“Here's the pro move - they have the best stir fried noodle dish in the city - Bokkeum Jjampoong - gotta order extra noodles if sharing. We also ordered their Black-bean-sauce rice which comes with a deep fried omelette and a side bowl of their delicious Jjamppong soup.“
“If you like braised pork I highly recommend ordering takeout from here. You also get wee little discount if paying w cash. Few parking spots available in front of the restaurant.- Food: 9/10 (I ordered spicy one and bbq one. Overall loved it but wish bbq jokbal had more smokey flavour)- Portion: $55 half & half was enough to feed 3 ppl imo. I also ordered rice ball in addition.- Price: a bit pricey but thats kinda expected as Jokbal is also expensive in Korea too (not sure why but it's just like that?♀️).Anyway given the portion and the quality it was worth it for me.-Condiments&lettuce: 10/10 i was impressed with their thoughtfulness in including many sauces to pair with jokbal. Also lettuce was fresh fresh ? no wilted old lettuce-Side beansprout soup: 10/10 spicy but addictive fr.“
“There's something magical about Yonge Street after dark, and Ehwa Uptown captures that essence perfectly. My friends and I, always on the lookout for our next late-night haunt, decided to give Ehwa a try around 1 AM. To our delight, the place was buzzing with energy, yet we were lucky enough to have reserved a table for our sizable group of 12.From the moment we stepped in, the service at Ehwa was nothing short of stellar. Despite the bustling crowd, our drinks and a tantalizing array of Korean dishes arrived at our table with surprising speed. It's not every day you find a spot that combines efficiency with such a warm atmosphere, making every guest feel special despite the late hour.Ehwa's ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and lively, providing the ideal setting for late-night conversations and laughter among friends. But what truly sets Ehwa apart is its menu. The Korean cuisine here is authentic and flavorful, with each dish designed to complement the drinks menu perfectly. Whether you're in the mood for some hearty meals or just light snacks to pair with your drinks, Ehwa has you covered. For anyone wandering Yonge Street in search of a lively spot for late-night drinks and delicious Korean food, Ehwa Uptown is a must-visit. The combination of great food, drinks, and the welcoming vibe makes it a standout choice for night owls and foodies alike. My friends and I are already planning our next visit, eager to explore more of what Ehwa has to offer. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“
“3 of us came for a weekend in Toronto. Everything on the menu looks good and the choice was complicated! We finally had a rosée tteokbokki and a creamy carbonara udon. It was a delight! All 3 of us loved this order. When will we open in Montreal? :“
“I cant peak enough about the food at this place. it's by far the best value for your money. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are very reasonable for the $ they ask. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich.. you'll never go anywhere else for chicken again. Their Kim Bap is really good option. Very fresh and very healthy, my wife lives off them!!“
“Saw this place online and the food looked delicious so I went with my family. When we got there, there was a line outside but my family did not want to wait. I did insist on trying so we did walk around before it was our turn. I ordered the mandu and bibim naengmyeon. The naengmyeon was so yummy and spicy. I was surprised with the amount of spice they used because I could handle a bit of heat and this was pretty spicy to me. Just looking at the picture of the naengmyeon is making me salivate haha. As for dumplings, we found them average, the only difference from the dumplings we have had was the size. Would def come back for the spicy cold noodles again! As for seating, they really packed as much tables as they could into the space they had to accompany the amount of people coming to eat.“
“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“
“Always a great late night snack or last minute dinner option. This location is smaller than the Scarborough one but offers the same options. The Gamsung (little potatoes on the outside) is my go to option but tbh, everything here is good. You can get really creative with how you customize the toppings and sauces.“
“Really good korean chicken spot!Their 2 flavour chicken meal was definitely enough for 2 people, we barely finished!Got the garlic soy and spicy flavours10/10 especially the garlic soyTheir drinks were also great, I really enjoyed the milkis cocktail ?“
