I walked in last Wednesday and met the owners they were great, I was looking for a larger cake 23+ people and on short notice. Not only did they accommodate they gave me a couple suggestions and the finished product looked amazing and tasted phenomenal. It was definitely a crowd pleaser. Thanks to James and Andrew and their team for making turning 40 a little more delicious!”

Great meal and afterwards when our waiter found out it was my birthday, he brought over a menu with numerous choices for a complimentary dessert. I chose the cheesecake and it arrived with a beautiful blueberry sauce, a sparkler and message of best wishes!! 😮 It was amazing and if that wasn’t enough, he also gave me a birthday card from all the restaurant staff. Not a, "from all of us here at Chop", everyone had signed it personally!! Also included was a business card with a voucher for complimentary steak bites on the other side. They went above and beyond, it was truly appreciated and I wanted to share that Chop Hunt Club will take good care of you!!! ✅✅✅✅✅”

If you are looking for delicious kababs and true taste of afghan/middle eastern cuisine, I highly recommend trying Harir kabab house. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!”

“We had an amazing meal at Merivale Noodle House! We ordered the roasted quail, which was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. I also tried the Bún bò Huế (Hue-style beef noodle soup). The portion was huge, the broth was rich and flavorful, and it came with plenty of fresh herbs and toppings.

“We had a nice dinner here. The ramen was pretty darn good, with tasty pork and silky broth, and satisfied my partner’s craving for ramen well. The portion was exactly right. The zangi fried chicken was delicious, being perfectly between crunchy and chewy. The seaweed salad was decent, but a small portion for the not-insignificant cost of $5.50. The servers were exceptionally polite and helpful with some menu notes and alerting us to some unavailable items, such as specific cuts of pork and clarifying drink types. The ice machine was also not working, which was too bad, as my soda was warmer than I would have liked. The location is inauspicious, and the decor is not inspiring. It’s a good spot to eat, but not exceptional.”

We ordered for 30, and everyone ate so much, and kept coming back for more, and there was STILL enough food to bring home to fill a fridge! Day 3, and still on left-overs!

“May 28, We had a Surprise Party Where do I begin the food was $$ reasonable , appetizers and meals were very good, Baked Salmon, Spaghettini /homemade meatballs were a big hit !! Music by Alex Lopez was very entertaining and fun. The service was top notch, my family and friends raved about how polite and how accommodating they were. Claudia and Georgia where very organized. I brought in 3 cakes to be prepared by putting on the special cake toppers for the finishing touch and serving each patron in a timely fashion, as well as serving extra slices of cake each with sparklers and candles. They took control of the details and told me not to worry. Very professional, my family and friends were very impressed over the service and politeness. I am from Toronto , I did a lot of my arrangements over the phone, they made my job so easy. After the big damaging storm Villa Lucia lost there power like many other people in Ottawa and surrounding area. I thought I was going to have to cancel, they lost all there food in there fridge and freezer. In a day and a half they recovered and the party was on. Special Thank You to Claudia and Georgia and there staff. My rate would be 5+”

I was a teensy bit dismayed that actual maple syrup cost extra (I mean this is Canada eh) and the noise level made conversation a little difficult but I guess that’s because the place was full on a Saturday morning and of course you want it to be full! Their shop is a bit small though, so it's good to go early or call ahead to get a spot! Their pan fried buns are also perfect to re-heat in the air fryer if you get take out.”
