“Here's the pro move - they have the best stir fried noodle dish in the city - Bokkeum Jjampoong - gotta order extra noodles if sharing. We also ordered their Black-bean-sauce rice which comes with a deep fried omelette and a side bowl of their delicious Jjamppong soup.“
“Great al dente noodles, fresh, hand pulled in the store. Very attentive service. I liked the little bonuses - a basket to hold your jacket and bags; a bib to avoid splashing my clothes. About 8 tables. Clean washrooms. GreenP street parking.“
“I’ve gotten takeout 3 times off Uber for dinner and I am someone who enjoys getting takeout.Service:I’m always genuinely surprised by the level of service provided even for takeout. The food seems to be prepared as the orders come because even when ordering a bit ahead of time, I usually arrive just as they are packaging everything and it takes about 5 minutes to get my food. Once I get my takeout, they open their door for me if my hands are occupied EVERY SINGLE TIME.I can’t speak to dine-in service as I’ve never dined in but I wouldn’t hesitate. They come off as very caring and kind people.Food:As hinted above, it seems to be prepped to order because even after I drive home, I’ll usually eat the food after about 30 mins due to other priorities and it is still hot/warm. If you like spicy, medium or extra spicy is really good. I always order the beef noodle soup and it just has incredible flavours especially paired with their spice.Highly recommend for noodle lovers and spice lovers.“
“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“
“Appreciate reply from owner. Looks like some not-so-smart people who don't know what they are doing said Halal in reviews so I thought maybe owner told them it is.Please note this is NOT a Halal food establishment.(Although one day would love to try Halal version of these dishes!)*Original Review*Halal??? Literally serves pork. Owners reply then I delete this review.“
“Next to our school in Oxford, I come here to eat every day. My favorites are tomato rice noodles, stir-fried yellow beef and wolf-toothed potatoes. The tomato soup is very rich and the beef is very tender. I really want to eat the wolf-toothed potatoes once.“
“Really good HK noodle restaurant that seems authentic and uses fresh ingredients. Portion sizes are large and prices are reasonable, with a good menu selection. They also offer frozen dim sum and fried fish skins for sale. The restaurant a bit small, so expect to wait during busy times. The waitresses speak Cantonese. They only take cash or debit. I will return to try more of the menu.“
“Omni Noodle at Fairview Mall is a gem for noodle lovers. Their Chinese ramen noodles are delicious, and they offer authentic Halal options. I love that you can choose the thickness of your noodles. The Braised Beef with mid-round noodles is a must-try, but their dumplings, spring noodles, and stir fry are also fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming, and everyone in our group left highly satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasty meal!“
“【Eating in Toronto】If you want to eat authentic Guilin rice noodles, you must visit Yixiaoguan in Green Building, North York, address: 11 Bogert Ave, North York, ON M2N 0H3.First of all, the brine must be authentic, and more than 20 kinds of spices are indispensable. Secondly, the pot cooking must be authentic, and the process must be meticulous. The boss and the proprietress are very nice, and will tell you how to eat each snack, making a snack bar full of fun of food culture.Hot and sour fried rice noodles is also one of the specialties here. Have you ever eaten hot and sour fried rice noodles without vinegar? It turned out to be the sour taste of sour bamboo shoots, delicious and delicious, oily but not greasy. The deliciousness is not a little bit, and the Wuhan hot and dry noodles in Yixiaoguan are also delicious. Even I, a Wuhan native, have to give a thumbs up to Yixiaoguan.“
“Hadn't had Pho in a LONG time. This place hits it outta the park. Wonderful friendly staff, greeted with a Warm welcome. Promptly seated. Order taken within minutes. Piping hot green jasmine tea. The Pho and fresh toppings are amazing. Look forward to the next pho top up.“
“Oh my God, this restaurant was one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to ? My boyfriend and I literally had a feast there, ordering many things cause the prices were amazingly good, and everything was absolutely amazing ? We had such a good time; the vibe and atmosphere were amazing. All the staff were very, very friendly, and we highly recommend this place. I really liked the skewers, stir-fried noodles, and the fish balls. They were so yummy ? We really loved it. Also, you can check out my Instagram page for more restaurants, cafés, and places in Toronto. I post many contents and ideas there ? @melinmorad“
“Water sashimi!!!!!!!! This is the only raw fish dish you can taste in Toronto. Please don't get rid of the raw fish menu and keep selling it. When I was pregnant, the thing I wanted to eat the most was raw fish, but I couldn't eat it, so it remained in my heart. It's so nice to be able to eat raw fish that tastes as similar to Korean as possible. It was worth driving for an hour. They said it's for one person, but it's so big that even two people would be full. I think I'll go there often whenever I think of it.“