“Very cool spot for some Korean BBQ.It was my first time doing Korean BBQ and Daldongnae did not disappoint. My partner and I had heard of this place from many articles that had been praising the service and food. The atmosphere feels like you’re stepping into a spot that resembles many small restaurants that I’ve visited in Asia.Staff was quick, attentive, and helpful. The food was great and not overly expensive. It was a great dining experience to add into the mix of our regular spots. The staff gave us a great glass noddle dish to try as they were testing it out, we absolutely loved it and hope that they add it to their menu.Parking: There is a small parking lot around the back of the building. We didn’t have trouble getting a spot there, but there are limited spaces available.“
“Recently got take out from here and it was fantastic. We got the meal combo which came with the green onion tteokbokki, mixed rice, and 4 fried dumplings. We also got an order of the Kingkong kimbap because we werent sure of the portion size. The staff at the checkout was really friendly and the resto itself looks really cozy inside. First off, their prices to portion size is amazing. The total cost of the order above was only $41. The combo itself was more than enough food for 2 people. The tteokbokki was really good, very saucy and they didnt skimp out on the amount of chicken and green onion they pile on top. The only thing was that since the chicken is fried, it's not the best take out option since it gets a little soft. The mixed rice comes with shredded seaweed, sesame and mayo. We added masago to it when we got home bc we wanted a little extra flavour. The kimbap was really good as well, overall a great meal. Would definitely come back to check out their other tteokbokki flavours!“
“My go-to spot for Ramen! It's filling but not heavy or greasy like most restaurant ramen. I recommend this spot to my friends any chance I get! Also 5/5 for consistency - food is always great, staff are really friendly! Always a good day when I get to go to this Bento Box!“
“Perfect spot for a late night date adventure! That being said, it's a bit on the pricier side, considering the portions/options available, so keep that in mind.Atmosphere is amazing, very cozy and the lighting is more on the dimmer side, so it's very aesthetic altogether. The food itself was ok, I wasn't a huge fan of the fried chicken nor the potato pancake, as they were both super oily. The cheese+pork dish was nice though, bit on the spicier side but that ended up working in it's favour. They have some really nice drinks though! Very cute and tasty, though the soju is a lot more expensive than other places.“
“We have nothing but good experience here. Food was amazing, ambiance feels authentic, place was clean, service was great.. there’s even an exhaust each table. We’ll definitely come back or try their different locations and order different ones on the menu. Worth recommending!Vegetarian options: They have vegetable set, and king oyster mushroom was delicious.. all on the set were freshParking: Worth your mention: parking’s at the back, don’t use the space -left next to it, it’s not theirsWheelchair accessibility: I don’t think it’s wheelchair accessible“
“food is delicious. we ordered the boneless short ribs which were so incredibly tender. so many side dishes are brought complimentary and pair really nicely with the meal. service is ridiculously fast and the workers are all very kind and knowledgeable. :)“
“The onion fries were pretty decent and usually I don't like Korean onion powder because it's too sweet at other places. The food was decent! I could really taste the local Korean style of food. The decor is very local pocha, just like Korea with the plastic tables and chairs when they set up shop outdoors!“
“Nice lunch option if you work in one of the buildings nearby. I tried it for the first time and got the daily lunch special which happened to be 8pcs of uramaki, 5pcs of gyoza and miso soup today. The food was fresh and delicious, the price was reasonable and the lady working there was really sweet. I'll definitely be grabbing lunch here again.“
“First time going here this month to celebrate our yearly anniversary with my boyfriend. The interior is really nice and calm unlike other Korean restaurants that play very loud music and are very crowded which I don't like. It is very close to Sheppard Yonge station and other amenities. The food was a 10/10 and they were very nice and greeted us like a family. We got the spicy jokbal and regular both are very delicious and tender! They also offer free refills for the sides and they offer free soup to which we didn't know was included! Also, we had the rice balls and they pair very well with the Jokbal. Will surely come back and try other items here. Highly recommend ?“
“This is the best pocca I have ever had in GTA. It tastes like I'm at a Korean pocca or food vendor. It's a small building with a small seating area. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready on time. It kept its heat for the 25 minute ride home with no need to reheat. Will absolutely be coming back again and again.“
“Highly recommend this place.Food is amazing, and service is even better.Donkatsh is not greasy and very crisp.Very satisfied and enjoy my lunch.HOMEMADE TTEOKALBI is a new menu, and they gave us a sample to try. Wow!!! So delicious ?I bought one to cook home ?“
