“We've been here a few times in the last few months and are always happy. The roasted red pepper soup was amazing! The other dishes were all super tasty. The service is always quick and kind. The food has always been fast but also very well plated and tasty. Even though one half is a bar, the all age dining area is not loud. Street parking was plentiful.“

The lobster olivieh (on the special menu) was a star! The Zakuskis both hot and cold were amazing. The wine list was great! You can't leave without trying some vodka obviously. “Fuego Underground is indeed "Fire!" I've been to dozens of Speakeasy establishments in New York, Las Vegas, and even in Central America. Fuego Underground has easily become a top 5 favorite experience for me!It isn't secreted behind an unmarked door or hidden behind a business front, but it has an authentic feel of a Speakeasy from the 20s and 30s. The servers are dressed as flappers, and the interior of the Underground beneath De Fuego bar attached to the Monarch hotel in Clackamas is opulent yet tasteful and reminiscent of the era. There is live piano music at opening, and smooth jazz trios and featured artists later in the evening.The service is on point. Everyone embraces the spirit of the experience being created within the Fuego Underground. The cocktails are heavily weighted toward the whiskey and bourbon drinking crowd, yet all drinks are given the prohibition era spin in presentation. The entrees are predominantly various cuts of beef with some exceptions, and they are of equal quality to any high-end steak house in Portland. The sides are varied and better than most compared to, say, El Goucho or Ringside. I had a Gâteau au Chocolat for desert that was delicious! (even though I had to take it home and eat it 2 hours later for being so full!)Overall, it was an amazing experience! If you love a good Speakeasy, you HAVE to try Fuego Underground. If you just like great steaks and craft cocktails, this is a hidden gem with easy parking, but reservations are recommended. This place is popular and for very good reason.“

“Food was lovely, pasta had a perfect portion size if you’re just in the middle of being hungry and not. Service was good, just took a little long because it was a friday night. Atmosphere was not the best, there was a rowdy table behind my family that just put off out our whole vibe for the night and was very overwhelming for being outside around a lot of other people. (if you easily get overstimulated I suggest eating inside) Totally not the restraints fault, just an unlucky role of the dice“

Upon the waitresses enthusiastic recommendation (she seemed really excited about it) I went with the Boscaiola with pasta instead of ravioli. Every bite I took I closed my eyes to just enjoy the explosion of flavors. Hands down best food ever. Highly recommend but don’t forget your reservation!“

“We had such a great time today at Pips & Bounce. It was our first time here and it exceeded our expectations. “This was one of the better meals my husband and I enjoyed while visiting Portland. The walls are covered in Mexican art. There are plenty of tables and a nice bar to sit at. The food was delicious but not gigantic portions. My husband ordered the street tacos from the happy hour menu. The chicken inside the tortilla was as delicious and seasoned perfectly. He also had tortilla chips and salsa which you had to pay for separately. I had the Carnitas plate with beans and a salad- Very tasty and the Carnitas were very moist. The staff wasn't overly friendly but the food made up for it! tried the Cadillac margarita it was a little weak. Feeling like Mexican? Definitely give this place a go.“
