“We stopped in after attending an overlanding event at the Penitentiary about 10 miles away. The owner told us they were completely sold out of breakfast and needed 20 mins to clean up for lunch. It must be good if they sold out of all of their breakfast!! We waited and were served very promptly. Fried bologna was OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!!!!! “My girlfriend & I went to Windrock Snack Shack in Oliver Springs, TN, this evening. I had never been there before but I was pleasantly surprised. We got 2 of the Wednesday specials, which is BBQ Ribs with mashed potatoes and corn with a roll. I greatly enjoyed the meal. We got it as Takeout. “Eclectic atmosphere, great beer selection; Frequent live bands and fun events. Not kid friendly (although kids are allowed) so I would suggest planning accordingly.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed, but I would say it’s not kid friendly. I’ve been a couple of times with my own young kids and I felt as if their normal “kid stuff” was only barely tolerated—both by management and other guests (my kids are very well behaved/respectful). When I’ve been there alone, I’ve witnessed families with kids be talked about negatively by management/employees out of earshot (again when kids were not doing anything crazy, just being kids). Plan accordingly!“
“Made a reservation for 3 Friday night. We got right in no problem. It was wonderful. Herb bread and cheese was a very interesting and tasty combo. Tried the filet with the leeks and puree- so amazing. The service was great and attentive. Everything was super clean and asthetically pleasing. It was my first visit after months of wanting to go and it did not disappoint. I will go back with my husband soon!“
“I went to this quaint little place on the recommendation of a customer. It’s situated right next to a bar and I think the bar and grill share the same facilities. I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich. It came out efficiently and piping hot. I definitely enjoyed the meal and would go there again. This place had good service and good food at a fair price if you’re local or just passing through this place is definitely worth a stop.“
“A clean restaurant. The server was really nice and attentive. The food is good. Try the elk burger and rosemary fries! They have a decent beer selection. Unfortunately, the beer on tap wasn't cold enough. Minus the beer not being cold enough, it was an above average dining experience.“
“Ate there Saturday afternoon. Was greeted at the door and accommodations were made for our party to see the basketball game. The old fashioned I ordered was very good and the food that arrived shortly after was excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Ended the meal with a banana pudding that was different than any I've ever eaten before. That was a good thing. It was excellent. Can't wait to return and see if they can duplicate my experience.“
“Great food for a good price. Staff is always very nice. The cheesesteaks are good and hot for 10 to 20 minutes. There is not seating inside, which is fine, so you have to find a spot to eat. There is a public park right across the street. Bring some extra paper towels and wet hand wipes. Drive to a park or any spot and enjoy.“
“Food was excellent and service was fast and friendly but something odd happened. We ordered burgers and onion rings, and we had driven twenty miles, one way, to try this particular meal. Our server said, "I'm sorry but we don't serve onion rings on Saturdays. Would you like fries?" I found that sooo peculiar... and arbitrary but I agreed to fries and waited for my food. While eating an excellent burger and very good fries, a couple in the booth behind ours ordered burgers with onion rings. His server (a different server) wrote his order down and walked away. I continued eating, expecting his server back, any minute, to tell him that, as is their practice, he would not be having onion rings with his burger since it was Saturday. Is Saturday a Latin word for 'serve no deep-fried onions'? I kept eating, anticipating his disappointment when he got the bad news, then there she came, as I felt certain she would, carrying a lovely plate with a big burger and a mound of crunchy onion rings. ?? WTH? Is there a secret password I'm unaware of? I'll go back because the breakfast menu looks yummy but I'll have my eyes on that server. ?“
