“It was Pi-Day (3.14) so I had to go see what Down North Pizza had for me. A lamb sausage w/ lemon ricotta, za’tar, and a garlic honey drizzle. I don’t even eat meat on a regular, but this just sounded too good to pass up.

It was yummy!

“This place is great. There circle pizza is good, but I think there square pizza is better. The dough becomes a bit fluffy, so it is rich but not excessively so. I normally don't like White pizzas but the square white pizza here is one of my go to orders. The cheese steaks here are also excellent. The quality of the meat is quite a bit higher than typical. I don't eat a lot of cheese steaks but this would be the place I would get them.“

“I just attended my niece's graduation party there. AMAZING PIZZA !!!! They put out a variety of pizzas on a buffet table. A crispy crust (I went right for the corner pieces) with cheese down 1st. I enjoyed them all, but my favorites were the sausage, the pepperoni, the white pie with onions pork belly and sprouts and the spinach and ricotta. Can't wait to go back !!!“

“We stopped at Sally after a long drive north to Philadelphia. I had heard about this place many times but never visited. It is delicious pizza and I’m glad we decided to stop!

We got there around 11:30 and the place was completely empty. There were good vibes inside though. I loved the wall of wine bottles and the vintage stereo system behind the brunch bar. Music was great too.

We spilt two pizzas and they were both delicious. One was pepperoni, the other had sausage and some greens. I don’t think you can go wrong with their menu. The non-pizza items looked good but we did not try them.

The service was lackluster considering we were the only people in the place. They mixed up one pizza and offered to remake, but that meant we were eating at completely different times

“Recently was visiting Philadelphia and craving Italian food. I asked some locals where to go and was sent here. Did not disappoint. Great ambiance, service was excellent and not stuffy, food was on point and I felt the prices presented a great value.“

“We got there for our 5 pm reservation. Very few people were there, and we thought we should have made the reservation for later. By 5:30, the place was packed! Glad we went earlier. “My wife and I went to Sorellina for dinner. We both can't understand how it is possible that the place was half empty on a Saturday night. The pizza is truly excellent, from the dough to the toppings. Possibly one of the best Neapolitan style pizza we have tried in Philadelphia. The wine and dessert were also quite good. As native Italians, we highly recommend Sorellina!“

“We hosted the rehearsal dinner for our wedding here in September 2024. We had about 50 people and were able to rent out the entire indoor space. The owner and staff were very welcoming and accommodating with our menu and bar options. Planning with them was a breeze. We were very happy with the food. We actually had a difficult time hitting the minimum at the end of the night! We highly recommend hosting your private party at Chestnut Hill Brewing!“

“For my daughter’s wedding we were looking for a wood fired pizza truck. The ones we loved weren’t available and we booked Red Stone Pizza Truck sight unseen. I ran into them later at a food truck festival, introduced myself, and they gave me pizza to try—it was amazing and I breathed a sigh of relief that we chose wisely. Fast forward to June 17, day of wedding, and I was nervous—would people have to wait too long for pizza, did we choose types people would enjoy? Would the bacon wrapped scallops be a hit or miss (you know how that goes). Happy to say that everything was a hit! Jessica was easy to work with and the team there that day was wonderful! No one ever had to wait for pizza, they served it up and had another hot one ready to go. Everyone was so nice and customer service was some of the best I’ve experienced! I had several people tell me how good the pizza was and some even said it was the best pizza they’d ever had! Some said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! (Even the bacon wrapped scallops were amazing!) I would recommend Red Stone for your food truck or catering needs! Thank you for running things so smoothly and making my daughters day special!!“

We tried tandoori and achari wings, garlic sticks, chicken curry/tandoori and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was out of the world. Never had desi pizza, wings this tasty. pizza was rich and flavorful. The taste was outstanding, the ambiance was welcoming, and the service was exceptional. I knew this pizza looked like it was the perfect consistency, but I wasn’t sure yet if the taste would measure up. Let me tell that if you don't go there for anything I HIGHLY recommend trying the grilled cheese. It's the best I have had since my grandmother would make them for me. It was the perfect amount of crunch on the bread and the perfect amount of cheese and with SOOOOOO much flavor. Like what?! “I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“
