“HONEST REVIEW - after 5 tries John and I, along with two close friends, recently had the pleasure of dining at Samway Grill on 8th Street in Saskatoon. Let me start by saying that we had an absolutely incredible experience with their authentic Indian cuisine. To kick off our meal, we ordered the Crispy Vegetable Pakora (8 Pcs) - a delightful mix of battered mixed vegetables served with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. The pakoras were perfectly crispy and accompanied by delicious chutneys that added a burst of flavor to each bite. Next, we indulged in the Jumbo Garlic Shrimp, which was marinated in a delectable blend of Indian spices, tandoori masala, lemon, ginger, and garlic. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and boasted an excellent flavor profile. For our main course, we tried the Chicken Korma and Chicken Coconut Curry. The Chicken Korma consisted of marinated chicken pieces cooked in a creamy cashew nut sauce. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was rich and thick, making it an absolute delight. The Chicken Coconut Curry featured succulent chicken cooked in a flavorful curry sauce with coconut milk. It was tender, saucy, and bursting with deliciousness. We also sampled the Lamb Korma, which was cooked in a splendid blend of spices and a rich, creamy nut sauce. The lamb was fork-tender, moist, and generously portioned, perfectly complementing the flavorful sauce. The Chicken Biryani was another standout dish. The boneless chicken was cooked with fragrant basmati rice, yogurt, fresh herbs, and spices, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. Each spoonful was a delight. The Garlic Naan at Samway Grill is simply to die for. The bread was perfectly baked with a delightful garlic flavor that complemented the dishes exceptionally well. We couldn't resist savoring every last bite. To complete our meal, we enjoyed the refreshing Mango Lassi, a delightful blend of mango and yogurt that tasted fresh and creamy. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also extraordinary. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. I must also mention that the chef(s) at Samway Grill are adept at adjusting the heat levels of their dishes to suit individual preferences. So, for those who are wary of extremely spicy curries, fear not! They will cater to your taste. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and affordable prices. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't finish everything and had to pack up the remains for a delicious lunch the next day. All in all, our meal at Samway Grill was a true five-star experience. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the talented chef(s) and the attentive service staff for creating such a memorable dining experience. “We lived in NY for 8 years. This place is the closest we have found in Saskatoon to the style of pizza we enjoyed in NY. Excellent cheese, sauce and pepperoni. I’m going to try the white pizza next. Very grateful these guys set up shop here in town. Guy who served us is very nice. This will be our regular go to for pizza in Saskatoon. I gave it a lower rating for atmosphere because I don’t really think it’s designed as a place where you would dine in. Excellent product and I hope their business takes off so they can open a location on the east side - closer to me!”

“Tonight my friend and I went to cactus club for dinner as we were visiting Saskatoon for the first time. The kitchen made a mistake with one of our orders and we did not even make a fuss. It was due to an allergy and they took it VERY seriously. The restaurant ended up taking care of our entire bill and they were over the top exceptional. This is what I call customer service and the best I’ve had at any restaurant. We had Kalyb as our server you must ask for him because he is amazing. Bravo Cactus Club. You guys deserve all the business and the best of the best. When we are back in Saskatoon, we will be back at Cactus Club.”

“We've been to this restaurant for several years and usually order drive-through for burgers, fries, or onion rings. Sometimes, we eat in on Saturday mornings and order the All-Canadian Breakfast. Great tasting sausage, bacon, and eggs with toast and a couple slices of tomato ? ? ? most of the time they fry the eggs a perfect over easy other times it's a miss. We will continue coming here, but I will say that they need to clean the tables more often and wipe off the chairs as well.”

Luckily we found it last 30 mins before it’s closed at 5pm but the lady was so kind to let us enjoyed our meals until 5:15.
