“The atmosphere was calm and chill . But the main part was the food . it was amazing we tried the salmon avado sushi pizza I recommend you to try it .with dessert its going the best food ever and also the service was amazingthe food Is from heaven ?? ?“
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our five-year-old daughter spotted the place; so on a whim we tried it, and we love it. Now we come as a family all the time. There is such a wide variety of food choices, everything is so tasty. Little Kamaria’s favourite is the Seafood Bat Pizza, I can’t get enough of the Korean wings. Mom loves their unique take on Nachos. Each visit we’ll try another new dish! The staff are super friendly too.“
“What can i say, a magical place with incredible staff. Who will always be there for you in a heartbeat. Not to mention mouth watering food that touches both your heart and has the stomach saying thanks. All and all its a gem which you must come and try.“
“There food is delicious! My favorite is the Sukiyaki wafu. It seemed weird ordering a pasta at a Japanese restaurant but it's fushion and so good that I get cravings all the time. There sushi tacos are also really good. It's wrapped in tempura dipped seaweed, which I wish I could recreate at home. The price is expensive so I don't get it as often as I would like, but it's totally worth the price.“
“A tiniest place with the most fresh sushi!I guess my Mom and I got lucky to get a table. Every other person who came in after us got turned away because they had reservations. There is lots of people in and out either looking for a table or takeout. The staff were very nice and always available for your needs. The food was delicious and flavorful.Food came fast and very hot (temperature). I love my food very hot, so this made me very happy.Parking was a bit of a challenge. There are no spots on the main road. You can park on the side streets but will have to walk to the main road which isn’t far, but on a cold or wet day it might not be ideal for some.Parking: Parking was a bit of a challenge. There are no spots on the main road. “Great value, lovely atmosphere & service, and most importantly, incredible food. The sushi was fresh and super flavourful, the takoyaki was one of the best I’ve ever had, the homemade gyoza & miso soup were dynamite. Will definitely be coming back!“
“Located inside Empress Walk on the second floor, always wanted to see how it stacked up to Gyubee. We were charged holiday price for Easter Monday lunch, which came out to about $40 each after tax and tip.Food was pretty good overall. Our group really enjoyed the miso marinated kalbi short rib and ordered a lot of it. The kimchi here is pretty good, but the bibimbap isn't as good. Also don't love that you have to pick between soft serve or melona for dessert. Service was decent, the staff were pretty attentive about grill changes but not so much about removing empty dishes from our table. One thing we didn't love was we ordered chicken thighs and when it came, it was mixed in the same plate with other meats like beef and sausage. Just better in my opinion to separate them to reduce the risk of getting sick.“
“Honestly the best sushi places I’ve ever gone. I’m not much of a sushi lover, I go to the occasional Japanese restaurant and get maybe a couple of pieces but they never really fit my palette. Like places like Ichiban, or Sushi Moto, etc were never really interesting. But after discovering this absolute whole in the wall I can’t stop eating. As I’m writing this in the past 24 hours I’ve basically eaten half a platter of their sushi completely on my own. The staff are all amazing people always having an amazing time and really make you feel included and appreciated as a customer. I now go on an almost daily to weekly basis and always order the spicy or the creamy crab rolls exclusively but their huge platters are amazing for parties and gatherings. If you want amazing sushi and the fun and humour from a hibachi restaurant go to VIP sushi they’re cheaper and the experience is way betterDietary restrictions: They’re very accommodating always doing what they can to make sure I eat what I can and exclude everything I can’tKid-friendliness: The staff are always friendly and treat children with the utmost care always saying hi and waving and making them feel comfortable in the busy environment. Earlier today a customer had come in with their shh daughter and by the time the sushi was ready the little girl was sad to leave as all the staff had made such a fun environmentWheelchair accessibility: Door may not fit a wheelchair but they will walk out and hand you your order or do what they can to accommodate you the best they can“
“Received our beautiful Care Box, so much kind attention to detail. The Chef is extremely talented on so many levels. Journey of flavours, rice still fluffy and hot, homemade sesame tofu my favourite. Brought a delicious, joyous and uplifting taste of Japanese spring into our little home. Truly something special, thank you!“
“I don’t live near Shinobu, it sometimes take me an hour to get there to pick up. This is the best place for authentic Japanese Sushi in Toronto. Always consistent fair prices and made with love and pride. Its worth the drive.?❤️?yes its 2023?Shinobu is still just as good as ever?☀️and I’m sure 2024 will be as great as ever☀️❤️???Happy New Year ?“
