“I go to this McDonald's once or twice a month.Second update. Recently, the restaurant underwent a thorough upgrade. Looking really good now. Too bad sometimes the personnel is not that good. They decided that at 5:10pm on a Sunday the lobby was closed but we could enter and place out order on the kiosk. They completely ignored our order for 20 minutes. Then, they told us that the lobby was closed and it would be a while before our order would be ready, despite it being clearly visible on the displays. So, what's different between the order placed at the kiosk, from the drive through or via door dash? I am puzzled. The guy running around like a headless chicken was rude. He should have considered slowing down, being courteous to the customers in the lobby and actually get something done.“
“The perfect locally-owned diner experience which is hard to find nowadays, very friendly staff and owners too. I made it in right before they switched to lunch at 1030, and I ordered the Meat Lovers bowl with a side of biscuits and gravy.Watched the cook make my breakfast, she was very quick and put together everything effortlessly. The fried potatoes were crispy, the various meat was amazing, the cheese on top had a melty pull to it. Eat the massive bowl in minutes, and then devoured the biscuits and gravy. No complaints there either, very good.There's a reason the parking lot is full anytime of day, it's simply one of the last great diners in the area. Before I left they were smashing patties on the griddle for lunch and it smelled amazing, I can't wait to come back and try lunch!Parking: A few dozen spots and they keep it moving, full midday before lunch rush.Wheelchair accessibility: Depending if you can park up front, just a small curb and no steps into the doorway. “My boyfriend and I have been coming here since we first moved to the area and every single time our service has been stellar. Tonight, we were accidentally left alone for about 10 min after we first sat down, and both managers noticed quickly and promptly apologized and were so sweet and understanding. “Ate there Saturday afternoon. Was greeted at the door and accommodations were made for our party to see the basketball game. The old fashioned I ordered was very good and the food that arrived shortly after was excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection. “Looking for some good tasting cold beer, and some really good burgers, well this is the place. Stopped in after our meeting and glad we did. The burgers were the bomb, cooked just the way you asked for it, fresh and juicy. And the beer, it's cold and refreshing, yeah even in the late winter. March is our burger month, so when we go out, we try to find the best burger around. This place makes our top 3 of 9 places between Johnson City and Knoxville. We'll keep posting if we find some more surprises. Don't worry guys we shall return.“
“My wife and I visited around 3pm ish today. The place was a little smaller than I expected, but it was nice. As for the food.... she had the beef chimichanga with cheese sauce, rice and refried beans. I had a Taco Boy combo with a beef burrito and chile relano both with white sauce as well as refried beans and rice. I also had a cow tongue taco on the side. All of the food was amazing with lots of flavor. I had a tongue taco years ago and have been wanting another. It was great. Going to try a pig stomach taco next time. Wanted to today but was too full. Our server was Chuy. VERY nice and checked on us frequently. I HIGHLY recommend this place. It's now in my Top 3 mexican restaurants that I like.“

I know some people mentioned you can order at the table but you do have the option to order at the register so it's really up to you on how you want to order. “Food was excellent and service was fast and friendly but something odd happened. We ordered burgers and onion rings, and we had driven twenty miles, one way, to try this particular meal. Our server said, "I'm sorry but we don't serve onion rings on Saturdays. Would you like fries?" I found that sooo peculiar... and arbitrary but I agreed to fries and waited for my food. While eating an excellent burger and very good fries, a couple in the booth behind ours ordered burgers with onion rings. His server (a different server) wrote his order down and walked away. I continued eating, expecting his server back, any minute, to tell him that, as is their practice, he would not be having onion rings with his burger since it was Saturday. Is Saturday a Latin word for 'serve no deep-fried onions'? I kept eating, anticipating his disappointment when he got the bad news, then there she came, as I felt certain she would, carrying a lovely plate with a big burger and a mound of crunchy onion rings. ?? WTH? Is there a secret password I'm unaware of? I'll go back because the breakfast menu looks yummy but I'll have my eyes on that server. ?“
“While it can take awhile to get your food, it is always pretty good. I like how your dog can sit out on the patio. The hosts ( i was seated by a tall blonde girl) are sweet and mackenzie and Lisa are so nice! The man named Dennis ( i believe is his name) gave me the creeps though. This place does seem to have a high turnover. Always new people everytime i come in. Must be a management issue. The place is clean and i like the outdoor option. All in all I think it's a good place to go in the choto area.“
“When we received our check, there was a 3% convenience charge added for anyone that uses a debit or credit card which they don’t bother to ever mention but instead circle the fee amount on your bill when they bring it to you. We frequent a lot of restaurants in Knoxville and that is the first encounter we’ve had with a convenience fee. Food was great though.“
“Double Dogs went above and beyond! My husband & I have a 2 year old son who is disabled and in a wheelchair. The employees noticed us getting out of the car. One held the door open for us and another sat us at a table. The table already had a chair pulled out to make room for my son’s wheelchair and a kids menu with crayons waiting for him! As I sat down I had tears in my eyes. Most everywhere we go people are nice and accommodating, but double dogs anticipated our needs and I didn’t have to ask for anything. A lot of places also assume our son won’t be interested in crayons, and while we have to help him color, we enjoy coloring with him. Thank you double dogs for accommodating our family and treating our son with such respect!“

“The salad bar had food items everywhere around the containers. We went for the salad bar, I ordered soup and it was not the normal Ruby Tuesdays broccoli and cheddar. Was not good! The bathroom was terribly dirty. The restaurant was just nasty. And it sounded like a manager was yelling at the wait staff.“

“This is the BEST McDonald's in alllllllllll of Knoxville and I have been to just about all of them. The food is always fresh and hot and the order correct. I am a little extra so I always do things like add tomato to my sausage biscuits or extra tartar to my filet o fish, always something, they never miss a beat and the extra is there. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. No matter what time of day you go they never disappoint. Make sure you eat here and support greatness.“

“Delicious hamburgers. They are smash burgers so if you're looking for something that's giant and juicy this may not be up your alley. Food takes a little long to get to you but that is because they cook it there fresh for you when you order. Shoestring fries were deliciously crispy and warm. Hot dog was great and service was amazing. Did not try the custard yet but when I definitely go back I will be trying that too.Edit: After some time, Freddy's has grown on me so much. If I'm ever out here my mother always asks for me to bring home a pint or two of the brownie custard. The service here is always top notch and the food is the absolute best! “Went in last night for dinner. The place was empty but we we're told it'd be a 15min wait for a table. I asked why and we we're told they only had one server because two called in and one was late. There is a real lack of reliable help in East Tennessee and working at the hospital I actually get it. I'll wait for good food. Once we we're seated everything went very smoothly. I got a Sothern Charm burger which was phenomenal. Brown sugar candied bacon, caramelized onions, bourbon BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese on a very fresh bun cooked perfectly medium. The flavor profile was amazing. My side was the onion rings which were really good but I only got five and they are not never ending. My girl got a crispy chicken and fries and was very pleased with both. The fries are really good and never ending so she got more because I kept eating hers. Both our kids got mac and cheese which my two year old devoured. The meal was very good and we couldn't tell they were short staffed. Our waitress was handling the load and I made sure to reflect her effort and work ethic in the tip. Four of us ate and I had a 22oz beer all for $56.00. I thought that was very reasonable. All in all an excellent experience and I would recommend a visit if you want a good burger. There's so many to choose from here. Bring some patience and be kind to the staff that did show up and doing a great job. We will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: A nice kids menu that is also a coloring book with crayons.
