“A highlight of our tripI visited Graceland last summer and were looking for somewhere to dine. We heard good things about Marlowe’s so decided to give it a try. Must say, we made the right decision, the food was absolutely amazing, as a northerner this has to be the best Southern food I have ever tasted, the ribs were some of the best I’ve had. The service was pretty quick as well and the overall atmosphere of the place was great too. It’s location is very convenient, only a few blocks away from Graceland. Overall 10 out of 10 restaurant!“

“Best bbq and brisket I’ve ever had! The staff is amazing. The food cannot be beat. Quality meat cooked to perfection. Best nachos in Memphis!!! Also, you can’t beat the ribs. You must try the brisket. You can’t find good brisket in Memphis unless you try Bain. I recommend adding their house-made queso onto the brisket sandwich. 11/10“
“This place was fantastic!! My party of 4 all loved everything about this place. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak rolls for an app and these were so good. The dipping sauce was definitely the show. We also had the pulled pork sandwich, fries, baked beans and mac and cheese. The baked beans were maybe the best I have ever had. The Mac and cheese was great also. The works were very friendly and personable. I got a peach cobbler to go but I haven’t tried it yet. It sure looks and smells amazing though.“
“This is a lovely little hidden gem BBQ joint in Memphis with amazing food and great service. They are a small joint that offers take out as well as both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside of the place was very hot, and it was a bit small and cramped. However I understand the location can't do much about these, although it still does affect the experienceHowever, if you are not bothered by such things, the food is amazing. I had a wet half rack of ribs. The BBQ sauce was excellent and the meat was cooked great, tender and easy to eat off the bone. The ribs also came with sides, I had fries which were cooked and seasoned nicely, as well as deviled eggs, which were sweeter than I envisioned although I'm sure people who like sweet deviled eggs would love them. They also provide toast which is buttery and soft goodness. To finish off they have a variety of cakes as desert and I had a vanilla cake, it was a double layer very large cake, recommend sharing with a loved one or a friend, but it was very sweet and tasty too, a good way to end the night in Memphis.Overall One & Only BBQ is a great hidden gem joint with amazing service, amazing food. Even if the cramped and hot space sounds like a deal breaker, you can always sit outside or order take out too!“

“Found this one from our fellow Yelpers and it was another success. We were there for a lighter Saturday lunch, and I opted for the breakfast bowl, which was very good. My wife chose the chicken Chipotle ranch street tacos and they too were very good. Our server was excellent. We will go back again and spread our wings across other menu choices.“

“Oh my goodness; I rarely eat BBQ pork sandwiches . They don't sell bbq beef sandwiches and my sister convinced me to try Payne's bbq pork. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. I ordered the jumbo bbq sandwich plate. The bun was toasted and very crispy. The meat was enough for my large bun and two more small sandwiches I made at home.The beans and slaw were delicious, fantastic and very favorable. The customer service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly. I decided to eat there and the atmosphere was great with the old style restaurant vibe (old tables with checkered plastic tablecloths). Whenever you want some pork bbq and the most delicious bbq smoked sausage then Payne's is the place. Don't let the neighborhood deter you because some of the best food is sold in this area.“

“Great food but very long wait. They appeared to be cooking dishes and bringing them out one at a time. There were only 2 other tables seated when we arrived and waited over an hour for the food. BUT when we got the good, it was SOOOOO GOOD. We got the brisket philly - Amazing. Kids got fried shrimp, cooked and seasoned very well.“
“Road tripped to Memphis with my 15 year old and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Memphis! Harper was a great tour guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable not only about all things food in Memphis but learned so much of the history. Also, was neat all the different things he pointed out we would of had no idea about just walking along. The walking was just right, no complaints from the teen. Food was amazing everywhere we went, and we checked out 3 places he recommended outside of the tour over the next couple days(all great service and food!). I would recommend def to anyone new to Memphis, I would love to go on one of their other tours if I go back! “Head down the stairs to the basement of 52 S. Second Street to this rustic Memphis BBQ spot with a jukebox and plenty of memorabilia adorning the walls.Overall, they were not too busy on Wednesday in the late afternoon/early evening. Our group enjoyed the experience and left satisfied with the food and the service.Chicken BBQ Nachos: the chicken was flavorful and moist, the cheese was a liquid nacho cheese, but the chips were just round tortilla chips probably from Sysco or US Foods. Nothing super impressive, but still tasty. 7/10Rendezvous Special (Ham, Cheese, Salami, Sausage, Pickles & Peppers): in my opinion you should just get the 'cheese and sausage plate' with extra sausage. The only difference is you don't get the ham and salami, which adds nothing special to the dish. The sausage had dry rub on it and was good, but not great. The cheddar cheese was in long rectangles, and would have been better cubed so you could make a perfect bite. The pickles would have been better as chips instead of spears for the same reason. 7/10Half rack pork ribs: the ribs were tender but still had some texture and bite to them. Flavor was good, lots of rub and light on sauce. I didn't LOVE the raw rub being put on when the ribs are served. Also I'm not 100% sure, but I think they leave the membrane on the ribs, which was on the crispy side and wasn't the best mouth feel. I prefer no membrane if you can't tell. 7/10Brisket: I ordered the "pork ribs and brisket" and the dish came with about 5 slices of brisket. 2 slices were dry as a bone and not good, and the other 3 slices weren't as dry but they were slathered in BBQ sauce which totally drowned out the flavor of the brisket. Not sure if this was a fluke or not, but that was my experience. 5/10Baked beans: these had nice flavor and chunks of pork which added to the texture and unctuiousness. I don't normally go crazy over baked beans, but these were quite good. 9/10Coleslaw: vinegar base, pungent flavor. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everybody. 8/10“
“The ambiance is one of my favorite things about Hugstables. The staff members are very nice and professional every time we go. There are very few places to go in Memphis where a person can feel safe. On top of that, the food is some of the best in the city. I love to have my sons get their hair cut next door at House of Style, then get some food from Hugstables. I recommend them to everybody!“