“Decent place to satiate my craving for sushi rolls and ramen. Ramen prices are around $13.99 to $15.99, and I take advantage of the sushi rolls daily special for $9.99.Portion size is good and they add lots of toppings, and the broth is tasty.“
“The food is good. Unfortunately they fry everything including tempura bits and vegetable tempura in the same oil they fry the pork katsu in. So muslim and vegeterian can't eat there unless they don't care. Just wondering why they don't have a seperate fryer for tempura bits and vegetables.Vegetarian options: Need to have separate oil for vegetarian dishes.Dietary restrictions: As a muslim it is not possible to eat there specially that they use same fryer for tempura bits and vegetable tempura for pork meat. This applies to muslim Jews and vegetarians unless some don't care.“
“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“
“Honest to God, I have been going to all you can eat sushi for about 15 years and this is one of the best locations that I have ever been to. Both the bathroom was clean and so was the restaurant. I can’t even recommend what to get because I really liked everything. But my favorite for sure was the Fried milk Dessert and the muscles and the egg and the shrimp tempura and the green tea ice cream.“
“Feeling pretty stupid as I've lived in the area for a few years now but only tried this place today. Whenever I walk by it always seems pretty quiet, but with an experience like this I hope it gets more business! We ordered two of the sushi/sashimi dinner combos (B and C) and both were delicious. Generous portions of fish and it all tasted fresh. I think they even gave a few extra pieces of sashimi. The salad and soup were also both nice.Service was great. Everyone here is really friendly and nice.Atmosphere definitely catered to my tastes, which was classic rock music and they turned the hockey game on the TV ?. Will be back for sure! Also shares a name with one of the best anime characters ever ?“
“Torch Pressed Sushi is changing how I think about sushi! Their pressed style isn't just visually stunning, but the light char from the torch gives each piece this delightful smoky depth. Unique sauces and textures take it to another level. If you love sushi and want a new and exciting way to enjoy it, this is the place for you.“
“Tonight was my second time dining here and so far both times were for my parents' birthday. This time I brought a cake and they graciously came out and sang happy birthday for my mom! I really appreciated this gesture as not many restaurants are willing to accommodate outside food which I completely understand. Needless to say, service is impeccable and warm at this restaurant. The food is a notch above any Japanese restaurant in the GTA. The tempura is simple but obviously well executed. We ordered a sashimi platter both times but tried other dishes too like the fried soft shell crab which was very delicate and easy to eat for people too lazy to crack a shell. It's a small restaurant so the food does take longer but I think the pace is more relaxed and suited to the atmosphere :) the price reflects the diversity of their ingredients and dishes as I don't think there are many places serving monkfish liver and deep fried crab alongside imported sashimi. Overall, highly recommend for a special occasion!“
“Went to this restaurant this Wednesday with the kids and had a great time. Great quality food, generous server, and great overall vibe.We tried the Maki Platter C and Spicy Sashimi Don both were served to perfection. Beautiful plating and decorations with flare.Overall 10/10 recommend to go visit. Won’t regret it!Vegetarian options: Diverse options for the vegetarians out there. Very inclusiveParking: Plenty of space. Best of all, FREE!Kid-friendliness: Brought my kids and the server was very friendly“
“The flavor of sushi is wonderful. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and the service is fast. The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was the size of the roll, it's too big and becomes uncomfortable to chew. I had to ask for a takeout box to eat at home. Overall, it was great!“
“Food was excellent, the dishes paired perfectly with the drinks that were on menu. You can tell that the chef has specially curated each item and didn’t necessarily choose things out of popularity. For example, the sparkling jasmine tea was fantastic.. I later tried to find this drink but was quite disappointed that it’s a very difficult item to get!One item was very interesting - the futomaki was not like any other I have had before. In fact, I don’t personally enjoy it much but really did when the chef made his version of it.We had tried the premium lunch omakase. We would love to come back. Staff were attentive and nice. It’s quite a relatively large restaurant for such a small seating.. the ones downtown a much smaller - but you also get to see everything (a lot of their fridges were in the preparation area).“
“This Japanese sushi and udon restaurant offers a delectable culinary experience. The sushi is fresh and expertly prepared, while the udon dishes are flavorful and comforting. However, compared to similar establishments, the prices for sushi are a bit on the higher side. Despite this, the quality of the food justifies the cost, making it a worthwhile dining destination for sushi and udon enthusiasts alike.“
