Uncover West Carrollton's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“The food was really good,, people are very friendly and kind ? I highly recommend itParking: Open lot with handicap parking availabilityKid-friendliness: It's a family business and will help with anything, children are welcome at any age ?“
“Taco Bell. The parking lot needs re-paved. Got surprised to have a slushie for $1 because it was happy hour. Lady on the speaker was nice but had a hard time understanding my Ohio accent, apparently. ? guy at the window was nice. Almost forgot to give me back my change though.Vegetarian options: You can literally make any order vegetarian. You can sub the meat with potatoes or beans instead. I promise you that as weird as it sounds, nachos with potatoes is so good!Wheelchair accessibility: Due to code laws, ALL places of business are required to have wheelchair accessibility .“
“Perhaps my favorite Mexican restaurant I've been to in Dayton (and there are some good ones).Food:I ordered most recently the Chilaquiles Con Huevo Y Bistek Asado (pictured below). It was awesome. Thinly sliced (flank?) Steak cooked well, with nice slightly crispy edges and a good sear. Eggs were sunny side up and tasty. The meat and eggs were served on top of a nice bed of tortilla chips with lots of cilantro, cotija cheese, and I believe lime juice. Rice and refried beans were served on the side and quite good. There are other variants of this, along with huevos rancheros on the menu. The visit prior to this one, I ordered a pambazo (amazing) and an al pastor sope (also amazing) along with some horchata. A note on the horchata: you get your money's worth ($5 for a huge mason jar of it, I think at least a quart?) for the horchata, and it's easily in the top 2 homemade quality horchatas I've had. Definitely worth it.Pro tip: ask for their hot salsa to go with the chips & salsa. It's good. They normally bring out a roja and a Verde salsa, so the spicy one appears to be 'hidden' and complimentary (or priced such that I didn't notice any real increase in the bill).Customer service:Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is happy to offer recommendations for menu items and such. The food was prepared and at our table in a timely manner, and accurately. Seating is DIY, so choose your seat as you wish. No issues to be had.Note: you pay at the front desk when done eating, and they seem to keep track of the items ordered on their end. So, you pay before you get your printed receipt, if that makes sense. Just a heads up, so you don't wait around thinking a bill will arrive.A very nice restaurant with lots of menu options and doesn't skimp on the flavor.10/10, ¡Mi restaurante Mexicano favorito!Vegetarian options: Dishes with meat are clearly marked as containing meat, at least in Spanish (pollo, barbacoa, bistek, chorizo etc.), so dishes without such labels can typically safely be assumed to be vegetarian. There are lots of vegetarian options, ranging from tacos and burritos to enchiladas. I haven't tried it, but I wouldn't doubt that substitutions can be made to remove meat from most any dish.Parking: Parking spaces are not super clearly marked, but there is ample space to park at the front of the restaurant (facing the road) or other spots facing the building at the front or side.“
“Let me tell it to you straight—this place is IT! I stopped by for the first time today and had their Trippin' On Shrooms burger and when I say it had SO. MUCH. FLAVOR! The fries were fresh, the pickles were thick cut, and the lions mane was JUICY and THICK! Yeah, this food is most definitely made with love. If you're trying to go vegan, the T.O.S is the way to go. Heck, even if you're not and you try something else, they're gonna get you right. Highly, highly recommend!“
“I went to order online just now and they are not accepting orders. Maybe they are just closed on thursdays, and I never noticed. But what if they are closing? I couldn't bear it. This is the closest taqueria to my house that doesn't have wheels on it. I need it to be open forever.“
“WHAT an experience ! The perfectly flavored food, meticulously detailed (and delicious) drinks, and especially attentive service made for a remarkable experience ! Trust the Sueño staff and their pairings and savor every bit of this 5-star night out to eat… what a Treat ! ?Special shout to Laken, Ezra, Julisa, Olive, Lucas, Isiah, and the incredible culinary masterminds for hitting every note and you’re one of a kind excellence tonight !“
“Tacos are very good. I've been a couple of times for taco Tuesday. The only issue is I order about 5 pm, and they only ever have beef or chicken they are sold out of everything else, so I've not gotten to try a lot of other things. I will have to try it out on a not so busy night when there are more options. I'm excited to try again!“
“Always great food and service. I usually get the veggie burrito (which is massive and very good) but I recently got the A la Diabla and that was amazing, good flavor and very spicy. My friend always gets the birria tacos and says they're the best birria around.“
“Always a great place to find great meat and produce along with a large selection of drinks, seasonings, and snacks that are hard to find. The staff is always helpful even if you do not speak spanish. Some of the best produce and meat in the beavercreek and riverside area“
“This was my first time eating at Chiapas. The food was delicious. Our server, Priscilla, was interactive, knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. We really enjoyed her! The atmosphere was nice and clean; however, the music was a little loud where we were sitting, making it difficult to have quiet conversation. My only disappointment was not getting any tres leches cake because they were out ?. Otherwise, an enjoyable experience. I look forward to returning.“
