“A wonderful experience today, as my wife and I visited the cozy/tucked away Korean restaurant for the very first time! The food was great and reasonably portioned and priced - not overly fatty or spicy...just right in my opinion. The wait staff was friendly and did their best to make me and my wife feel comfortable and welcome ?. The only thing that was amiss was the fact this gem of a place was too hidden. Being only a year in business may be the reason but perhaps more visible signage would bring more of those looking for great food and a warm smile.“

“This is a family-run take-out-only shop located alongside Highway 7. Parking is minimal but sufficient, given they only offer take-out. The options available here are solid, offering staples at price points more affordable than most other Korean restaurants and they have a variety of family set combos and raw BBQ meat to go options. I love their pork bone soup. The tender meat easily separates as you bite into it, and there was about 3-4 large pieces. The potato is soft and the soup is perfectly seasoned. Accompanied by fluffy white rice, it's a delicious combination. Their sides include fish cakes, half an egg, one of the best kimchi I've had, and japchae. At times, they also offer a super yummy potato salad side dish. This place is definitely worth trying! They have lunch specials listed for $12.99 *in-store* from Monday - Friday 10:30AM-2PM for: Bulgogi Dupbap, Chicken Dupbap, Jaeyuk Dupbap, Bibimbap, HaeMul SoonTofu, KamJaTang saving you $2-3!“

“Tried this place for the first time as a girls night out. Parking can be a little tricky. There is a lot of people visiting this plaza so above ground parking is usually full. They do have an underground parking though. Ambiance - 4/5: it is a small and narrow store front but they can seat quite a few tables. We asked to switch tables because the original area was cold since it was close to the door and they were willing to do so. They only have 1 universal bathroom but it's clean and spacious. The servers spoke in Chinese and English. And they had Cantonese songs playing in the background the whole night. Made me feel like singing karaoke haha. Service - 4/5: their service was pretty good. They are quick and if they are serving someone else, they will acknowledge your request but will ask you to give them time. If the whole table pays by cash on one bill, you get a 5% discount. Food - 4/5: They had garlic seaweed, thinly sliced daikon (or white radish), dangmyeon (glass noodles We ordered the seaweed roll (gimbap) and seafood pancake to share. Individually, we ordered a chicken katsu bento, mackerel bento, pork bone soup (mild spice) and army stew (regular spice). I was debated between the pork bone soup or mackerel bento but opted for the pork bone soup. It did look really good though. My friend says it was good but got a mouthful of fins at one point. The gimbap was good. It fell apart sometimes, depending on how you picked it up with your chopsticks. I personally did not have an issue. They give you 8 big pieces. The seafood pancake was ok for me. I liked that the outside was very crispy. But the inside, I found quite wet. The pork bone soup - it was a big portion and definitely filling. Mild spice was very spicy for me. It definitely cleared up my sinuses. They had 2 big bones, 1 potato and 2 long cabbage pieces. The meat was tender but unfortunately, it was not fall of the bone. I still needed to use my hands. It also came with a bowl of rice. Overall: 4/5 - I recommend this place!“

“Came here for quick lunch on Sat, not too busy at 2pm. Seating was ok, food came fairly quickly. Ordered tofu soup, pork bone soup and kimbap to share among 3 people. Tofu soup was pretty good, same with kimbap. The pork bone soup was not as hot as the tofu soup, and not enough soup. I asked for extra spicy which means more spicy flakes were added, a little disappointed although subjective.Service was excellent, overall worth a visit.“

“This takeout spot is hidden in a small shopping mall that doesn't seem to get much traffic on weekdays. It's a nice chill atmosphere if you decide to eat at the food court. Plenty of seating. We ordered 6pc soy garlic chicken combo with cheesling fries and rose cupbokki combo with honey garlic chicken. The portions and pieces of chicken were huge! But the real highlight is how crispy the chicken is. We've enjoyed many Korean fried chicken joints around Markham but this is the crispiest, even with the sauces. I found the honey garlic sauce quite sweet but it was still tasty. Cupbokki came with hardboiled egg, fish cakes, and broccoli. It had a lot of sauce and the tteok had great texture. If you decide to take the food to go or have leftovers, there is no issue because everything is packaged well and the chicken stays crispy too.“

