I arrived at Thai Avenue to order take out. After I ordered, it took approximately 20 minutes, so I was able to examine the restaurant. It was decorated nicely. I sat at the bar. The server was neither friendly or unfriendly. I got red curry, which was watery and fairly flavorless. It was adequate at best. My friend had me buy him Yellow Jungle Fried Rice and Khao Soi. I am a bit of a Thai food snob. In the many years I have lived in Portland, I have been consistently disappointed with the Thai food spots around town. Thai Avenue opened up and so I went in for a late lunch. This is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Fresh and very good. The owner has a great story. Yum.
