I've been trying to find the best Chinese food to replace stingy PANDA EXPRESS and I was recommended this place and let me tell you, this place has the best food I can find in Austin. I would definitely recommend people to eat 1st wok Chinese food.
I view Americanized Chinese food as separate from Chinese food - not necessarily because the flavors and ingredients are different but more so because they fulfill different cravings. While I consider soup dumplings or dim sum as comfort food, Americanized Chinese food feels more like a guilty pleasure. While Panda Express fulfills that craving very well, I like having other local options, and First Wok is one of them. The portions are huge and I think good for the price. You will never be hungry after you order from here. They always give you large portions. The fried rice is ok but the rest of the food is really good. They usually gave the food ready in about 15 minutes and the process are very reasonable