“Best Ribs I had in Memphis! I went to two of the big named BBQ places and this was hands down the best. Very flavorful and smokey without the sauce, which was also amazing. The first night I went they had run out of ribs but the BBQ bologna sandwich and potatoe salad were so good I had to come back and I'm glad I did. Is definitely a must try if you're in Memphis.“
“I attended the FREE Parent Workshop — How to Teach Your Child To Read @ Crosstown Theater yesterday and meals were provided free by the program after it was over from T and T Catering LLC and I just had to leave a review! “Awesome food.Molcajete is the best. Service today sucked. I had molcajete, cheese dip, sampler platter. There was so much on the table between those items, the girls drinks, my water and amargarita, and chips. No room, so we eat,get to go boxes no room, to even get the food in a box. 4 employees sitting behind the cashier talking, (we were at the first 4 top in front of the cashier) it was not busy we went early cuz we know how crowded it gets. Several servers walking around… not one, even our server didn’t take any dishes away, I was spilling food trying to move things around and get things out of the way to get in boxes. Very aggravating. I love the food there, but, I go out so I don’t have to cook, clean up, and to have a good time and relax. Not to work or be inconvenienced. I usually tip well, but , no not today. There’s 100’s of Mexican restaurants here. When I found this place we were on a quest to find the best Mexican restaurant in town… we stopped there as we believed we found the best.. but the service seems to be lacking lately, so I believe our quest will continue“
“Food was great. Only in town for one day and to complicate things my husband is newly on crutches AND we are traveling with our dog. Brian the security guard out front was very kind and helped out pup and hobbling husband to the patio while I ordered. Cold beer and generous portions were enjoyed and the live music was great although we couldn’t hear it on the patio“

“Arrived after being stuck in long solar eclipse traffic for hours in the middle of the night where all the touristy spots were closed, this place was the only one open. The joint is extremely local, no frills, folks are super friendly, and it’s very lively inside. We ordered half a rack of ribs and some baked beans and slaw. We were gonna drive and eat but had to pull over and eat in the car when we took the first bite. It’s easily some of the best bbq ribs I’ve ever had. Mind you that I’m a Texas style fan and this is not Texas style, but I was still shook by how good this is. The pork ribs are falling off the bone tender, but not sloppy or without texture, it has a nice crust but juicy and flavorful and has a nice bite on the inside, the sauce is the perfect blend of tangy, sweet smokey but has a nice kick and cuts down the fattiness of the ribs perfectly, the most insane part is that it’s cooked so thoroughly that every bone can be chewed through all the way, and all the flavor and juice of the bone comes out. I’d never had that in any bbq ribs, at best the tips come apart but not the bone itself. We were too busy eating to take a picture and by the time we were done all that’s left are bone fragments. My husband licked all the sauce clean. That was SOME DAMN GOOD BBQ!“

“I got this from Island Paradise is a Caribbean food truck the food was great I ordered ahead the only problem I had was I was starving I'm sure they didn't know that but they said it would be 35 minutes I pulled up 35 minutes and had to wait almost 45 minutes more to get my food that was nice the food was great you just have to be patient and wait and I haven't been to dim some King yet maybe I try them“

“The food was good, I’m from Florida and they didn’t have chicken wings, but they had Turkey legs. The ribs were amamzing just tell them to hold off on the sprinkle of seasoning which I found a bit salty. But perfectly flavored without it. And the mustard base, tangy bbq sauce we have in florida they didn’t have but it was good. I’m glad they didn’t put any sauce on I just the seasoning salt. The baked beans, had pickled something in it and a red strip bologna cut up in the beans which was new to me, and it wasn’t sweet but it was tender. They had cole slaw which also had a different tang, not a bit sweet, but very tangy. Overall it was new to me but Memphis bbq is different from Florida bbq. As long as the meat is cooked and the sauce isn’t over powering I enjoyed it.“
“This is one of the guys who started Bala's Bistro in Whitehaven. There are a few of the same items but 90% different menu with good variety. I sampled the salmon meatball and will get it next time.The Thiep Yapp is a good meal. The chicken is seasoned well, veggies are tender and everything has a slight hint of spice without being flaming hot.They need a,bigger place already. Melt and after we finished eating it we ended up ordering two more to go!! The meat was tender and delicious. The Philly melt was just okay, wouldn’t recommend that one. But the meat was still really good inside just different than expected.“