“I recently came in for a weekday lunch with a friend and tried their set lunch for 2 (ssam-bap jungsik). The servers were very friendly and helpful with ordering and they made sure that banchan refill (limited to 2 times) was done promptly. The banchans were all were prepared; my friend who tried Korean food for the first time loved the eggplant side dish. I loved that they offered the soybean stews in individual earthen bowls. Their spicy and non-spicy pork bulgogi were also very well done with just the perfect amount of marinade. Accompanying veggies for wraps were also plentiful so we didn't have to ask for a refill. We also ordered steamed Korean dumplings which were packed with meat, tofu and veggies. This was so delicious! I don't normally order dumplings when I go out because it's usually the store bought ones that are steamed or friend but here, it was made in house and the quality was definitely there. I am looking forward to returning to try out more of their new menu items soon.“

“"Absolutely phenomenal experience at 100 Chicken! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of deliciously seasoned chicken filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of my order was just right. As for the chicken itself, it was cooked to perfection - juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of classic fried chicken or prefer something a bit more adventurous, their menu has something for everyone. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with your visit to 100 Chicken!"“

“Gotta get the Rose rice cakes dish! (note: it does come with sausage and bacon and I'm not sure if you can ask for a substitution) I'd be happy to have plain fried chicken and just dip it into the sauce all day long! Also recommend the galbi flavour (tastes like honey garlic sauce) and it's soooo good!“

“Always love the food and service at this location. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. I like that it is more spacious than other locations so I never have to worry about waiting too long for a table. It is my go to spot for authentic and tasty Korean food. Some of my favourites are KamJaTang, JapChae, Bulgogi and LA Kalbi. Next time will try the Korean friend chicken!“

“My wife and I went there for the first time on a recommendation and boy.. we weren't disappointed. We ordered the small portion table top hot pot style Porkbone Soup called Gamjatang. It was this fantastic broth that came loaded with vegetables, noodles, potatoes, and a portion of meat that would serve a family of 4 easily IMO!!To make it even better, they brought side dishes to eat with the dish that they kept replenishing for us!! Even when the soup was looking low they brought us more broth!!!My wife and I were astonished with the Service, the flavor and the portions!! We will be back again to try other things on the menu. We feel that for your money, you are getting extremely good value“

“Here's the pro move - they have the best stir fried noodle dish in the city - Bokkeum Jjampoong - gotta order extra noodles if sharing. We also ordered their Black-bean-sauce rice which comes with a deep fried omelette and a side bowl of their delicious Jjamppong soup.“

“Not your typical AYCE BBQFood 4/5: Pork bone soup was perfectly flavourful. Beef bulgogi was on the sweet side but very juicy and tender. Pork dishes (aside from spicy pork)were very under seasoned but still delicious. Side dishes were on point very authentic korean dishes. You get full really fast with their servings.Service 3/5: Language barriers! Was brought different items that was asked for. Also service was pretty slow. We were there for early dinner around 5pm. Only had three other tables, yet everything was slow.Atmosphere 3/5: not well ventilated for a bbq place. You will smell of korean dishes by the time you finish. Clean and friendly.Overall 3.5/5: Love the food everything was very tasty. Will recommend to friends and wouldn’t mind coming back.“

“Visited for the first time on a Thursday afternoon and they still had a good selection of items but I feel like they have more items earlier in the day. The staff was friendly, answered peoples questions, and made sure everyone who bought something knew how to reheat the items at home if they weren’t eating in store.Loved that they had samples where you could try their injeolmi which I appreciated! I mostly took my order to go but had an iced injeolmi latte in store and loved the flavours. I wished I asked if they had different milk options before ordering though, I asked after and they do have whole milk or oat milk (unsure if oat milk is extra though)They have a second floor seating area that I’ll check out next time. From the looks of it there is municipal parking available on the street. It’s not wheelchair accessible sadly. Will update this review when I try out the salt bread, dacqouise, and other items I purchased.“

“I recently visited a new restaurant with some friends during their soft opening. They had special combo orders available, so we decided to order the Godeunguh Gui Jeong sik, Korean-style sausage soup, and Bo Ssam. We were particularly impressed by their kimchi. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't yet have an alcohol license. However, the service was quite attentive, with a call button available for assistance. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation, with background music at a comfortable level. I plan on returning to try their lunch special, particularly their bibimbap.“

