“Comfort food at its finest. Guys working there are super chill and set us up with all their sauces. We took some time deciding what we wanted because all of it sounded so good. My brother got the trifecta combo and my husband and I each got the chicken sandwich. My only complaint is that the sandwiches were a little hard to pick up and eat just because they were so loaded. Don't let the website pictures fool you - these portions are huge (and the prices very affordable). My husband and I could have easily split one sandwich but instead have leftovers for tomorrow. :) everything just pairs well together. The menu has been well thought-out and I think we need to come back to try more!“

“Such a tiny spot we almost missed it. Just a counter with one worker, not a place to sit and eat or anything which I didn't realize going in. Ordered the plum and tuna which were both good. Their musubi was amazing though and I wish I had gotten more lol!“

“Had mochiko chix last night. Returned tonight for the firecracker shrimp which I made the mistake of letting my sweetie try which is to say I lost half a meal? Fantastic food(flavor /portion ?),super cool owners(Marty &Steve),and a much welcome addition to the heist. Woodstock is lucky to have you ?“

“Oregon’s first Kava bar! Both the Portland and Vancouver locations offer a chill vibe with various comfy seating areas. The decor is authentic and honors the South Pacific culture without being kitschy. The Portland location features reclaimed wood from Indonesia. The Washington location boasts a stunning living wall. The kava is prepared traditionally and served in a coconut shell. The owner has spent a lot of time in the South Pacific personally meeting with his growers. And no distractions like tv screens or pool tables like an actual bar. Instead they offer things like board games and a guitar if you are lucky enough to play. There is a real sense of community in both locations with fun activities monthly at each location. I also like that they have chosen not to also serve Kratom out of respect for the ceremonial history of kava. It’s an experience!“

“WOWZA!!! I just bought lunch and I am so happy I found this place!! The food was so delicious I thought I was back in Maui again. I would rate 1,000 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing!! No sweat!Kid-friendliness: Take your kiddos, they’d love it too.Wheelchair accessibility: Super easy and flat area. I would think a wheelchair would be able to get inside without having any issues. It is worth it.“

“I dunno, y'all. The food is dope af. Easy to eat low/no-carb if you choose, staff seemed chill and the food gets made with a quickness. Butter mochi is super dope.Vegetarian options: I'm only parroting what my vegan friend said, but she stated that options are pretty slim. I think it would be easy to eat Vegetarian here tho I think the meat protein options are what's up.Parking: you pretty much have to park on Woodstock south of 52nd so it's kind of inaccessible.Kid-friendliness: it's a restaurant. kids can be there.“

“Is it a bar trying to be a restaurant or a restaurant with a fairly large bar area? I struggle with this one on a couple of levels mostly because I live in the neighborhood and want to support the out of the box vibe of this place. The ambiance is rustic beach-shack-meets bistro with a festive backdrop which is pretty appealing in my view. It's certainly casual here. But between the saba fish tacos and the bollitos (black eye pea fritters) there's a lot of pretty unique, internationally influenced munchies as well and, yea, a solid happy hour too, with both food and drink options. Wes at the bar will hook you up with a proper cocktail - he knows his stuff - but if you don't sit at one of the stools up there, the booths in the lounge are still hella cozy. The strip mall location can be off-putting but give it a chance. I come here often for both food and drink.“

“Their spam masubi is the best I've found. Perfectly cooked rice, seared crispy spam, and just the right amount of a glaze. I can't stop talking about to my spouse....so much so that he told me "enough with your perfectly cooked rice and the seared spam with the glaze" lol Their bowls are also great if you want a bigger meal.“

“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“

“I hate and love that this place is a far drive from me because if it was close, I would be broke lol I absolutely love the variety of places they have to offer. The inside was very clean and open which was nice and the restaurants are super close to each other. I couldn't decide between sushi and Hawaiian so I decided to get both! Overall was very pleased with the place and will absolutely be going back to try out other places soon.“

“Great bartenders, I love the staff. Cooks are fantastic as well, solid menu. I don't know why they haven't advertised their earlier hours. The lack of air conditioning makes the place uncomfortably hot as soon as the weather is nice. Even with blended drinks and a patio I would not like to spend any time there during the summer unless that issue is fixed.“
“Kalbi chicken with macaroni salad splurge.“

“Located in a shared building this restaurant stands out as a great restaurant. Very fresh tasting salmon. Paired well with a sweet and spicy salsa. The added Kimchi is a must to bring this whole dish together. All on top of a bed of rice. Very nice staff as well.“

“Vegan options! and the mac salad is "accidentally" vegan! The first time I went it was absolutely incredible, talked about it for weeks. The 2nd time I went everything was a little on the bland side, so YEMV, tons of potential tho, I'll be back.“

“Best happy hour I've been to in Portland since the happy hour glory days circa 2007-2008! The food was really good for such a reasonable price! We went on a Saturday around 3pm and the place was pretty empty and quiet so the attention we received was superb. Of all food ordered, the poke salad, shrimp tempura, chicken strips and spam musabi were the favorites. Spicy chicken sando was most anticipated yet least loved.“

“Not sure if it was an understaffed afternoon, but it took an hour for our food and our order was completely wrong. The staff seemed very tired/grumpy. I didn't want to say anything, because I was starving and didn't want to wait any longer. It was still good, but a bit disappointing that I ordered/paid for a more expensive dish, but I received a cheaper meal. The food was still good, just not what I ordered.I also noticed a few other customers coming back up to the counter after reviewing their food, so I'm thinking we weren't the only ones with the wrong order. No big deal. The reason for 4 stars is more of the cleanliness of the restaurant. Sticky floors, and the bathroom was not exactly pleasant or clean. There is also a serious lack of tables in this location, definitely more of a "pick up" location compared to other Roxy's.It could have just been a bad day, but I likely will just visit Canby Roxy's instead.“

“This place has the best shave ice I've ever had outside of Hawaii - and better than some I've had on island. Sooo good. The only sad part is they don't serve shave ice all year, today was the last day until next spring. The rest of their offerings looked yummy and I look forward to trying those, too.The people working there are very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.“
