“My experience with Lancaster Pie & Coffee began before even entering. My husband and I were reading the sign and then when we finally headed in the owner was there opening the door for us, because he saw my husband was using a cane. Once we were inside we were met with the prettiest cafe, local art to peruse, the incredible smell of pie and the warmest smile from the woman behind the bar / register. The vibes were top notch. So what about the pie? If you call yourself a pie place the pie should be, at least- good. Well, the pie is actually quite amazing. We tried the apple, blueberry and the lemon. The lemon was the showstopper, but all three were spectacular. It felt like coming home and home is perfect and has great pie. Their hot chocolate was good and included rustic homemade marshmallows. The tea selection was fantastic. One of my favorite things (and there were many from my experience), was the quiche. I've tried the quiche in just about every establishment in downtown Lancaster that offers it- none compare to the quiche here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom and it was a revelation. I feel bad for all of the other quiche makers everywhere else. So far behind..... Overall, I was immediately love stricken with the business. They deliver on every level. And the kindness and charm of the employees, owner and hostess must not be diminished. I have a handful of businesses in downtown Lancaster I order from or frequent quite a bit and the owners who are always there are rarely ever friendly or chatty, which is fine, but I wish there was more friendliness. Pie & Coffee has amazing food, fantastic pies and beverages and then the staff is so welcoming and sweet. It's all the things.“

“Fun little family friendly experience. You get to learn about the first commercial hard pretzel maker. Interesting history, fun little tour, and pretty good soft pretzels. The tour guide was great and personable, cool historical place, and the food was good but no cinnamon sugar pretzels (my favorite). Love it overall.“

“A real French bakery with the best macaroons and a variety of pastries. The quality is what you would have in France. Its worth driving over from Philly to have this.It would be one of best experience your taste buds would have had.I would be surprised if anyone would mention that they have had better deserts for the same items anywhere else.I would doubt if any NYC place can be better than this. Have visited them since the last 5 years and the quality is consistent. They have crossaints and coffee, that i plan to be there for breakfast some weekend.Their bistro has great food french food, if you are a fan of real french food.“

“We visit on every trip to Lancaster county. Love their pies, cookies, whoopie pies and especially their dinner and hamburger rolls. They also have good ice cream and will make you a shake. During the summer there is a food truck outside baking pretzels. They're also extremely helpful if there's something special you want they will make it for you, you can either call or order it while you're there and pick up the next day. Coconut cream pie is amazing. Pumpkin pie also amazing, and pumpkin custard pie is seasonal but definitely worth trying.“

“Best bakery in Lancaster city, hands down. Incredible bagels and breakfast sandwiches along with inventive treats and desserts. Tons of solid standbys along with rotating new ideas which keeps it exciting to go back again and again.Everything is done with passion behind it. Cute little space to sit and eat, very kind owners and staff. Can’t recommend enough!“
“Love this place! I shop here regularly for ready to heat meals. Choose raw beef and poultry, deli meats, their own sausages and smoked meats, or prepared foods, homemade pizzas, soups, or baked goods, and now produce. They even have cheese curds, ginger root, and sandwiches.“
“It was busy, somewhat crowded, but as always, food and service are excellent. Lots of options including cookies, breads, rolls, nuts, candy, bulk food, ready prepared foods, made to order sandwich counter, (hot and cold) deli, produce and pies! You won't be disappointed. A business with Christian ethics.“

“Been frequenting both locations for a year and a half. Even when I’m not getting a coffee, I’ll grab a bag of their whole beans for my home setup (minor bias I’m a fan of coffee in general)Pricing is on the higher side but the quality is there; They set the gold standard for a great cup of coffee. Treat yourself! Also those vegan chocolate chip cookies are excellent“
“If your in the area, you must stop in . I saw the marshmallows in the window and wow! I actually sell handmade carmellows at my place of business and these put mine to shame . The caramel that is wrapped around the marshmallow is to die for and if you try this you will never want to eat a store bought marshmallow again. I brought several back for coworkers and they all agreed with me . I should say, what make it back to work! I also grabbed a blueberry out bar for my breakfast and that was delicious also . I wish I had bought some other items from there so I could give a better review, but I’m pretty sure by the taste of those two items nothing in there would disappoint ! Even there bag was pretty !“

