“Delicious ice cream, so many yummy flavors to choose from! I got the moose tracks and peanut butter brownie flavors - perfect combination! The aesthetic is nothing fancy but perfect for a family outing. Only downside was the staff was very unfriendly. Good thing we went for ice cream & not smiles. My husband says the arcade machine was a scam and not worth the $1 he spent.“

If you are in town, go here. Everything on the menu is good, and plenty of different choices. The line can get long at dinner time, but that's because it is worth the wait. There are plenty of other places to choose from, but this is always the go to for sure.“
“This place has changed ownership a few times over the past few years, sometimes for the good, sometimes the bad. However, wife & I ate there the other night about 25 mins prior to closing and we weren't rushed or felt unwanted by the staff whom I am sure were ready to get home. The food was good, hot, and tasty. Hot fries!! Yeah. Service was quick and friendly and we were treated like the first customer of the day rather than the last one prior to closing which we were. “Amazing! Where do I even begin! The atmosphere reminiscent of a steak house I loved called Starks in Northern California. You smell the smokey wood fire smell with none of the downside. Air is clear and fresh. Kitchen is visible from most the restaraunt. Server Robbie was truly a server. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. On his suggestion I tried the whipped feta appetizer which came with fresh made pita. I love feta but this was a whole new level with honey in the center. My husband ordered buttermilk fried chicken. It was tender and juicy on inside and nice crispy on the outside. Entrees are A la carte. I ordered the charred gem lettuce and wood oven roasted fingerling sweet potatoes. Hubbie shared all my sides and tried some of his chicken. Perfect meal! Then we ordered dessert. Because really that's why we came. My coworker raved about their tres leches cake. And it was topped with fresh whipped cream not from a can.hand whipped. Yummy. We will be back. So satisfied. Definitely fine dining but not snobby and dress as you like.“

The waitress was nice, but it was extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes to get our food, which was 4 burgers and fries.It was seat yourself, so I highly recommend sitting away from the door because there's not much weather-proofing. It was very cold near the door when I went and it was only 40ish degrees outside.“

I decided to give lunch a try & it was mediocre but the service wasn't the best as they were training a new hire which is understandable. “Discovered this gem today! Had the Blue Plate fried chicken meal. Breading on the chicken was tasty and the chicken was juicy. For sides we had black eyed pea salad, blt pasta salad, and potato salad. All of them were delicious. Took a piece of the Texas white cake to go. It was excellent too. Really unique concept with the Blue Plate special every day and all the takeaway meals. If we lived nearby, I would be stopping to pick up dinner on a regular basis. Great experience!“

“OMG! I have a confession to make. I have never made fried chicken! But...I have eaten the most moist, flavorful fried chicken and that was at Home Folks Family Restaurant! I took a bite and knew I would be having more! You can have as much of any item you want including desserts. We were visiting friends of ours and this restaurant was their recommendation. It fills up quickly but worth the wait if there happens to be one. There aren't prices on the menu and our friends treated us so I don't know prices but it's basically like a buffet. You pay one price and eat all you want. The only difference is they bring all the food to you instead of you going up to a buffet. Enjoy!“