“Most good hotels have a restaurant attached. Burchfield's is a restaurant with a hotel attached. Been there several times for Sunday night jazz. This year for St Paddy Day. Special Irish menu and 2 Guinness for $8. Shepard's Pie was outstanding. Luke, our waiter was great as usual. We had him other times. Jazz night is Sunday. Call for a schedule. Can't figure if it is once or twice a month. Near as I can tell the "house band" is a group of local jazz musicians who are happy for visitors to sit in. Talent ranges from "pretty good" to "amazing." Bring your ax if you play. For St Patrick's day the gang was hot. Three sax, a bone, two guitars, trumpet, keyboard, drums, vocals. At least three people sat in on the drums. Great food. Reasonable prices. No cover. Fun to watch jazz talent improvise and play off each other. Don't for get to tip the band too!“

“I came during Oak Ridge's annual Lavender Festival, and saw that this shop made lavender ice cream. I am not typically adventurous with my palate, but *everyone* was getting that flavor, so how bad could it be? Spoiler: It was AMAZING. It had a subtle berry type of flavor, and was very refreshing. It was also pretty cheap compared to most ice cream shops. The line was long due to the Lavender Festival, but it was well worth the wait. 10/10 I'd come here again.“
“Best buffet anywhere close to Knoxville. Large selection and run more like a cafeteria. Great selection of Asian staples and American home style favorites. Food is refreshed often, stays hot/cold and consistent flavors. This is also the cleanest buffet we've found, with staff constantly wiping down counters and cleaning up spills quickly. Sushi is pretty good and made fresh with many options including sashimi. Habichi is good but could use more vegetable options. Fridays can get busy so the experience suffers a little but overall a great option for all tastes. Service is always good and this remains our families "go to" buffet. Only improvements might be more variety on weekly specials (it's been sweet and sour pork for months) and removing graffiti from the men's bathroom. The women's is fine.“
“Just like most eateries, Aubrey's over cooks salmon, which should be slightly pink inside so it is still more tender than it is "done". Other than this I like Aubrey's very much, we eat there often as a family. The service is good as well as the drinks.“
“My group is from out of town and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We ended up coming in trivia night (Tuesday) and had a great time!We had 3 of the pizza’s Tuscan, bbq pork and all meat one and they were all good. The bbq was my favorite. The cauliflower wings were great and so were the funnel cake fries and the lava cake.They had an excellent draft selection and will help you make a choice if you can’t pick.To top it off, we had difficulty getting an Uber or Lyft (repeated cancellations) so we were worried we would have to walk back to our hotel. The owner of the bar, Chris, ended up giving us a ride back to the hotel and refused any money for it. Just wonderful hospitality. Please show this place some love. If I come back to Oak Ridge, I will definitely come back here.“
“Our family of five has made it our custom to enjoy the lunch buffet almost every Sunday after church. The food is always fresh, the atmosphere lively, and Caroline always takes excellent care of our table. The breakfast buffet, combined with the regular lunch menu make it easy for our kids to all find something they like. We have even gotten to know several of the employees and enjoy a good rapport with many. Highly recommend!“

“This late Saturday (3/16/2024), my Girlfriend & I went to a Restaurant that I have been wanting to try for several months, in Oak Ridge, TN called Oakey's Sports Grill. I have heard good things about it, and I really wanted to go. My Girlfriend and I found the time, so we went. The atmosphere felt like a Sport Bar & Grill, they have a Stage for a Live Band, Huge Flat Screens through the Bar and Dining area. They have split tables for wheelchair seating and accessibility. We went for a weekend lunchtime, a slower time just after they opened. I have noticed in passing that they are very busy at night-time. My Girlfriend has been there before, but it was my first time. The Staff are friendly & helpful. Emmy was our Server; she was super friendly & helpful. My Girlfriend ordered the Mushroom Alfredo pasta, and I ordered the Ultimate Nachos with extra Cheese & Chili Meat (more protein). We both got Sweet Tea as well. While we waited for the Ordered to process with the Kitchen Staff, we looked at all the decor and took pictures. The Pictures are posted as part of this post. About 10 minutes later, Emmy brought the food. My order was absolutely delicious, the Chili for the Nachos had a welcome kick. My girlfriend really enjoyed the Mushroom Pasta sprinkled with Parmesan. We really enjoy the Food, Service & Atmosphere. “Delicious after a long morning on the trails. The cheeseburger was one of the best I've had in a long time. Fresh tomatoes were an awesome plus. If you like some kick, try the ghost pepper cheese... Super tasty. Fries are nice and salty. Definitely recommend!“