“Awesomeness!!! This was my first time having Birria tacos in Ohio and boy was I surprised!! The tacos were full, tender and very tasty!! The consommé was very flavorful and oh so succulent!! The cashier/waiter was very friendly and the food came out really quick. The Hibiscus Flower Agua Fresca was to die for!!!! It was so good, I had to try a different one so I got the Cucumber Mint Agua Fresca and it was just as delicious! I will definitely be making this place a regular while I’m in this area.“
“Mi Lindo Jalisco in Centerville is a hidden gem for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. My wife and I frequently visit this charming eatery, and it has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. One of the standout features is their incredible food. The street tacos are a must-try, packed with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Mexico. The birria is equally impressive, with its rich and hearty broth that’s perfect for dipping. Their enchiladas, smothered in savory sauces and cheese, are a delight for anyone who appreciates traditional Mexican cooking. The chips and salsa served as a complimentary starter are always fresh and delicious, setting the tone for an enjoyable meal. Another highlight of Mi Lindo Jalisco is their drink selection, especially the margaritas. They offer a fantastic deal on these refreshing and well-crafted drinks before 3 PM, making them both cheap and irresistible.Above all, the friendly staff adds to the restaurant’s appeal. They are always welcoming, attentive, and eager to make your dining experience memorable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Centerville, Mi Lindo Jalisco is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine.“
“Food was very tasty, but the food was served lukewarm on an extremely hot plate. Only reason a I gave the lukewarm food four stars was because it was very tasty. Atmosphere inside was good, they played just the right music to go with the place. Nonalcoholic soft drinks priced a little too high first this area, should be $1 less.Parking: There is one large parking lot in front for all of the businesses and another in back for the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access to first floor only. Stairs to outside deck.“
“We did a catered lunch for work from Los Reyes and they were amazing! The food was great, and they took great care to make sure everything was fresh and tasty. They went above and beyond - so thankful for them! I have long been a fan (casa especial is my favorite!), but they cemented top tier today! We did taco bar- tortillas and hard shell tacos, chicken (moist and yummy), ground beef, tortillas, lettuce, cheese, rice, beans, salsa and chips. They provided sour cream and hot sauce too!“
“We came in to dine in on a Tuesday we had an okay experience our server was great food was also great we had some chips and guacamole and it was delicious!!! We also had some enchiladas verdes and they were also delicious the rice and beans are so so good the food was really great. The only thing that bothered us was that the hostess was incredibly rude she kept making faces and whenever we asked her a question she just looked at us and ignored us. Overall the experience was good and we'll be coming back soon!!!“
“So yesterday was the first time that I went to their little taco stand and I'm actually mad at myself for taking so long to try I suggest for anyone to go there I don't know how to pronounce it but I got the steak Tonga something like that smashed it and wanted more and it's huge what are those places that the food so good that when you're eating it even when you're full you still can't stop eating it yeah go there and enjoy it“
“Everything I’ve had here is S-tier. We keep going back for the tortas, though. Even my super picky kids request them all the time - with everything on them! Also, the food is a great value for what you get, in terms of quality and quantity. The folks who run the truck are always super nice to me. I’ve paid before and after I get my food, which seems to depend on how busy they are more than anything.Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area - and worth the drive if you’re not!“
“Had my birthday party here. Let me first start by saying Fridays and the weekends are very busy totally understandable. My waitress was bomb forgot her name but she was running alot. OK so boom reserved at 6:30 didn't get food and drinks til 7:30-8 my steak tacos were so good. Disappointed in birria pizza didn't like it. Everybody else in my party loved their food and drinks. Here was the problem I ask for a shot she brought me a double $23 one for me and my husband. $40 fancy drink another $100 in food and dessert bill $189 they automatically add 18% gratuity bad service or not (which we didn't have) but bill total $240 just a heads up. NONETHELESS I had a freaking blast I was drunk beyond repair and the dancing robot was my highlight. The dj was lit even took a few requests. 9/10 will return on a not so busy day and time. Thank you EL ASADERO ?“
“They change the prices to whatever they want to charge you. One person charged me $23 every time and another person charges me $25.88 every time for the same exact meal. They don’t give receipts for cash purchases, which seems very suspect to me.Today I paid with the card just so I can have a receipt and he did not want to give that to me.“