“Authentic food and fast service! Fried chicken's marinade could have been better, but it was still solid. “This is a wonderful little sushi restaurant in Scarborough. My friend and I prefer to come here on our own, and a couple of times when Niji was too busy. The food is great! “I recently had the pleasure of discovering Kordog, and I must say, it has quickly become my go-to spot for the most delightful corn dogs in Toronto. I had the pleasure of eating the original Korean corn dog and the banana flavoured boba with tteok-bokki. The food tasted amazing and it was delivered rather quickly. I really loved the food here and the friendliness of the workers and the clean and friendly atmosphere. I definitely would be coming back here, and I happily rate this place a 5/5.Parking: Lots of parking space & easy to park.Kid-friendliness: Workers here are very friendly. “If you like braised pork I highly recommend ordering takeout from here. You also get wee little discount if paying w cash. Few parking spots available in front of the restaurant.- Food: 9/10 (I ordered spicy one and bbq one. Overall loved it but wish bbq jokbal had more smokey flavour)- Portion: $55 half & half was enough to feed 3 ppl imo. I also ordered rice ball in addition.- Price: a bit pricey but thats kinda expected as Jokbal is also expensive in Korea too (not sure why but it's just like that?♀️).Anyway given the portion and the quality it was worth it for me.-Condiments&lettuce: 10/10 i was impressed with their thoughtfulness in including many sauces to pair with jokbal. Also lettuce was fresh fresh ? no wilted old lettuce-Side beansprout soup: 10/10 spicy but addictive fr.“

“The food is really good. The service is nice but there is one waitress that is not professional at all, she did not “allow” us to buy (pay extra) and take out our own leftovers and proceeded to tell us order less next time, and constantly telling us to hurry up even though it wasn’t even close to closing time. I would go back again for the great food but this lady makes the experience much less enjoyable.“

“Hidden Gem: Authentic Sushi Delight"Tucked away on a quiet street, this small mom and pop sushi joint is a true hidden gem. My friend and I popped in for lunch on a weekday, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The menu offered a variety of options, and we decided to mix and match with some a la carte selections. Let me tell you, each and every dish was a delight for the taste buds. The sushi rolls were expertly crafted, bursting with freshness and flavor. Every bite was a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs. But it wasn't just the sushi that impressed us. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, showcasing the quality of the seafood. Each slice was so fresh, it practically tasted like it had just been plucked from the ocean. And let's talk about the service. Despite being a small establishment, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. From their warm welcome to their attentive care throughout the meal, we felt truly valued as customers. In a world of flashy, overpriced sushi chains, this mom and pop joint is a breath of fresh air. If you're craving authentic, delicious sushi served with a side of genuine hospitality, look no further. This place is a must-visit for any sushi lover looking to indulge in a truly satisfying culinary experience.“

“Saw this place online and the food looked delicious so I went with my family. When we got there, there was a line outside but my family did not want to wait. I did insist on trying so we did walk around before it was our turn. I ordered the mandu and bibim naengmyeon. The naengmyeon was so yummy and spicy. I was surprised with the amount of spice they used because I could handle a bit of heat and this was pretty spicy to me. Just looking at the picture of the naengmyeon is making me salivate haha. As for dumplings, we found them average, the only difference from the dumplings we have had was the size. Would def come back for the spicy cold noodles again! As for seating, they really packed as much tables as they could into the space they had to accompany the amount of people coming to eat.“

“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. “I'm not a huge fan of katsu but my friend really enjoys it so we came here for a quick dinner. I got the cheese katsu and it was yummy. The batter tasted different from other Katsu's I've had but I liked it a lot and it goes well with the curry sauce! The jam that came with it was a bit of an odd combo...not bad but I personally wouldn't eat it with the jam. The portions are also massive! “The king size dumplings are super tasty and the kimichi tastes super fresh. Highly recommend in term of the quality of the food and the dumplings are about $1-2 dollars cheaper than the other one. It tastes not as salty than the others nearby but its not as big (that has terrible customer service) that sells the same thing. Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. The food was great and not overly expensive. It was a great dining experience to add into the mix of our regular spots. The staff gave us a great glass noddle dish to try as they were testing it out, we absolutely loved it and hope that they add it to their menu.Parking: There is a small parking lot around the back of the building.