“This is the best pocca I have ever had in GTA. It tastes like I'm at a Korean pocca or food vendor. It's a small building with a small seating area. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready on time. It kept its heat for the 25 minute ride home with no need to reheat. Will absolutely be coming back again and again.“
“Best authentic and delicious pho. They dont skimp on any of the ingredients. Great seating area. The parking in this plaza is very hard to get a spot. The food here is good. I would highly recomend. The number 1 dish to try is the main pho it comes out within minutes and very tasty. I go here when i can.“
“Very deliciousYou have to wait 20 minutes to grill the fish, but it’s worth itRecommended: lychee grilled fish, durian scones, Langya potatoesThis Langya potato is really delicious. It's not raw, it's pink and glutinous. The lychee grilled fish sounds weird, but it tastes like fish-flavored grilled fish. The fish is Qingjiang fish, which has no fishy smell and is very fragrant, although it is not very tender. But it’s still rare to have a grilled fish festival in TorontoSteamed Pork Ribs: It’s also quite delicious, but I can’t get used to it because of my eating habits. It feels a bit strange.Mixed bean sprouts: very light and refreshingDurian scone: delicious, especially delicious. The cheese and durian are so abundant that it’s hard to eat even if you want to eat it.Overall, the food is not big and tastes good. You can try more things.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Just askParking: Plenty of parking lots at the door“
“Absolute beauty of a place, serving up dumplings noodles and assorted dim sum dishes. They have a small eat in counter but this is primarily a takeout and delivery spot. We had a few plates of dumpling and split the Szechuan style hot and sour noodles. All was great.“
“My gf and I were on the hunt for some thai food in North York after a summer yelp event nearby. And would you happen to know, we stumbled on the best thai place in North York! Tucked away next to Hero Burger at Yonge and Sheppard in a tiny unit which stretches back. You walk in and the ventilation is not great haha (it's quite humid). The drinks are definitely way more worth it in terms of value compared to it's other counterparts (they're big). I ordered a thai iced green tea and it was very refreshing! Not sweet at all.Crispy pork pad thai: It's not often you find crispy pork belly as an option for pad thai at places, so we opted to try. The pork was crackly, succulent and fatty. The noodles were nice and strong on the tamarind flavour. This was a great pad thai. Si Lom Thai Bistro (downtown) is the only other thai place I know that has a unique protein option (soft shell crab) for pad thai.Khao soi w/ chicken (mild): The broth is really, really good here. That being said, does it beat the broth at Pai Northern Thai (downtown) or Isaan Der's in Richmond Hill? Nahh. One tier below hehe. They put a lot of chicken in it though. So that's bonus marks.Service was excellent! There was always at least 1 server wandering around to collect empty plates/dishes and provide extra utensils/napkins.The other thing I absolutely loved was 15% CASH DISCOUNT. Bruhhhh that's so good.I think I'll pay a visit to the other BKK Thai location next time as their menu seems like it has a lil couple, extra items on it that this location doesn't have.“
“Parking: Parking lot is very busy and they are like 10 to 12 spots but besides is a Western Union, laundromat, nails salon and another place so you have to have patienceKid-friendliness: Well they speak English with strong Chinese accent but you can understand them plus they will explain anything you need to know ?“
“Just ordered via UrberEat - good portion and flavour, clean presentation which are the important 3 elements for take out. Some dishes are on promotion and they didn’t cheap out on the portion which shows good business sense (I will never order again from places that do that). Son, the Canadian born likes the Chicken Leg lunch and I enjoy more authentic dishes - it’s rare to find a restaurant we all enjoy so will order again!“
“Great place to visit, especially during winter time! I’ve been here several times since many years ago but I decided to leave a comment after this visit. The fish soup rice noodle taste extremely well. I finished it within 15 min and I was sweaty after the meal. The price is amazing. You get a rice noodle and a drink at the price $15.75, it’s hard to find anything cheaper in Toronto now. In a word, it’s a great place to go for a fast meal. The service is just like any Cantonese restaurant, nothing special. I’m just here for a fast meal anyways so idc too much about service“
“Lowkey spot for Chinese food - they have almost everything that Congee Queen would have on the menu, but for cheaper! They have a daily promo going on that for each day of the week, a certain dish is for a set price (cash and dine in only, 1 order per table) - we went on Wednesday so a steamed tilapia was for $13.99Note that dessert doesn’t come with any meals“
“Excellent Chinese restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially Lanzhou beef noodles. My girlfriend and I often lunch her, and because of the pandemic, we are now ordering delivery. Very fast, tasty and not expensive. ps. You should definitely try fried noodles, chunks of lamb, and barbecue skewers.“
