I do know human behavior and sometimes no matter how clean we want to be with our hands sometimes that isn’t the case and with so many viruses and colds going around. I really like seeing establishments I eat at that is working with my food have gloves on there hands when maintaining or touching any type of food that Hass to go into my mouth. so for me that is the main thing that stands out to me and has me a little bit more cautious. however overall this establishment has four stars Melissa is doing a great job her staff is amazing in the environment is calm and chilled! However the members not having gloves in their hands definitely is a big deal to me and that is a personal observation .”

“We went to our granddaughter's dance competition in April 2024 at the DeYor Performing Arts Center and had dinner at Avalon afterward. There was a line out the door to be seated on a Saturday night, but the customers waiting in line were friendly and assured us that the line moves fast - this restaurant obviously has a regular following. We sat at the bar and again sat among regulars. I had a Cabernet, and Ray had a beer. Heaven! I can't believe the menu here!!! It reminded me of my ex's Italian family recipes. I had the fried smelts and Brier Hill Pizza (just like my ex-grandmother in-law's homemade)! My husband had wedding soup - with homemade soup breads - another Youngstown staple! I make soup breads at home, but I have never had them at a restaurant. Impressive and delicious! My husband had a meat pizza and loved it. We ordered a potato pizza and cannoli to go. I didn't realize a restaurant still existed that served authentic Italian food. By the end of the evening, my cheeks were sore from smiling! What an experience!”

Also, they can be a bit stingy on their dipping sauce, if you order two separate orders for yourself and someone else, why would you only give me one dipping sauce? “I've been here a few times. The food is good, probably better if you're gluten tolerant, but since I'm not, there are very few good options, and those options aren't spectacular. The seating here can be extremely uncomfortable if you get put in the wrong spot. The last time we went, my husband and I sat on the same side of a booth and I've never been in a worse seat at a restaurant. It literally caved in to the center so our spines were at an angle toward each other. We're regular sized people, on the thin side if anything. The only alternative seating available was a hard metal high-top stool with no back. I don't have back problems, I'm relatively young, but I was literally aching to get out of there for how cheap and poorly built the booth seat was.On the plus side, the service is always excellent here! If you can snag a comfortable seat and don't have dietary restrictions, you'll have a great time here.”

The waiter and hostess were very friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and most importantly the food was great. We had the olives and the mussels as an appetizer and the linguini with clams and carbonara for entrees. The carbonara was exceptional, full of flavor but not the usual goopiness you find at many places. Also the tiramisu for dessert was great. Everything was also very reasonably priced, including a decent bottle of wine. Highly recommend!”

It is an excellent place to chit-chat, study, groups, stop before hiking the trails in Mill Creek Park.Parking: The parking lot is small. Exiting the parking lot can be can be a little difficult on occasion when headingnorth.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one parking spot for disabled people. The entrance door doesn't have a wheelchair button that you press. You have to pull the door open.”

Mark, the manager, was out on the floor visiting tables and took time to stay and chat with us. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they enjoy working here. “The Landmark restaurant in Youngstown, Ohio is a staple of the Westside. It’s simply one of the best places to get a great breakfast. The portion size for the price is very good. I usually go as soon as they open, not too crowded but it gets busy. You walk in and seat yourself, I usually like to grab a table. The seating options here are table, booths or the counter. I really enjoy the atmosphere here, early morning crowd of people getting ready for work or retired guys just enjoying their coffee. My waitress came over to me quickly, she was very pleasant. She then took my drink & breakfast order. She returned with my bottom-less coffee & water, there was a cup full of creamers on the table that I used to give my coffee the correct consistency. My meal was out a short time later, perfectly prepared, hot & correct. The best part of this place is after you finish your breakfast, you can stroll over to the bakery counter and get some amazing donuts. They make an Apple Fritter & Bear Claw the size of your head!!! They are big and amazing tasty, you simply must try them. They have a whole case of delicious donuts that I know you will enjoy. If you love a proper breakfast & delicious donuts, this is the place for you.”

“Today was my first visit inside Raising Canes of Boardman OH. It was right before the eclipse. I was greeted by a kind and very friendly lady at the front counter. Her name is Bea. She was so helpful and so pleasant and got my order out super quick so I could make it to see the eclipse. Bea sets the standards on how customer service should be. It’s been a very very long time since I have had such an enthusiastic person wait on me. She was just so genuinely happy that I could tell she liked her job and that this Canes is a good place to work at. She made me want to work there because I love positive people .Thank you Bea and thank you Canes! Your iced tea is fantastic!”

Food now is always hot, and fresh. They have made this McDonald's the way McDonald's is to be enjoyed. I was impressed when an order had hot fries and hot mcnuggets, which I figured one would be warm or cold. This McDonald's has been so impressive I keep coming back cause when McDonald's is good, it's a great. I wanted to try the kraut bc its homemade so I asked for a side of kraut but got a side of slaw .. I may have actually said slaw and didnt realize it but thats the only thing I didnt get a chance to try.. I will definitely be back to order again and try the homemade kraut.... great food.. great concept..great execution...”