“It's just like every other El Toro in the area. Good food decent prices. The only thing that you might not like is the restaurant side is a little small. So it gets pretty loud in there pretty quickly during dinner time. Our food was great and our server was awesome.“
“The food here is delicious! They have a great menu and authentic food. The owner is so nice! Always checks with people how things are, smiles, and cares about his customers and business. The decor is so festive and just makes you feel happy being there.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has good choices. My picky little eater really liked the Mexican pizza“
“This taqueria has been around for almost 20 years. I started coming here as a teenager, and it has been so good to me through the years. Even today, they will serve me the best tacos I've ever eaten, better than all the ones they've served me before. Very cheap. I even wish they would raise their prices. They deserve a raise, so tip well. Never too crowded, food comes out quickly. Salsas are prepared fresh -- some days the verde is spicy, other days it's a bit milder. I love that. Nowadays, I don't think I have to tell anyone that a truly good taco is a simple dish served with raw onion, cilantro, and a spritz of lime, but that is how you should order it. You are denying yourself by ordering the americano taco. Okay... you're allowed to throw some of the salsa on there, too, as a treat. The al pastor is out of this world. The chorizo is crispy and not too heavy. Pairs well with the tamarind jarritos.“
“Took food to go our bill was $59 with our drinks got to our destination when we took our food from the bag part of our order was missing but was given a fajita platter what disappointed not to get what I ordered even though that fajita platter was good except for the ratio of meat wasn't that good for the price...“
“Simply put, the BEST and most AUTHENTIC hispanic-inspired food I have had in years, and I am very picky when it comes to this style of cuisine. Everything was fresh, authentically prepared, and served with a knowledgeable and friendly demeanor - these folks are true culinary experts offering amazing tastes, I’m surprised they aren’t selling their chips and salsa on retail shelves, that’s how good it was!I can’t say enough about how positive every aspect of my experience at Napales was, visit them frequently, you can tell they put their heart into every order!“
“Great place to go! I came while on vacation and was not disappointed. The tortas were amazing and the grill burgers were only like 2 bucks and a great burger! I love this place and it has amazing people working and they are super friendly! 5/5 place to eat.“
“Been coming here since it was Cazadores. The food quality stayed the same. I personally love it. One of the best authentic food Mexican, moreso than El Toro. Can get busy on the inside, outside seating is nice in the summer with umbrella for shade. Although next to a busy road. Favorite dish is the El Vaquero bowl. Prices are fair. Especially the margarita pitcher.Parking: Only can access from one side of 73.“
“The service was ok there was a language barrier and if you're not offered a dessert or any kind of appetizers you're supposed to get one free well I mentioned it but I had to go and wasn't able to stick around but they didn't want to honor that so I didn't get my dessert or my appetizer and I spend about $125 but the food was awesome service could stand to be just a little better but they weren't too bad yes I would go back.“
“I come to this place pretty much everyday I have to work since I work next door. This is quite possibly my favorite burrito place to go to since finding it. I always order the general tsos burrito with crispy chicken, no jalapeños, and whichever curly fry I feel like getting. I recommend both very highly, and honestly recommend this place just as much. If you do and get hooked like I do, get the app. The rewards and stuff is actually really worth it too.“
“I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. The three tacos plate is really tasty, a good amount of food, and the meat is grilled perfectly. The margaritas, chips and salsa are great too. Personally, the beans are a bit bland. Customer service is courteous, efficient, keeps drinks filled, yet leaves you to eat your meal in peace. The tables and chairs have pretty artwork. I consider Chiapas my new go-to whenever I'm craving more authentic type Mexican food at a casual sit-down place.“
“BEST truck in Dayton, OH. I’ve been to every truck and this trucks food is the most flavorful from its salsas to the food itself. They’re gorditas and the right balance of soft with a bit of a crunch to the outside. The meat is full of flavors. Both the green and red sauces are packed with flavors. (Sometimes a truck will have great tasting food but their sauces are lacking in flavor, not this truck)Make sure to try their side of Mexican rice. It’s top notch. No matter what you order I can guarantee it will be packed with mouth watering flavor that will have you coming back weekly.Only con: it’s cash only. Never carried cash before but now I make sure to have some on me.“
“A little strange to have a beautiful restaurant in the back of a Hispanic supermarket but it's truly a beautiful atmosphere. My friend and I met for lunch and were immediately greeted by a very friendly server who sat us and brought chips and salsa. They were your pretty standard chips with salsa, little boring but alright. We ordered the Chorizo queso as an appetizer. Unfortunately my pic didn't turn out but it was very thin for queso. It tasted great but was definitely thin. It struck me during ordering that while this is a cool restaurant it's definitely not authentic. I had the Fajita Chimichanga. I didn't see on the menu that it was covered in a queso. It was tasty and yes I know chimichangas aren't authentic but there didn't seem to be many truly authentic dishes on the menu. Overall, lunch was great and I'd definitely return and recommend, just wish they would've had some truly authentic Mexican dishes on the menu.“