“My wife and I are doing the coffee tour in Lancaster, and this stop was our second. Right across the street from our first stop, this one was better for us. They had many sugar-free syrup options, which made our day. My wife was excited that she could order one of their holiday drinks sugar-free, and it was delicious! She had the strawberry, chocolate latte. There were a lot of food options but for this trip we were just getting coffee.“

“We ordered a 16" Pepperoni pizza just before closing, and we would like to express our gratitude to the staff for completing our order despite the late hour. Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by friendly staff, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner. The owner shared information about the new procedures they use for making their bread, and we decided to try a loaf. The bread turned out to be not only delicious but also phenomenal.Once we arrived home, we eagerly indulged in the pizza. The crust and dough surpassed the traditional pizza dough available in the area. The sauce boasted a fantastic flavor, and the quality of the pepperoni was evident. We are incredibly pleased and thankful for the wonderful experience. We look forward to returning soon!“

“I was blown away with the birthday cake we recently ordered for my MIL’s 94th. It was absolutely perfect! Everyone said it was the best carrot cake they’ve ever had! The decoration was beyond what I had imagined! The cake made her day extra special and I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion.“

“WOW! This is one massive sticky bun. I purchased three kinds: one with nuts, one without nuts and the cinnamon roll. Why wait to go home and who could resist? I ate my just received sticky bun, in my car; fingers gooey. Ask for wet wipes, I believe they have them. Next day, reheated a bun in my oven and folks; it was Still amazing. This bun oozes with the sticky stuff and cinnamon, within the crevices. My car smelled like Yankee Candle's Cinnamon Bun; it was truly intoxicating.“

“Such great service and I couldn’t have asked for a better result. The girl that helped us (can’t remember her name) was so helpful, patient, and thorough. They nailed it and we got so many compliments on the looks and taste of the cake. Also got a chai tea latte and a pastry when we were there ordering the cake and both were delicious. Definitely recommend and happy I found this place. Will certainly be back.“

“This is the best grill cheese sandwich in Lancaster! Perfectly made w/ gooey cheeses on sourdough bread. Also tried a twinkie cupcake which was moist & sweet! The service was quick & easy. Cute place w/ several small tables & chairs to sit & enjoy some tasty treats. Will come back & try a breakfast sandwich!“

“Perfectly soft/chewy/crunchy texture of our soft pretzel sticks. I really liked the free taste-testing area allowing new customers to flavor the many different mustard varieties—my favorite was horseradish and honey. I’d never had sweet baloney before and the free bites encouraged me to make a purchase. Also, to whet your whistle and wash down the mustardy pretzel tastes, I’d highly recommend picking a glass bottle ($2 deposit) of the sweet-tart lemonade.“

“Delightful cafe which sells mainly empanadas. They are a bit small so you will likely want more than one. They have a wide selection of flavors, make them in-house, and serve with a dipping sauce. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating areas.“

“I've ordered from Sweet Shenanigans several times, large orders and also a few just to take and home and share with my boys. My favorites are her unique flavors you don't find at other bakeries. I recently served the lemon drop and simply strawberry cupcakes at a baby shower. So many of the guests told me they're not even "cupcake people" but these cupcakes were the BEST they ever had. You can always save money and make your own, or you can get what you pay for, save time, and serve delicious and decadent cupcakes that your guests will remember and request again a d again!“

“The long John's were delicious!! It was a mix of donut and croissant. The topping was amazing! It was a whipped fudge frosting that was light but thick. And it wasn't overall sweet!! The homemade fry pie was equally excellent!Highly recommend.“
“We stopped in to get lattes on our way out of Lancaster. I ordered a Carmel frappe which was really good. My husband ordered hazelnut cappuccino and lived it. There is a nice sitting area while you wait.We will definitely return.Parking: This is a very busy parking lot because of the outlets. I was surprised how open the parking lot was.“

“I finally understand the hype... Locals are obsessed with Dosie Dough because of their hours (open on Sunday), quick, good food, and free coffee multiple days throughout the month thanks to local businesses. Sometimes the baked goods could be a bit fresher in my opinion, but that's about it. They have some healthier options too like granola bars, 4 seed cookies, etc. I like that they have oat milk in their fridge for drip coffee.“

