.Pro tip: ask for their hot salsa to go with the chips & salsa. It's good. They normally bring out a roja and a Verde salsa, so the spicy one appears to be 'hidden' and complimentary (or priced such that I didn't notice any real increase in the bill).Customer service:Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is happy to offer recommendations for menu items and such. The food was prepared and at our table in a timely manner, and accurately. Seating is DIY, so choose your seat as you wish. No issues to be had.Note: you pay at the front desk when done eating, and they seem to keep track of the items ordered on their end. So, you pay before you get your printed receipt, if that makes sense. Just a heads up, so you don't wait around thinking a bill will arrive.A very nice restaurant with lots of menu options and doesn't skimp on the flavor.10/10, ¡Mi restaurante Mexicano favorito!Vegetarian options: Dishes with meat are clearly marked as containing meat, at least in Spanish (pollo, barbacoa, bistek, chorizo etc.), so dishes without such labels can typically safely be assumed to be vegetarian. There are lots of vegetarian options, ranging from tacos and burritos to enchiladas. I haven't tried it, but I wouldn't doubt that substitutions can be made to remove meat from most any dish.Parking: Parking spaces are not super clearly marked, but there is ample space to park at the front of the restaurant (facing the road) or other spots facing the building at the front or side.”

Decided to support them after seeing posts about awful people stiffing them on food.I have to admit, I thought it was a bit unnerving to ask me to pay for my food ahead of time over the phone especially since some may be using cash, but I understood after they got ripped off.I ordered a meal that came with biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon and added 2 pancakes. I did not like the biscuits and gravy because the gravy had a weird herby taste that I didn't enjoy. I can't rate the biscuits alone since they were all covered up with the gravy.The scrambled eggs would have been good but they were cooked in some oily substance that didn't taste good, butter or nothing at all would be better.The bacon was crispy and delicious! The pancakes were big and fluffy and tasted great. I would get pancakes and bacon from them again for sure.My partner had the Greek plate and the only complaint was that for the high price it should include more gyro meat and tzatziki. Everything was however cooked well and tasty.All in all I'm glad we stopped at George's and hope to dine there again!”

“I went here twice now. The first time we got beef and rice stuffed grape leaves and lamb shish kebab sandwiches, one was chicken. The lamb was super flavorful, tender, smoky, grilled. We ate in for dinner the first time. The atmosphere was great! The staff were pleasant and helpful as well! They had an area for gatherings that had karaoke haha!Today, we went again and I brought my dad with us. We all got the lamb shish kebab sandwiches along with tabouli, stuffed grape leaves, and hummus which came with bread. Again, the lamb was perfect and all the sauces and veggies in the sandwiches were so flavorful and refreshing! The tabouli was also very healthy feeling and refreshing! Their hummus was excellent and we got some to go for my mom to try! Delicious. The grape leaves were served hot and flavorful as well which was perfect. For dessert, I got knafeh which was the best I’ve had in awhile! This was an excellent experience twice now! Thanks for reading!”

“My family and I were taking the kids out for a birthday dinner and had looked up Dairy Queens near scene75 as we were headed there next for a birthday party. As we arrived we noticed the location was named Dairy Cream and were confused at first but decided to go in anyway to check out the options available. Upon entering we were greeted by the very friendly owner as well as his cook who made us feel immediately welcome and at home. We tried a variety of the foods available and in our party 5 adults and 3 children not one plate was left with any food on it. After speaking with the owner and giving him my thanks for one of the best meals I've had that wasn't home cooked he explained that all food is made to order by the staff and that they've been working on their seasonings and cooking techniques over many years and many customers. “We came here after a bad time at the doctor and discovered that both the tea and pastry offered are very, very good. The barista even asked me what I meant by "chai latte." When I told him I didn't care if it had syrup in it but what I really like is the real chai, only a little less sweet than most people drink it (I have relatives from India) that is what he made, real chai, a little less sweet than usual. This is really not the same thing as "chai latte" at all. It also takes longer to make, at least for someone with a professional barista set up going, but he did it and I really appreciated that effort.Unfortunately, I forget what tea my wife ordered, but it was also very good, a specific type of black tea with a very distinctive malty flavor. We also got a little tart to share and the pastry on that was even really good. It was as good as many things that pass for cookies and that is a long way off from what often passes for pastry, (which is really more like a technically edible container.)I bet the coffee is also good, but we didn't try that, yet. Definitely do go here for a good cafe experience, particularly if you like tea that is interesting or want to know why Paul Hollywood acts like he is expecting to enjoy eating the pastry under people's tarts. Seriously. I've had good tart pastry before this, but this is really good, and "normal" isn't.”

Our chef did not do anything engaging such as tricks with the food or asking if someone wanted to have some food catapulted into the air so that they could catch it with their open mouths. I was disappointed because I've been to this establishment before and thoroughly enjoyed that part of it. I know that you go for the food but the antics with the chef also keep you interested. However, we will return.”

“After we drove West in the morning, we drove around and ended up south of where we live and ate dinner at Blue Crab Juicy Seafood, located behind the Dayton Mall. Even though they were not busy, it took a while to be seated. A customer walked by us as we were waiting for someone to acknowledge us and said, "You are in for a long wait." We were eventually seated. The waitress, we didn't get her name, but she was getting married soon, was very nice. She kept stopping by to make sure everything was okay.You can order already created bags of seafood, or you can create your own. You can pay by 1/2 pound, by pound, or the already created bags are priced differently. We both created our own. We had the same thing, shrimp, snow crab legs (one bunch), potatoes, I had corn on the cob, and Mark did not. I also had a bit more spice with mine. Yes, I did wear my bib and the plastic gloves they gave us so I wouldn't get the old bay seasoning on my wedding rings. Mark did not wear the gloves. We did not like the cheese bread. The cheese was not melted at all. $6 for cheese bread, I didn't eat mine, and Mark only ate half of his. That was disappointing.Also, there was a man walking around, cleaning off tables and doing other things, had his earbuds in, and was talking on the phone the entire time.The atmosphere was nice, and since it is in the old Max and Erma's, there is a bit of it remaining, which I appreciate. We have been to a few of these type of restaurants and we like them.”

If you're worried about that side of town, the doors are locked. You have to have a card to get in or out. they do lots of functions whether it's Christmas birthdays Fourth of July or someone like me or my husband is fighting late stage cancer fundraisers. I couldn't think of a better place to go have a cocktail sit down and maybe make a new friend have sure made a lot of new friends there and it's a great place to run into people you haven't seen in a long time. Decided to support them after seeing posts about awful people stiffing them on food.I have to admit, I thought it was a bit unnerving to ask me to pay for my food ahead of time over the phone especially since some may be using cash, but I understood after they got ripped off.I ordered a meal that came with biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon and added 2 pancakes. I did not like the biscuits and gravy because the gravy had a weird herby taste that I didn't enjoy. I can't rate the biscuits alone since they were all covered up with the gravy.The scrambled eggs would have been good but they were cooked in some oily substance that didn't taste good, butter or nothing at all would be better.The bacon was crispy and delicious! The pancakes were big and fluffy and tasted great. I would get pancakes and bacon from them again for sure.My partner had the Greek plate and the only complaint was that for the high price it should include more gyro meat and tzatziki. Everything was however cooked well and tasty.All in all I'm glad we stopped at George's and hope to dine there again!”
