We celebrate We drive from Hillsboro a few times a year. The staff always warm and friendly. Just go, and make it a special drive date.”

“I had my first visit just this last week and I was really happy to see what a great, healthy and delicious menu it has! 100% rating on all flavors! Chicken kebab, Moroccan mint tea, Mezza sampler and the chicory salad all have high quality ingredients. The value of that for me is why I can enjoy dining out these days. Not just a menu of burgers and fries or tacos that are easy to make at home. I will keep Cypress on my top list of local restaurants worth returning too! The service level of quality management is very enjoyable.”

Recently I discovered Asia Cafe while driving between Goodwill and McDonalds. A lot of video poker shops have great food and this place is no exception!
I get the standard American Chinese comfort foods, sweet and sour with orange chicken. I got both fried rice and noodles.
The bottom line is this place rocks! A good place to play some games, have a few drinks, and a nice meal!”

“The food was good, and the young lady at the window was a sweetheart working hard to make sure I had what I wanted. It was lunch time for the high school, so there was a bit of a wait. The food smell coming out the window was so good the wait was worth it.”

“We stayed overnight in McMinnville prior to a visit to the Evergreen Air and Space Museum. In need of coffee, we found Flag & Wire. I believe it was the best coffee I have ever tasted. Very smooth and delicious. My partner agreed that it was excellent coffee. We splurged and chose two pastries from their tiny pastry case - a marionberry danish and an apple-bourbon handpie. Both were excellent with delightful laminated pastry. We'll be back tomorrow morning!”

“A Must-Visit Lunch Spot in McMinnville! Every time I visit McMinnville, this restaurant is at the top of my list—and once again, it did not disappoint! In fact, my friend and I loved it so much that we had lunch here twice during our trip. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic—so creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. My friend enjoyed the ½ Turkey Sandwich, while I devoured the Chicken Cashew Salad, which was fresh and delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was just okay, but the tomato vegetable soup was a standout, according to my friend. And let’s not forget the in-house wheat bread—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meal. Our waitress, Andrea, was incredible! I highly recommend asking for her—she was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even better. To finish, we split a lemon cupcake—our only regret was sharing it! “Best house made Pot Stickers in Yamhill County. The atmosphere is vintage 1970's Chinese restaurant style. The bar has had a small renovation the flooring has been redone and additional seating has been added. The service is always great and the food is scratch made. When you order sweet and sour chicken you actually get pretty good sized pieces of chicken not just breading. Their pot stickers are large and made in house not frozen! We have tried almost everything on the menu and every dish has been excellent. Our favorite go to is an order of pot stickers. Then we pick 3 from their Pick Favorites selection; crab puffs, BBQ pork, and sweet and sour chicken. Seriously the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. I like that they do not use artificial coloring or MSG. The owners are very nice and great people which is refreshing. They also own Kin's Bar and Grill in Lafayette, Or. I was told we could get the same amazing pot stickers there as well. FYI they do have a lot of pool tournaments at any given time. We still got great service and food even with so much going on.”

“Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.”

“Unbelievable. A hidden McMinnville gem. In business for 17 years. They make their own tortilla chips which were unlike anything I have ever tasted. Light, warm and crisp. The pork burrito was plentiful (2 meals for an old guy), very moist and tender. Rice and beans were home cooked, fresh and delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Because of the high ceilings with exposed beams your conversation stays at your table as there is no echo. Prices were very reasonable. You may sit inside or out. Go!”
