“Just moved to the area I live half a mile away thought I’d try the place expected a hole in the wall, but was pleasantly surprised. Walked in and was greeted immediately by a nice smile and the lovely bartender. Her husband is the cook. His name is Bob and I apologize I can’t remember her name. They cooked my fish the way I like it light gold brown. It was lightly breaded and tasty! atmosphere was light and inviting. I will definitely be back weekly.“

“Perfect date night with amazingly well prepared food. Appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed by the waiter or that the restaurant was trying to keep the guests revolving through as fast as they could. Was not expecting a few menu items with Asian flair, highly recommend pairing the chilled tom kha mussels and shrimp udon. Husband said oysters were the best he’s had. Really enjoyed having some different drinks to try, like skin contact wine and Amari. Will definitely be back!“

“Great vintage restaurant that's been a favorite of our family since the 1970s. The food is normally fantastic and we usually have outstanding service, but we must have gone on an off night because my steak was not cooked as ordered and our waitress was a little surly. For these reasons, I can't give it 5 stars.“

I was there during happy hour and had a few appetizers, two entrees, and a handful of drinks and only spent $100. “My 2 friends and I went to Nebbiolo last Sat night for a Birthday celebration. Love the atmosphere...it has the feeling of a NY bistro. We had the last table available , glad we had reservations. The food, as always was outstanding, the service amazing..Zaida was wonderful , all in all one of the best evenings out in quite awhile. The only thing that was a problem, was the live music. It was too loud, and we had the table farthest from the music, you couldn't understand the words with all the crowd noise. Had we been sat closer , we would have had to leave. Shouting across the table so your dinner friends can hear you is not conducive to warm conversation. The venue is too small for anything more than guitar music. “My favorite Chinese restaurant in PDX. Great variety of menu items and everyone I've tried has been terrific. The hot pot is not to be missed. Had the beef one most recently and it was delicious and pretty spicy hot! Dumplings were great too. Has the atmosphere of a busy Asian restaurant. Not glitzy but clean and friendly. Highly recommend. And, you can at Yelp to remind you when to join waitlist so you get seated quickly.“

The smoked Halibut and cheese board did most of the heavy lifting in that respect.The cocktails were very tasty.The Brussel sprouts and the bread were also fantastic. “This a dim sum banquet hall. There isn't really any atmosphere or service to speak of. It's just all about the food. The place is huge and full of gigantic tables. If you came here with 2 people or 20 people, they would seat you immediately. Best to come with more people so you can taste everything.They roll over carts full of delicious dim sum, and you just point to whatever you want. Everything is very tasty, and each dish is only a few dollars.Get the cucumbers!“

“2024 Update: Been here nine times now since 2022, & in that time we haven't been anywhere else more than twice, & also we live 25 mins away, & also we've been most everywhere else noteworthy in Portland. That we keep coming back here hopefully tells you how incredibly wonderful we think it is. It's like Banff and Jasper where, yeah we could go other places, but might as well keep coming back here til they stop being so much better than anything elseCurrently the salmon with saffron/cured garlic aioli and crispy potatoes and green garlic salsa verde is unbelievably good, easily one of the best things we've ever had, a lifetime memory we'll never forget. The type of thing you take a bite of and time slows down and a smile creeps onto your face and you just want to make the feeling last forever. And you say something like "aaah oh my god this is insane". But we expect to find something new like that every time we come, they always have at least 3-4 of the best things we've ever had on the menu at any given time no matter the season. I have this ranked 3rd overall only behind Nodoguro in Portland, which is 3x the price, & Robuchon in Vegas, which is 5x the price. Ahead of Kann, Langbaan, Tercet, Le Pigeon, Urdaneta, way ahead of Jacqueline, etc etc.--Update again: been here 5 or 6 times now and every single time it's Just Amazing. There're other places as good as this in Portland but all of them are twice the price (tercet, le pigeon, langbaan)--One of the best restaurants we've ever been to (#2 specifically), & the best in the PNW so far. So many interesting unique flavors, everything so creative and delicious. The scallops specifically were one of the best things I've ever had, also loved the octopus, the crab beignets, the root vegetable trio, the chocolate mousse. $75/person with 4 courses each.Update: Been here two more times and every time we come we have at least a couple new "one of the best things I've ever had" dishes. The new gnocchi with the belper knolle is about the most comforting thing I've ever had, the freakin burger is unreal. For the price, under $100 per person, I can't recommend any restaurant more highly than this“

