“I love Zion's Cuisine. It is a neighborhood gem and I will miss it if/ when I move out. I usually get brown stew chicken, beef stew, or pepper steak. The food is affordable, delicious, and healthy, and a large platter is good for 2-3 big meals (I do use rice from home to stretch it). Zion's is my go-to when I don't have the time or energy to make something decent for myself. No restaurant review is complete without a criticism, so: I wish they made it clear what is available each day. This goes for all Jamaican spots, but it seems like every day there is something they don't have. Knowing what's available with an updated list (instead of an interrogation at the order counter) would also give me the opportunity to try dishes I haven't before, such as their soups and breakfast items. Also, although their cabbage is the best Jamaican cabbage I've ever had, when I get cabbage and greens as sides I wish they would put my greens in the little slot for sides instead of always the cabbage. I end up with enough cabbage for two meals but only one meal worth of greens. Maybe greens are more expensive for them.. I will ask to pay extra for this next time and see what they say.Overall, Zion's is my favorite restaurant in the area and I am already looking forward to the next time I fall woefully behind on my food prep.Dietary restrictions: Easy to eat gluten- and dairy-free“

“Wonderful place for a nice romantic meal!Hubz and I decided to try this place for an anniversary lunch. Although you wouldn't be able to tell from outside, this is a nice, quiet little gem.We were seated immediately by our waiter. (I must say, I was surprised that the only waiter in this black establishment was white), just something I noticed. He was really nice and welcoming.Their menu can be found online by scanning a QR.It's pretty straightforward. They have a nice selection of creative dishes. We ordered some wings for appetizers.I ordered Shrimp and Chicken Rasta Pasta. Hubz ordered the fish and waffles dish. He got a ginger beer, and I got a tropical ginger juice. The meal was delicious! Everythingwas seasoned and cooked perfectly!Compliments to the chef! 5 ?After our meal, the owner (I believe) came by and told us about a Valentines Day event they were having with a live band and specials.Along with all my normal ones, we had to take a pic with our waiter as well because he was so friendly.“

Well you could say they haven't ordered food from anywhere else since then. From what I tasted I was kinda surprised at great it was! Mac n Cheese, I think it was almost the best I've tried from everywhere else. And the Jerk Chicken melted in your mouth, was absolutely perfect. It's a shame it's in an off location. So I'm glad to see all the food delivery services carry them. We can walk across the street. In fact My son is there now!?????❣️“

“This honestly is one of the better spots that I have eaten from. I wish they were open on Sunday's tho ??, but I understand that everyone needs time to recover from a busy week and prepare for the next. I always get the Oxtails over white rice, and collard greens and they have yet to fail. I typically order thru uber eats and the food is always fresh, hot, and on-time when it arrives. I've tried the Mac & cheese, sometimes 50/50 with that. The j*** chicken is very good, the rice and bean's are not dry like other places. I've had the curry goat and it is tender, man oh man. I really wish they were open right now ?. Keep up the amazing work you all do. Peace ??“

Jerk Chicken

“I haven't had Jamaican food in a while. Not because I didn't want any but it was hard to find good food. Well I stopped by Irie today for lunch and I have found a solid spot! I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas and plantains. Let's talk about the jerk chicken. Outside of getting jerk chicken in JA it's hard to find jerk that comes close. Irie's jerk is slightly smoky, salty, sweet with a nice kick which is a nice balance when paired with rice and peas. The bonus was the oxtail gray on the rice! Oh. MY. God. The gravy was a nice treat because there were tiny chunks of oxtail meat in it. The plantains were firm but sweet and just right. The service was great because I was told in advance that I would have to wait 10 minutes for the plantains which I could've opted out and chose something else but I wasn't in a rush. Overall I had a great experience and will be back for the escovitch. If you know you know. Also, the beef patty with a coco bread...magic.“