“My fiancée and I came here for a mid afternoon lunch and loved it. We each got a hot sandwich with a hot drink before going into Lititz for some pre-holiday shopping. The food is fresh and made-to-order. They even have a shop inside for picking up premade food and snacks. The inside is very cozy and the outdoor eating area is very nice as well.“
“I have not been to this establishment personally but am a devoted follower of Von Thun Farms in Washington NJ. I saw these Iced Cinnamon Buns for Sale in their farm store. I thought my partner would enjoy these. I was correct they are extraordinarily good. This kind of dessert is not my thing but I did enjoy these Cinnamon Buns too! It is the Maple Icing for me! I would like to purchase another item from your bakery another time I stop by the farm. I hope to see this bakery label so I can try another dessert. I recommend you try- you will not be disappointed.“
“The best pickles ever!!! The Habanera Dill Blast are so good that even despite the heat, I could finish a whole jar in one sitting! And the sweetest vendor ever! Pre-pandemic I was shopping for my usual pickles and jerky and was short $5 cash. The man trusted I’d be back cause I was a regular, and spotted the rest of the cash. Just a few weeks later the city went into lock down. When the market reopened post-pandemic I would always check to see if he was back and was concerned he wouldn’t return, since it had been several months since the reopening. Even though it was almost 2 years later, the stand was back at the union square market and I got to repay my loan. #1 fan here!“

“Cubano has mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and was fresh. Nothing stood out for me but it was fine as a sandwich. The pastries are flavorful in a cultural way- especially with the guava flavoring. You know it has to be a local bakery because it is on the outskirts from downtown and this section seems kind of iffy. Places like this give the neighborhood a chance to be uplifted more. At least some of the workers here speak English and Spanish? Fluently. Stool seating here.“
“This was the best pretzel I've had in my life. It was made fresh, was crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Flavor was great, no bitterness, and just enough salt without being overpowering. Service was also quick! It's located inside in the marketplace.“

“This was a FANTASTIC experience. If you're a little boujee and like food, you'll love this spot. It's classy and beautiful and yummy! We couldn't stay to eat but we'll be back. The enjoyment of the store details is real. The French Apple Cake was picked by our son, and he wasn't a fan because he's got the palate of a cardboard box (his loss). It has a beautiful taste with rum (?) Or maybe bourbon notes, so that's why he didn't like it. Hubby did NOT mind having to finish that delight off ?? The kiddo loved his macarons despite the new textures (weird, huh), so there's some hope left for him. The sausage gravy meal was delish per hubby.Shout out to Chef Nate, who went above and BEYOND with his food and service. That southwest bowl (sans cheese) was AMAZING, and since I don't get to eat out often due to food restrictions, I thank you from the tips of my toes to the bottom of my heart!10 out of 10, highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Semi generous vegetarian options. One vegan option. Removals permitted on menu items but no substitutions.“
“I've read a few about "these women" from 2014- 2018, and it seems they are no longer around as it seems they were actually hurting business. I had a matcha cookie and a lemon muffin at the last minute (about 220 PM Sat) but everyone kind of wants the day to end sooner in the market at that point. Both were very flavorful and I'd certainly be willing to come back and see what some other artisan or artisan like creations they might offer as that fits the bill for me.Male staff was friendly- maybe Ric himself.Environment is the typical intimate small spaces nature of the Lancaster market.“
“Just wanted to give a shout out that all the cookies that Laura makes are amazing from the drop cookies (which if you take and melt a marshmallow like you would making a smore and sandwich in between her drop cookies it is amazing)Plus her decorated cookies puts a smile on peoples faces because they are so cute and some people have a hard time eating them because of that. LOLAlso the baby shower cookies she made for my two nieces this year were absolutely adorable and delicious. Keep the cookies coming. Thanks so much!“
“If you're around the area, you should stop by and get some of the delicious cheesecake, pie and torte. They are just like those you can find in local supermarkets or restaurants except they have more selections. The prices were reasonable and customer service was excellent.“