“(Translated by Google) My wife was delighted and so was I because the food is delicious as if you were in your country the attention of the gentlemen is the best blessings for them I recommend you visit this place you will not regret it chicks with slices and a very good price(Original)Mi esposa quedó encantada y yo también pues la comida es riquísima como si estuvieras en tu país la atención de los señores es la mejor bendiciones para ellos les recomiendo visiten este lugar no se arrepentirán pollitos con tajada y muy buen precioParking: Suficiente espacio y seguroWheelchair accessibility: Amplio y parejo para silla de ruedas“
“Very good authentic Mexican food! Tasted my son’s quesadillas and absolutely loved it! One of the best I had had and the cheese creamy and melty. I had the steak fajitas with beans and rice and it was fantastic. Good prices for the serving size paid $14 for the fajitas and made 3. My brother recommended this place and I am glad I tried it today 10/10. Pictured is a chicken soft taco, steak quesadilla and chimichanga.“
“My son and I got an ice cream, ice cream bar (she customized with chocolate dip and coconut for me) and the churros. All tastes amazing! I can only imagine the rest of the menu, ugh so much to choose from and the price is great too! We will be back.“
“Great hole in the wall bar alongside Elsa's menu, there really isn't much else to say. Bartenders are and always have been fantastic at this location for me personally, and even when they are slammed with people, food comes out lightning quick. Between the Wilmington Pike location and here, I can't decide which is better.“
“Moms! This is the queso and chip paradise of your dreams. Beers are good. They have a grilled Mexican taco (rec corn tortilla with shrimp) where you can get 1 to 3 to look like to ate something that isn't queso(girl dinner!). A chicken meal for your kids to share...and the husband can come too. Try it!“
“I got a chicken bowl. OMG It was sooooooo good. Very very filling. I can't wait to go again, so I can try something else.Vegetarian options: They have a wonderful variety of vegetables. If your not full when you finish you food. Your eating to much.“
“We ordered 4 cravings boxes with different types of extra sauces and the food was ready in less than ten minutes. Other locations take almost an hour! The staff was great, the food was fresh and the order was all correct. This is my new Taco Bell even though I have to drive a little farther to get there.“
“I always go to the location while in town to meet with my brother in law. This visit was uncharacteristically bad. Visited on a Wednesday and sat right down, but according to the wait and the staff you would have thought it was a Friday night. Hopefully they get some extra help aslnd this was a one off experience and not the new normal for this location.“
“I was passing by on my way home in Dayton Ohio and stopped for the first time to check out the food at my Local cantina , I was welcomed by a very nice young lady named Lauren..she was so nice and very informed..I couldn't have enjoyed myself more..because of her great service and the great food and drinks I will be back ! Thank you so much Lauren for your considerate service and attitude towards your customers! You made all the difference in my dining experience..see you next time ! God Bless !“
“My wife and I frequent Victor's, and it's always a good experience. We lived in Fort Worth for 31 years and have had plenty of really good Mexican food. Victor's gives you the opportunity to have Texas level Mexican food in here in Ohio.“
“Truly disrespectful that others have left poor reviews. It's EL TORO. Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The chips and cheese dip are always phenomenal. Highly recommend the quesadilla texana or anything really. I love the ground beef which I've found to be dry and flavorless at other Mexican restaurants. I've never been disappointed at any El Toro.“
“Staff is usually super friendly and helpful.food is always fresh and delicious. I have stopped by late around 45 minutes before closing and they always tell you what they have available and what they don't at the door before you order, super nice people!“
“I am happy a Moe’s opened here. I love this restaurant. Previously, the closest one was in Chillicothe. Now that this one is here, I’m going to save so much gas when going to get lunch or dinner.Vegetarian options: While I personally enjoy all meat, in theory, you could have a tasty meal here without any meat.Dietary restrictions: You can fit all diets at this place. Talk about inclusivity, everybody eats.Parking: So many spots. You can almost park anywhere.Kid-friendliness: My kids like this place, great food.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right in.“
“The food was ok, the ground beef taco and pulled pork were so greasy the shells fell apart. Half of our orders were not exactly as we ordered. But we did not say anything either. We just ate what we got. Our waitress was absolutely buried. Just average service, food and atmosphere.“
“1st time eating here. The food was fantastic. The young gentleman working was very kind and helpful. The portions were huge too. #1 new place to eat. One thing that is normally an issue with eating Mexican food is making the picky eaters in the family happy but I was able to do that here.“