“Tried their Chicken Duo Curry as part of their Holiday Special. The Chicken Karaage were large pieces and easily made up for the smaller amount of braised chicken in the curry. The curry sauce went well with the karaage and with the rice, along with the added vegetables as sides.Overall was fairly decent and the portion size was just okay for one. The Holiday Special of $12.99 (as of this review date) for all curries and stews in store made this good value.“
“The food is delicious and reminded me of when I was living in Japan, when they give you so many little side dishes with your main dish. I got the mackerel bento (in the $31 4 course dinner meal) and it was so good, although I didn't realize it would have so many bones so it was a bit inconvenient to eat. Definitely recommend this place, for the food, vibes (lots of good edm on the sound system), and service. And for the price, it's so worth it. Most of the entrees were $15 or less!“
“My go-to spot for Ramen! It's filling but not heavy or greasy like most restaurant ramen. I recommend this spot to my friends any chance I get! Also 5/5 for consistency - food is always great, staff are really friendly! Always a good day when I get to go to this Bento Box!“
“Top tier sushi. Great vegetarian options. They are humble and always try to make it right if you let them know they made a mistake. In my journey I have tried other places, even other Kibo Sushi but always end up coming back here. Excellent spicy chicken karaage, even if it could be more spicy. I appreciate this business and all who work hard to make it great! 'Dine in' seating is limited though.“
“Good priced food for what you get! The lady who works there is always very nice. I usually order the fried rice noodle with beef, and it literally tastes the same as other places but at a good price (my suggestion though would be to ask for more sauce in this dish). This place is more like a grab' n go spot would not take a date here but love eating here alone or when I need a quick bite!“
“Nice lunch option if you work in one of the buildings nearby. I tried it for the first time and got the daily lunch special which happened to be 8pcs of uramaki, 5pcs of gyoza and miso soup today. The food was fresh and delicious, the price was reasonable and the lady working there was really sweet. I'll definitely be grabbing lunch here again.“
“Water sashimi!!!!!!!! This is the only raw fish dish you can taste in Toronto. Please don't get rid of the raw fish menu and keep selling it. When I was pregnant, the thing I wanted to eat the most was raw fish, but I couldn't eat it, so it remained in my heart. It's so nice to be able to eat raw fish that tastes as similar to Korean as possible. It was worth driving for an hour. They said it's for one person, but it's so big that even two people would be full. I think I'll go there often whenever I think of it.“
“Love the food here. Service is great too. Wish there was a Nome is Markham. I also want to shout out to chris for being a great help. 5 stars because of her superior service and positive attitude. Thank you for taking our last minute call orders on Monday night. See you soon :)“
“I have been to this location many times. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and the food is always amazing. Went with a small group on a Tuesday night and tried the Ultimate AYCE option for the first time which was 100% worth the upgrade from the Premium menu . The food was brought out quickly and the meats were fresh and flavoured to perfection. I also recommend trying the garlic shio cabbage! The dessert options were great with a toasty s’more and refreshing ice-cream after a delicious meal. Will definitely come back and highly recommend!“
“Can't resist the umami of Deluxe Chirashi Don, had ordered multiple times from different delivery platforms. Always go for the deluxe one because worth it, not the normal one tho. I also like the randomness of the tuna in the don, there's chance you will get otoro.“
“Noah Kosher Sushi makes some of the best sushi I've ever had. Period. I always get the raw fish variety (Salomon or Tuna) and sometimes the cooked ones in addition. The fish is always fresh and tasty. The prices for a tray are comparable to other places and are generally affordable. The establishment is clean and tidy and the stuff is very friendly and approachable. However, Noah sets itself apart primarily by taste: it's absolutely delightedly yummy. I sometimes go out of my way in order to pass by them, just to come in and buy a tray of sushi.“
“This takeaway party tray is the best sushi party tray I have ever tasted in the GTA area. It even reminds me a little bit of the feeling of eating sushi in Japan. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try.呢間外賣嘅party tray係我喺GTA地區食過最好食嘅壽司party tray,甚至令我有少少諗起喺日本食嘅感覺,高度推薦大家試一試。“
“Their Canadian Uni is simply the best and tasted very sweet. The Botan Ebi Shrimp there are very fresh as well. The Maki Rolls are also amazing. Spicy Chopped Scallop Sushi is always my favourite while in Canada. What they have is great but could have less mayo in it and it is a little too spicy for me and my wife. Overall it’s highly recommended. Well done Chef!“
“We found this joint on Google after a long walk in High Park looking at Cherry Blossoms :) I have to say the place was very clean, spacious, packed with people and inviting environment. The food was supeeeer fresh and delivered quickly to our table. It tasted excellent with a great variety of dishes. We would definitely recommend this place and would return again for delicious dim sum and sushi :)Parking: It's situated in the plaza with ample parking options!“