“I ordered breakfast catering for work from scratch bakes. We got the breakfast sandwiches and French toast casserole. Only complaint was that they didn't offer some catering items for less than 20 people. That being said, we had A LOT of French toast casserole and were not sad about it. It was super flavorful and delicious. The sandwiches were also a perfect portion and super filling. Even though we were not "close" in distance, they still offered delivery for a fee and were very timely. I worked with Laura and she was super helpful and easy to talk to and work with for my order.“
“I bought a coconut cake at Christmas time last year. We didn’t eat it all and decided to freeze some of it. I just got it out of the freezer and thawed it out. The cake was just as moist and delicious as the day we bought it. I didn’t even have it an airtight container. They make an awesome cake. You can freeze it and thaw it out and it is as fresh as the day they make it.“
“Super cute shop! A lot of it is not Amish made which we didn’t know but still good! We got the red apple balsamic, homemade Cheetos, blueberry bread, honey white bread, black raspberry jam, chocolate covered pretzel and coffee. Everything tasted great! The workers were very friendly and it was a great “
“I saw those Yelper pizza pictures and found myself dreaming of Thom's pizza. Who knew, a bread bakery, would have such delicious pizza? Those pictures don't lie, I'll tell you that. Only two tables, up front and my hubby and I snagged one of them. A large pepperoni pizza, took about 15 minutes. I should have taken a picture of it, but I just couldn't wait to dig in. Burnt the roof of my mouth, of course. Sauce was crushed tomatoes, loads of gooey cheese, lots of those tasty cupped pepperonis and that crust, ooh my; thin, chewy, bubbly, thick around the edges; are you drooling yet?“
“It's been years since I've bought the 50 cent factory seconds and I plan to get a refill since im on my last salt layered bread tote. If you store the bread properly, most will be safe to eat 2-5 years later, I've only had 2 loaves ever to get bad and that was within the first few months because the inner seal was opened. The breads that I've eaten years later are still soft, they don't shine funny under a black light and they only taste slightly stale compared to other brands that I've done this with...“

“(I ordered through DoorDash!) I was sick today and needed a quick pick me up so I tried Scratch Bakes for the first time - it was EXACTLY what I needed. I got the pepper jack tomato soup which was amazing. It hit the spot just right!! I went simple and got a Grilled Cheese to go with it but even that was prepared super well. Paired with an iced latte, I was able to get a delicious comfort meal.I also deliver for doordash occasionally and have had a good experience picking up in the store. The employees were kind and helpful. The atmosphere inside was incredibly calm considering it's right downtown!“
“Fresh bread, service with a smile and wonderful smells...what more could you ask for from a bakery? Made for a wonderful destination for a morning walk. Oh let not forget how wonderfully clean this place was most bakeries seem to have a light dusting of flour everywhere (not complaining about either just noticing).“
“This place is absolutely delicious!! We stopped in to grab some sweet treats while passing through Lititz. We were immediately greeted with very friendly and helpful staff who pointed us in the right direction with our choices. Our favorite treat was the coconut macaron. DELICIOUS and perfectly sweet from the flaky coconut. I also had a caramel covered marshmallow which was great (but extremely sweet!). The cookies were tasty (blueberry white chocolate). Prices were reasonable. Definitely check this Lititz gem out!!“

“They moved to a different storefront within Rockvale Square outlets. They are now in between the Disney store and Jack and Janie. I have been shopping here for years to buy bread, goldfish, etc. Buy one of the resuable bags and every time you bring it back it gets you an additional 15% off your total purchase.“
“I've been buying Amaranth Bakery breads at a local farm market. When they have it, I pick up as many loaves as my freezer can hold! I love the maple oat for an outstanding basic bread great for toasting and dipping in eggs or for French Toast.“
“First visit. Spacious parking ( I'm from NYC ), great customer service. Even it's supposed to be crowded on a Saturday afternoon, it's still very comfortable compared to NYC. Saw a couple things we don't see at NYC, such as stir fry noodles and meatloaf in the fridge. We ate at the food court with the always low price menu. We saw the parking 'garage' for the Armish buggies which was interesting to us.“

“Parking: Store entrance & parking lot are located in the rear of the store/factory. If you visit early in the day, you can watch pretzels being made. They sell bulk quantities in addition to the usual packs you'd find in a grocery store. Plus, Martin's sells so many flavors!! Good deals on bags of broken pretzels.“