“I actually dream about their crab in between visits. The large order is the perfect size for sharing and at an utterly reasonable price. The owner is a doll- a genuinely good person who will treat you right and feed you even better. The tables nearby have heaters in the winter and shade in the summer. Highly recommend!“

“We recently dined for our Wedding Anniversary. I tasked my husband with selecting a spot we'd never been with great food and a casual atmosphere. While he would've happily taken me to an upscale establishment, we simply wanted to celebrate in a laid back way. He made reservations to sit in the bar and they were very accommodating. We ended up at the bar, which we prefer. The atmosphere is very unique with a lot of beautiful wood. The structure is what I think is an old house and includes quaint outdoor seating. Had the temp not been in the 90s, we would've definitely sat outside. The Bartender was friendly and helpful with menu selections. I enjoyed a martini and my husband chose wine. We began with crabcakes which were flawless! The Caesar salad was wonderful as well. It included more of the leafy part of the romaine where I prefer the hearts but small thing really. Our shared entree was Alaskan halibut which was prepared simply and beautifully. We were treated by the house to a small lava cake, topped with high quality vanilla ice cream and fresh berries and it was delightful! All in all, we would definitely return to Baird's on B. We could tell that many customers were regular locals and I can see why. What a cute place to be able to walk to. On a sidenote: a group of young ladies, under legal drinking age were seated at a table nearby and they ordered various mocktails. We watched the preparation and these drinks were works of art - including fresh muddled fruit. With a growing trend of adults choosing to forego alcohol, nice option!“

Even the sushi on the belt was still great and not old. I feel like most sushi trains have cold rice and it's never great. “So Jarana is actually the kitchen inside of the bar, Lulu. It was a bit confusing when we first walked by and were trying to figure out where it was. We ordered the saltado with steak and the ceviche as well. The steak was soooo tender. The sauce had good umami flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Rice had such a good seasoned flavor. I will think about this dish for a while. The ceviche was also really good. I loved the mango and passion fruit to add sweetness. I didn't expect fried fish and fish chicharrones. So yummy.It might be a bit pricey, but the food is SO good!“

“Have been to this establishment twice now. Once for my birthday and the next for our daughters. Amazing cold crisp beer. The food is outstanding. I don’t remember the name of the appetizer, but I think it’s the Southwest Chicken Rolls! They are a must have. They are OUTSTANDING. One of the best appetizers I have ever had. For dinner, my wife and daughter both had their shrimp tacos and they say that they are to die for. Our son-in-law and I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. You can get it either Buffalo style or armadillo hot sauce style are amazing. If you’ve had Dave’s Hot Chicken, this beats it! Full of flavor, juicy and outstanding. Atmosphere is the old rustic saloon. Out door seating for large groups with a heater right above you to keep warm on those chilly days. I got seated quickly, and shortly after was greeted by one of the staff pushing the carts who offered me some food. I got the siu mai, har gow, and steamed BBQ pork buns. Everything tasted great, no complaints on the food. Also they have really great chili oil! One of the better tasting chili oils I've had at a dim sum restaurant. The ambience and the staff there were very welcoming. The way that families interacted with the staff lets you know that HK is that neighborhood spot that families go to often. Price, quantity, quality: 8/10 The food tasted great. I was a bit surprised that I ended up paying about just under $20 for 3 items. It's a bit pricy. Im not too sure if the tea I got was complimentary or if I got charged for it. The pricing would've made sense it if was charged. Overall not bad!“

And the black bean sauce was fresh and flavorful. And of course there is their famous egg rolls that are like donuts filled with cabbage and shrimp. A guilty pleasure. Now I won’t need to drive up to 84th in Portland for a quick Chinese food fix.“

Come hungry because the teppanyaki portions are large. The sushi choices are so good and it is easy to fill your table with all of these good selections.“
